Studentų socialinis aktyvumas: Vilniaus pedagoginio universiteto atvejis / Student Social Activity:a case of Pedagogical University

Jusevičiūtė, Genė 16 August 2007 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / This paper analyses social activity of students in Vilnius Pedagogical University, discusses influence of student activity on socialization processes underlining values and social roles. In order to learn about peculiarities of social activity of students, a qualitative research was made by selecting 20 respondents involved in the first-stage, bachelor, studies at Vilnius Pedagogical University: 1st and 3rd year students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and the Faculty of Social Sciences. It is assumed that such sampling allows to outline dominating opinions. The research revealed that not all students of Vilnius Pedagogical University are socially active. Main difficulties encountered by students are problems related to combination of work and studies (because most of the students work), as well as the lack of funds for various activities. A shared aim of youth organisations is to foster creative, free individuals by creating conditions for self-growth and its encouragement. A socially active student shapes values of humanity and is preparing to become a future teacher and a citizen of our democratic society. The research showed that students are more concerned about their health, subsistence, work, tough financial situation; it shows lack of interest in the world, in public issues and in problems of the higher education establishment. The youth, especially students, plays an important role in the current... [to full text]

Fizinę negalią turinčių suaugusių asmenų psichologinių reakcijų į savo negalią sąsajos su socialiniu aktyvumu / Connections between Physically Disabled Adults' psychological Reactions to Disability and social Activities

Jokūbpreikšas, Lauras 29 January 2013 (has links)
Fizinę negalią turinčių suaugusių asmenų socialiniam aktyvumui analizuoti, buvo naudojamas „Work and Social Adjustment Scale“ (WSAS) – „Darbo ir socialinio aktyvumo“ skalė. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The aim of the study was to assess connections between physically disabled adults' reactions to disability and social activities. The study included only those people who have physical disabilities. Respondents were asked to fill in the questionnaire online: www.manoapklausa.lt/apklausa/339854072/. The link was sent to www.draugija.lt and VDU students with physical disabilities; each disabled person was also given the questions individually . The survey was on for about 10 weeks. We used two questionnaires: "Reactions to Impairment and Disability Inventory". “ Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS)” The research results have shown that indicators of descending social activity in the group of men are associated with such reactions as shock, anxiety, depression, internalized anger, and externalized hostility reactions. Indicators of descending social activity in the womens' group are more associated with shock, anxiety, depression, internalized anger, externalized hostility reactions. However, increasing rates of social activity are associated with acknowledgement response more expressed. The results show that depression and externalized hostility reactions predict reduced social activity. It also predicts the work of social activity: if people with physical disabilities have a job, then they will be more representative of social activity. Other social demographic characteristics (gender, age, education, marital status, willingness / unwillingness to talk with a psychologist... [to full text]

Emotions, Social Activity and Neuroscience: The Cultural-Historical Formation of Emotion

Burkitt, Ian 24 November 2018 (has links)
Yes / This article challenges the use of cognitive-behavioural psychological models underpinning many of the dominant and popular accounts of emotion in the neurosciences. Acknowledging that neurobiology is important for any understanding of emotion, an alternative model of neuropsychology is sought in the work of theorists of the cultural-historical school, particularly A. N. Leontyev and A. R. Luria. The importance of their work in stressing the key role of intentional social activity, culture, and language in the formation of human neuropsychological functions is developed into a theory of emotions that can provide an alternative for emotion studies. In this theory, activity, culture, history, and individual ontogeny play the defining role in structuring the neurobiological systems that underlie emotions, as opposed to the evolution of behaviours that are hard-wired into the brain and function as automatic responses. Instead, it is understood that there is a continuum between evolution and human social and cultural development.

A Cultural Psychosocial Model for Depression in Elder Care Institutions: The Roles of Socially Supportive Activity and Self-Transcendence

Hsu, Ya-Chuan January 2009 (has links)
This study (1) developed and tested the Socially Supportive Activity Inventory (SSAI) to assess the quantity and quality of socially supportive activities that institutionalized elders receive, and (2) tested the predicted relationships among the variables proposed in the hypothesized causal model, socially supportive activities, self-transcendence, and depression in institutionalized elders. For pilot testing psychometric properties of the SSAI, the content validity was 0.96. Test-retest reliability from a sample of 10 participants yielded stability coefficients of 0.76-1.00, indicating the SSAI is a highly relevant and reliable culturally-based instrument. In the main study, a total of 196 participants were recruited from eight elder care institutions. The results showed an elder's expectation of filial responsibility did not have a moderating effect on the willingness to be/remain institutionalized and on perceived stress. An elder's acceptance of institutionalization was significantly related to perceived stress and indirectly affected depression. The mediator effect of self-transcendence on the relationship between perceived stress and depression was supported. The participation of elderly residents in socially supportive activities demonstrated a moderating effect on the strength of a negative relationship between perceived stress and self-transcendence. In the modified model, an elder's willingness to remain institutionalized, perceived stress, and self-transcendence were significant predictors of depression, accounting for 54.7% of variance. Self-transcendence was the best predictor of depression. These findings contribute to an awareness of importance of culture factors as potential stressors. These findings also help to explain how the psychosocial mechanism of participation in socially supportive activities and the perception of self-transcendence act on depressed elders.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Shirley Adriana de Sousa Silva.pdf: 2256356 bytes, checksum: c0d6536a1f69970ff2a88e4fec70cfd8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-03-22 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This research investigates how the emphasis in multiliteracies, from Social Activity, fosters the non-encapsulated learning of concepts worked in the school context, establishing a relation between learning in school and acting in society. In order to reach this objective, the data were collected during the workshops of "DIGIT-M-ED hyperconnecting Brazil: transforming teaching-learning" project, hereafter "DIGIT-M-ED hyperconnecting”, an Educators´ Education Project, involving teachers, researchers, directors, coordinators and students - in the role of educators - from public and private schools, private universities and members of the Language Activities in the School Context Group (LACE) , from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). The data produced refer to the meetings held in April, May and June and aim to understand: a) how teaching was organized to deal with the non-encapsulated learning of the concept in focus, as well as the importance of this organization. b) how the pedagogy of multiliteracies contributes to the expansion and transformation of the concept in focus, in specific contexts, from social activity. The guiding questions for this investigation were: (I) how did the teaching-learning organization for the non-encapsulated learning of the concept take place? How important is this organization for the concept appropriation? (II) How does the pedagogy of multiliteracies, from social activity, contribute to the advancement of the understanding of the concept in focus, enabling a non-encapsulated appropriation? This research is inserted in the Critical Applied Linguistics field (LAC), following the line of researchers such as Moita Lopes (2006) and Fabrício (2006) who defend the view of LA "as a problematizing practice". It is based on the Socio-Historical-Cultural Activity Theory, as in the discussions of Vygotsky, ([1934] 2000) and Engeström (2011), as well as in the discussions that advance both, developed in the Language Activities in the School Context Research Group -LACE. The theoretical-methodological framework is supported by the Critical Collaborative Research (PCCol), based on Magalhães (1994/2007, 1998a, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2016), Magalhães and Liberali (2007) and Liberali (2011, 2012, 2016) ),which investigates the transformation of ways of acting in education school contexts. The data produced through video-recordings, planning and e-mail exchanges were transcribed, described and analyzed based on the dialogic-enunciative perspective of language. The results showed that multimodally materialized argumentation related to social activity amplifies living in a way that it makes it possible for the individual to establish a link between the inside and outside of school, in a theoretical-practical relationship. Throughout the work process - interventional, critical and collaborative - it was possible to understand the construction of the object of the activity in focus –the learning of concepts - as an established process that is processed in socio-history, through critical-collaborative relationships among all participants. Moreover, this work made it possible to focus on the subject making history in a critical-creative collaborative relationship in dialectical connection with the social world, as the principles of Marxist dialectical materialism advocate, Vygotsky's veins. This perception provided the understanding of human development from its social and cultural reality not determined by "nature" and / or displaced from its context regulated by teacher stimuli and / or textbook commands / Esta pesquisa investiga como a ênfase em multiletramentos, a partir de Atividade Social, possibilita a aprendizagem não encapsulada de conceitos trabalhados no contexto escolar, estabelecendo uma relação entre a aprendizagem na escola e o agir na sociedade. Qual a importância dessa organização à apropriação do conceito?

Asmenų, turinčių negalę, socialinio aktyvumo ir socialinio įvaizdžio problemos / Problems of social activity and social image of disabled people

Masedonskienė, Aušra 24 September 2008 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The work is dedicated to the research of the problems of social activity and social image of disabled people. The tasks of the research – to analyse the definition of disability and the historical development of the help provided to the disabled from the clinical-corrective to the social-interactive model; to study the legal grounds of the integration of the disabled into the society; to analyse the preconditions for the participation of the disabled people in the social life with equal rights; to examine the level of preparation of social workers to valorise the social roles of the disabled people; to ascertain the problems of the disabled social activity in different spheres of life and show how they work in the formation of their social image from the point of view of the society. Basing on these tasks 200 disabled people and 25 social workers were interviewed whose ages ranged from 21 to 89. The study shows that the disabled evaluated negatively the possibilities of self-expression in different spheres of life and hardly participate in the social and public life, and that their rights are still abused. The self-depreciation attached to the disabled by the society is still very strong though they are predisposed to be consumers. The results of the study show that the relationships between social workers and disabled people are not equal, a disabled person is seen as an entirety of disorders and his possibilities in the life of the society are evaluated pessimistically... Vyresnio amžiaus žmonių subjektyviai vertinamos sveikatos sąsajos su dvasingumu, laimingumu bei socialiniu aktyvumu / The interface between the elderly‘s subjective valued health and spirituality, happiness and social activity

Mockutė, Simona 01 February 2012 (has links)
Subjektyviai vertinama sveikata matuota sudaryta keturių klausimų skale paimta iš A. Goštauto (1999 m.) mokomosios medžiagos sveikatos psichologijos kursui. Dvasingumas tirtas trumpa plataus profilio religingumo/dvasingumo matavimo skale sudaryta 1999 metais bendradarbiaujant Fetzer istitutui su Nacionaliniu senėjimo instituto darbo grupe. Respondentų laimingumas apskaičiuotas Subjektyvaus laimingumo skale, sukurta S. Lyubomirsky 1999 m. Socialinis aktyvumas matuotas naudojant modifikuotus klausimus sudarytus 2008 m. doc. dr. Loretos Gustainienės ir Vilijos Banevičienės. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad subjektyviai vertinamai sveikatai įtakos turi amžius, išsilavinimas, darbinė veikla ir gyvenamoji vieta. Dvasingumas...
