21	Ensamma tillsammans : Hotell i Mariefred / Alone together : Hotel in Mariefred Heymowska, Helena January 2015 (has links) Resandet försiggår i korridorer och fickor - mellanrum mellan här och där. Präglade av flyktighet och anonymitet utgör dessa rum en optimal plattform för introspektiv aktivitet. På bussen, tåget, flygplatsen, hotellet är vi ensamma tillsammans. Projektet utgår ifrån en teoretisk undersökning av hotell och andra icke-platser som det globala kommunikationssamhället bidragit till. De temporära rum som resande och hotellvistelser erbjuder ger utrymme för oss att ifrågasätta och utvärdera oss själva och vår identitet. Undersökningen fokuserar på individens påverkan av att befinna sig på avstånd från ”verkligheten”. Mariefred lämpar sig synnerligen bra att placera ett hotell marknadsfört som en plats man kan söka sig till för att vara ensam tillsammans med andra och fullt ut tillåta sig själv att befinna sig i mellanrummet, både fysiskt och psykist. Ambitionen har varit att utveckla ett hotellförslag där arkitekturen - såväl visuellt som rumsligt och konceptuellt - förstärker och uppmuntrar till asocial samvaro och introvert utforskning. / Travelling takes place in corridors and pockets - spaces inbetween here and there. Characterized by volatility and anonymity, these rooms provide an optimal platform for introspective activity. On the bus, the train, at the airport, the hotel - we are alone together. The project is based on a theoretical investigation of hotels and other non-places that the global society of communications has spawned. The temporary rooms that traveling and hotel stays provide, create a platform for us to question and evaluate our selves and our identity.The investigation focuses on how individuals who find themselves at a distance from "reality" react and are impacted. Mariefred is a particularly well suited location for a hotel that markets itself as a place one can go to to be alone togehter with others and to fully allow oneself to be in the between - both physically and mentally. 22	Mötet i Mariefred : ett hotell där karaktärer förenas / Meet in Mariefred Sellerfors, Moa January 2015 (has links) Mariefred är en stad full av historia och karaktär. Olika besökare från hela världen kommer hit för att upptäcka det som finns att se. Samtidigt pågår vardagen som vanligt för de knappt 4000 invånarna som bor här permanent. I det här projektet har dessa två sidor av Mariefred legat till grund för utformningen av ett hotell på en plats mitt emellan den gamla stadskärnan och Gripsholms slott. Även staden och slottet är, likt turisten och lokalbon, i många avseenden varandras motsatser. Slottet är en stor, tung och sluten tegelbyggnad, ensam på sin ö. Stadskärnan utgörs istället av många olika trähus som tillsammans bildar en öppen och luftig väv där skalan är väsentligt mindre. Hotellet utgör en länk både mellan människor men även mellan dessa olika byggnadstypologier. På så sätt skapas något nytt i stadsbilden som samtidigt har en stark koppling till sin omgivning. Hotellets lobby utgörs av en offentlig vertikal spiral som bidrar till att både nattgäster och utomstående besökare tillsammans tar del av hela byggnaden. Detta rum är hotellets kärna och längs dess väg hittar man alla hotellrum i direkt anslutning till de sociala ytorna. Den vertikala spiralen börjar redan utanför byggnaden. En ramp utgör både hotellentré, en plats för lek och en yta att stanna upp på och betrakta tågen som rullar in till Mariefreds järnvägsstation. / Mariefred is a city full of history and character. Different visitors from all over the world come here to discover what there is to see. At the same time the everyday life goes on for the nearly 4,000 residents who live here permanently. In this project, these two sides of Mariefred formed the basis for the design of a hotel in a place right between the old town and the Gripsholm Castle. The city and the castle are in many ways opposites, just like the tourists and the inhabitants in Mariefred. The castle is a large, heavy and closed brick building. The city center rather consists of many different wooden buildings that together form an open and airy weave in which the scale is much smaller. The hotel forms a link both between people but also between these different building typologies. This creates something new in the cityscape that also has a strong connection to its surroundings. The hotel lobby is made up of a public vertical spiral that contributes to both overnight guests and outside visitors when they take part of the entire building togheter. This room is the heart of the hotel and along its way you will find all the hotel rooms in direct connection to the social areas. The vertical spiral begins outside the building. The beginning consists of a ramp that has different roles. It is both the hotel entrance, a place for playing and an area to stay and watch the trains enter Mariefred’s railway station. Tomtens läge i förhållande till staden, kombinerat med de natursköna vyerna över Mälaren, gör läget till ett av stadens bästa. Här erbjuds närhet till både historia, kultur och natur.Hotellet för skapandeverksamhet är lika mycket en mötesplats för Mariefredsbor som det är en tillflyktsort för konstnärer. Den lekfulla träbyggnaden inrymmer två former av långtidsboende för människor som ägnar sig åt skapandeverksamhet, generösa ateljéer och arbetslokaler, en publik del med restaurant, bar och takterrass. Hit kommer målare för att utnyttja ateljélokalerna, författare som söker lugn och koncentration samt, under sommaren, turister som får ta del av utställningar av konsten som producerats på hotellet.Projektet undersöker planlösningen som verktyg för en effektiv och spännande rumsdisposition. Byggnadskropparnas placering i förhållande till varandra, mellanrummen som uppstår mellan byggnadskropparna samt placeringen och gestaltningen av kommunikationsytor är exempel på metoder som syftar till att skapa intressanta och funktionella rumsligheter. / Just at the outskirts of the traditional wooden town centre of Mariefred, the Hotel for Creativity is located. The location of the site in relation to the city, combined with the beautiful natural scenery, makes the site one of the most attractive places in the city.The Hotel for Creativity is equally a place for social interaction between locals as it is a refuge for artists. The playful wooden building houses two types of long term stay for people working with artistic creations, generous studio spaces, a public part with restaurant, bar and a roof terrace. The hotel attracts painters in need of studios, authors looking for peace and concentration as well as tourists who, during the summer, can appreciate exhibitions of the art produced at the hotel.The project examines the floor plan as a tool for creating an efficient and exciting disposition of rooms. The relative placement of house volumes, the spaces generated in between the buildings and the placement and design of communication areas are all examples of methods intending to create interesting and functional spaces. 24	Friluftslivet : Hotell i Mariefred / Outdoor Stay : Hotel in Mariefred Hansson Brusewitz, Anna January 2015 (has links) Genom att ta tillvara på andra kvaliteter är det pittoreska och slottet och ge en mer nyanserad bild av Mariefred blir hotellet tillåtande av stadens utveckling. Mariefred får förhålla sig till en relativt stor struktur men får även mycket tillbaka. I sin tur förhåller sig byggnaden till platsens behov och förutsättningar som allmänna funktioner, höjd, rikt friluftsliv, klimat och säsongsväxlingar. Hotellet fungerar som en nod för friluftsaktiviteter lokalt och som slut på en gren av sörmlandsleden. I området kan man vandra, paddla, segla, utföra geocaching, fiska, klättra och åka skridskor. Bygganden fylls under sommarhalvåret med aktiviteter som hör till och det finns flertalet allmänna funktioner. Strukturen är en tät trästomme som täcker nästan hela tomten som man som besökare upplever både horisontellt och vertikalt, visuellt och i rörelse. Rum, plan och trappor byggs in i strukturen och får förhålla sig till dess dimensioner samtidigt som den ger möjlighet till en klättrande känsla och en flexibilitet till hotellet att förändras efter framtida behov. Gäster ges möjlighet att leva nära det rådande klimatet genom att huset är uppdelat i tre klimatzoner och vintertid rullas en väv av isolering ut som ett tak över loungen för att bilda en varm kärna. Room, floor and stairs are built into the structure and has to relate to its dimensions at the same time enables for a climbing sensation and flexibility to the hotel to change for future needs. Guests are given the opportunity to live close to the current climate by the house being divided into three climate zones. At winter a weave of isolation is being rolled out like a roof over the lounge to form a warm core. 25	Trädsligheter - Hotell i Mariefred / Treeishness - Hotel in Mariefred Eygun Kihlberg, Adrian January 2015 (has links) Grundförutsättningarna för projektet var uppgiften att skapa ett mindre hotell i småstaden Mariefred som skulle relatera till staden på ett meningsfullt sätt. För att hantera hotelltypologins motstridiga behov av å ena sidan publika, livfulla ytor å andra sidan privata, lugna rum tog projektet inspiration av de rogivande träden på den i övrigt livfulla tomten som angavs i uppgiften. Hotellets olika rum, rumsgrupper och planlösning har därmed inspirerats av en trädanalogi. I projektet har även flödande rumssamband undersökts för att hantera verksamhetens stora behov av kommunikationsytor. I byggnaden har dessa försökts minimerats och planlösningen präglas istället av funktionsspecifika rumsgrupperingar ordnade efter förmodade flöden av gäster, personal och övrig logistik. Utrymme för flexibilitet i planlösning var även en del av processen med följden av stor variation av sammankopplade hotellrum eller möjlighet till extraprogram i bottenplan. En betydande utmaningen i processen var att låta trädanalogin vara en inspiration för meningsfull arkitektur utan att landa i det alltför pretentiösa. En annan stor utmaning var att få de flödande, flexibla rumssambanden till en funktionell planlösning och fortfarande ha möjlighet att utveckla projektet arkitektoniskt i övrigt. / The basis of the project was the assignment of creating a small hotel in the town of Mariefred that would relate to the town in a meaningful way. To handle the conflicting needs of the hotel typology consisting of - on the one hand public, vibrant parts and on the other hand private, quiet hotel rooms - the project took inspiration from the trees in the assigned site which gave peace to a relatively lively place. The hotel’s various rooms, group of rooms and the plan has thus been inspired by a tree analogy. The project also has examined a plan characterised of rooms and functions connected in a flow with minimised space solely dedicated for circulation. Groups of rooms with specific functions is organised according to presumed flows of guests, staff and other logistics. Flexibility in the plan was also part of the process with the result of a big variety of interconnected hotel rooms and the possibility of temporary additional programs on the ground floor. A significant challenge in the process was to let the tree analogy stay as an inspiration for meaningful architecture without being pretentious. Another big challenge was to get the flowing, flexible room relationships to a functional floor plan and still be able to develop the project architecturally otherwise.
