The aim of the diploma thesis is to define individual types of intellectual property and to describe ways of intellectual property protection in Czech Republic including the relevant institutions and legislation. The thesis demonstrates how the intellectual property is protected abroad, concerning the national degree of protection in thirty countries (according to OECD selection) and also the international degree. Attention is paid to individual institutions and their objectives and also to their online presentation via institutional websites with the inclusion of the websites' quality ranking. The patent, industrial design and trademark databases of WIPO and ÚPV (Czech office for intellectual property) are judged according to the ISO 9241 standard. Till följd av digitaliseringens framfart förändras företags och medarbetares arbetssätt varpå nya krav ställs på kontors- och hyresavtalsutformningar. De krav som ställs idag kan sammanfattas med ett ord – flexibilitet. Den ökade efterfrågan på flexibla hyresavtal resulterar i en mängd förändringar på fastighetsmarknaden för kontor. Syftet med studien var att få en inblick i fastighetsägares och hyresgästers attityder gentemot flexibla hyresavtal för att kunna avgöra om det är fördelaktigt för parterna att använda sig utav flexibla hyresavtal jämfört med traditionella hyresavtal. Studien använde sig utav en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes medfastighetsägare, hyresgäster och branschrepresentanter. Studien visade att fastighetsägare och operatörer av flexibla kontorslokaler redan har börjat innovera nya koncept och produkter för att rätta sig efter kontorsmarknadens utveckling för att kunna tillgodose förändrade behov hos företagare. Trenden visar att antalet flexibla hyresavtal fortsätter att öka och därför bör fastighetsägare ha en affärsstrategi för detta.Den slutsats som kunde dras utifrån denna studie är att flexibla hyresavtal är fördelaktigt förbåda parter men att det krävs lite olika implementeringar för att det ska bli mer fördelaktigtför fastighetsägaren. Fastighetsägare som kan tillhandahålla en flexibel produkt som tarhänsyn till dagens attityder kommer troligtvis befinna sig i en starkare position påkontorsmarknaden på lång sikt. Studien visade att den ökade efterfrågan på flexibilitetgrundar sig i att traditionella hyresavtal inte tar hänsyn till den takt företag förändras idag.Vidare är det hög tid att reformera dagens hyresmodell och lagstiftning så att de passar dagensförändrade samhälle och möjliggör implementeringen av det flexibla hyresavtalet. Ökadflexibilitet i hyresmodellen skulle innebära att fastighetsägare kan bidra till ett mer effektivt resursutnyttjande och samtidigt ta hänsyn till hyresgästernas förändrade behov. / The way employees and companies work are changing. The progress of digitalisation iscreating new demands on the design of office and rental contracts. The tenants now require greater flexibility which has resulted in numerous changes to the real estate market for offices. A study was carried out to investigate the attitudes property owners and tenants have towards flexible leases. The purpose was to determine whether it is advantageous for both parties to use flexible leases compared to traditional leases. The study used a qualitative research method in which semi-structured interviews were conducted with property owners,tenants and representatives in the property industry. The study shows that property owners and operators of flexible office space have already begun to innovate new concepts and products in order to meet the changing needs ofbusiness owners. The trend indicates that the number of flexible leases continues to increase thus property owners should adapt accordingly. Furthermore, the study highlighted that flexible leases can be advantageous to both parties,but further implementations are required to also make it beneficial for the property owner.That being said, the property owners that can provide flexible contracts are likely to be in a stronger position in the long term. The study also suggested that traditional leases do not take into account companies' rate of change which subsequently explains the reason for the increased demand for flexibility. In addition, the current rental model and legislation must be reformed to suit today's changing society to enable the implementation of the flexible lease agreement. Increased flexibility inthe rental model would mean that property owners can contribute to a more efficient use of resources and simultaneously take into account the changing needs tenants' have.

A new case for female elders : an analytical reformed-evangelical approach

This study is the product of research in the field of systematic theology, particularly the subject of women in ministry. The goal was to provide, given the scope and limits of the study, the most persuasive case for women elders (or “pastors”) from a Reformed-Evangelical approach to date. The primary means of accomplishing this goal is by making an analytically constructed argument that is both exegetically and theologically sound. The introduction outlines the study’s basic objectives, structure, research methods, assumptions, and overall direction. Two gives a detailed literature review of major publications on the subject of women ministry in order to track the movement of the debate. Three explores theological methods that addresses theological loci, the role of hermeneutics, and the theological-analytical structure and content of Reformed-Evangelical arguments for women elders. Chapter Four explores conceptual framework, which frames the specific, contemporary debate over women elders in Reformed-Evangelical circles, and then addresses the insights and challenges of feminist theology and Roman Catholic theology. The heart of the study is captured in three main chapters that present a case for women elders in the church. The first argument provides a detailed examination of the “prohibition passages” in the New Testament and concludes that they do not prohibit women from being elders. The second argument provides a sweeping account of the proclamation of the gospel in New Testament theology, and affirms that anti-women-elder readings and attitudes simply do not conform to the actions, attitudes, and teachings of the early church regarding gender and gospel-proclamation. Finally, the third section provides three additional arguments in favor of women elders. The first argument addresses the nature of hermeneutics and application of specific interpretations, the second addresses the nature of marriage and its relationship to church leadership, and the third deals with functions of women in NT ministry. The research concludes with Chapter Eight, which summarizes the argument and introduces practical ramifications if the study’s premises and conclusions are true. / Philosophy & Systematic Theology / D. The Politics of Jesus and the Power of Creation

This study examines the theology and social ethics of John Howard Yoder with a view toward how creation and redemption are related in his theology. The first chapter examines Yoder's aversion to certain construals of creation and argues that he is not inherently hostile to creation as such, but is cautious with respect to the possible abuse of creation as a theological and ethical category. The second chapter evaluates the nature of the state in Yoder's theology, examines his view of the Powers in this context, and argues that his view of redemption can be seen as a restoration of an eschatologically open creation. The third chapter compares Yoder's theology and social ethics with those of J. Richard Middleton, arguing that there may be a potential for interconnection between Yoder's Anabaptistic focus on the politics of Jesus and Middleton's Reformational emphasis upon the goodness of the power of creation seen in the imago Dei of Genesis I.

A pesquisa tem como objeto a atuação das associações transnacionais de defensorias públicas e de defensores públicos, especialmente a Associação Interamericana de Defensorias Públicas (AIDEF) e o Bloco de Defensores Públicos Oficiais do MERCOSUL (BLODEPM), e a sua mobilização em prol da difusão da defensoria como modelo nas Américas, e de seu fortalecimento institucional. A análise realizada neste trabalho foi exploratória, na medida em que buscou reconstituir a atuação das instituições regionais de representação defensorias nas Américas. Como metodologia, o estudo utilizou análise de conteúdo para examinar as atas das associações, buscando mapear a rede de atores com os quais estas instituições interagiram. O referencial teórico desta pesquisa são os estudos sobre acesso à justiça e reforma judicial, associados ao debate sobre difusão de ideias, constituição de redes e processos de mobilização. Os achados deste trabalho complementam a literatura sobre políticas de acesso à justiça (BERNEY; PIERCE, 1975; SMITH, 2011) e a sua explicação para o desenvolvimento das instituições que prestam o serviço de assistência judiciária gratuita baseada quase exclusivamente em condicionantes internas dos países, de modo a apresentar que prováveis fatores externos podem influenciar o desenho desse tipo de política. Consideramos que a criação das instituições transnacionais como a AIDEF e o BLODEPM e a adoção de normativas regionais que recomendam aos países a adoção do modelo de defensorias públicas independente e autônoma na região é algo excepcional que permite olhar para os processos de estruturação e reformas destes serviços nos países latino-americanos sob o viés da mobilização de defensores públicos e da difusão de ideias. / The research has as its object the work of the transnational associations of public defenders and public defenders, especially Inter-American Association of Public Defender´s Office (AIDEF) and the MERCOSUR Official Public Defender Block (BLODEPM), and its mobilization for the dissemination of de Defender’s Office as a model in the Americas, and its institutional strengthening. The analysis carried out in this study was exploratory, because it sought to reconstitute the performance of regional representative representation institutions in the Americas. As a methodology, the study used content analysis to examine the minutes of the associations, seeking to map the network of actors with whom these institutions interacted. The theoretical framework of this research is the studies on access to justice and judicial reform, associated with the debate about the diffusion of ideas, the constitution of networks and processes of mobilization. The findings of this study complement the literature on access to justice policies (BERNEY; PIERCE, 1975; SMITH, 2011) and its explanation for the development of institutions providing free legal aid services based almost exclusively on internal conditions of countries, in order to show that probable external factors can influence the design of this type of policy. We believe that the creation of transnational institutions such as AIDEF and BLODEPM and the adoption of regional norms recommending countries to adopt the model of independent and autonomous Public Defender’s Offices in the region is an exceptional opportunity to look at the processes of structuring and reforming these services in the Latin American countries under the bias of the mobilization of public defenders and the diffusion of ideas.

Funktioner som bör ingå vid etablering av ett projektkontor - en fallstudie av projektledares upplevda behov / Functions that should be included when establishing a project management office - a case study of project managers' perceived needs

Sedan behovet av att skaffa sig konkurrensfördelar uppstod har organisationer utvecklat mer flexibla organisationsformer. Projektkontor är ett sådant exempel. De är komplexa så till vida att de kan organiseras på olika sätt, på olika organisatoriska nivåer och inrymma ett spektrum av funktioner. Projektkontor har historiskt etablerats utan att inventera organisationens behov. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka medarbetares upplevelser av behov av stöd i sin projektledarroll. Detta för att göra det möjligt att ta fram förslag på funktioner som bör inkluderas vid etablering av ett stödjande projektkontor inom den undersökta organisationen. Åtta semi-strukturerade intervjuer har genomförts och data har bearbetats genom tematisk analys. Detta resulterade i fyra teman som beskriver projektledarnas upplevelser av behov av stöd: förankring från början till slut, ökad projektmognad inom organisationen, bollplank som är tillgängligt efter projektledarens behov samt initialt stöd via personliga möten. Studiens fyra teman diskuterades sedan utifrån Hobbs och Aubrys modell från 2007, med 27 projektkontorsfunktioner indelade i fem funktionsgrupper. Detta ledde fram till ett antal konkreta förslag kring stödfunktioner som bör inkluderas vid etablering av projektkontor inom den studerade organisationen. / Since the need to gain competitive advantage, organizations have developed more flexible organizational forms. Project management offices are such an example. They are complex to the extent that they can be organized in different ways, at different organizational levels and contain a spectrum of functions. Project management offices have, historically, been established without inventing the organization’s needs. The purpose of this thesis has been to investigate employee perceived needs for support in their project management role. This is to enable proposals for functions that should be included when establishing a supporting project management office within the studied organization. Eight semi-structured interviews have been conducted and data has been processed through thematic analysis. This resulted in four themes that describe the perceived needs of project managers: anchoring from start to finish, increased project maturity within the organization, coach available according to project manager’s needs and initial support through personal meetings. The four themes of the study were then discussed based on the model of Hobbs and Aubry from 2007, containing 27 project office functions, divided into five groups of functions. This lead to a number of concrete suggestions on support functions that should be included when establishing a project management office within the studied organization.

Este trabalho visa a pesquisar sobre os escritórios localizados no estado do Rio Grande do Sul que prestam serviços de contabilidade. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é avaliar os impactos causados pela inovação tecnológica nos escritórios de contabilidade do Rio Grande do Sul, a partir de 1990. A pesquisa é exploratória e os dados são coletados a partir do envio de um questionário estruturado survey, dividido em duas partes. A primeira refere-se ao perfil dos respondentes e a segunda refere-se aos impactos causados pela TI. Para avaliar o grau de concordância, na segunda parte do questionário, utilizou-se a escala de Likert. A amostra é composta por 408 escritórios de contabilidade, que retornaram o questionário totalmente respondido e o procedimento utilizado para o tratamento estatístico dos resultados da pesquisa foi a análise multivariada de dados. O programa estatístico utilizado para a análise foi o SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciencies) que, através das técnicas da análise fatorial do tipo “R”, visa reduzir o número de variáveis, gerando fatores, e a análise de cluster que determina o grau de similaridade entre as variáveis. De acordo com os dados da pesquisa, verificou-se que a TI proporcionou várias mudanças nos escritórios de contabilidade, principalmente, com a vinda da internet, que trouxe mais agilidade e segurança para as informações. Em contrapartida, a TI causou um aumento da quantidade e da complexidade das tarefas executadas pelos escritórios contábeis, obrigando-os a qualificar sua mão de obra e provocando uma diminuição na rentabilidade econômica. / The various applications of the technology, especially, information technology - IT provides changes and breaks of paradigms by businesses and accounting professionals. This study aims to search the offices located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul that provide accounting services. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impacts of technological changes in accounting offices of Rio Grande do Sul, since 1990. The research is exploratory and data were collected from sending a structured questionnaire (survey), divided into two parts. The first refers to the profile of the respondents and the second refers to the impacts caused by IT. To evaluate the degree of agreement, in the second part of the questionnaire, it was used the Likert scale. The sample consists of 408 accounting firms, who returned the questionnaire fully answered and the procedure used for the statistical treatment of the research’s results was the analysis of multivariate data. The statistical program used for the analysis was SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) that, through factor analysis techniques such as "R", aims to reduce the number of variables, generating factors, and cluster analysis that determines the degree of similarity between the variables. According to the survey data, it was able to see that IT has provided a number of changes in accounting offices, especially with the use of the internet, which brought more speed and security for the information. In contrast, IT caused an increase in the quantity and complexity of the tasks performed by the accounting offices, forcing them to qualify their workforce and causing a decrease in economic profitability.

Análise do uso racional da água em edifícios de escritórios na cidade de São Paulo: métodos, práticas e certificação ambiental / Analysis of rational water use in office buildings in Sao Paulo: methods, practices, and environmental certificate

A racionalização do uso da água é necessária para contribuir com a redução do desperdício e com o uso consciente. A cidade de São Paulo se encontra em nível crítico de escassez de água, devido ao aumento da população, da demanda e da falta de tratamento dos efluentes, realizando a captação de água para abastecimento em bacias hídricas cada vez mais distantes. A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o uso racional da água em edifícios de escritórios, verificando os procedimentos, métodos, técnicas, tecnologias e práticas adotadas para a racionalização do recurso. Descreve alguns conceitos sobre conservação da água; qualidade da água; uso potável e não potável; consumo; medidas de economia; substituição de fontes: aproveitamento de água pluvial; lençol freático; poço artesiano; reúso de água; certificação ambiental. O processo de certificação ambiental em edifícios tem contribuído com medidas de incentivo e conscientização do uso racional da água. Entre os selos certificadores ambientais observados estão o LEED; AQUA; SELO CASA AZUL CAIXA; e o processo de etiquetagem PROCEL EDIFICA na bonificação para a redução de consumo de água. Estudos de casos foram realizados, comparando o uso racional da água em um edifício de escritórios certificado pelo selo LEED com nove casos de edifícios de escritórios não certificados, situados em uma mesma região na cidade de São Paulo. Foram observadas as técnicas, procedimentos e tecnologias utilizadas em cada caso, e avaliados os benefícios da certificação ambiental para o uso racional da água, com objetivo de realização de análises comparativas qualitativas e quantitativas entre os casos. Por fim, a conclusão do trabalho destaca procedimentos que auxiliam no desenvolvimento de projetos de edifícios de escritórios para o uso racional da água. / In order to reduce water waste and encourage consumption awareness it is necessary to develop a rational use of water supply. The city of São Paulo currently faces a critical level of water, with scarcity due to population and demand growth, and lack of wastewater treatment, capturing a getting water from increasingly distant supply watersheds. This research aims at analyzing the rational water use in office buildings, checking procedures, methods, techniques, technologies and practices adopted for resource rationalization. Some the concepts of water conservation, water quality, potable and non potable water consumption, saving measures; font substitution: use of rainwater, groundwater, artesian well, reclaimed water, environmental certification are herein included. The environmental certification process for buildings has contributed with incentives and awareness of water conservation. Among the environmental certification seals we have the LEED, AQUA, CASA AZUL CAIXA SEAL, and the labeling process PROCEL EDIFICA to rebate water consumption. Case studies were conducted, comparing the rational use of water in an office building certified by the LEED, with nine cases of non-certified office buildings located in the same region in the city of São Paulo. Techniques, procedures and technologies used in each case were observed and were assessed the benefits of the environmental certification for the rational use of water, with objective of carrying out comparative the qualitative and quantitative analysis between cases. This paper finally presents procedures have been described to assist projects development of projects of office buildings seeking a more rational use of water.
