I denna studie analyseras bilder i svenska religionsläroböcker för högstadiet. Syftet med denna studie är att granska och analysera hur ikoniska och anikoniska gudabilder inom hinduismen lyfts fram genom bilder i olika läroböcker sedan läroplanen (Lgr11) infördes. Analysen avser att undersöka om bilderna representerar ett inhemskt perspektiv (det vill säga hinduisk ikonografi) eller exempelvis ett orientalistiskt perspektiv. Resultaten jämförs sedan med hur styrdokumentens skrivningar uttrycker att ikoniska och anikoniska gudabilder inom hinduismen ska lyftas i religionsundervisning. Studien innefattar semiotiska bildanalyser och analys av tillhörande texter samt analys av styrdokument. Resultaten visar att bilderna i läroböckerna står i relation till ett inhemskt perspektiv, men att tillhörande texter och förklaringar till stor del står i relation till orientalistiska perspektiv. Resultaten visar att bilderna överensstämmer med styrdokumentens skrivningar men att det ändå är en brist i information och fakta. Det kan påverka elevernas förmåga att förstå hinduismen utifrån ett inhemskt perspektiv och istället fortsätta influeras av det orientalistiska perspektivet. / Images in swedish schoolbooks for religions studies in secondary school will be analysed in this essay. The purpose of the essay is to review and analyse how iconic and aniconic images of gods within hinduism are presented in images from textbooks that are produced since the new swedish policy documents (Lgr11) were introduced. The intent with the analyse is to find if the images represent a domestic perspective (hindu iconography) or an oriental perspective. The results from that will then be compared to how the swedish school policies about religion education present that iconic and aniconic images of gods within hinduism should be mediated in religious studies. The essay includes semiotic analyses of the images and analyse of the belonging texts, also an analyse of the policy documents. The results shows that the images in the schoolbooks meet the hindu iconography, while the text and explanations that comes with the images have an oriental perspective. The result also shows that the images meet the school documents guidelines but there is a lack of information and facts. This may affect the students ability to properly understand what hindusim is from a domestic perspective and will instead continue the be influenced with an oriental perspective.

Biochemistry is usually the last taught discipline of chemistry. In the Czech Republic, grammar school students study biochemistry during the third or fourth grade. This can sometimes cause problems because there is often little time left for biochemistry when compared to other chemical disciplines. The content of the biochemical curriculum is often limited only to memorization of the most important facts and there is no time enough to point out the important relationships of biochemistry to everyday life. In the last year of study, many students have already decided whether or not to study chemistry in the future and it is then difficult to find some topics that would attract the attention of those who do not want to continue studying chemistry. This thesis is focused on the solving this situation. The first part gives an overview on the theoretical background, which forms the framework for the following parts - Analysis of selected textbooks, which was done to map the current state of teaching biochemistry in Czech schools, and Creation of new didactic materials that can complement current textbooks and help teachers explain the basics of biochemistry more clearly and in the context of contemporary everyday life. Efterfrågan på matematiskt kunnande ökar i samhället. Algebraiskt kunnande gynnar lärandet inom andra delar av matematiken. Algebra innebär att upptäcka matematiska strukturer och kunna generalisera dessa. Mönsterundervisning ses som en säker väg till algebra. Samtidigt visar forskning kopplat till upprepade mönster att de flesta elever inte kan generalisera upprepade mönster innan de börjar skolan, och menar att det finns ett behov av en strukturerad undervisning kopplad till upprepade mönster. Stora delar av matematikundervisningen i Sverige utgår från matematikböcker. Därför syftar denna studie till att beskriva de upprepade mönster elever kan möta genom ett läromedel och därigenom dra slutsatser om vad elever får för möjlighet att lära om algebra genom dessa. Följande frågor besvaras: Vilken variation och omfattning av mönster och mönsteruppgifter får eleverna möta i matematikböckerna kopplade till upprepade mönster? och Vilken ytterligare vägledning ger lärarhandledningen för att elever ska utveckla förståelse av upprepade mönster?  Den teoretiska ansats studien utgår från är tidigare forskning om undervisning i växande mönster. Studien är avgränsad till matematikböcker för år 1–3. Urvalet av material innefattar 6 matematikböcker i serien Koll på matematik samt tillhörande lärarhandledningsböcker. Samtliga böcker har analyserats för att finna upprepade mönster. Dessa mönster sorterades efter kategorierna riktning, uttrycksformer, mönsterstruktur och uppgifts typ. Därefter genomsöktes lärarhandledningen efter förslag på undervisning kopplade till de upprepade mönstren som fanns i elevböckerna. Resultatet visar att det främst finns en variation på uttrycksformer och mönsterstrukturer i matematikböckerna och en mindre variation på riktning. Uppgiftstyperna varierar i viss mån. Vidare visar resultatet att lärarhandledningen tillförde flera kommunikativa aspekter kopplade till mönster och även fler metoder vilket inte framgick i elevböckerna. / The request for mathematical knowledge is increasing in today's society. Algebraic knowledge favour further learning in other areas of mathematics. Algebra involves finding mathematical structures and being able to generalize these. Teaching about patterns are described as a safe path to learn algebra. At the same time, research on repeating patterns proves that most children cannot make generalization about repeating patterns before they enter school, therefore structured teaching connected to repeated patterns is needed. Teaching in Sweden is mostly based on mathematics schoolbooks. Therefore, the aim for this study is to describe the repeated patterns students can encounter through teaching material and thereby draw conclusions about which opportunities students have to learn about algebra through these. The questions answered in this study are: Which variation and amount of patterns and pattern tasks do the pupils get exposed to in the mathematics books connected to repeating patterns? and What does the additional teacher guides provide with for pupils understanding of repeating patterns? The study is limited to mathematics schoolbooks for schoolyear 1-3.  The theoretical approach in this study is based on previous research on teaching methods connected to repeated patterns. The selection of mathematics books includes 6 mathematics books from the teaching materials Koll på matematik. All pages have been scanned to find repeated patterns. The repeating patterns were categorized by the pattern's direction, different expression of pattern, structure, and task type. Afterwards, the teacher's manual was searched for teaching suggestions linked to the repeating patterns that were found in the student books. The result indicates that the variation is primally connected to different expression of pattern and pattern’s structure in the mathematics books and that there are minimal variation of the patterns direction. The task types vary to a certain extent. Furthermore, the result indicate that the teacher's guide contributes with several communicative aspects connected to repeating patterns and more methods that were not apparent in the student books.

Cystic fibrosis and diseases associated with trinucleotide expansions are serious hereditary disease that serves in my Diploma thesis as role models suitable for teaching interesting topics of human genetics at secondary schools. By using appropriate methods of prenatal genetic treatment, it is possible to make a diagnosis of the developing fetus and to determine a corresponding prognosis in next prenatal and postnatal development in families at risk. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the content analysis of biology schoolbooks for secondary schools and to the preparation of a prototype class of genetics at secondary schools. The aim of the content analysis of biology schoolbooks for secondary schools is the evaluation of various textbooks according to several preselected criteria. The aim of the presentation of the proposed prototype class was to determine, based on the responses obtained from the questionnaires, whether pupils of higher grades of secondary schools are interested in the subject matter of genetics, to find out what engaged their attention the most during the lessons or what they did not understand and what they considered as difficult. Teachers, while teaching, are facing to some sections of schoolwork which make serious problems to understand. The main task of this diploma thesis is solving the issue of organic chemistry on the field of Gymnasium. The pedagogical attitude was chosen for the selection of problem parts. New educational materials were purposed on the basis of gathered information and thanks to the research the efficiency of teaching the organic chemistry and its problematic parts should augment the undestanding of the problematic parts as well as the bettering of education. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis looks into the methodology of pedagogical research, curriculum documents, didactic methods and forms and literature exploration of defined problem parts of textbooks of organic chemisty for the high schools. Consequently, the practical part exposes results of the performed pedagogical research and the analyse of schoolbooks.
