“Vart kommer du ifrån?” : En kvalitativ studie om sociala strukturer och nationella identitetsprocesser hos individer med rötter från forna Jugoslavien uppvuxna i Sverige / ” Where are you from?”  : A qualitative study on social structures and national identity processes in individuals with roots from former Yugoslavia raised in Sweden

Dakaj, Egzona January 2024 (has links)
This study examines national identity formation processes among individuals with foreign backgrounds, particularly those from former Yugoslavia who are raised in Sweden. It takes its starting point in the complex phenomenon of identity formation and belonging, drawing inspiration from the question "Where are you from?".  Previous research shows that individuals with foreign backgrounds experience a sense of duality in their identities as they navigate between their parents' culture and the culture in the new country. The study aims to understand the social structures and relationships that shape these individuals’ national identity processes. By exploring their experiences of national belonging and identifying the social structures and social relations that influence their identity construction, the study hopes to contribute to a better understanding of the complex dynamics surrounding national identity formation for this specific group. To achieve the purpose of the study, a qualitative approach was employed, involving six semi-structured interviews with individuals aged between 20 and 35, whose parents immigrated from former Yugoslavia and raised them in Sweden. The theoretical framework for this study is based on ethnic identity and national identity as a form of ethnic identity. The results shows that social structures and social relationships influence individuals experiences of national belonging and identity formation. Individuals shape their national identity based on a "we" and "them" structure. Another important conclusion is that societal structures and norms can affect an individual's experience of her national identity. Institutions such as schools, workplaces, and the "Swedish family " can be seen as important social structures that influence the individual. Furthermore, place plays a central role in shaping national identity.

Experimentelle Untersuchungen zum sozialen Austausch

Pfau, Stefan 26 August 2016 (has links) (PDF)

Přestávky ve škole (5. třída) / School Recess (year 5)

Buryová, Markéta January 2014 (has links)
The thesis titled School Recess (5th grade) describes the processes and how children spend their free time between lessons. This thesis aims for a global view on the whole issue of recess and the concept of the structure of the school day. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and a research. The theoretical part summarizes all available and relevant facts regarding the topic. It deals with the characteristics of the school environment, summarizes the biological and psychological development of children in the age group, and defines the function of breaks. The practical part of the thesis presents results of the research conducted through the research methods of observation and questionnaire. The results are interpreted and then descriptively assessed in accordance with the theoretical part. The last part of the research work is a comparison of the thesis' results with the same theme thesis focused on younger age groups. Finally, the conclusion of this thesis is that break time is necessary for children, and a significant time for relaxation, communication and interaction, play, socialization, and meeting the needs of bodily functions.

Modes d'insertion socio-spatiale du bâti agricole périurbain et sociabilités locales : le cas des "hameaux agricoles" dans l'Hérault / Socio-spatial insertion modes of periurban farm building and local sociabilities : case studies of "agricultural hamlets" in the Hérault (France)

Nougarèdes, Brigitte 24 September 2013 (has links)
This thesis highlights certain aspects of the coexistence between agriculture and residential uses in the periurban via a sociologic study of new ways of managing wine growers' farm buildings introduced in the department of the Hérault (France). Named “agricultural hamlets”, these innovations take into account legal requirements related to sustainable planning introduced by the SRU law (2000), the implications for farmers' dwellings and issues of the coexistence between agriculture and residential uses. These new ways of managing farm buildings reveal the emergence of a public management of this issue. The thesis is organized around two principal axes which analyze: 1) the political conceptions of the coexistence between agriculture and residential uses which result in the varied interpretation of the SRU law and in the development of new management of farm building, 2) the real-life experience of “living together” as experienced by farmers and residents of the periurban villages concerned by these projects. The analysis of the political conceptions of coexistence reveals three ideal types of “living together”. The confrontation of political conceptions with the reality of social dynamics brings to light unexpected problems of social equity. The thesis concludes with the presentation of the numerous perspectives of research and action on the sustainable management of farm building.

"- It was a real boost to start here." : A qualitative study on the importance of social relations in a labor market department in Värmland.

Eriksson, Rebecka January 2017 (has links)

Anthropologie du conflit en Guadeloupe : la construction de sujets périphériques / Anthropology of conflict in Guadeloupe (French West Indies) : construction of peripherals subjects

N'Garoné, Rémadjie 22 September 2014 (has links)
This research focuses on the dynamics of fusion and dispersion throughout Guadeloupean social and cultural groups. The unresolved conflict inherited from slavery and colonization has become latent and underlies all kinds of social relationships. This conflict, which is at the origin of Guadeloupean society and culture, now encompasses dynamic dispersion. It is therefore a matter of diverse conflicting forms unfolding within the economic, social, cultural and political fields that emerge through the cultural fabric. This conflict, originally between the dominated and the dominant or oneself and the other, has been incorporated into the culture, and is shaped and transmitted by its bias. The study of representations and practices related to consummation, perspectives of social change, collective memory and hierarchical relationships at work, captures the reproduction and transmission of certain interpretations of reality, patterns of behavior and ways of relating to each other. This conflict is left with now opposing value systems, cultural and identity references, paradigms of thought and even figures as the real protagonists disappeared at the end of colonization, in fact, these are contradictory internal and transverse forces within this society. Since the politico-cultural assimilation that took place in France with the law of departmentalization of 1946, the boundaries between oneself and the other have become partially blurred, reinforcing feelings of déréalisation and the threat of the extinction of the collective. The dynamics of the unification of the socio-cultural body then occurs in adversity, in a power struggle relationship with another. This phenomenon leads to forms of re-centering of identity and attempts to evict the other in oneself. The dominant figure is thus projected outside itself. This recurring schematic is particularly highlighted in the notions of pwofitasyon, of mass and neg identities resulting in attempts to produce cultural authenticity and the appropriation of power. It is therefore also a matter of studying the parameters within which individual and collective subjects are constructed, identities produced and their relationships, and how these subjects are created with diversity to construct an existence of oneself. In such a context, the ongoing management of this conflict is manifested by the fluidity of positions, porous references and multiple allegiances and cultural tools that give shape to the syncretic process. Thus, this transversal and global conflict resulted in the emergence of peripheral subjects, whose existence is determined by the imbalance in the relationship with the other. And because these subjects have included a part of the other, they only exist within this conflicting relationship, their quest for identity consists not just of positioning oneself at the margin of the other, but also at the margin of themselves.

A critique of material recycling process as critical parts of modern categories

Lacerda, Leonardo Mamede de 11 March 2015 (has links)
In the intent of contributing to the discussion regarding naturalization and autonomization of social processes, this dissertation attempts to analyze recycling, especially recycling of aluminum cans, from the perspective of the capital reproduction crisis. The criticism of the naturalization consciousness socially necessary to allow the replenishment of the mercantile production, is an insufficiency this research aims to emphasize. In this sense, the goal of this paper is to attempt disclosing how modern consciousness, therefore fetishist, relates to theories and practices involving recycling, consolidated by the so called environmental awareness, and ultimately for the positive affirmation of the work category, hiding its crisis, and as a result, replacing it, in ever deeper levels of quotidian life. This way, the analysis of the recycling would help us to reflect on how an activity performed by almost every level of society, and that many times is viewed as a practice above criticism, and that is able to replenish, in an important way, categories of Capital. To do so, we tried to analyze the critical elements of attaining financial capital within a large recycler of aluminum and the internal relations in a cooperative of waste pickers, both in Pindamonhangaba-SP, but not only. The data collected and analyzes try to contribute, ultimately, to the questioning of a given reason that presents itself as an alternative to the crisis of work: entrepreneurship. This way, this research also attempted to analyze the institutionalization of the social entrepreneurship form, that masks the logic of the fictionalization of social relations, fiction that enables an alleged recycling of the productive capital.

[en] THE STATE OF AFFAIRS IN BRAZIL: THREE DISORDERLINESS DEPICTIONS IN THE 16TH AND 17TH CENTURIES / [pt] O ESTADO DE COISAS NO BRASIL: TRÊS IMAGENS DA DESORDEM NOS SÉCULOS XVI E XVII

MARCIA DE PAIVA 10 May 2006 (has links)
[en] Three depictions have epitomized Brazil - then a portuguese colony - as a state of permanent disorderliness. These pictures permeated the 15th and 17th centuries´ texts, notedly the Jesuit´s reports, The State of the Affairs in Brazil, and are related to the intertwining of different cultures and the settings of the colonial enterprise. They are: the living habits of the natives, miscegenation and the Sertão (Backlands). They represent facing an unfamiliar culture, the social relations between different people and a vast unconquered space. Those were the elements that created the idea of the Portuguese America as a state of general disorderlines

The discussion approaches historical context, social, and economic theory that drives changes which happened in educational process in Brazil from the colonial period to the 1988 constitution and the 1996 Education Law (LDB). We propose to discuss the relationship of labor and education and how they are to organize constituted social relations. We also propose to debate how Out-of-School experience interferes in formal education.
