This dialogue due to the fact that the modern world presents issues multifaceted, and increasingly complex, seeking urgent answers. In this context, the need arises to think teacher education to advances ahead of the New Technologies of Information and Communication. This study aimed to investigate how the project developed the discipline exploratory Education and New Technologies (ENT), the initial training course for teachers, could contribute to the acquisition of new skills and abilities of the students through the experiences offered in production of materials instructional media, blogs and educational children's books. The methodology chosen for the project was a qualitative exploratory type of action research and developed with students of the Faculty of Education at the University Mackenzie, in 2010. The rationale for interdisciplinary discussions as well as project work, elected pillars of fieldwork were weaving so that they can be seen in the themes contained in the blogs and books produced. It printed a singular trajectory in the discipline, because what you can see is a virtual production and custom printed denoting, between the lines, senses of self-realization, autonomy and responsibility that came to work for meaningful learning. From analysis of this study, it was found that the experiences offered were of fundamental importance to the students aware of their role in the training of staff. Also noteworthy is that the study allowed us to reflect on their own practice and the content taught in the discipline. Promote didactic and pedagogical practices, such as those conducted in initial teacher training, helps to enhance interactions between students and teachers-trainers and contributes to the understanding of new meanings of teaching and learning. / Várias discussões estão ocorrendo sobre a importância de diálogo entre as áreas de conhecimento. Este diálogo decorrente do fato de o mundo moderno apresentar questões multifacetadas, e cada vez mais complexas, que solicitam respostas urgentes. Neste contexto, surge a necessidade de pensar a formação de professores frente aos avanços das Novas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação. Esse trabalho teve por objetivo investigar como o projeto exploratório desenvolvido na disciplina Educação e Novas Tecnologias (ENT), do curso de formação inicial para a docência, pôde contribuir para a aquisição de novas competências e habilidades das alunas através das vivências proporcionadas nas produções dos materiais didáticos midiáticos, blogs e livros infantis didáticos. A metodologia escolhida para o projeto exploratório foi a qualitativa do tipo pesquisa-ação e se desenvolveu com alunas do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, no ano de 2010. Os fundamentos que embasam as discussões interdisciplinares como também do projeto de trabalho, eleitos pilares da pesquisa de campo, foram se entrelaçando de tal modo que podem ser percebidos nas temáticas contidas nos blogs e livros produzidos. Isso imprimiu uma trajetória singular na disciplina, pois o que se pode ver é uma produção virtual e impressa personalizada que denota, nas entrelinhas, sentidos de autorealização, de autonomia e de responsabilidade, que vieram a colaborar para uma aprendizagem significativa. A partir de análises deste estudo, verificou-se que as vivências proporcionadas foram de fundamental importância para conscientizar as alunas do seu papel de agente no processo formativo. Destaca-se também que o estudo nos permitiu refletir sobre a própria prática e os conteúdos ministrados na disciplina. Promover práticas didático-pedagógicas, como as realizadas, na formação inicial docente, contribui para valorizar interações entre professores-formadores e alunos e colabora para a apreensão de novos significados do processo de ensino e de aprendizagem.

A nanotecnologia surge como uma promessa revolucionária na economia mundial. Diversas discussões sobre os benefícios do controle de materiais em escala nanométrica estão acontecendo pelo mundo. No entanto, até que ponto essas promessas irão se tornar realidade? Grandes setores industriais têm investido em pesquisa em nanotecnologia com objetivo de criar produtos com funções nunca antes imaginadas. Do ponto de vista tecno-econômico, a nanotecnologia tem um grande potencial para empresas e para a sociedade. Disto surge uma questão importante: uma tecnologia emergente não teria impactos do ponto de vista social e ambiental a considerar? As lições dos casos com outras tecnologias como, por exemplo, o tema dos Alimentos Geneticamente Modificados, devem ser consideradas, e, por isso, as discussões sobre a nanotecnologia devem ocorrer em uma perspectiva mais ampla, além da perspectiva tecno-econômica. A consideração de múltiplas dimensões (tecnológica, econômica, social e ambiental) é muito importante para o desenvolvimento da tecnologia na economia atual. Neste sentido, esta tese utilizou uma pesquisa de campo com a seguinte configuração: uma pesquisa exploratória, caracterizada por entrevistas com quatro atores envolvidos no desenvolvimento da nanotecnologia, e uma segunda pesquisa exploratória somente com representantes do ator empresa; e a segunda foi uma pesquisa descritiva, caracterizada pela aplicação de uma survey entre pesquisadores do ator universidade e centro tecnológico. O principal objetivo da pesquisa foi propor um modelo multidimensional de análise de impactos de uma nova tecnologia, onde são analisadas as relações dos impactos entre quatro dimensões de análise. Os resultados se compõem da discussão dos elementos do modelo multidimensional de análise de uma nova tecnologia para o caso da nanotecnologia, onde se conclui que as novas dimensões, social e ambiental, são importantes para o devido desenvolvimento de uma nova tecnologia, mas não compreendidos pelos atores do atual cenário de desenvolvimento da nanotecnologia. / The nanotechnology emerges with the promise to revolutionize the world. There are many discussions about the “great” things that could be done from the control of material in the nanoscale. However, until what point all these promises will become reality? International big industries has invested in nano’s research with the goal of create unimaginable daily products. From the techno-economic point of view, the nanotechnology has a great potential for the enterprises and for the society. Nevertheless, the question that emerges is: an emergent technology like that won’t have also the impacts in the environmental and social points of view? The lessons of the OGM cases have to be taken into account, and for this, the nanotechnology discussions have to be done in a broader perspective, that only the techno-economic level. The consideration of these multiples dimensions (technologic, economic, social and environmental) is very important for the development of this technology in the economy. In this sense, this thesis is a result of two phases: first is qualitative, and characterized by the experts interviews; the second is quantitative, and characterized by a survey application for the nanobiotechnology network integrants. The main goal of this research is to propose a model to analyse the impacts from nanotechnology in a multidimensional framework including macroeconomic view and the relationships among different dimensions of impacts. As results it proposed a matrix of “impacts x actors” that allowed a better comprehension of the brazilian nanotechnology scenario (in the nanobiotecnology domain), and the an overview about the initial stage of nanotechnology development considering the potential impacts for future. The main finding is that environmental and social dimensions are strongly related to technological and economic dimensions and are very important to consider during the economic development path.

In view of this most important aspect in teacher education, the research aimed to describe and analyze the professional development of three teachers of mathematics, from the moment they chose to include the technology in their teaching practice. The research aimed to understand the relationship of the teachers - who felt excluded digitally - with new technologies. To understand the new technologies, especially the computer, and work with them were required workshops we call "computer shops": For 7 months there were 12 encounters with specific objectives and characteristics for each, to include participants digitally. Data analysis was made from the meetings, all written and filmed - after authorization of the participants involved in the research project - with the use of technological tools, such as digital camera and MP3. After the digital inclusion of the teachers involved, trying to link the work and teaching educational tool - in our case, the computer. In this search, we met some mathematical programs, especially the Graphmatica, whose features and capabilities for the development of all types of functions, especially quadratic function, we studied. After the acquisition and development of knowledge, finally our research project with activities - reported and commented through comics - involving students in the 8th grade of elementary school do1 II and grade of high school / Este trabalho baseia-se no reconhecimento da importância de serem as novas tecnologias de comunicação e informação, em especial o computador, incorporadas na educação escolar como ferramenta educacional. Por considerar da maior importância este aspecto na formação de professores, a pesquisa teve por objetivo descrever e analisar o desenvolvimento profissional de três professoras de matemática, a partir do momento em que optaram por incluir a tecnologia informática em sua prática docente. A pesquisa procurou entender a relação das professoras que se sentiam excluídas digitalmente com as novas tecnologias. Para entender as novas tecnologias, em especial o computador, e trabalhar com elas foram necessárias oficinas que denominamos oficinas de informática : durante 7 meses houve 12 encontros com objetivos e características específicos para cada um, a fim de incluir as participantes digitalmente. A análise dos dados deu-se a partir dos encontros, todos gravados e filmados após autorização das participantes envolvidas no projeto de pesquisa com a utilização de ferramentas tecnológicas, como: câmera digital e MP3. Após a inclusão digital das professoras envolvidas, procuramos fazer a ligação entre o trabalho pedagógico e a ferramenta educacional no nosso caso, o computador . Nessa busca, conhecemos alguns programas matemáticos, em especial o Graphmatica, e estudamos as funcionalidades e potencialidades para o desenvolvimento de todos os tipos de funções, em especial função quadrática. In addition, a brief analysis is made of the most relevant aspects of the history of the theme and its articulation with informatics. Initially, a survey was carried out in Goiânia's principal secondary schools in order to identify the textbooks they use. At this stage, a detailed examination of the predominant concepts in these books was undertaken. An attempt was made to give the proposal a theoretical foundation, maintaining, from start to finhish, a dialogue with the ideas of the principal researchers involved with the chosen theme. With regard to the historical and epistemological aspects, these were based on works orientated by Almounloud of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, while in the context of informatics there was a constant attentive dialogue with the works of Borba and his disciples and other investigators in the field. with regard to the text, the principal objective of the research, this was based on the publications of the orientator Oliveira Filho. Finally, by using the Linear Web Aplett software, a proposal, which dynamically directs the study of linear functions, was drawn up, while at the same time new concepts were added to those already consolidated. / Esta trabalho apresenta uma nova abordagem noestudo de funções lineares. Analisa, também, os aspectos mais relevantes da história do tema e suas articulações com a informática. Inicialmente, procedeu-se a um levantamento nas principais escolas de ensino médio de Goiânia para identificar os livros didáticos. Nessa etapa, foi realizada uma identificação dos conceitos predominantes no livros. Procurou-se fundamentar teoricamente essa proposta mantendo diálogo, do início ao fim, com as idéias dos principais pesquisadores que se preocupam com a temática eleita. No que diz respeito ao aspecto histórico e epistemólogico, este trabalho apoiou-se especialmente nas análises de Almouloud, da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, ao passo que na área de informática a interlocução deu-se, permanente e atentamente, com a produção de Borba e seus discípulos e outros investigadores. O texto, objeto principal desta pesquisa, baseia-se nas publicações de Oliveira Filho. In the first part of the work, we discuss the concepts of subjectivity and its links with the viewing technology, in light of concepts and studies of Michel Foucault and society of the spectacle of Guy Debord. In the second part, from the concept of Relational Aesthetics of Nicolas Bourriaud, in dialogue with the work of Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, seeking to show how this artist create the singularization of the relationship with the spaces shared through your project in video and film Parc Central. In the third part of the work, dialoguing with On Kawara, with focus on the work I am still alive - series of telegrams made from 1969. Thus, it is sought to understand how these two artists, each one in their own way, are interrelated the singularization of subjectivation processes from speaking in first person. In the fourth part we intended to create tensions between that sentence of On Kawara in the context of permanent connection of the subject in the contemporary through an "action" of the author in the city of Sao Paulo, which included posters with the phrase "I am still alive" and distribution of a video by e-mail. Confronting this "action" with the authors and artists studied, the conclusions indicates that it is through interventions in the ways of life homogenous created by the new technologies of communication that we can create spaces for singularization of contemporary subjectivity / Esta pesquisa discute as formas pelas quais as tecnologias de comunicação criam modos de vida implicando em formas de subjetividade. Na primeira parte do trabalho, discutimos as noções de subjetividade e seus vínculos com tecnologias de visualização, a luz de conceitos e estudos de Michel Foucault e da sociedade do espetáculo de Guy Debord. Na segunda parte, a partir do conceito de Estética Relacional de Nicolas Bourriaud, em diálogo com a obra de Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, buscamos mostrar a forma como esta artista singulariza a relação com os espaços compartilhados através de seu projeto em vídeo e película Parc Central. Na terceira parte do trabalho dialogamos com On Kawara, com foco na obra I am still alive - série de telegramas feita a partir de 1969. Assim, buscou-se compreender como esses dois artistas, cada um a sua maneira, articulam processos de subjetivação singularizadores a partir da fala em primeira pessoa. Na quarta parte pretendeu-se criar tensões entre essa frase de On Kawara no contexto de conexão permanente do sujeito na contemporaneidade através de uma "ação" da autora na cidade de São Paulo, que incluiu cartazes com a frase "Eu ainda estou vivo" e a distribuição de um vídeo via correio eletrônico. Confrontando esta "ação" com os autores e artistas estudados, as conclusões indicam que é através de intervenções nos modos de vida homogeneizantes criados pelas novas tecnologias de comunicação que se pode criar espaços de singularizarão da subjetividade contemporânea

Highlighting the relevance of teachers education toward that objective, the purpose of the research was to indicate possible recommendations for teachers education to get a significant use of those technologies. The aspect to be studied privileged the meanings of the use of new technologies and how the teachers have developed them. In order to recognize such meanings, seen as important references to teachers education, a research was conducted in two schools, involving two groups of teachers. That research aimed to understand how the teachers get along with new technologies, how significant it is to use the computer laboratory for the researched schools, how important the laboratory is for the students education and how education might contemplate the use of new technologies. The data were analyzed through questionnaires and interviews with the teachers, coordinators and principals of both schools. The collected data show that regarding the teachers education and the teachers individual experience, there is a construction of meanings that imply the use of the computer as something esthetic , just to complete the pedagogical process. Although the process does overcome the resistance to the use of that tool, it still does not fully exploit the possibilities of technological resources in order that they can be included in teaching situations to offer real chances of learning / Este trabalho encontra-se baseado no reconhecimento da importância de as Novas tecnologias de Comunicação e Informação, em especial o computador, serem incorporadas na educação escolar. Ressaltando a relevância da formação de professores com esta finalidade, a pesquisa teve por objetivo indicar possíveis recomendações à formação de professores para um uso significativo dessas tecnologias. O recorte escolhido para o estudo privilegiou a forma como os significados do uso das novas tecnologias vêm se constituindo junto aos professores. A fim de reconhecer tais significados, entendidos como referenciais importantes ao processo de formação de educadores, foi realizada pesquisa em duas escolas, com dois grupos de docentes. A pesquisa procurou entender a relação dos professores com as novas tecnologias, o significado do uso do Laboratório de Informática das escolas pesquisadas, a importância atribuída ao Laboratório na formação dos alunos e os reflexos da formação recebida para o emprego das novas tecnologias. A análise dos dados se deu a partir da aplicação de questionários e entrevistas a professores, coordenadores e gestores das unidades escolares. A coleta de dados mostrou que, em face dos processos de formação vividos pelos docentes e da incorporação individual de cada profissional, ocorre uma construção de significados que tendem a implicar o uso da ferramenta de modo plástico , complementar ao processo pedagógico. Embora superando os limites da resistência ao uso da ferramenta, o processo ainda não potencializa a exploração das possibilidades dos recursos tecnológicos de forma que elas se incorporem à situação de ensino como possibilitadoras reais da aprendizagem

As transformações intensas e aceleradas que se observam na contemporaneidade têm afetado, frontalmente, as mais diversas dimensões da vida humana, com as quais as novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) mantêm estreitas ligações inclusive com a educação. Inserido neste cenário, o homem carece, cada vez mais, de balizas para orientar-se no mundo. Sob influência do pragmatismo econômico, os meios adquirem, muitas vezes, mais destaque do que os fins educacionais. Neste contexto, emergem vários princípios orientadores para a educação, nem sempre capazes de conferir sentido ao trabalho docente e ao processo de formação discente. Esta pesquisa possui como objetivo principal refletir sobre os sentidos que os professores conferem à tecnologia e sobre uma possível incorporação crítica dos recursos tecnológicos às suas práticas docentes. Para tanto, investigaram-se as concepções que os sujeitos da pesquisa possuíam a respeito da educação, de tecnologia e das relações destas na contemporaneidade, no que se refere, particularmente, aos fins educacionais e à prática docente. Para a análise dos dados, utilizou-se como principal referencial teórico a obra de Hannah Arendt, com especial atenção para o conceito de sentido e para as distinções que esta autora estabelece entre conhecimento, verdade e sentido. Utilizou-se metodologia de natureza qualitativa, e a tomada de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são professores da disciplina de Física, que utilizam ferramentas tecnológicas em suas atividades docentes, dentro e fora de sala de aula, e lecionam em um colégio particular, de porte médio, localizado em Osasco-SP. Esta escola, que atende estudantes da educação infantil ao ensino médio além de oferecer curso pré-vestibular , encara a tecnologia como um dos principais componentes estruturantes de seu projeto-político pedagógico, disponibilizando ampla gama de recursos tecnológicos a alunos e professores (lousa eletrônica; sistema de teleconferência; auditório aparelhado com projetor estereoscópico cinema 3D; plantão on-line para esclarecimento de dúvidas dos alunos; laboratórios de informática e de robótica). Após análise das entrevistas, constatou-se que as justificativas apresentadas para o emprego das TIC não se caracterizam, mormente, como frutos do pensamento crítico, mas de pressões do pragmatismo econômico valorização do fazer processual; tentativa de amoldar os ritmos do processo de ensinoaprendizagem à dinâmica mercadológica; propósitos da educação voltados, quase exclusivamente, à capacitação dos alunos para o mercado de trabalho. Além de indícios de ausência de controle reflexivo do tempo e de certo desprezo por questões de ordem filosófica, verificou-se, nas falas registradas, que a escassez de evidências de pensamento especulativo sugere que, com os sujeitos desta pesquisa, não se desenvolveu o processo de atribuição de sentido, à luz dos conceitos definidos por Arendt, no que se refere especificamente à incorporação de recursos tecnológicos em suas práticas docentes. / The intense and rapid transformations that have marked contemporaneity directly affect a wide range of dimensions of human life to which the new information and communication technologies (ICT) are closely connected including education. Inserted in this scenario, humans find themselves increasingly at a loss for signposts to guide their way in the world. Under the influence of economic pragmatism, educational means often assume greater prominence than educational ends. In this context, several guiding principles emerge for education, not all of them able to imbue the work of teaching and the process of student education with meaning. The main objective of this research is to reflect on the meanings teachers ascribe to technology and on a possible critical incorporation of technological resources into their teaching practices. To this end, an investigation was made of the conceptions the subjects of this research possessed about education, technology and their relations in the contemporary world, particularly insofar as they concern educational ends and the practice of teaching. The work of Hannah Arendt was used as the main theoretical reference to analyze the information, with special attention focusing on the concept of meaning and on the distinctions the author establishes between knowledge, truth and meaning. A qualitative methodology was used, and the information was collected by means of semi-structured interviews. The subjects of this research are Physics teachers who use technological tools in their teaching activities inside and outside the classroom, and teach at a medium-sized private school located in Osasco, SP, Brazil. This school, which caters to children of preschool to middle school age and also gives university entry exam preparation courses , sees technology as one of the main structuring components of its pedagogical policy project, offering a wide range of technological resources to students and teachers (electronic blackboards, a teleconference system, an auditorium equipped with a stereoscopic 3D film projector, online service for clarifying students doubts, and informatics and robotics laboratories). An analysis of the interviews indicated that the justifications for the use of ICT are not generally characterized as being the fruit of critical thought, but a response to the pressures of economic pragmatism the valuing of processual action; an attempt to mold the pace of the teaching-learning process to market dynamics; educational purposes aimed, almost exclusively, to preparing students for the labor market. In addition to the absence of a reflexive control of time and a certain disdain for questions of a philosophical nature, the answers recorded in these interviews indicated that the paucity of evidence of speculative thinking suggests that, with the subjects of this research, there has been no development of the process of attributing meaning, in light of the concepts defined by Arendt, specifically insofar as the incorporation of technological resources into their teaching practices is concerned.

O estudo identifica as mídias digitais disponibilizadas atualmente pelas bibliotecas universitárias da área de exatas do Brasil e do exterior. Para tanto, verificou-se na literatura de que forma a utilização de ferramentas de tecnologia da informação e comunicação (TIC) atende às demandas de fontes de informação dos usuários. Nesse enfoque, foram elencadas as principais iniciativas de bibliotecas universitárias brasileiras e do exterior com melhor avaliação nos rankings universitários. Elaborou-se, ainda, um estudo comparativo entre a literatura e a aplicação de produtos e serviços disponíveis nos ambientes digitais das bibliotecas. Também foram levantadas as direções contemporâneas em serviços de bibliotecas, como forma de caracterizar a atuação presente e as principais propensões tecnológicas. O objetivo da pesquisa é avaliar as tendências e verificar a adaptação das bibliotecas universitárias aos novos recursos tecnológicos de informação, por meio da identificação do que se encontra disponível para os usuários em seus websites. Utilizou-se como amostra de pesquisa bibliotecas da área de matemática, estatística e computação, em seguida, foram apresentadas propostas de aplicação dos recursos identificados para a Biblioteca Carlos Benjamin de Lyra, do Instituto de Matemática e Estatística (IME) da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). A partir do resultado desta pesquisa, considera-se que as bibliotecas do exterior estão mais avançadas quanto ao uso de ferramentas da Web 2.0 e também 3.0 nos recursos oferecidos aos usuários e em seus serviços. As bibliotecas do Brasil ainda são tímidas em sua atuação na Era Digital, no entanto, mostram consideráveis avanços no desenvolvimento de portais de periódicos e de repositórios em acesso aberto, além de utilizarem os sistemas de descoberta para a pesquisa integrada de recursos informacionais / The study identifies the digital media currently available from university libraries in the area of exact sciences in Brazil and abroad. For this, it was verified in the literature how the use of information and communication technology (ICT) tools meets the demands of users\' information sources. In this approach, the main initiatives of Brazilian and foreign university libraries with better evaluation in university rankings were listed. A comparative study between the literature and the application of products and services available in the digital environments of the libraries was also elaborated. In addition, contemporary directions in library services have also been raised as a way of characterizing the present performance and the main technological propensities. The objective of the research is to evaluate the trends and verify the adaptation of the university libraries to the new technological resources of information, through the identification of what is available to the users in its websites. We used as research sample libraries in the area of mathematics, statistics and computation, then proposals were presented for the application of the resources identified for the Library Carlos Benjamin de Lyra, Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME) of the University of São Paulo (USP). From the results of this research, foreign libraries are considered to be more advanced in the use of Web 2.0 tools and also 3.0 in the resources offered to users and their services. Brazilian libraries are still timid in their work in the Digital Age, however, they show considerable advances in the development of journal portals and open access repositories, as well as using discovery systems for the integrated search of information resources.

As novas tecnologias moldaram a sociedade atual e são fatores chave no aprimoramento do controle da Administração Pública. Com base em uma linha jurídico-sociológica, a análise da evolução do próprio Estado demonstra a elevação da função do controle. Assim, o estudo considera o conceito e possibilidades de abrangência do termo dentro desse cenário, bem como suas classificações mais relevantes para os objetivos propostos. Com o panorama do sistema de controle no país são identificados os dilemas atuais que obstam o controle no nível que dele se espera. Como elo com as novas tecnologias, a obra de Manuel Castells é referencial por apresentar os impactos que conduziram à sociedade em rede. A morfologia das redes já foi identificada na prática como forma de organização social, e não há óbice para sua implementação no controle da Administração Pública, com o emprego de ferramentas tecnológicas. As deduções são aplicadas à Plataforma de Acompanhamento de Licitações Públicas (PALP), iniciativa que simboliza o potencial transformador das novas tecnologias no controle da Administração Pública. / The new technologies have shaped the current society and are key factors in order to improve the control of Public Administration. Based on a juridical-sociological study, the analysis of the evolution of the State itself demonstrates the growth of the control function. Thus, this study considers the concept and scope of the term control, as well as its most relevant classifications, considering the proposed objectives. Taking into account the situation of control system in the country, the current dilemmas that obstruct the control at the optimum level are identified. As a link with the new technologies, the work of Manuel Castells is referential for presenting the impacts that led to the network society. The morphology of the networks has already been identified as a form of social organization, and there is no obstacle to its implementation in the control of the Public Administration, with the use of technological tools. The results are applied to the Plataforma de Acompanhamento de Licitações Públicas (PALP), an initiative that symbolizes the transformative potential of new technologies in the control of Public Administration.

A nanotecnologia surge como uma promessa revolucionária na economia mundial. Diversas discussões sobre os benefícios do controle de materiais em escala nanométrica estão acontecendo pelo mundo. No entanto, até que ponto essas promessas irão se tornar realidade? Grandes setores industriais têm investido em pesquisa em nanotecnologia com objetivo de criar produtos com funções nunca antes imaginadas. Do ponto de vista tecno-econômico, a nanotecnologia tem um grande potencial para empresas e para a sociedade. Disto surge uma questão importante: uma tecnologia emergente não teria impactos do ponto de vista social e ambiental a considerar? As lições dos casos com outras tecnologias como, por exemplo, o tema dos Alimentos Geneticamente Modificados, devem ser consideradas, e, por isso, as discussões sobre a nanotecnologia devem ocorrer em uma perspectiva mais ampla, além da perspectiva tecno-econômica. A consideração de múltiplas dimensões (tecnológica, econômica, social e ambiental) é muito importante para o desenvolvimento da tecnologia na economia atual. Neste sentido, esta tese utilizou uma pesquisa de campo com a seguinte configuração: uma pesquisa exploratória, caracterizada por entrevistas com quatro atores envolvidos no desenvolvimento da nanotecnologia, e uma segunda pesquisa exploratória somente com representantes do ator empresa; e a segunda foi uma pesquisa descritiva, caracterizada pela aplicação de uma survey entre pesquisadores do ator universidade e centro tecnológico. O principal objetivo da pesquisa foi propor um modelo multidimensional de análise de impactos de uma nova tecnologia, onde são analisadas as relações dos impactos entre quatro dimensões de análise. Os resultados se compõem da discussão dos elementos do modelo multidimensional de análise de uma nova tecnologia para o caso da nanotecnologia, onde se conclui que as novas dimensões, social e ambiental, são importantes para o devido desenvolvimento de uma nova tecnologia, mas não compreendidos pelos atores do atual cenário de desenvolvimento da nanotecnologia. / The nanotechnology emerges with the promise to revolutionize the world. There are many discussions about the “great” things that could be done from the control of material in the nanoscale. However, until what point all these promises will become reality? International big industries has invested in nano’s research with the goal of create unimaginable daily products. From the techno-economic point of view, the nanotechnology has a great potential for the enterprises and for the society. Nevertheless, the question that emerges is: an emergent technology like that won’t have also the impacts in the environmental and social points of view? The lessons of the OGM cases have to be taken into account, and for this, the nanotechnology discussions have to be done in a broader perspective, that only the techno-economic level. The consideration of these multiples dimensions (technologic, economic, social and environmental) is very important for the development of this technology in the economy. In this sense, this thesis is a result of two phases: first is qualitative, and characterized by the experts interviews; the second is quantitative, and characterized by a survey application for the nanobiotechnology network integrants. The main goal of this research is to propose a model to analyse the impacts from nanotechnology in a multidimensional framework including macroeconomic view and the relationships among different dimensions of impacts. As results it proposed a matrix of “impacts x actors” that allowed a better comprehension of the brazilian nanotechnology scenario (in the nanobiotecnology domain), and the an overview about the initial stage of nanotechnology development considering the potential impacts for future. The main finding is that environmental and social dimensions are strongly related to technological and economic dimensions and are very important to consider during the economic development path.
