1	En jämförelse av genusnormer i Tomtebobarnen och Ska vi va? Granberg, Agnes, Kuru, Michelle January 2023 (has links) Studiens syfte är att undersöka vilka genusnormer som synliggörs i bilderböckerna Tomtebobarnen (1910) av Elsa Beskow och Ska vi va? (2013) av Pija Lindenbaum. De valda bilderböckerna analyseras med hjälp av kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod samt begreppen ikonotext och Maria Nikolajevas tabell över kvinnliga och manliga egenskaper. Analysen stöds också med hjälp av tidigare forskning och ett antal centrala begrepp. Av analysen framgår det att Tomtebobarnen framställer genusnormer mer entydigt i både bild och text än Ska vi va?. Ska vi va? innehåller karaktärer som både bryter och förstärker genusnormerna genom sina illustrationer och text. Genusnormerna framkommer i båda böckerna via kläder, egenskaper och handlingar. Diskussionen belyser hur bilderböckerna kan användas i undervisningen och vilka pedagogiska utmaningar läraren kan stöta på i arbetet med böckerna. Studien konstaterar att det behövs vidare forskning om hur de aktuella bilderböckerna används i undervisningen idag och hur nya didaktiska metoder skulle kunna implementeras. 2	Elsa Beskows bilderboksmotiv : Konstvetenskapliga bildanalyser av utvalda bilder / Elsa Beskow picture book paintings : Art scientific image analysis of selected subjects Bergqvist, Annika January 2018 (has links) Innehåll/Content: Elsa Beskow was an artist and a writer who for 50 years, from the turn of the 19th century, produced a wide variety of books for children. The books have been read for several generations and are translated into multiple languages, and they are still released and appreciated. This essay is based on literature studies and several different art scientific image analysis on selected paintings from Elsa Beskow picture books. The aim is to investigate how the children and their environments are portrayed in her picture books. The theoretical approach assumes that it is possible to preform image analysis on picture book paintings. In the analysis, Beskow’s contemporary theoretical ideas about children, education and also later feminist theory have been taken into account. The methodical approach is based on different image analysis as formal and style analysis according to Wölfflin, iconographic and iconological analysis according to Panofsky, semiotic analys according to Barthes and feminist image analysis or analysis from a gender perspective. The paintings that are analysed are from Children from the Forest, The Flowers’ Festival, The Children of Hat Cottage, Emily and Daisy and Petter and Lotta’s Christmas. The results of my analysis focused on how the children's environments are portrayed. For the showing, the environments are divided into multiple categories: the physical environment (country and city, exteriors and interiors), the family situation (different family constellations), children's education and schooling including ethics and morals, norms and values, the food situation and realism were set against fantasy. The comparison of the analytical methods provided that the formal and style analysis are appropriate to use on picture book paintings, as well as the description and interpretation of the iconographic analysis. The results demonstrated that iconological and semiotic analysis, respectively, were possible but not optimal. Analysis from a gender perspective was suitable. Lastly, the literature studies gave insight into how much of Elsa Beskow's life is reflected in her books. 3	Translation or rewriting of proper names : A study of children’s literature across a century / Översätting eller omskrivning av egennamn : En studie på barnlitteratur under ett sekel Sand, Veronica January 2021 (has links) The translation of names is a topic for discussion within many fields, no less so within translation studies. Furthermore, the translation of proper names in children’s literature is a topic with on-going changes. There is a divide between those who believe that the names should be translated into proper cultural equivalent and those who believe it is time to have faith in children being able to handle foreign names. That is what this study will focus on. Approx. 15 names from seven children’s books from 1865 to 2011 were studied to conclude that there seems to be a greater faith in children’s ability to handle foreign names. Three languages were compared English, Spanish, and Swedish with the majority of the 337 names studied being kept in their original format, with spelling intact. / Översättningen av namn är ett diskussionsämne inom många områden, inte minst inom översättningsstudier. Utöver detta är översättningen av egennamn inom barnlitteratur ett ämne som är under ständig förändring. Det finns en klyfta mellan de som menar att namn borde bli översatta till sin kulturella likvärdighet och de som menar att det är på tiden att lita på att barn kan hantera främmande namn. Det är denna diskussion som kommer vara fokus för denna uppsatsen.
