[pt] Corpo em ruínas: a escrita entre arquivos e o testemunho da literatura. A tese busca investigar o lugar instável da literatura do século XX através de reflexões no entorno de arquivos literários ou através de escritas que exploram o arquivo, assim como documentos, testemunhos e outros vestígios do tempo tomados como artifícios de construção textual, tendo como propósito delinear e problematizar a presença e a ascensão do arquivo na literatura do último século, propondo, por fim, que tal presença se constituirá justamente através de um ambiente literário esboçado ainda em meados do século XIX e aprofundado ao correr do século XX, em direção ao nosso século, ambiente este em que se poderá apontar, diante da falência dos modelos estanques da literatura da Modernidade, a necessidade intrínseca de se buscar, através da escrita literária, um lugar outro para a literatura, através do gesto e do esforço da escrita, trilhando-se, para tal propósito, em três conceitos, mito, melancolia e impropriedade, e um quarto, a utopia, tomada a partir da noção de não-lugar. Para tais objetivos, a pesquisa atravessa por diferentes abordagens os acervos de arquivo e as obras literárias de Fernando Pessoa, de W.G. Sebald e de Pedro Nava, além de obras de Valêncio Xavier, entre outros autores. Como temáticas complementares, a tese encontra a filologia e a crítica textual, a memória e o memorialismo, a escrita de testemunho e a literatura do trauma, a crise da representação e o desvio do realismo ao índice afetivo. / [en] Body in ruins: writing among archives and the testimony of literature. The thesis investigates the unstable place of twentieth-century literature through reflections on literature archives or through writings that explore archives, as well as documents, testimonies and other vestiges of time taken as devices for textual compositions, with the purpose of outlining and discussing the presence and the rise of the archive in the literature of the last century, proposing, finally, that such presence will be constituted precisely through a literary environment established in the mid-nineteenth century and deepened in the course of the twentieth century, toward ours, such an environment in which one may point out, before the failure of stationary models of modern literature, the intrinsic necessity of searching, through literary writing, a other place for literature, through the gesture and the effort of writing, following, for such purpose, three concepts, myth, melancholy and impropriety, and a fourth one, utopia, seen from the perspective of non-place. For these objectives, the research goes through, by different approaches, the archive collections and literary works of Fernando Pessoa, W.G. Sebald and Pedro Nava, and works of Valêncio Xavier, among other writers. As complementary topics, the thesis finds philology and textual criticism, memory and memorialism, testimony writing and the literature of trauma, the crisis of representation and a deviation of realism towards an affective index.

[pt] O Deus de Jesus Cristo nos convoca sempre a optar pelas vítimas deste mundo. À luz da experiência vivenciada, é uma decisão responsável refletir a Compassividade e a Misericórdia de Deus para com as vítimas da história que, pondo em jogo de forma engajada toda a vida, permite assumir a carga da realidade, carregá-la e encarregar-se de sua transformação libertadora. Significa que fazer teologia a partir de testemunhas enriquece e aprofunda a teologia de textos. Portanto, torna-se relevante crer para entender, bem como entender para crer. Esta Tese de Doutorado, cujo tema versa A Compassividade e a Misericórdia de Deus. Uma dimensão ético-místico-profética da Teologia de Jon Sobrino, concentra-se na esperança das vítimas e na promessa de resgatá-las como chave de leitura hermenêutica teológica. Reconhecemos e afirmamos que na Teologia de Jon Sobrino existe uma urgente necessidade do zelo teológico centrado no Mistério da presença misericordiosa de Deus na história. Neste sentido, amplia-se o olhar para os novos rostos de vítimas ao redor do mundo. / [en] The God of Jesus Christ always calls us to stand for the victims of this world. In light of the empirical experience, it is a responsible decision to mirror God’s Compassion and Mercy towards the victims of history, which, in an engagingly life, allows us to take on the burden of reality, carry it and take charge of its liberating transformation. This means, making theology from witnesses enriches and deepens the theology of texts. Therefore, it becomes relevant to believe in order to understand, as well as to understand in order to believe. This Doctoral Thesis, God s Compassion and Mercy. An ethical-mystic-prophetic dimension of Jon Sobrino s Theology focuses on their hope and the promise to rescue them as a key to theological hermeneutic reading. We recognize and affirm that in Jon Sobrino s theology there is an urgent need for theological zeal centred in the mystery of the merciful presence of God in history. In this sense, it broadens his gaze to the new faces of victims around the world.

[pt] O tema do testemunho cristão é o foco principal deste trabalho. Segundo Salvador Pié-Ninot, na sua Teologia Fundamental, o testemunho se apresenta como a nova via empírica, isto é, o novo caminho que, através da vida cotidiana da Igreja com suas experiências diversas, por vezes até paradoxais, se apresenta como motivo coerente e plausível para se crer. Afinal, o testemunho é como que uma condição primeira necessária à credibilidade da fé. Isso é importante na tarefa apologético-dialogal da Teologia Fundamental. Dentro desta, na parte da Eclesiologia Fundamental, o testemunho é tido como elemento-chave de credibilidade na Igreja e passa a ser conhecido como via testimonii, por ser o caminho mais enfático, notório e coerente para a evangelização. A perspectiva do testemunho que, segundo Pié-Ninot é sempre teológico, dá-se no testemunho eclesial como mistério envolto em paradoxo. O testemunho cristão conduz à tarefa apologética, facilitando o diálogo na Igreja, quer pessoal (pela oração a Deus e Liturgia), quer com os irmãos (diálogo ecumênico e inter-religioso); e na diaconia do serviço de amor ao próximo. / [en] The theme of Christian testimony is the main focus of this work. According to Salvador Pié-Ninot on his Fundamental Theology, testimony is presented as the new empirical way. It means a new way in which the daily life of the Church with its various experiences, sometimes even paradoxical ones, presents itself as a coherent and plausible reason to believe. After all, testimony is a first condition required to the credibility of the faith. It is important in the apologetic-dialogical task of Fundamental Theology. Within this, in the part of Fundamental Ecclesiology, testimony is considered as a key element of Church s credibility. It is known as via testimonii, because it is the most emphatic, notorious and coherent way for evangelization. In the perspective of testimony, according to Pié-Ninot, testimony is always theological; it is an ecclesial testimony like a mystery wrapped in paradox. Thus, Christian s testimony drives us to an apologetic task, making Church s dialogue easy. It can be personal dialogue (through prayer to God and in the Liturgy) or with the brothers (in an Ecumenical Dialogue or an Interreligious one). It can also be in a perspective of diakonia in the service of love to our brothers.

Adota-se para análise o relato Diário de um detento: o livro, do ex-presidiário Jocenir, uma referência capital da Literatura de Cárcere, que será analisada e cotejada com duas outras narrativas fundamentais (O que é isso, companheiro, de Fernando Gabeira, e É isto um homem?, de Primo Levi), apontando-se semelhanças e diferenças entre os três registros / This paper aims to discuss the recognition of Prison Literature as a part of the Testimonial Literature genre. To explore the issue, this work takes a brief look into the connection between memorial and prison, taking the notions of Nancy Fraser, Axel Honneth and CharlesTaylor into account; as well as literary critics and historians, who recognize the testimonial narrative as an essential historiographical record. The text under investigation is the story of Diário de um detento: o livro (2001) by the ex-convict Jocenir, a crucial reference to Prison Literature in Brazil, which has been analyzed and collated with two other fundamental narratives: O que é isso, companheiro, by Fernando Gabeira and É isto um homem?, by Primo Levi, pointing out similarities and differences between the three records
