Změna nemocenského pojištění v ČR po roce 2009 - institucionální analýza / Change of health insurance in the Czech Republic after 2009 - Institucional AnalysisVondráčková, Jana January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on changes in the system of sickness insurance in the Czech Republic since 2009. Based on the analysis of the development of social security in the context of neoliberal capitalism and economic globalization, the aim of the thesis was to reflect the ideological and factual basis and the legitimacy of the institutional change in the sphere of sickness insurance in connection with adoption of Act No. 187/2006 Coll., On sickness insurance and the discovery of socio-economic consequences of these changes. The theoretical basis of this thesis has been the institutional change in the sphere of sickness and the (non) legitimacy of the policy in this sphere of public finance reforms. Other theories have included the relationship of economic and social policy that they have been closely related to the theory of social state. The social state has been the beginning of the subject of aging, globalization and the recession of economic development in the last decades. In the empirical part of the thesis, with the use of the method of institutional analysis, critical discursive analyzes and interviews, the sphere of sickness insurance was examined in connection with the connection with the adoption of Act No. 187/2006 Coll., On sickness insurance and the socio-economic implications of...

Characterisation of selected Culicoides (Diptera : Ceratopogonidae) populations in South Africa using genetic markersDebeila, Thipe Jan 20 June 2011 (has links)
Culicoides (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) are small (<3mm) blood feeding flies. These flies are biological vectors of viruses, protozoa and filarial nematodes affecting birds, humans, and other animals. Among the viruses transmitted those causing bluetongue (BT), African horse sickness (AHS) and epizootic haemorrhagic disease (EHD) are of major veterinary significance. Culicoides (Avaritia) imicola Kieffer, a proven vector of both AHS and BT viruses, is the most abundant and wide spread livestock-associated Culicoides species in South Africa. Field isolations of virus and oral susceptibility studies, however, indicated that a second Avaritia species, C. bolitinos Meiswinkel may be a potential vector of both BT virus (BTV) and AHS virus (AHSV). Differences in oral susceptibility, which are under genetic control, of populations from different geographical areas to viruses may be an indication of genetic differences between these populations, which may be the result of limited contact between these populations. A good knowledge of the distribution, spread and genetic structure of the insect vector is essential in understanding AHS or BT disease epidemiology. In the present study, an effort was made to gather field specimens of both C. imicola and C. bolitinos from different areas within their natural distribution in South Africa. The aim was to partially sequence two mitochondrial genes from these specimens and to analyse the sequence data making use of phylogenetic trees to clarify the genetic relationships between individuals or groups collected from geographically distinct sites. The two species were collected from four geographically separated areas in South Africa viz. Gauteng Province, Eastern Cape Province, Western Cape Province as well as the Free State Province. DNA was extracted from a total of 120 individual midges of the two Culicoides species using DNA extraction kits. Extracted DNA was analysed using PCR, sequencing as well as phylogenetic methods. A total of 117 mitochondrial DNA COI and 104 mitochondrial 16S ribosomal RNA Culidoides</i. sequences were analysed. DNA sequence polymorphism and phylogenetic relationships of various groups of C. imicola and C. bolitinos midges were determined. The results of the phylogenetic analysis of Culicoides populations using mitochondrial COI gene fragment showed that, at least one subpopulation of C. imicola and two distinct genotypes of C. bolitinos species do exist in South Africa, and further analysis is necessary. This study showed that COI has the potential to separate Culicoides midges based on their geography / Dissertation (MSc)--University of Pretoria, 2010. / Veterinary Tropical Diseases / unrestricted

Analýza systému nemocenského pojištění v České repblice po roce 1989 / Analysis of the health insurance system in the Czech Republic after year 1989Zubrová, Soňa January 2011 (has links)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE FAKULTA SOCIÁLNÍCH VĚD Institut sociologických studií Katedra veřejné a sociální politiky Soňa Zubrová Analysis of the health insurance system in the Czech Republic after year 1989 Abstrakt Praha 2011 Abstrakt The system of the Czech Republic health insurance stands for one of the pillars of the social security in the Czech Republic. Within last twenty years is has been changed significantly several times. The changes have been intended to contribute mainly to the reduction in the number of exploited sickness leaves, to the strengthening of responsibility of employees, employers and physicians. After 1989 the system faced many legal modifications. This thesis is focused on analysis of the health insurance system in the Czech Republic after year 1989. The theoretical resources of the thesis are human and social rights, social security and its principles. The main segment of the theoretical part of the thesis is a function of the right for social security and a description of health insurance. The exploratory part of the thesis analyses the chosen occurrences relating to the health insurance system problems and thereby it responds to questions asked in the introduction of the thesis. The research has proved a diminishing percentage of sickness leaves in connection with accepted...

Ledarskapets betydelse för medarbetarnas sjukfrånvaro : En komparativ fallstudie / Leadership importance for employee sickness absence : A comparative case studyBerggren Quintana, Clara, Consoli, Isabella January 2017 (has links)
Background: Sickness absence have long been a central and political societal problem in Sweden. One factor that has caused employee’s ill health is job strain and psychic stress which may be influenced by leadership. There are different leadership styles that managers can apply which have different effects on employee health. These are transformative and transactional leadership styles as well as democratic or relationship-oriented leadership styles and authoritarian or task-oriented leadership styles. Advantageously for employee health is leaders who apply Kaizen as a working method. Kaizen can be described as continuous improvements. Thus, leadership is significant for employees' psychosocial health in the workplace. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the difference between managers' leadership in departments with high and low sick leave. To answer the purpose, the study is based on theories of leadership styles and the Kaizen method. Method: To answer the purpose of this study, both managers and employees have given their perspective to the problem. They have participated in the survey through a qualitative and quantitative study with an iterative interaction between deductive and inductive approach. The study has been carried out using a comparative method by studying two comparable departments with reported high or low sickness absence. Conclusion: The result of this study is that the leadership differs according to the leadership styles applied and to what extent managers work according to Kaizen. Managers with different leadership also have employees with different sickness absence. Thus, manager’s leadership can be important for employees' sickness absence.

Identifying the mystical element in Soren Kierkegaard’s authorship : choice and transfigurationMakris, Georgia 11 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to determine what can be identified as the mystical element in Soren Kierkegaard’s published texts. Kierkegaard sometimes discusses mysticism on a critical tone, other times he seems to be implying that it is a necessary part of any authentically Christian life. Papers exploring this question have drawn different and conflicting conclusions. Some suggest that Kierkegaard’s spirituality focuses on asceticism and self-denial rather than mysticism, others perceive allusions to a form of a ‘mystical union’ as ever present in his texts. Some claim that in Kierkegaard’s texts there is the implication of different types of mysticism, some forms that he deems acceptable and other forms that he identifies as dangerous or even demonic. This paper proposes that the mystical element in Kierkegaard’s authorship is the presence of an itinerary that is meant to lead his readers through a process of internal transformation. This itinerary resembles those proposed by mystic authors in some ways. It includes practices that have an ascetic element and alludes to something like a resulting mystical union, for example. Kierkegaard places particular emphasis on the notion that one’s spiritual transformation must lead to action and result in the concrete world. The internal transformation has no purpose if it does not result in something like a divinely revealed task. The task is performed in the material world, but the responsibility to complete it feels absolute, as if imposed by eternity. I argue that the mystical element in Kierkegaard’s authorship is the itinerary he proposes that leads to personal transformation. I suggest that he ultimately goes further than mysticism by valuing the material world and insisting that transformed individuals must take action within it. In this sense, he remains true to his Lutheran upbringing and the idea of inner-worldly asceticism.

The church's ministry to the sick in a black South African contextManala, Matsobane Jacob 30 November 2006 (has links)
The high value of good health in Africa and the serious threat to life posed by diseases that plague the African continent including South Africa, are highlighted in this thesis. The question whether the church in South Africa as a stakeholder in human development in Africa, contributes meaningfully to the continental and national vision of "a better life for all" or "good health for all" is posed and an attempt made to answer it. Operating from the Western world-view, the Hervormde Kerk in Suidelike Afrika (HKSA) is found not to be contributing meaningfully to the realisation of the African vision of "good health for all".
Resistance to cure and healing by means of Western medicine and pastoral care and counselling as well as a lack of spiritual and numerical growth in the HKSA are identified as consequences of the imposition of exclusively Western Christian theological formulations on the African church.
The assumption underlying this thesis is that ministry to the sick in the African mainline churches should recognise the role played by supernatural forces in the belief systems of Africans regarding health and illness. This assumption is based on the fact that theological formulations are socially influenced and constructed.
Following Zerfass' methodological model, this research examines the principles underlying the ministry to the sick in the HKSA and the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika (NHKA); highlights the core African beliefs with regard to the health and illness discourse and practice; points out the shortcomings of the current ministry to the sick in the HKSA.
The findings of the investigation into the theological tradition and the results of the exploration of the literature on the African context are brought into the critical dialogue. On the strength of findings of the critical dialogue between the church's traditional theological theory and the results of the exploration of the literature on the African context, the church's healing ministry is recommended as a necessary part of the church's official task in a black South African context. / Practical Theology / D.Th.
