This work describes cyberculture with its technological imaginary figment, identifying the way how one rebuilds the catholic religiosity in cyberspace, it this work studies symbolical goods supply practices, through on line technological tools in Paulus site; as well as it this Work searches understanding the marketing logicians, appeals and strategies concerning the symbolical spiritual products supply in this cyberspace context amidst a diffused and syncretistic religiosity. As a methodological proceeding, one has chosen a critical outline, descriptive interpretative qualitative approach, besides the bibliographical observation: site structured observation and analysis through ethnography technics, complemented with its contents transdisciplinary hermeneutics. Its this Work results show up the new religiosity constituent elements in cyberculture, interfering in this Catholic Religious Order evangelization service. These results contribute for stimulating a more conscious reflection regarding to religiosity, as well as for fomenting the right to a more clarified religion, besides subsiding optimized possible strategies for religious symbolical goods supply. / A presente dissertação apresenta uma investigação da religião virtualizada com a oferta de bens simbólico-espirituais na internet, a partir da missão dos paulino, no site da Editora Paulus. O trabalho descreve a cibercultura com seu imaginário tecnológico, identificando como se reconstrói a religiosidade católica no ciberespaço; estuda as práticas de oferta de bens simbólicos e de conteúdos religiosos através das ferramentas tecnológicas on-line no site da Paulus; assim como, busca entender as lógicas, apelos e estratégias mercadológicas do oferecimento de produtos simbólico-espirituais nesse contexto do ciberespaço, em meio a uma religiosidade difusa e sincrética. Como procedimento metodológico, optou-se por abordagem qualitativa de recorte crítico, descritivo/interpretativo, além da revisão bibliográfica: observação estruturada e análise de site através da técnica da netnografia, complementada por uma hermenêutica transdisciplinar do seu conteúdo. Os resultados demonstram os elementos constitutivos da nova religiosidade na cibercultura interferindo no serviço de evangelização dessa Ordem religiosa católica. Esses resultados contribuem para estimular uma reflexão mais consciente sobre a religiosidade, bem como para fomentar o direito à religião esclarecida; além de subsidiar possíveis estratégias otimizadas para a oferta de bens simbólicos religiosos.

Levd religion är ett växande forskningsområde inom religionsforskningen. Det svenska skolsystemet ska bygga på forskning och därför bör det enbart vara en tidsfråga innan lärare kommer bli ombedda att inkludera och undervisa elever i levd religion. Syftet med studien är, genom att utföra en bildanalys, att undersöka användandet av bilder i moderna religionsläroböcker för högstadiet, samt utifrån resultatet diskutera ifall man via lärobokens bilder som befintligt redskap kan inkludera levd religion i undervisningen samt visa på skillnader i ortodoxi och ortopraxi. Bildanalysen tog sin bas i systemteori och didaktisk potential för att undersöka två olika traditioner, en baserad ur ortodoxi och en ur ortopraxi. Resultatet visade att bildanvändningen i de undersökta läroböckerna ger exempel på religiositet baserad ur både ortodoxi och ortopraxi och att dimensioner av levd religion kunde ses i tre fjärdedelar av de analyserade bilderna. Studien hjälper aktiva och blivande lärare med att förklara levd religion och ger exempel på hur man kan introducera det i undervisningen genom bilder och därigenom höja elevernas förståelse och kunskap kring religion och religiositet. / Lived religion is a growing field of research within the study of religion. The Swedish educational system is based on scientific research and therefore it should only be a matter of time before Swedish teachers are going to be asked to include and teach pupils about lived religion. The aim of the study is, by the means of conducting an image analysis, to investigate the usage of images in modern religion textbooks aimed at secondary school, and from this result discuss if it is possible by using the images of the textbook as an existing tool to include lived religion in the education of today, as well as illustrate differences between orthodoxy and orthopraxy. The image analysis was based on systems theory and didactic potential to analyse two different traditions, one based in orthodoxy and one in orthopraxy. The result showed that the use of images in the investigated textbooks gave examples of both orthodox and orthopractic religiosity and that dimensions of lived religion could be seen in three fourths of the images analysed. The study helps practicing and studying teachers by explaining lived religion and giving examples on to how introduce it in their teaching by using images and thereby increase the pupils’ religious understanding of religion and religiosity.

La thèse propose une réflexion critique et «contextualisée» sur le rôle et la contribution des sciences humaines des religions au Québec. Nous examinons les modalités du renouveau de la mise en discours du thème religieux dans le débat public québécois de la dernière décennie (1999-2009). Dans une perspective de sociologie historique puisant aux travaux de Pierre Bourdieu, nous analysons les rapports au religieux se construisant chez les individus et réfléchissons aux enjeux sociaux et éducatifs qui y sont impliqués. Trois volets sont prévus. Nous démontrons d'abord l'existence sociale de rapports réactifs au religieux de type «sécuritaire» et «identitaire». Nous décortiquons la logique par laquelle ceux-ci se constituent après le 11 septembre 2001 et en viennent à se cristalliser, notamment avec le débat de 2007 sur les «accommodements raisonnables». Nous démontrons d'abord en quoi la prise en compte de ces rapports au religieux déplace la pratique des sciences religieuses jusque dans leur éthique puis démontrons la pertinence d'une approche éducative affirmative du religieux qui en favorise l'appropriation sur un horizon culturel et sécularisé. Nous appelons «patrimoniale» cette approche en réservant toutefois le terme aux oeuvres religieuses immatérielles (récits et discours religieux). Un deuxième volet démontre et explore un désir de «transmission» du religieux se manifestant dans la société québécoise. L'analyse porte alors sur le débat de 1999 sur la place de la religion à l'école, sur ses enjeux historiques officiels et moins officiels, et sur le type de participation qu'il suscite chez les acteurs. Ce phénomène apporte un nouvel argument en faveur d'une approche «patrimoniale». Pour autant que celle-ci s'appuie sur une pratique interprétative mise au service d'une radicale redécouverte de l'oeuvre religieuse, cette approche contribue à la continuation pratique d'un «désir de transmission» laissé en suspens après le 11 septembre. Un dernier volet définit théoriquement le projet de patrimonialisation. L'enjeu éthique de la relance du motif «patrimonial» dans le discours des SR repose sur une pratique interprétative issue des théories en sémiotique énonciative. Cette pratique interprétative redéfinit la «patrimonialisation», ce qui ouvre des volets d'expérimentation. Finalement, nous fournissons en guise de conclusion un essai de contribution patrimoniale.

Notre thèse, qui se situe dans le domaine de l'ethnologie historique, a pour objectif d'étudier les stratégies missionnaires des jésuites français auprès des Amérindiens et des Chinois au XVIIe siècle. Elle est aussi destinée à cerner les phénomènes des rencontres de cultures distinctes : impacts, chocs, interactions, intégration, transformation, acculturation et syncrétisme ; par ce moyen, elle veut contribuer aux recherches sur le christianisme dans les deux mondes, puis favoriser la compréhension des dialogues et des échanges entre la culture d'origine européenne et les cultures amérindiennes et chinoises. Cette étude commence par une présentation générale de la Compagnie de Jésus et des activités des jésuites en France pour montrer l'origine commune des deux groupes de jésuites destinés à la Nouvelle-France et à la Chine. Elle porte ensuite sur les méthodes de conversion que les missionnaires ont employées pour christianiser les Amérindiens et les Chinois. Attentive au rôle important que les autochtones ont joué dans la rencontre des cultures, elle examine également les réactions des Amérindiens et des Chinois vis-à-vis de l'expansion du christianisme. L'analyse s'appuie sur une base documentaire large et variée que nous avons construite lors de dépouillements faits au Canada, en France et en Chine. Les écrits missionnaires — Relations des jésuites et Lettres édifiantes— constituent les documents essentiels de notre corpus, complétés par des ouvrages de synthèse des missionnaires qui ont prêché en Amérique du Nord et en Chine. Il s'agit principalement, du côté de la Nouvelle France, des écrits de Gabriel Sagard, de Joseph-François Lafitau et de François-Xavier de Charlevoix. Du côté de la Chine, ce sont surtout les ouvrages d'Adrien Greslon, de Joachim Bouvet et de Louis Daniel Le Comte. Pour échapper à une histoire trop longtemps centrée sur la vision des Européens, nous avons exploité les sources d'origine chinoise : les écrits des lettrés confucianistes, des moines bouddhistes et des lettrés convertis. Summary in German and English / This thesis aims at the integration of the concept of habitus, as introduced by Pierre Bourdieu, with the concept of worldview as defined by Paul G. Hiebert develop implications for the missiological discipline and the analysis of the human condition. In a first step the concept of worldview is introduced and integrated into the anthropological discipline from within the life and work of Paul G. Hiebert. The confinement of the concept within the cognitive realm is worked out subsequently and the necessity of a complimentary concept is underlined. In a second step the concept of habitus as defined by Pierre Bourdieu is introduced and explained within his biography, research tradition and his sociological framework. In the concluding chapter a synthesis is provided to integrate habitus with worldview building upon the complimentary nature of the concepts. The cognitive bias of worldview is amended through the incorporated nature of habitus. This leads to an augmented research methodology which includes practical analysis of habitus. / Ziel dieser Masterarbeit ist es, das in der Missionswissenschaft gebräuchliche Konzept der Weltanschauung, vorgestellt von Paul G. Hiebert, durch das Konzept des Habitus, vorgestellt von Pierre Bourdieu, zu ergänzen und Schlussfolgerungen für die missiologische Disziplin und die praktische Analyse menschlicher Wirklichkeit zu ziehen. Zunächst wird das Konzept der Weltanschauung anthropologisch verortet und am Leben und Werk Paul G. Hieberts konkret dargestellt. Die kognitive Engführung des Begriffs wird dabei herausgearbeitet, die Notwendigkeit einer Ergänzung zur vollständigeren Beschreibung menschlicher Wirklichkeit herausgestellt. In einem zweiten Schritt wird Pierre Bourdieu seiner Tradition und Biographie nach eingeordnet, sein Habituskonzept eingeführt und innerhalb seiner soziologischen Konzepte erklärt. In der abschließenden Synthese wird auf die vorher ausgearbeitete Komplementarität der Konzepte aufgebaut und die kognitive Engführung von Weltanschauung durch das Habituskonzept ergänzt. Die Zusammenschau von Habitus und Weltanschauung ermöglicht eine breitere Darstellung menschlicher Wirklichkeit. This descriptive study investigates the link between religion, (institutional and private) identity (ethnic and personal) and the community (Portuguese and South African) in the context of religious and cultural pluralism. It analyses sixteen Portuguese women in Durban - nine Roman Catholics, five Protestants and two agnostic and it is executed within the framework of the theory of conditionalism or 'radical relationality', as expounded by J.S. Kruger. The religious practice, experience and identity of the participants are explored, and their social integration as well as famiIy and marital relationships (with special reference to submissiveness) are examined in the light of Catholic Feminist theology. The influence of their experiences on their religion and vice-versa, as well as the fluidity of their identities are analysed. Dis 'n groat jammerte omdat dit baie van die vreugde, die hartlikheid en die warmte van byeenkomste van die geloofsgemeenskap ontneem. Verder het dit tot gevolg dat sommige lid mate - en veral jongmense - hulle heil elders gaan soek, waar hulle behoeftes aangespreek word. Aangesien hierdie 'n studie is wat fokus op die Skriftuurlike en teologiese begronding van lofprysing en aanbidding, asook die behoeftes van jongmense, word aandag geskenk aan belangrike tendense wat 'n invloed uitoefen op hulle behoeftes, voor- en afkeure en algemene lewensuitkyk. This is, partly, due to different definitions, resulting in a variety of subjective interpretations. It deprives the faith community of the joy and warmth expected to be experienced at gatherings. It furthermore results in youth having to seek alternative pastures for their specific needs. This research focuses on the Scriptural and theological foundation of praise and worship, as well as the needs of the youth, relevant trends influencing their needs, their preferences and dislikes as well as their attitude towards life in general. Aspects such as culture and the so called Generational theories and types of spirituality will come under scrutiny. Spiritual leadership for the church in Africa is facing a crisis. While much of traditional African leadership shares the same basic values found in the Scriptures; modern manifestations of African leadership have been corrupted by various influences. This has resulted in traditional African leadership being grossly misunderstood and culturally unappreciated. Through the use of dialogue between cultures and theologies, and utilizing leadership theory as analytical tools and a frame of reference, this study looks at biblical leadership models, and aims toward a rediscovery, an appreciation, and a mature reappropriation of traditional African leadership values and practices for the African Church. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M.
