The object of this paper is to compare the Tennessee green pod pole bean with other beans as to chemical composition and food value.

Este trabalho trata de um estudo teórico sobre o MMPI. Inicialmente, apre-sentamos um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o MMPI evidenciando os seus aspectos construtivos, seu funcionamento, suas características operacionais e suas possíveis aplicações. Em seguida, elaboramos um modelo físico fundamentado nas teorias do Motor de Indução Duplamente Alimentado (MIDA) e do Motor de Histerese (MH), o qual agrega as principais características operacionais do MMPI e reproduz o processo dinâmico de inscrição de pólos na periferia do rotor. A partir deste modelo físico propomos um modelo matemático, baseado na teoria dos circuitos magneticamente acoplados, constituído pelo equacionamento do MIDA, do MH e das fontes de alimentação do estator e do rotor. Deduzimos teoricamente todos os parâmetros necessários para a simulação computacional. Executamos a sua simulação computacional no software Matlab/SimulinkTM, cujos resultados ilustram o comportamento dinâmico das suas tensões, correntes, fluxos e mecânica. Comparando-se os resultados obtidos na simulação computacional com testes laboratoriais executados pelo CE-PEL, concluímos que o modelo matemático proposto e os parâmetros deduzidos podem ser considerados validados. Finalizando, sugerimos um motor monofásico de pólos lisos a imãs permanentes como uma alternativa mais simples do ponto de vista construtivo, porém com características operacionais semelhantes às do MMPI. / This work deals with a theoretical study on Written-PoleTM single-phase motor. Initially, we present the results from the bibliographical research on the Written-PoleTM motor, evidencing its constructional features, operation process, operational characteristics and some possible applications. Afterwards, we elaborate a physical model based in the theories of the doubly fed induction motor and the hysteresis motor, which incorporates the operational characteristic of Written-PoleTM motor and reproduces the written-pole dynamic process. Starting from this physical model we propose a mathematical model, based on the theory of the magnetically coupled circuits, constituted by the set of differential equations deduced from the doubly fed induction motor, the hysteresis motor and the stator and rotor voltage sources. We deduced theoretically all the computational simulation necessary parameters. We perform its computational simulation in the software Matlab/SimulinkTM, whose results illustrate the dynamic behavior of its voltages, currents, fluxes, torques and speed. Comparing the results obtained from the computational simulation with the CEPEL\'s test results, we concluded that the proposed mathematical model and the deduced parameters can be considered validated. Finally, we suggest a permanent-magnet smooth-pole single-phase motor as an alternative to Written-PoleTM motor. This alternative, even being simpler from the constructional point-of-view, presents operational characteristics similar to the Written-PoleTM single-phase motor.

RF switches are an essential building block in numerous applications, including tactical radar systems, satellite communications, global positioning systems (GPS), automotive radars, wireless communications, radio astronomy, radar transceivers, and various instrumentation systems. For many of these applications the circuits have to operate reliably under extreme operating conditions, including conditions outside the domain of commercial military specifications. The objective of this thesis is to present the design procedure, simulation, and measurement results for Radio Frequency (RF) switches in 130 nm Silicon Germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS process technology. The novelty of this work lies in the proposed new topology of an ultrahigh-isolation single-pole, single-throw (SPST) and a single pole, four-throw (SP4T) nMOS based switch for multiband microwave radar systems. The analysis of cryogenic temperature effects on these circuits and devices are discussed in this work. The results shows that several key-figures-of-merits of a switch, like insertion loss, isolation, and power handling capability (P1dB) improve at cryogenic temperatures. These results are important for several applications, including space-based extreme environment application where FET based circuits would need to operate reliably across a wide-range of temperature.

The work attempts to contribute to mapping of the lexical field of HOLINESS in Old English prosaic texts. The lexical field in this work is represented by four adjectives (halig, gebletsod, gesælig, gehalgod) which are chosen from the Thesaurus of Old English. The mapping is conducted in the York-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Old English Prose by identifying morphological and syntactical categories of each adjective (predicative, attributive, postpositive functions, comparative and superlative forms; modification by adverbs) as well as the collocational sets (conceptual fields). The results then show the way in which the given adjectives differ in named categories.

Tal perspectiva de análise abrangerá não só o tratamento dado a essa temática, bastante cara à literatura alemã, mas também a sua representação no contexto do Realismo Poético e na própria evolução do gênero novela. Em Pole Poppenspäler o conflito gerado pela transição entre duas diferentes perspectivas, a do mundo pequeno burguês e a do artista, condensa-se, de forma simbólica, na trajetória das personagens Tendler e Paul, ao mesmo tempo em que está presente, de modo realista, a caracterização geográfica e humana das "pessoas simples" ("kleine Leute"), como camponeses, operários e artesãos. Também a regionalização geográfica e linguística estão de acordo com o repertório típico do realismo do século XIX, por meio da representação das paisagens alemãs e do uso de dialetos. Para que a nossa hipótese de interpretação fosse efetivamente realizada, a história do gênero novela foi revista em seus diferentes momentos de existência. Desse modo, pôde-se investigar de que maneira a alteração dos pressupostos históricos provoca alterações na representação do conflito entre as mentalidades do artista e do burguês / Abstract: The goal of this research is to analyze the short-novel Pole Poppenspaeler as a narrative organized around the theme of the opposition between the artist and the bourgeois citizen. Such an analysis perspective will comprehend not only the treatment given to the theme (very dear to German literature), but also the representation the theme has in the context of Poetic Realism, besides the way the genre of short-novel has develop itself. In Pole Poppenspaeler, the conflict generated by the transition between two different perspectives (one from the bourgeois world and another from the artist) condense itself, in a symbolic way, through the characters¿s Tendler and Paul journey; at the same time, it is present (in a realistic manner) the geographic and human characterization of "simple people" ("kleine Leute"), like countrymen, workmen and artisans. Also the geographic and linguistic regionalization are according to the typical repertory of the XIXth century realism. In order to our hypothesis of interpretation be effectively executed, the History of the short-novel as a genre was reviewed in its different moments of existence. Therefore, it is possible to investigate how the alteration of the hystorical processes provokes an alteration in the representation of the conflict between the artist¿s and the bourgeois citizen¿s mindsets. The aim of the diploma thesis is designing the transport infrastructure for the new building of the 4 apartment buildings in Letovice. The design documentation for building permission contains direction and height solution of the building, static and pedestrian traffic and also design traffic signs and outlook’s ratios. The whole newly emerging site is designed as zone 30.

The topic of the thesis is a design of an urban structure fitting into the 21st century amidst former military barracks in Brno Černá Pole. The area is square-shaped and defined by the borders of the streets Provazníkova, Mathonova, Bieblova, and Generála Píky. The area is currently divided among three owners: Ministry of Defence & Armed Forces, Resort of Justice, and National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB). The premise of the thesis is to build a new city quarter which would provide Brno's citizens with housing solutions, job opportunities, cultural and leisure centres not only for the new but also for the current inhabitants. The design includes also several blocks which aggregate multiple functions: housing, commercial premises, and administrative buildings. Generous volume of space has been given to public spaces, most prominently a square with a new town hall for Brno-sever, culture centre and a park. The examined area is situated between two busy roads which is why designing a suitable connection of the area and the overall traffic situation within the area was essential. This thesis aims to unify the area, cut short the traffic connections and create a compact city quarter close to the centre of Brno.

The assignment for this thesis was to prepare an architectural plan for barracks in Černé Pole in Brno. As part of the assignment, I attempted to rejuvenate and open up the given territory to the town and to its people and to connect it to the surrounding structures. I expanded the territory in question with adjacent panel construction from the north, as one of the objectives was to gradually incorporate this development in a way so that it does not create a barrier. The second objective was to revive two historical barracks buildings and a panel building dormitory, which serve as a reference for the image of the place. The thesis is split into two parts - analysis and proposal. In the proposal I discuss specific materials, transportation and public spaces. Most of the territory is made up of residential spaces with civil and commercial spaces, which together make the entire area functional. In my proposal I try to show how the entire territory can be solved, with the involvement of the historic and panel buildings, and not just building on an empty brownfield.

A city hall BRNO – North – dissertation 2015 A public building with the main function for the city hall for city part Brno – North. The building is extended with a representative hall which is also used for the culture and sociable events. Furthermore, this building includes a ceremonial hall, a cafe and a lecture room. A designed building of the city hall is situated in the centre position in a designed building. A close connection with Provaznikova street provides a connection to a current building a good accessibility for pedestrians and also for cars. At first was built the city hall, neverthless during following steps it would fit in the designed building. A position „centre“ and it´s own importance of the city hall allows to create a new strong binding with a current territory since it´s beggining. The public building and a public open space fill in this territory with an active life in a public space. A material solution of the city building reacts on a current and a future urban context. The traffic connection continues with a current communication. An entrances into the building are from Provaznikova street and a suggested square. An entrace to underground garages are on right side from a main entrance in a new designed street. A concept of the city hall includes two materials connected by communication hall which closes a public area of the square. Materials in a ground plan creates almost letter U. A combination of offices, servises for citizens, a multifunctional hall, a ceremonial hall and a cafe offer an optimal contain for a current and aslo for a future city hall. The height of building is moderate and isn´t higher than a designed or sorrounded buildings. A criterion of the building shows a kindness to people going by and also an honour to it´s meaning. A significant architectonic point of the city hall is a rotating arcade created by colonnade in an axial distance 2m and height 6,5m. This point itself contributes to an extraordinariness of this building and refers to Greek archatype. A regularity, a rast and a tectonics in all building is based on a constructive module which influenced an inner layout structure. A strenght and a stability is impared by a facade from a classical obverse masonry which has two visual solutions for an administrativelly – authoritilly part and more decorated for a part with a hall and a hall. A transparency of developments which is connected with a phylosophy of the city hall is shown in a glass entrance hall, furthermore in a solutions of corridors and offices and all kinds of boardrooms. The building is designed with a consideration of a premanently sustainable developement and management with energies, as a sustainable building.
