O gênero Myrcia DC. (Myrtaceae) nos campos rupestres de Minas Gerais. / The genus Myrcia (DC.) (Myrtaceae) at the campos rupestres of Minas Gerais.Rosa, Priscila Oliveira 07 May 2009 (has links)
Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais / Myrtaceae is recognized for being one of the most abundant angiosperm family in
greater part of brazilian vegetational formation, always appearing between the most
representative families on the floristic surveys. The family is also well represented on the
Cerrado s phytophysiognomies, mostly the campo rupestres , emerging between the 10
families with the highest richness at the already inventoried areas. Myrcia DC., one of the
family most representative genus, shows about 400 species, with Minas Gerais and Goias
states considered the main distribution center. This study has the purpose to catalog Myrcia s
species that occur at Minas Gerais campos rupestres , providing diagnosis, occurrence and
conservation data for the species from Minas Gerais state. The checklist were carried out
amongst the analysis of nearly 2.500 exsicatas of Myrcia stored at BHCB, HUFU, MBM,
OUPR, RB, SP, SPF and UEC herbaria. Additional collect were realized at the Ouro Branco,
Ouro Preto, Lavras Novas, Biribiri, Milho Verde, Conselheiro Mata, Diamantina, Mendanha,
Cabral, Cristália, Grão-Mogol and Botumirim slopes. Myrcia is represented at Minas Gerais
campos rupestres for 42 species, twelve of this species has a vast distribution on the state,
which arises practically all campos rupestres area. From this amount, 23 species crop up in
campo rupeste , as in cerrado s.s. or in forest formations associated with campos rupestres
physiognomy. Nine species occurs only in campo rupestre in Minas Gerais, and shows
restrict distribution to a few areas in the state, cause of it they are considered typical of these
areas. In reference of the conservation status, 26 species are related to the vulnerable category,
two at the endangered and other two at the critically endangered categories. Only twelve
species are included at the low risk category, for being abundant and well distributed at Minas
Gerais slopes.
HUFU, MBM, OUPR, RB, SP, SPF e UEC. Coletas adicionais foram feitas nas Serras de
Ouro Branco, Ouro Preto, Lavras Novas, Biribiri, Milho Verde, Conselheiro Mata,
Diamantina, Mendanha, do Cabral, Cristália, Grão-Mogol e Botumirim.
mineiras. / Mestre em Ecologia e Conservação de Recursos Naturais

Previous issue date: 2015-10-29 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Myrtaceae constitutes one of the largest and most important Angiosperm families of the
Brazil flora and is concentrated in a single tribe: Myrteae (three sub-tribes: Myrciinae,
Eugeniinae, and Myrtinae). Species of this family have been distributed in almost all brazilian
biomes. The Myrcia spp. constitutes one of the largest genus belonging to Myrtaceae in
number species and chemical and biological studies. These chemical studies of Myrcia spp.
have revealed the presence of terpenes, phenolics, and flavonoids, which are responsible for
several chemical and biological activities. This dissertation describe the chemical study of
Myrcia bracteata, M. citrifolia, and M. fenestrata collected in the Reserva Florestal Adopho
Ducke, Manaus (AM), as well as evaluates the antioxidant and hypoglycemic potentials of the
extracts, fractions, and isolated compounds. The HPLC fractionation of the stems and leaves
ethyl acetate extract from Myrcia bracteata had resulted in the isolation of four glycosylated
flavonoids. These were characterized, particularly by NMR and MS, as two dihydroflavones
(naringenin-7-O-glucoside and eriodictyol-7-O-glucoside), one dihydroflavonol (astilbin) and
one flavanol (quercitrin). The ANOVA of the results sequestering ability of free radical
DPPH• has revealed that the non-aqueous extracts of three species of Myrcia (except the
leaves aqueous extract of M. fenestrata) have the lowest values of CS50 (between 37-51%).
Among these extracts, the leaves and stems ethanol extracts of M. bracteata have shown
signs of the flavonoid hydrogens type in the 1H NMR spectra. The sequential aqueous extract
of M. bracteata and naringenin-7-O-glucoside have exhibit inhibitory effects of a-glucosidase
enzyme activity by Saccharomyces cerevisiae of 20.60 ± 0.08 and 23.27 ± 1.86%,
respectively. The leaves aqueous direct extract from Myrcia fenestrata was the only sample
that showed inhibitory response against the a-glucosidase enzyme of the intestine of rats,
whose value is 55 ± 3%. Therefore, the species M. bracteata shows a source of the antioxidant
and hypoglycemic flavonoids, among which three were not yet described on genus and
family. Therefore, this work has contributed to the knowledge of the Chemistry of Natural
Products from plants of the Amazônia bioma.
Portanto, a espécie M. bracteata

In the Amazon region, formations of coastal vegetation on sandy soils {restinga) cover an
area of approximately 1000 km2. In contrast to the restinga vegetation of southern and southeastern
Brazil, restinga vegetation in the north of the country is not well known. This study presents a description
of the woody vegetation of restinga dunes and the relationship between floristics, vegetation
structure and topography near Vila Bonifácio, Ajuruteua península, Pará. A key to the woody
species of the Vila Bonifácio restinga is presented as well as a short summary of the characters important
for the identification of each species. The study site features a complex of dune ridges within
an area of marshes, surrounded by mangroves. Vegetation structure was investigated along 4
transects of 10 m width and lengths of 100-170 m, each crossing obliquely the same dune ridge. Begin
and end of ali transects were localized within the marsh-dune ecotone on either side of the transect.
Elevation and influence of tidal inundation were documented along topographic profiles
across each transect. Within transects, basal diameter, height as well as length of prostrate stem portions
of ali trees and shrubs with a basal stem diameter >2.5 cm were recorded. If possible, fertile
shoots of each occurring species were collected and deposited in local and regional herbaria. 15
woody plant species were identified within the sampling area, 3 additional species were found outside
the transects. The species with the highest importance value was Pouteria ramiflora (Sapotaceae);
other important constituents of the dune vegetation were members of Myrtaceae {Myrcia
cuprea. Eugenia flavescens) and Arecaceae (Aslrocaryum sp.). Most plants were small trees or
shrubs, with the notable exception of Humiria balsamifera (Humiriaceae) and P. ramiflora, reaching
stem diameters of about 30 cm and heights >10 m in some parts of the area. The total basal area
of ali transects accounted to 9.9 nr-ha'1, the overall tree density was 2.293,48 individuals-ha'1. Large
stem diameters of P. ramiflora were only encountered at low elevation; similarly, height of P. ramiflora,
Protium heptaphyllum and Ouratea ssp. was reduced at higher elevations. No convincing relationship
between density and elevation was detected. The species inventory of Vila Bonifácio
overlaps with that of the small number of other well-known restingas along the coast of Pará but future,
more detailed surveys are necessary to arrive at a conclusive characterisation of the restinga
flora of this state.

Estudo fitoquímico, genético e atividade antifúngica do óleo essencial de Myrcia lundiana Kiaersk / Phytochemical, genetic and antifungal activity of Myrcia lundiana Kiaerk essential oilAlves, Mércia Freitas 22 February 2017 (has links)
Fundação de Apoio a Pesquisa e à Inovação Tecnológica do Estado de Sergipe - FAPITEC/SE / The objectives of this study were to characterize chemically the essential oils, to evaluate the genetic diversity and the antifungal activity of Myrcia lundiana plants collected in Serra de Itabaiana National Park, Areia Branca Municipality / SE. The essential oils of 23 plants of M. lundiana were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC/MS-FID. Twenty-four compounds were identified in M. lundiana plants. Great chemical diversity was observed among the M. lundiana plants studied. Great chemical diversity was observed among the M. lundiana plants studied. The compounds found in greater quantity were nerolic, neral, geranial, isopulegol, iso isopulegol, 1,8-cineol and β-pinene, which defined the formation of three groups according to the chemical composition and cluster analysis. Genetic diversity was evaluated through the molecular marker ISSR, among 28 plants of a native population of the State of Sergipe. Thirty-five primers were tested, and 20 of them were polymorphic, resulting in 135 polymorphic and informative bands. The plants were divided into three groups by cluster analysis, the unweighted arithmetic mean and structure analysis. In the matrix of similarity of Jaccard there was variation of 0.15 to 0.87. Plants MLU-014 and MLU-015 presented low genetic diversity with similarity index of 0.87. On the other hand, pairs of plants MLU-007 and MLU-019, presented high diversity, with a similarity index of 0.15. The genetic diversity of M. lundiana plants is intermediate, and its expansion is necessary. The MLU-026 and MLU-028 plants are the most suitable for the conservation of this species. The antifungal activities of formulations based on essential oil of M. lundiana and their major compounds on phytopathogenic fungi Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Fusarium pallidoroseum, Fusarium solani and Colletotrichum musae were also evaluated. For the fungus F. pallidoroseum, the plants MLU-005 and MLU-019 provided 100% inhibition of mycelial growth from the concentration 1.1 mL/L (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). For the plant MLU-022, MIC of 0.2 mL/L was observed, providing a better minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC) of 0.3 mL/L. For F. solani, the essential oils of the plants MLU-005 and MLU-019 presented MICs at the concentrations of 7.0 and 5.0 mL/L. The
essential oil of plant MLU-022 had MIC of 0.5 mL/L, with MFC of 0.6 mL/L. Differentiated MIC was observed for the three studied chemotypes for fungus C. musae, ranging from 0.4 mL/L for chemotype MLU-005, 0.5 mL/L for chemootype MLU-022 and 0.7 mL/L for the MLU-019 chemotype, presenting better MFC for the MLU-005 chemotype of 0.5 mL/L. The essential oils of three M. lundiana chemotypes: MLU-005, MLU-019 and MLU-022 and the 1,8-cineol, isopulegol and citral (general + geranial) major compounds exhibited antifungal activity on the fungi tested. The essential oils of M. lundiana chemotypes and their major compounds have potential for the control of phytopathogens, and can be considered as an alternative to fungicides, since in lower concentrations they presented an inhibitory and fungicidal effect against these organisms.

The present work reports on the volatile constituents from leaves and fruits of Myrcia sp. collected in Amontada County-Cearà State, in march/2006. It also reports on the phytochemical analysis of the decoction solution from fresh leaves, and the ethanol extract of dried leaves of Cissus verticillata in a concomitant study of its pharmacological potential as hipoglycemiant. GLC/MS and GLC/FID analysis of the essential oil from leaves (GAOFOLHAS) allowed the identification of 13 components: d-elemene, b-elemene, trans-caryophyllene, a-humulene, b-chamigrene, germacrene D, b-selinene, a-guaiene, a-selinene, a-Z-bisabolene, d-cadinene, epi-a-murolol and a-cadinol, while the essential oil from fruits (GAOFRUTOS) allowed the identification of 11 components: d-elemene, b-elemene, trans-cariophylene, a-guaiene, a-humulene, germacrene D, b-selinene, a-selinene, germacrene A, d-cadinene and germacrene B. The silica-gel chromatography analysis of the decoction solution of fresh leaves of C. verticillata allowed the separation of a fraction rich in tyramine, and from it, pure tyramine. Pharmacological tests on rats with aloxan-induced glycemia with both the tyramine rich fraction and pure tyramine allowed reduction on the glycemia levels, as well as for total cholesterol, triglycerids and VLDL, but HDL increasing. Silica-gel chromatography analyses of the ethanol extract from dried leaves of C. verticillata allowed the isolation of b-sitosterol and its glucoside derivative. Structure determination of all substances of C. verticillata was accomplished by means of spectroscopic techniques such as IR, 1H and 13C NMR, including uni and bi-dimensional pulse sequences (HMBC and HMQC) ad comparison with data from the literature.

Photosynthetic capacity and nitrogen nutrition of Ecuadorian montane forest treesWittich, Bärbel 09 April 2013 (has links)
NN in Südequador liegen.
