It also studies the existence of some principles in the mask theater; marionette theater, and nô theater, such as: economy of means, focus, score of gestures and actions, neutrality, immobility and the relation of the actor with his energetic center, also known as gravity center. The study centers its analysis in two contemporaneous spectacles played in Brazil: Agreste directed by Márcio Aurélio and played by Cia. Razões Inversas in the year of 2004 in São Paulo-SP; and O Pupilo quer ser tutor´, written by the Austrian playwright Peter Handke and played by the Cia. Teatro sim... Por que não?! in the year of 2007 in Florianópolis-SC, under the direction of Francisco Medeiros. The research includes the concept of theatricality and its relations with the mimesis as concrete elements to discuss the interpretative work which distances itself from the naturalistic way of playing / A presente pesquisa tem como objeto a análise da interpretação teatral em encenações antinaturalistas.

The heuristic value of Aristophanes\' Clouds for the History of Education.

Maria Amalia Longo Tsuruda 14 August 2007 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to show that the comedy Clouds (423 b. Natsume Sôseki - o olhar felino sobre as múltiplas faces do homem de Meiji / Natsume Sôseki: feline \'slook about the multiple of the man of the Meiji period

Afonso, Joy Nascimento 10 March 2011 (has links)
The novel I am a Cat, of the japanese writer Natsume Sôseki, published between 1906 and 1907, it\'s marked basically, with the criticism of the regime in vogue, Meiji period (18681912) in Japan and your social habits. Nevertheless, your construction have based in techniques rarely used in that period, the author mix influences of occidental naturalist novels to oral and theatric tradition on the Edo period (16001867), with the objective of to describe a period that the man passed between the old and the modern. The author has based like was suggested in the title in the point of view from a pedantic cat and owner of a aphoristic language, that analyze the humans in their daily problems, exposing their character, their vices and secrets. Suggesting that when we look to the intimate of man, we too find socials changes: the introduction of the Capitalism and the occidentals habits, yet alienated to the oriental people, was in the same time discontinued and why didnt criticize. We verified this nuances since of the structure of the work, that mix influences of narrative and of novels, giving origin to the polyphony narrative voice and dialogic: the cat. It is the voice that report and because dont write too the history, although dont to posses neither same name. His voice change it according the situation and during the happening of the work, his figure in the start is a simple cat, that transform it in a monstrous be, it is founded in the literary and mythology greats figures of the others felines. So the cat as the others characters of work use it of a satiric and ironic language exposing a sewed criticism to the Meiji society. However, to this language to result in the effect desired must have the application of comic and of parody as support to the censure of socials habits. The comic encourage the laugh of himself and the humans mistakes and the parody make reference to the deconstruction of literature, looking that the social structure are consumed and there are something that yet need to be said. The work in question is a great affirmation that the society dont is resigned with that there is.

A estética e o ensino de Biologia: nas trilhas de Saint-Hilare / Aesthetics and Biology teaching: on the trails of Saint-Hilare

Iglesias, Gabriela Cristina Sganzerla 07 April 2017 (has links)
This proposal is inserted in the research line \"History, Theory and Teaching of Comparative Biology\" and will work with Aesthetics seeking to verify the possible contributions of this theoretical reference for the study of the environment in Biology, particularly in field classes focused on Higher Education in Biology Graduation. The Aesthetics, described by Charles Sanders Peirce (1839-1914), is not limited to a science of the beautiful. Aesthetics has a more comprehensive character and resides in the essence of any object apprehended in our experience that arouses our attention, be it considered beautiful or not by the conventions. It it something that we consider \"admirable\". We found in the ideas of Aldo Leopold (1887-1948), that deals with an Aesthetics focused on the conservation of living beings, a dialogue with Peirce\'s Theory. Leopold (1949) proposes five categories of Conservation Aesthetics: trophy, isolation, change of scene, perception and husbandry. Based on these categories it was proposed a Didactic Sequence having the trail made by the naturalist Auguste de Saint- Hilaire (1779-1853) in Serra da Canastra as a background. We chose to adopt an interdisciplinary approach, and while the students revisit the points visited by Saint- Hilaire, field classes are developed with the aim of investigating the environment as the naturalist himself did

Application of accelerated learning techniques with particular reference to multiple intelligences

Pienaar, Hester Catharina 31 March 2008 (has links)
The aim of this study was to determine the possible successes and pitfalls in implementing a process to accelerate learning and raise learner performance through a multiple intelligence approach. A study of the theory of Multiple Intelligences was conducted which also implied a thorough study of the physiology of the brain, how it learns and how it should be utilised in the classroom. A case study was conducted amongst the learners and teachers of a specific school to determine their ability, willingness to change and their performance in the application of Multiple Intelligences in the classroom. The challenges associated with the implementation of the MI approach were established through different methods. It was found that teachers have much more difficulty in adapting to a new teaching approach than the learners. Time constraints, constant monitoring and support, teacher training, teachers' attitude to change, big classes, a lack of resources and teacher resistance added to the reality which policy makers have to consider in implementing a new approach. / EDUCATIONAL STUDIES / MED (DIDACTICS)

Lector in drama. Fiction, imagination and suicide in 19th-century French theater

Einman, Maria 04 May 2018 (has links)
This study examines the reading of drama texts as the reading of fictional texts, aiming to broaden the current approach according to which the reading of drama texts is mainly limited to text analysis. This question is examined in the light of the issue of suicide in 19th-century French drama. The principal aim of this study is therefore to understand the impact of the character’s suicide on the reader via the detailed analysis of the ins and outs of the suicidal act. The study applies Vincent Jouve’s concept of the virtual reader, who is defined as an implicit and atemporal recipient of the text effects. This reader emerges in a fictional world that is supported by an operative device (dispositif) based on the Lacanian triptych of the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary. The dissertation consists of five chapters. The theoretical discussion is followed by four chapters that deal, respectively, with melodrama, romantic drama, naturalist drama, and symbolist drama. In addition to the effect of the fictional suicide on the reader (which is systematically connected to the catharsis), the evolution of theatrical genres and forms is explored from the perspective of “virtual” reading. Thereby, the reading of 19th-century French drama could be viewed as a journey from the optimistic certainty of melodrama to the tragic indeterminacy of symbolist drama, from actual to probable suicides, from “sorrowful” catharsis to anticatharsis.

Franchi-Querci, Marie-Ange 07 December 2011 (has links)
This study deals with naturalist knowledge and practical experience about aromatic and medicinal flora from Corsica and their entering the heritage. Traditional pharmacopeia and the beliefs which are connected to it, are studied with the intention of conservation and promotion. Then they are compared with the present use of flora/the plants (production of essential oils and by-products) in order to examine the heritage recognition of that knowledge. That work is aimed at contributing to the conservation and promotion of a legacy combining both the organic and cultural aspects as well as a better understanding of the interest of the Corsican society in the knowledge of plants in the course of time. More generally it also follows a prospect to study how Corsica is outstanding to understand the conservation of cultural and organic diversity.
