Icke-verbal kommunikation i omvårdnadsrelationen : En litteraturöversikt om patienters upplevelser / Nonverbal communication in a nurse-patient relationship : A literature review of patients' experiences

Danneholm, Hedvig, Elo, Hanna January 2017 (has links)
Background: Nonverbal communication is defined as all means of communication beyond the spoken word. Previous studies show that patients value nonverbal signals such as eye contact, body language and touch, but also that touch is seldom used as a conscious means of communication. There is also an underrepresentation of research on nonverbal communication among nurses, compared to other professions. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe patients’ experiences of nonverbal communication in the nurse-patient relationship. Methods: A general literature review of eight scientific studies with a qualitative approach. Results: The results consist of five themes; variable nonverbal communication in the nurse-patient relationship, involving the patient, the impact of touch on the patient, the significance of gender on the experience of touch and the patient’s vulnerability. It was important to build a relationship with the patient before using touch. Touch had positive effects on patients, such as making them feel seen, accepted and anchored. The use of nonverbal communication could involve the patients or increase their vulnerability. An issue regarding the gender of the nurses or the patients arose while touching, which could cause sexual excitement for example. Conclusions: The results indicate that nurses’ knowledge concerning nonverbal communication and physical touch should be increased. In clinical practice, there is also a need for efforts to give nurses time to reflect on and increase their nonverbal communication.

Untersuchung von emotionalen Wirkungsmechanismen im Produktdesign

Roth, Mareike, Saiz, Oliver 19 July 2017 (has links) (PDF)

En studie om talutrymme samt bemötande i klassrummet utifrån elevernas kön / A study about speech space and the treatment in the classroom between the pupils gender

Nyström, Erika January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to see if there is any difference in speech space and teachers treatment against pupils with different gender.  I have made this study based on behaviorist and a socio-cultural approach. Children need a positive reinforcement to learn and to co-op with their environment. Together with a more competent student or teacher can a child learn more than on its own. I have observed two operating teachers on two different schools. Every teacher has been observed at four opportunities. I have used both an observation scheme and a sound recording of the classes. After the recording material and the observation scheme has been analyzed. The result has showed that the speech space between boys and girls is comparable with a small advantage of girls, girls more frequent want to speak their mind during class.  On the other hand, boys get more attention via encouragement and injunctions. The result also shows that the teacher foremost is using responsive initiation draws.  It’s the teacher who nominates who get the speak in the classroom and the follow-up to the students is usually short.

Through the theoretical contextualization about the Gestalt Therapy of Couple and Family and nonverbal communication in gestalt approach, it was intended to build a "backdrop" for the contact with the phenomenon questioned in the survey. The access to the experience of the gestalt therapists participants was possible through their narratives, according to the concept of narrative of Walter Benjamin. These narratives were constructed and harvested in the encounter with the researcher and, later, analysed at the light of the Analítica do Sentido - methodological proposal of realization of the real, phenomenological orientation, developed by Dulce Critelli. Therefore, to achieve the objective of this work was carried out a field research, qualitative in nature and phenomenological slant. In General, it was considered that nonverbal communication in Gestalt Therapy of couple and family has an essential importance, since this mode of communication is part in the therapeutic field. In addition, it was contemplated that people usually have no conscience of this communication and, as the Gestalt Therapy works with and for the awareness, addressing the nonverbal proved crucial. However, the theme has proved of enormous theoretical shortage, and that is in this paradox that highlights the relevance and need for attention.

Logrell, Rebecca January 2020 (has links)
The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic has put applicants searching for work in a different position. Due to the pandemic restrictions, job interviews are held digitally at home where most body language comes out of sight from the camera.  The aim of the thesis is to determine how the new situation affects an applicant’s ability to establish a legitimate ethos non verbally. With a qualitative method, three recruiters were interviewed after observing an applicant’s actio in a pre-recorded digital interview and their attitudes towards the applicant were later analysed. The result show that the applicants non verbal behaviors affected the recruiters’ final idea about the applicants ethos. Wanted characteristics such as eye contact are still wanted although it is hard to achieve in the digital format. This leads to ethical dilemmas when for example rather small gestures or dull private backgrounds affect an individual's chance of employment. Conclusions show that improving skills in actio for digital meeting purposes will become a desired rhetorical competence as it will become a future requirement for employers.

Analýza komunikace a argumentace Andreje Babiše prezentované v pořadech Otázky Václava Moravce a Interview ČT24 v letech 2014-2017 / Analysis of communication and argumentation of Andrej Babiš presented in TV programmes Otázky Václava Moravce (Question of Václav Moravec) and Iterview ČT24 in the years 2014-2017

Vitáčková, Eliška January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the verbal and nonverbal communication of the former Minister of Finance Andrej Babiš and especially examines his ability to argue. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts - verbal communication, language means, nonverbal communication, argument and argumentation and pragmatic linguistics. The analytical part of the thesis is based on the principles of qualitative research. The programs of Czech Television - Questions of Václav Moravec and Interview ČT24 were selected for the analysis. The choice of these programs was mainly related to their nature. In the case of Interview ČT24, one moderator and one guest are present. In Questions of Václav Moravec, Andrej Babiš gets into a controversy not only with the moderator of the discussion, but also with other guests. For the analysis of the mentioned areas were selected parts of programs in 2014, when Babiš became Minister of Finance, and in 2017, in which he last acted as Minister of Finance. Between these years, episodes in 2015 and in 2016 were chosen, which made it possible to follow the development of Babiš's speech over the time. The final chapter then summarizes the main findings of the research. The result of this thesis is a characteristics of the speech and appearance of...

The human link between thought and action : How preschool teachers use nonverbal communication in teaching

Johansson, Ann-Christine, Abdal, Kristal January 2022 (has links)

Inclusive online social play through non-verbal communication

Velasquez Araque, Daniel January 2020 (has links)
This research focuses on the connection between voice-based interactions and harassment in online games, from the point of interaction design. It points out severe faults in privacy afforded by voice-based communication and explores beyond this medium to design a communication system that relies only on non-verbal communication (NVC). Such system was co-created with the players supporting the idea that inclusion starts even in the early design stages. Through the playtesting of the NVC system the research shows the many ways in which the type of communication impacts the game and how players experience cooperation, cohabitation, and inclusion in online games. However, to achieve this, this research had to create a framework and mapping methods that focus on the players and their communicative intention. Hence, the “levels of multiplayer communication” is proposed as a tool to analyze and a method to design for communication in games, and it stands as a knowledge contribution along with the information acquired through its use.

What are you? : Form changing dance costumes that encourage imagination in the viewer. / Vad är du?

Wisselgren, Amanda January 2023 (has links)
By integrating the human form with the circular reformable construction, this project presents a storytelling dance costume design. These costumes give rise to an extensive repertoire of silhouettes, providing dancers with a new library of shapes to explore. As a result, viewers are transported beyond the limits of the human form, giving imaginative responses with the goal of stimulating the audience’s creativity.

Comparing Contingent Vocal Imitation and Contingent Vocal Responses to Increase Verbal Communication in Young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Jaffar, Zehra January 2021 (has links)
Individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have difficulties in forming functional communication. The purpose of this study was to replicate Ishizuka and Yamamoto (2016) to determine which intervention, contingent vocal imitation or contingent vocal responses, produced the highest level of vocalizations of young children diagnosed with ASD in a play-based setting. For the contingent vocal response treatment phase, the experimenter vocally responded to each child vocalization with a response that was topographically different than the child’s response. For the contingent vocal imitation treatment phase, the experimenter vocally imitated the child’s vocalization with a topographically identical response. Two children diagnosed with ASD, ages 41 and 57 months, participated in this study. An alternating treatment design was used to compare the effects of each treatment on increasing child vocalizations. . Results indicated that contingent vocal imitation resulted in a higher number of child vocal imitations for both children. Results also indicated that contingent vocal responses and contingent vocal imitation produced comparable levels of overall vocalizations, which replicated the findings of Ishizuka and Yamamoto (2016). / Applied Behavioral Analysis
