The topic of this research is education specialists’ professional writing. It is generally assumed that education specialists feel rather uncomfortable with professional writings although language whether, oral or written, IS the work. Moreover, since the early 2000’s, along with the changes implied by the New Public Management reforms, a huge emphasis is put on written activities in this profession. This research examines the real issues hidden behind the claim of an oral tradition explanation from educators specialist. Starting with the constraints (natural, non-natural, narratives, linguistics) that are bearing upon these educators’ professional writing, this work is organized in two parts. The first part is setting up a conceptual frame based on history, words, knowledge and language of educational workers through authors like Michel Foucault, Georges Canguilhem, Paul Ricoeur. The second part focuses on what educators, employed in a non profit organization, actually say about their practices through a quantitative enquiry and on analysis of documents. This non profit organization (OVE) dedicated to persons with special needs, manages 60 institutions and services and employs 389 teachers. To the end this research opens new ways of considering relations between professionals and persons with special needs, connections between profession and writing and, through narrative method, renewed forms of professional writing. Through thinking a new articulation between praxis and the clinical of care, a reflection on the place of literacies and pratices’ analysis is therefore needed in the educational training of this professionals.

A profissionalização docente apresenta dificuldades específicas. / This master’s degree dissertation aims to present the profile of the university professors in the federal public network, who entered after 2004. It will be valued how the professionalization is impacted by the present labor conditions and by the current intensification demands for scientific productivity. The transformations in the activities of the university teachers track the changes of the Brazilian university itself influenced by the new socioeconomic configurations, the labor world and scientific production reorganizations. The problematic of the newly admitted professors holds an importance way beyond the pedagogical field: the professionalization conditions and its consequences cannot be regarded as the teacher’s individual responsibility, yet a challenge for the public policies. In order to better understand this situation, a group of professors who joined UFRGS, the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University, from 2004 thru 2011 was selected. They were admitted to the institution in the subsequent period to the Social Security Reform approval (2003), which has deeply altered the public servants career. This is also the group which expanded significantly after the REUNI implantation in 2008, and today it represents one third of UFRGS total teacher members. By choosing the case study as the method, qualitative oriented and semi structured interviews made with 24 new generation professors were mixed with other UFRGS general indicators. The axes that composed this research are complementary. In other words, discussing teachers’ professionalization presupposed verify a series of indicators (formation, career, salary, associations, etc), including the work conditions and the relation with scientific productivity. The professionalization in the teaching area seems to be occurring through a contradictory movement. What is required from professors (from permanent qualification up to productivity index compliance) does not correspond to the conditions for their job accomplishment. If, on the one hand, qualification and professional prestige have increased - acting as a teaching career appeal – on the other hand, labor demands have increased as well. The growing set of prescribed activities has reduced the space for the exercise of autonomy. The daily work period proper to teaching work reveals a double-sided feature: its flexibility when it comes to the work load accomplishment may be seen positively or otherwise as the absence of control over one’s own time, especially when the number of activities to perform is huge. A considerable parcel of the duties is not taken into account by the institution for the workday computation, thus concealing the fact that the majority of the professors exceed their work load regime. Such obligations are related to activities that teachers “voluntarily” assume, in particular within the framework of the scientific research. It could be observed the repercussions thereof over the workers’ health, ultimately the stress resulting from these working hours. Furthermore, the reluctance to separate the professional sphere from the personal one was even clearer. This work invasion into the home boundaries ends up creating domestic problems within the family relations, hence making it difficult to carry on activities that provide a more meaningful life.

The concern with in service ongoing training in contemporary scenario has become central, although this theme is not new in the context of educational policies. The increasing number of papers on this subject in the last years is a proof of this interest. The research expansion on this approach is articulated with the State counter-reformation and thus the Brazilian education counter-reform bringing evidence that this is considered as a fundamental part in the productive restructuring process, because it is responsible for the change that was expected to promote the teachers, by the professionalization processes. The theme of this survey involves the in service ongoing training of the teachers who work in Minas Gerais public schools. This clipping covers the Reference Schools Project (PROJER) implemented by Minas Gerais State government since 2003. It approaches specially the in service ongoing training Program as a part of PROJER, named as Professional Development Project (PDP). In this project, we analyzed the Professional Development Groups (PDG) who worked from 2004 to 2012 in the Reference Schools (RS) in the city of Uberlândia. This research is a part of PRODOUTORAL (PRODOCTORAT), supported by CAPES and it aimed to (a) analyze the fundamentals of the PROJER’s in service training program under PDG; (b) analyze the implementation process and its implications in teacher’s professionalization; (c) analyze the meaning of the formation program and the role of PDG, considering the challenges of teacher’s professionalization and training and qualification of educational work. The hypothesis was that PDP Program, as a part of PROJER, a compensatory training measure that does not allow a consistent teacher’s formation, based on deepening and advancing knowledge about teaching and learning. It also intensifies the coordinators’ labor. We used a combination of tools for data collection: documentary research, literature review, the mixed questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. We recorded 43 interviews to PDG’s coordinators and to 9 managers of the Reference Schools and to 2 educational analysts in 40thEducation Superintendent. The used theoretical tools involve elements from Sociologic Theory in order to analyze both the State and Educational counter-reformation. We used the concept of State ideas besides the managerialism concept which supports the idea of counter-reformation ideas and the concept of intellectual as cultural organizers according to Gramsci. The concepts arising from educational theory that support PROJER, our analysis object, in its specific approach PDG were the following ones: pedagogic autonomy; educational work and teacher’s professionalization. Our conclusions point out that the in service ongoing training process stated by PROJER served to consolidate the "evaluation policy" at the expense of raising the professional quality of the GDP’s coordinators and it established the strong managerialism in Minas Gerais Education resulting in an intensification of teacher’s work

Previous issue date: 2014-06-30 / With the objective of analyzing the collaborative teaching practice in higher education, investigating their difficulties / limitations and advances as well as the context in which it occurs, this research used the method of critical collaborative action research and was developed with a public university teachers in Mato Grosso/Brazil. This study is justified by the need to promote collaborative teaching practice in higher education as a continuing training, focusing on teacher professional development and, consequently, to improve teaching and learning processes. To achieve this, three data collections consist of three steps were employed: in the first stage semi-structured interviews with 19 participants were conducted in order to profile them, the process of professional development and the limits and difficulties of their actions as a teacher; in second, documentary analysis was performed using the pedagogical design of the course, teaching plans and minutes of collegiate, to identify the conceptions of education and collective work records existed; finally, meetings with teachers were performed to critical reflection on collaborative action. The data collected indicated the existence of a balkanized work, because teachers gathered in various groups, according to your individual interests. The methodological paths provided by the critical-collaborative action research showed that, although the formation of a collaborative work is a route conquered the long term is an opportunity for learning and professional development, teachers showed that the participants during the discussions and possible be required. Hopefully, with this study, to extend the reflection of this practice to other groups to improve their teaching practice.

The aim of this study is to explore what happens when the Swedish disability policy (LSS) is translated into practice. The study focuses on the organizing that takes place at a local, municipal level. It uses a qualitative approach with a mix of qualitative methods and is actively involving practitioners in the co-‐ production of empirical data. Drawing on Actor-‐network theory (ANT) as a conceptual framework, the analysis focuses on how actors and actants are assembled in networks. A detailed map is developed, comprising relations, formations and tensions that emerges from the efforts of translating policy into practice, Results identify the function of front-‐line managers as a central and overloaded hub. It shows how unforeseen, unintended and undesirable effects arise as a result of both planned action programs and recurrent, not anticipated events. An ongoing professionalization, is described as a result of internal organizational conditions, rather than policy implementation or the self-‐ interest of professions. The study illustrates the complexity and challenges of welfare organizations and the results can be used for further organizational studies as well as serve as a roadmap for organizational development within disability services.

De la fourmi à l’atome : les sciences naturelles vues et vécues par Charles Janet (1849-1932) / From the ant to the atom : the natural sciences seen and experienced by Charles Janet (1849-1932)Casson, Loïc 30 March 2018 (has links)
The French naturalist Charles Janet (1849-1932) is remained on the margins of the great scientific figures. However, the Academy of Sciences acknowledged some of his entomological works and nowadays, his atomic classification emerges in discussions of chemists. Graduated from Ecole Centrale, civil engineer and manufacturer in province, he was among other things, geologist, paleontologist, entomologist, biologist and chemist even if these disciplines reflect only a part of his research. Unsung and split in his specialities, his works have been very little studied and never in an overall view. Hence, the biography proposed here will go beyond these disciplinary divides. Through the own perceptions of Janet, we will engage our project towards the microhistory that gives us the way to observe the work of a scholar. It will be revealing some functions, uses and sociability of the local or national societies that arise in real scientific authority and we will examine their links with the Academy of Sciences. The main will be the Zoological Society of France of which Janet became president. In addition, he allows us to observe a macro-historical trend, which is that of the specialization and the marginalization of entomology. This will lead us to question the classic duality 'professionals versus amateurs' among scientists. Thanks to his polyvalency, his long career both off and in the official science, Janet is a privileged witness of the natural sciences at the turn of the 19th century. Trace Janet’s life and work, is observing science through the anonymous people who might be raised for a while at the level of the glories of their era. If this research reflects the practices of an unsung scientist, it represents paradoxically (in our view) most of the naturalists of his time.

(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research has as its background the teacher professionalization movement, focusing on aspects related to the teachers' formation, more specifically the content of the sharing between them in formative moments. The study is based on concepts of the ergonomic approach for work and the activity’s clinic, especially regarding the notions of activity, professional gender and professional styles. The general objective is to identify elements of the professional teaching genre that circulate among basic education teachers in formative meetings, unfold, more specifically, the following objectives: a) characterize in which situations the circulation of professional content among teachers occurs in formative moments; b) identify contents that circulate among teachers in systematized moments of sharing, experienced in formative spaces; c) identify elements of the professional genre present in these contents; d) understand the meanings that teachers attribute to these elements of the professional teaching genre circulating among peers in the training spaces. The research was developed from a qualitative perspective, choosing as an empirical reference an university extension program aimed for teachers of basic education. In the field research, three stages were followed: an incursion into the extension course (aiming to know the course and the dynamics of activities); participant observation, with the use of video recording of the formative meetings; and focus groups and interviews, u...
