Αλληλογραφία του Πατριαρχείου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως με τη Μονή Γηρομερίου Θεσπρωτίας κατά τη μεταβυζαντινή και νεότερη περίοδο : συμβολή στη φιλολογική έρευνα της πατριαρχικής γραμματείας

Στη μελέτη αυτή εκδίδονται τα κείμενα των γραμμάτων που απηύθυνε το Πατριαρχείο Κωνσταντινουπόλεως προς τη μονή Γηρομερίου από το 1533 ώς το 1863. Στη μεγάλη πλειοψηφία τους τα γράμματα αυτά εκδόθηκαν προκειμένου να επιλυθούν ζητήματα που κατά καιρούς απασχόλησαν τους χριστιανούς, ζητήματα τα οποία είχαν προηγουμένως γνωστοποιήσει στο Πατριαρχείο οι ενδιαφερόμενοι με γραπτές αναφορές τους. Από άποψη γλωσσική, τα πατριαρχικά αυτά γράμματα εντάσσονται σε δύο ομάδες. Η πρώτη περιλαμβάνει κείμενα τα οποία ανήκουν σε διάφορους τύπους επίσημων γραμμάτων (κυρίως σιγίλλια) και στα οποία χρησιμοποιείται η αρχαιοπρεπής λόγια γλώσσα, η επίσημη γραπτή γλώσσα του Πατριαρχείου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως. Η δεύτερη ομάδα περιλαμβάνει κείμενα που ανήκουν σε λιγότερο επίσημους τύπους γραμμάτων (κυρίως πιττάκια). Η γλώσσα των κειμένων τους χαρακτηρίζεται από την αυξημένη διείσδυση απλούστερων εκφραστικών μέσων. Το φαινόμενο αυτό, που ανιχνεύεται ήδη από την πρώτη μεταβυζαντινή περίοδο και εντείνεται στο πέρασμα του χρόνου, οφείλεται στην επίδραση της απλοελληνικής, διέπεται από την αρχή της προσαρμογής στο είδος ―δηλαδή τον βαθμό επισημότητας― της επικοινωνίας και στο γλωσσικό επίπεδο του αποδέκτη, και εξυπηρετεί την αμεσότητα της επικοινωνίας, απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για την αποτελεσματική άσκηση της εκκλησιαστικής διοίκησης. Από άποψη ιστορική, τα εκδιδόμενα έγγραφα συνιστούν την κατεξοχήν πηγή για την ιστορία της μονής Γηρομερίου κατά τους μεταβυζαντινούς και νεότερους χρόνους. Πρόκειται για το μοναστήρι που ίδρυσε στις πρώτες δεκαετίες του 14ου αιώνα ο όσιος Νείλος ο Εριχιώτης ή Ιεριχιώτης στην Ήπειρο, στην περιοχή της Βαγενιτίας, κοντά στο χωριό Γηρομέρι. Η τύχη του μοναστηριού μεταξύ των ετών 1336-1533 παραμένει άγνωστη. Αντίθετα, τα σωζόμενα πατριαρχικά γράμματα της περιόδου 1533-1863 περιέχουν πλούσιες μαρτυρίες σχετικά με ζητήματα εκκλησιαστικής διοίκησης, κοινωνικά, οικονομικά, ιδεολογικά κ.ά., μαρτυρίες που προάγουν τη γνώση μας γύρω από την ιστορία της μονής και της εξαρχίας Γηρομερίου, την τοπική ιστορία και την ιστορία του θεσμού του Πατριαρχείου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως στο πλαίσιο της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας. / The Correspondence between the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Monastery of Giromeri in Thesprotia during the Post-Byzantine and Modern Era A Contribution to the Philological Research of the Patriarchal Acts The thesis presents the philological edition of the acts which the Patriarchate of Constantinople addressed to the monastery of Giromeri from 1533 to 1863. The majority of these acts aims at settling issues faced by Christians under the Patriarchate’s jurisdiction. The interested parts usually informed the Patriarchate about their demands by written reports. From the philological point of view, the Patriarchal acts in question can be classified in two groups. The first group includes texts belonging to various types of official acts (mainly sigillia), written in the learned language which constituted the formal written language of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The second group includes texts belonging to less official types of acts (mainly pittakia). Those texts are characterized by infiltration of a more simple language. This phenomenon, which can be detected since the early post-Byzantine era and is intensified through the forthcoming years, is due to the influence of the spoken language; it is also determined by the principle of linguistic adaptation to the type of communication –namely the rate of formality– as well as the linguistic level of the receiver, and it serves the directness of the communication, which is an indispensable prerequisite for the effective exercise of ecclesiastical administration. From the historical point of view, the Patriarchal acts under discussion constitute in fact the main source for the history of the monastery of Giromeri during the post-Byzantine era. The monastery was founded in the first decades of 14th century by Neilos Erichiotes in Epirus, in the region of Vagenitia, close to the village of Giromeri. From 1336 to 1533, the fate of the monastery remains unknown. On the contrary, the Patriarchal acts of the period 1533-1863 contain a lot of information on matters of ecclesiastical administration, as well as social, financial, ideological issues etc., information which advance our knowledge on the history of the monastery and the exarchy of Giromeri, the local history and the history of the institution of the Patriarchate of Constantinople within the political framework of the Ottoman Empire.

Cette thèse est une contribution à l'histoire institutionnelle de l'Eglise orthodoxe russe de 1917 à 1931. Elle s'attache aux conséquences pour l'Église russe de la Révolution de 1917, de la chute de la monarchie et de l'arrivée au pouvoir des Bolcheviks. L'importance du Concile Local de 1917-1918, qui a rétabli les tonnes canoniques et administratives de l'Église russe, est mise en lumière : le système synodal gouverné par un ober-procureur fut aboli et le patriarche Tikhon fut élu. Le Concile Local de 1917-1918 et le Patriarche Tikhon réagirent aux changements politiques dans le pays, en particulier après la Révolution d'Octobre entraînant des persécutions contre l'Église, l'arrestation du Patriarche Tikhon, et affectant la politique de l'Église russe après 1923. L'émigration ecclésiale, partie de Crimée, dans un premier temps vers la Turquie, fut à la source de l'organisation des tonnes administratives de l'Église russe à l'étranger en Serbie, notamment à travers le Concile de toute l'émigration ecclésiale de 1921 à Karlovci. L'émigration ecclésiale dut définir ses relations avec le Patriarcat de Moscou. Les hiérarques à l'étranger ne pensèrent d'abord à aucune rupture avec Moscou, mais la situation changea après le décès du Patriarche Tikhon en 1925. C'était une période de division à l'intérieur de l'Église russe à l'étranger mais aussi un temps où les relations normales avec Moscou devinrent impossibles. Le "Locum Tenens". Le Métropolite Pierre, était arrêté par les Bolcheviks et le Métropolite Serge, son remplaçant, était contraint de faire des concessions considérables en faveur du pouvoir soviétique. L'exigence du Métropolite Serge au clergé russe à l'étranger de donner un engagement de loyauté envers le pouvoir soviétique et sa Déclaration de 1927 provoquèrent des réactions négatives à l'étranger. Le Synode des évêques à l'étranger, présidé par le Métropolite Antoine, rompit ses relations avec Moscou en 1927 et le clergé du Métropolite Euloge intégra le Patriarcat de Constantinople en 1931. Les conséquences furent douloureuses pour 1e Patriarcat de Moscou car cette institution perdit toutes ses paroisses principales en Europe Occidentale. / This thesis is a contribution to the institutional history of the Russian Orthodox Church from 1917 to 1931. It emphasizes how the Russian Church was affected by the Revolution of 1917, the fall of monarchy, and the rise to power of the Bolsheviks. The importance of the 1917-1918 Local Council, which has restored the canonical and administrative forms of the Russian Church, is underlined: the synodal system governed by an ober-prokuror was abolished and Patriarch Tikhon was elected. The 1917-1918 Local Council and Patriarch Tikhon reacted to political changes in the country, particularly after the October Revolution, causing persecutions against the Church, the arrest of Patriarch Tikhon, and affecting the policy of the Russian Church after 1923. The ecclesial emigration that had left Russia from Crimea, first to Turkey, instigated the organization of administrative forms of the Russian Church Abroad in Serbia, through the 1921 Council of ail ecclesial emigration in Karlovci. The ecclesial emigration had to define its relationships with the Moscow Patriarchate, The hierarchs abroad did not consider any break with Moscow at first, but the situation changed after the death of Patriarch Tikhon in 1925. It was a time of division within the Russian Church Abroad but also a time when normal relations with Moscow became impossible. The Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Peter, had been arrested by the Bolsheviks and Metropolitan Sergius, who replaced him, was forced to make significant concessions to the Soviet power. Metropolitan Sergius's demand to the Russian clergy abroad to give a commitment of loyalty to the Soviet regime in 1927 and its Declaration in 1927 provoked negative reactions abroad. The Synod of Bishops Abroad chaired by Metropolitan Anthony broke with Moscow in 1927, and the clergy of Metropolitan Eulogius joined the Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1931. The consequences were painful for the Moscow Patriarchate since this institution has lost all major parishes in Western Europe.

Research on the subject focus on the productive work carried out by women, so there is little literature that discuss women's reproductive work. Our research attempts to grasp the female labor by double dimension of production and reproduction. Therefore, the analysis categories are worked patriarchy and the sexual division of labor. We seek to approach the reality of Brazilian workers in the last decade, through the literature review about this recent historical period. The survey has character of literature review and research of secondary data. As conclusions, we find that the female labor force retains some "stays" that seem to structure the condition of oppression / exploitation to which workers are subjected, such as the condition of precariousness in the production and social reproduction; inequality arising from the sexual division of labor characteristic of patriarchal capitalist mode of production. We also see some "changes" in the way of life, in which some indexes show improvements in the condition of the workers. In particular, in the last decade Brazilian, we realize that there has been no structural change, keeping up the rigidly divided market by the hierarchy between the sexes; however it was possible to see some changes, which although still incipient, visibilizam populations historically subordinated the Brazilian social dynamic. We realize as well that changes in female labor force is show significant due to the historical inequality of condition about segregation by sex, class, race / ethnic groups. On the varied precarious forms of women's work, indicated the growth of home work in the restructuring process as an aggravating sign of the capitalist offensive because it reinforces the status of domestic working women as it enables the reconciliation of productive work / reproductive. For this reason, the "leaving home", that is, the condition of paid working in a different room of the house shows how resistance naturalization of the female condition. We consider extremely important the possibility of mediation between the historical condition of women and the public space, which may represent the possibility of awareness of women regarding their condition of oppression and therefore confronting and overcoming this condition. / O trabalho feminino ainda se caracteriza pela desvalorização e invisibilidade. As pesquisas sobre o tema concentram-se no trabalho produtivo realizado pelas mulheres, havendo, portanto pouca bibliografia que discuta o trabalho reprodutivo feminino. A nossa pesquisa busca apreender o trabalho feminino mediante a dupla dimensão de produção e reprodução. Para tanto, as categorias de análise trabalhadas são o Patriarcado e a Divisão Sexual do Trabalho. Buscamos nos aproximar da realidade das trabalhadoras brasileiras na última década, mediante a revisão bibliográfica acerca deste período histórico recente. A pesquisa realizada tem caráter de revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa de dados secundários. Como conclusões, percebemos que a força de trabalho feminina conserva algumas “permanências” que parecem estruturar a condição de opressão/exploração a que as trabalhadoras estão submetidas, tais como a condição de precariedade na produção e reprodução sociais; a desigualdade oriunda da Divisão Sexual do Trabalho característico do Modo de Produção Capitalista patriarcal. Percebemos também algumas “alterações” no modo de vida, em que alguns índices apresentam melhorias na condição das trabalhadoras. Em particular, na última década brasileira, percebemos que não houve nenhuma alteração estrutural, conservando-se o mercado rigidamente dividido mediante a hierarquia entre os sexos; no entanto foi possível perceber algumas alterações, que embora ainda incipientes, visibilizam populações historicamente subalternizadas na dinâmica social brasileira. Percebemos assim que as modificações na força de trabalho feminina se mostram significativas devido à histórica condição de desigualdade acerca da segregação por sexos, classes, raças/etnias. Diante as variadas formas precárias do trabalho feminino, indicamos o crescimento do trabalho a domicílio no processo de Reestruturação Produtiva como sendo um agravante sinal da ofensiva capitalista, pois que reforça a condição de trabalhadora doméstica das mulheres à medida que possibilita a conciliação do trabalho produtivo/reprodutivo. Por esta razão, o “sair de casa”, ou seja, a condição de trabalhadora remunerada em um espaço diferente da casa se mostra como resistência à naturalização da condição feminina. Consideramos de fundamental importância a possibilidade de mediação entre a condição histórica das mulheres e o espaço público, podendo representar a possibilidade de tomada de consciência das mulheres em relação à sua condição de opressão e, portanto, o enfrentamento e superação de tal condição.

Det dolda våldet i nära relationer : En kvalitativ studie om hur kvinnor med olika bakgrund resonerar kring och förhåller sig till olika våldsformer.

Våld riktat mot kvinnor, som mest sker i form av våld i nära relationer, är en avspegling av ojämn maktstruktur mellan män och kvinnor. Därmed anses våld mot kvinnor som en maktutövning, där kvinnors rättigheter och grundläggande friheter utsätts för kränkning. Våld kan innehålla dolda former, vilket sker när dessa former inte namnges eller definieras. Dessa former involveras sällan under det fysiska våldet och därför förblir de osynliga. Syftet med denna uppsats är, att öka kunskapen om hur kvinnor med olika bakgrund resonerar kring och definierar de dolda våldsformerna, det vill säga psykiskt, kontrollerande och sexuellt våld. Dessutom vill vi undersöka om socialisationsprocessen kan påverka kvinnors inställning till våldets olika former. Det empiriska materialet består av individuella intervjuer med sex kvinnor med olika bakgrund. Utifrån feministiska- och familjevåldsperspektivet som utgör centrala perspektiv för denna uppsats, samt med hjälp av hermeneutiska och tematisk analysmetoden har vi analyserat studiens empiriska data. Resultaten visar, att kvinnornas socialisation i förhållande till män, kan påverkas av både det sociala arvet och den sociala inlärningen. Det framkommer även att kvinnorna i vissa avseenden har definitionssvårigheter när det gäller en del våldsformer. Utöver det visar det sig att kvinnornas inställning till olika våldsformer påverkas av ett antal faktorer, inte minst det sociala arvet, som är ett återkommande tema i det empiriska materialet. / Violence directed against women, most of which occurs in the form of violence in close relationships, is a reflection of uneven power structure between men and women. Thus violence against women is considered a power exercise, where women's rights and fundamental freedoms are subjected to violation. Violence may contain hidden forms, which occurs when these forms are not named or defined. These forms are rarely involved in physical violence and therefore they remain invisible. The purpose of this paper is to increase the knowledge about how women of different backgrounds resonate and define the hidden forms of violence, namely psychological, controlling and sexual violence. In addition, we want to investigate whether the socialization process can affect women's attitude towards the various forms of violence. The empirical material consists of individual interviews with six women with different backgrounds. Based on the radical phenomenon and family violence perspective, which constitutes central perspective for this paper, as well as the hermeneutic and thematic analysis method, we have analyzed the empirical data of the study. The results show that women's socialization relative to men can be influenced by both the social heritage and social learning. It also appears that the women in some respects have definitional difficulties in some forms of violence. In addition, it appears that women's attitude to different forms of violence is influenced by a number of factors, not least the social heritage, which is a recurring theme in the empirical material.

The family nowadays do not obey the tradicional patriarchal family model anymore, as in the past an the sexuality has been understood as something that is structured by a social way of living, presenting a diversity form. The Vineyard Church in Cell, which is fundamentalist, desires and tries to rescue the traditional patriarchal family model with a sexual abstinence speech and a promotion of a sexuality control it´s objective is to obtain the happiness in marriage struggling against the high level of dissociate families. / Este trabalho nasceu do desejo de compreender quais as motivações que levam os fiéis da Videira Igreja em Células a se absterem do sexo fora matrimônio, aderindo ao conceito da Corte e verificar qual é a oferta religiosa da referida igreja que leva os fiéis a praticarem abstinência sexual fora do matrimônio. Foi realizada uma pesquisa documental, tomando como método a fenomenologia e a análise sociológica de pesquisa. Os conceitos de família e de sexualidade foram sofrendo modificações através dos tempos. Atualmente, a família não obedece mais ao tradicional modelo da família patriarcal e a sexualidade passou a ser compreendida como algo construído socialmente, apresentando-se de maneira diversificada. A Videira Igreja em Células, sendo fundamentalista, busca resgatar o tradicional modelo da família patriarcal com o discurso de abstinência sexual e a promoção do controle da sexualidade, afim de obter a felicidade no casamento, lutando contra o elevado índice de famílias dissociadas.

Iniciando por uma breve pesquisa da história da mulher como forma de traçar a longa trajetória por que passou até a sua emancipação, o estudo revela, através da análise de diferentes identidades femininas, a abertura de uma nova concepção de mulher na literatura portuguesa.O escritor propõe em sua obra uma reflexão sobre a situação do mundo através do indivíduo e suas atitudes, responsabilidades e anseios. Os ensinamentos que seus romances costumam transmitir aos leitores, na maioria das vezes, partem de personagens femininas. A mulher se completa realizando o papel de mãe, protetora e companheira e, ao mesmo tempo, de amante e guerreira. Considerada pelo presente trabalho uma heroína contemporânea, ela engloba estas duas vertentes que a sociedade por muito tempo insistiu em separar, cuidando da casa e da família ao mesmo tempo em que trabalha e busca seu sustento fora de casa Também é a mulher que, nesta obra, tem o poder da sensibilidade e da compaixão ajudando àqueles que precisam, mesmo quando mal os conhece. E também é ela quem consegue, encantadoramente, metamorfosear-se de menina a mulher, intercalando as imagens de santa e prostituta, sedutora externamente e pura em sua essência.Entretanto, a escrita saramagueana não trata apenas de inibir a matriz patriarcal, ignorando com isso o papel do homem. O que há é o resgate das culturas primitivas matriarcais, com a mulher e o homem governando em igualdade e harmonia. Por este motivo, o homem também é muito importante em seus romances já que, em união com a mulher, incentivado e guiado por ela, partem juntos, através do amor, para uma travessia (humana) existencial, na busca do conhecimento / The proposal of this work is to carry out an analysis of the feminine figure in the romances novels Jangada de Pedra, História do cerco de Lisboa and Ensaio sobre a Cegueira of the writer José Saramago. Beginning with a short research of the woman history as a way to trace her trajectory along the time for her emancipation, and with the analysis of the different feminine identities, the study reveals a new concept of the woman in Portuguese literature.The writer proposes in his work a reflection of the world situation through the individuals and their attitudes, responsibilities and desires. The lessons of his novels to the readers, most of the time have start from feminine figures. The woman completes herself playing a mothers role, protector and partner, and at the same time lover and warrior. Considered at the present work as an actual heroine, she takes the mission of the two distinct activities that the society insisted in making them apart, taking care of home and family while she works to provide their needs.In this work the woman also has the power of sensibility and compassion to help those in needs even when she barely knows them. She is also the one who can, with charm, become herself from girl to woman, fitting in as saint and prostitute, externally pure and seducer in her essence.However, Saramagos writings are not only about the matrixs patriarchal inhibition, ignoring the mans role. There is the rescue of matriarchal primitive cultures, with woman and man governing in equality and peacefully. For this reason, the man is also very important in his novels, since together with the woman, motivated and guided by her, they go trough love for an existential cross over for the search of knowledge

<p>The aim of this study was to investigate how mothers in families with strong patriarchal traditions</p><p>see their role as a mother and as a woman. The study is built upon two main questions: What are</p><p>the expectations of your family and your immediate environment on you as a mother and as a</p><p>woman? And what does “honour” mean for you as a mother and as a woman? In our paper we</p><p>had as a starting point a gender perspective that was further on applied in defining our research</p><p>question. We are also giving an account of the phenomenological perspective that we also had as</p><p>a basis of our work. We interviewed six mothers living in families with strong patriarchal</p><p>traditions. There were half-structured interviews according to an interview guide, with half open</p><p>questions. We followed the qualitative method. The results show that “honour” is a basic norm</p><p>for the mothers, that they have difficulties to even imagine living a life without honour. For all of</p><p>our informants, honour means not to have sexual relationships with several men, and to keep a</p><p>woman’s virginity until she gets married. Avoiding bad rumours that may lead to shame is an</p><p>important part of the mothers’ lives. As women, the mothers are forced to take into consideration</p><p>their husbands’ and older family members’ opinions. It is the mothers’ duty to educate their</p><p>children to behave in “the right” way. According to our informants, a mother should be caring</p><p>and in charge of the household work.</p>

And what does “honour” mean for you as a mother and as a woman? In our paper we had as a starting point a gender perspective that was further on applied in defining our research question. We are also giving an account of the phenomenological perspective that we also had as a basis of our work. We interviewed six mothers living in families with strong patriarchal traditions. There were half-structured interviews according to an interview guide, with half open questions. We followed the qualitative method. The results show that “honour” is a basic norm for the mothers, that they have difficulties to even imagine living a life without honour. For all of our informants, honour means not to have sexual relationships with several men, and to keep a woman’s virginity until she gets married. Avoiding bad rumours that may lead to shame is an important part of the mothers’ lives. As women, the mothers are forced to take into consideration their husbands’ and older family members’ opinions. It is the mothers’ duty to educate their children to behave in “the right” way. According to our informants, a mother should be caring and in charge of the household work.

Its purpose is to analyze the main implications of precarious work contracts in the economic and social dimensions from life of workers, explaining the main conditionings. The majority presence of women in wage relations not only in the hospital service, as well as in the service sector in general has motivated us to appreciation of the form of participation of women in health services and, in particular, at the hospital space. From the critical dialectical method, through processes of successive approximations to the reality, we analyze the patriarchal system of social relations and their repercussions for the Social and Sexual Division of Labor in the context of contemporary capitalist society, explaining the determinants of inequality, founded in social relations of sex, to the predominance of women in the hospital service and unveiling these participation trends in the labor market. The analyzes are based on bibliographic research - theoretical and methodological basis of research - combined with reflections that emerged from the field. The systematized and analyzed information reveal the uniqueness of the current social and economic situation of workers women with ties outsourced, paradoxically expresses on the expansion of the insertion in universe of labor, in overexploitation, in the precariousness of work and living conditions and persistent inequality in and in the social relations and in relations between the sexes / Nossa disserta??o versa sobre as condi??es materiais de vida das mulheres trabalhadoras e as rela??es de assalariamento a que se submetem no ?mbito hospitalar, tomando como l?cus da pesquisa emp?rica o Hospital Dr. Jo?o Machado, localizado em Natal/RN. Tem por objeto analisar as principais implica??es dos v?nculos de trabalho precarizados nas dimens?es econ?mica e social da vida das trabalhadoras, explicitando os principais condicionantes.
