Mluvnická kategorie času v učebnicích češtiny pro neslyšící žáky a pro cizince / Grammatical Category of Time in Czech Language Textbooks for Deaf Pupils and for Foreigners

Levorová, Eva January 2013 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the way the grammatical category of time is presented in chosen textbooks of the Czech language for deaf and for foreigners. A small questionnaire survey, establishing which textbooks the teachers actually use in teaching Czech for deaf, whether they work also with textbooks for foreigners and what other materials they possibly use, is included. All the textbooks mentioned in the questionnaires are later analysed from the view of their presentation of the grammatical category of time, separately those for deaf and those for foreigners. In the second ones, inspiration for teaching deaf is being traced. At the end of the work there is an author's draft chapter of a textbook for deaf dealing with a part of the issue of verbs and times. The draft text contains an explanation and few exercises and concentrates on problematic phenomena.

Pedagog Josef Soukup / Pedagogue Josef Soukup

Bandasová, Monika January 2013 (has links)
The theme of my thesis is the patriotic pedagogue Josef Věnceslav Soukup (1819-1882) whose life was full of feverish activity in the educational system. Moreover he was a prolific author of textbooks (one of his famous is The Technological Natural History) and musical works - we can mention his Wreath of fine songs which includes the song Wayfarer that is known for today. In music he paid attention to carols and Christmas songs and plays as well (the most famous is The Young Shephers of Bethlehem). J. V. Soukup excelled in almost every field, not only in pedagogy and music but also in drawing (he even taught Mikoláš Aleš, the well-known Czech painter), chemistry, technology and cultivation of plants. Moreover he contributed to many pedagogical magazines. The beginnins of his teacher's career were not easy, he strained for an appropriate position and during that time he had hardly anything to eat. He gave private lessons for food and played in pubs with the band of musicians to earn some money. However, as really hardworking and diligent student he got stipendium and thus he had not have any financial problems since that time. He knew K. S. Amerling (a great pedagogue who participated in the efforts of a higher girls' education) whose lectures he attended and was influenced by his philosophy. Josef Věnceslav...

Analýza úkolů v čítankách pro 9.ročník ZŠ / Analysis of exercises in reading-books for 9th class of primary school

Procházková, Jana January 2013 (has links)
RESUMÉ The essence of this thesis is to compare selected reading books or workbooks in terms of the accompanying questions and issues. The work is theoretically based on the characteristics of the pubescent reader and also Bloom's taxonomy, classification and results in international tests like PISA etc. The thesis is also examining the readers' literacy. Its definition is changing in time. Literacy is not only focusing on the knowledge, but also plays an important role in integrating into society. It is a complex of several dimensions (relationship to reading, literal understanding, deduction, metacognition, sharing and application). Each of the components is indispensable. Five reading books of the 9th year of elementary school from different publishers (SPN, New School, Fraus, Alter) were analyzed. Two reading books are published by SPN, but each represents a different approach (the older one is based on the school curriculum, newer relates to teaching according to the RVP ZV). It was not a representative analysis of the whole supply of current reading books, but only a selected sample. Analysis of particular reading books is devoted to the general characteristics and context (author, declared associations with RVP ZV, illustrations, general structure of reading book, etc). In addition the reading books...

Bible jako literární dílo ve výuce literatury na gymnáziu / Bible as a Literary Work of Art in Literature Classes at Czech High Schools

Přibylová, Kateřina January 2014 (has links)
The first part of this thesis informs about the Bible in general, its origin, division, language and translations. Translations into the Czech language are looked at in greater detail as well as various adaptions that are at disposal of Czech high school teachers. One of the chapters discusses biblical phrases and shows the way they have infiltrated Czech culture. The Intertextuality and the Bible chapter looks at all the literary works that have their origins in the Bible. It also offers a text which may be used during literature classes. The second part of the thesis discusses school documents and text books as related to the Bible. After Czech general educational programs analysis, the thesis offers options on various ways of implementing some of the general educational programs targets during classes, both in Language and Communication or Man and Society educational area. There follows an analysis of three individual school educational programs, each of which addresses the Bible differently, works with it in a different grade and in different areas. Chapters concerning textbooks discuss what information and texts are made available to the students and evaluate these. The practical part of this thesis covers an analysis of a minor survey which was carried out among the fourth grade high school...

Ensino de cálculo diferencial e integral: das técnicas ao humans-with-media / Differential and Integral calculus: from the technique to humans-with-media

Vieira, Aldo Freitas 04 April 2013 (has links)
The epistemological and methodological difficulties in teaching Differential and Integral Calculus in graduate classrooms, the rapid technological advancements in both hardware and software and the apparently irreversible growth of distance learning constituted a major inspiration for this work. Analyzing the difficulties in giving meaning to the study of calculus as in Barufi (1999), its epistemological nature in Rezende (2003) and the methodologies used in Distance Education, this paper explores the ideas of artificial nature in Simon (1981), the intelligence technologies of Lévy (1993) and the debate over the technique of Ortega y Gasset (1963) to culminate with the concept of the collective humans-with-media as in Borba and Villarreal (2005). The present study intends to expand the boundaries by verifying the limits and possibilities of using new Information Technologies (IT\'s) to teach Differential and Integral Calculus courses to real and virtual students within the collective of humans-with-media. It suggests a new phase is beginning, where it is impossible to separate the technique from the human being, where there is no longer a technique and a human being, but only a media oriented individual who merges with the technique to become combined actors in the process of building knowledge. In this sense, it is impossible to relinquish the use of information technologies in the study of Differential and Integral Calculus. It is imperative to understand the importance of these technologies in giving meaning to the study of Calculus by 13 the collective humans-with-media and explore these technologies as a potential resource to overcome the epistemological difficulties found in the axes systematization/construction, variability/permanence, global/local, discrete/continuous, finite/infinite and construction/meaning.

Schoolscapes: learning between classrooms

Herold, Gillian 10 April 2012 (has links)
This project outlines the design proposal for an alternative public high school in Toronto, Ontario. For this project the school is re-imagined as a Community Learning Centre. The goal of the Community Centre model is to foster life-long learning in young people which can occur when space emphasizes social interaction, citizenship, and life long learning. The design of the Community Learning Centre is an attempt to align educational priorities with design, to create learning environments that best suit the needs of the users. The focus of the project, is on places between the classrooms where there is opportunity for informal learning to take place. The term schoolscapes is use to describe these spaces. They include all of the places between classrooms and are a way of reimaging the corridors as active, lively and engaging spaces. To support and expand on the idea of schoolscapes, how the environment impacts people and learning, the shifting values in education, and how public space can be related to school interiors, have been investigated. The work of Prakash Nair, Annalise Gehling and Herman Hertzberger, on school design and its correlation to public space have been extremely influential for this project, as has the work of Jan Ghel on lively city spaces. Jan Ghel identifies key features of good public space that can provide the foundation for the design of informal learning spaces. The writing of Nair, Gehling and Hertzberger will be used to support how these characteristics can be applied to the learning environment. The design of the Community Learning Centre explores how the ideals imbedded in public space can be carried over to the interior of a learning environment.

Gender roles in textbooks as a function of hidden curriculum in Tanzania primary schools

Mkuchu, Sydney Gamaliel Valentino 30 November 2004 (has links)
One gender related issue addressed in the Education and Training Policy of Tanzania is the thrust to ensure that gender equality prevails in the schooling process. One way of implementing gender equality is the elimination of gender role stereotyping in school textbooks. Tanzania scholarship on gender shows that there is knowledge gap on how gender roles are depicted in textbooks. Furthermore there are no adequate mechanisms to ensure the production of textbooks that are free from gender stereotyping. Based on a Liberal Feminist Framework, the study using content analysis method has examined the extent to which gender roles had been portrayed in the 40 textbooks in the six subjects taught in Tanzanian government primary schools. Further, employing interviews, the study examined mechanisms instituted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MOEC) and Publishers to ensure that the production of textbooks is not gender biased. The findings of this study include the following:  Female compared to male characters were being under represented in:  Frequency of appearance and power related aspects such as leadership, ownership of property and association with technology,  leisure and sports activities;  The depiction of reproductive and productive roles is biased into traditional femininity and masculinity;  Gender biased language is minimal; and  Personality traits are differentiated between traditional masculinity and femininity groupings; and  The mechanisms to eliminate gender stereotyping in producing textbooks are inadequate as the emphasis is on producing textbooks that matched with the official curriculum. The Hidden Curriculum Theory and the corresponding Social Learning Theory instruct that gender biased hidden messages in textbooks are acquired by students through socialization. Gender biased hidden messages have the negative impact of creating a society that disrespects gender equality. While both boy and girl learners are negatively affected by these messages, girls are more affected in not building positive self-esteem, have less career options and few role models. The study concludes with recommendations to stakeholders in textbooks production to produce non-sexist textbooks. The recommendations are intended to generate awareness on the importance of producing textbooks that are non-sexist. This is coupled with recommendations for further studies. / Educational Studies / D. Ed. (Comparative Education)

Region Benešovska ve výuce na 2. stupni ZŠ / Benešovsko Region in the Second Grade of Primary School Education

HEŘMÁNKOVÁ, Iva January 2012 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the position of teaching the local region in the educational programmes. On the basis of empirical research, it summarises the findings of teaching the local region in primary schools and the lower grade of grammar school in the Benešovsko region. Based on the results of worksheet research, it compares the pupils? knowledge about Benešovsko region and then it tries to find the connection between the level of the pupils? knowledge and the ways of teaching this topic. The second part of the thesis is focused on the actual suggestion of teaching the local region concept. It contains a complete teaching material in the form of working textbook, suggestion of school geographical project, school excursion and methodological manual including time devotion and curriculum content, chosen teaching forms and methods and integral approach to education. The conception is based on the actual Framework Education Programme for Primary Education.
