AFETOS DE UM MUNDO SECRETO: FABULAÇÕES DE UMA FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE

Barin, Ana Cláudia 11 August 2015 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This master s thesis experimented the fabulation to think encounters regarding teachers formation. Such encounters were produced by affects (SPINOZA, 2013) triggered by the animation Coraline (2009). The encounters dialogue with visual diaries were constructed during the Supervised Teaching Practice in the Visual Arts Teaching Major. The memory that I have fabricated was not the one about a recall or a review of what the teaching formation diaries contained, but it was the creation, which might have come from these registers. Moved by Deleuze s (1997) and Deleuze e Guattari s (1995) thoughts, I have produced, with connections from the past, something in constant development, an anti-narrative, about to happen, breaking the time sequences of events. The secret world constructed in this research is not about another world, but this world, here and now, what happens in complete immanence, all that might become. I operated with concepts such as affects and encounters to trace the sewing of this research, to map this rhizome, where methodic thinking is defeated by disorder towards the creation of new territories. The experimentation through the memory was the fabulation, which invades the character Coraline s quotidian and elements present in the pedagogical diaries. The text was built in the mix of such borders, in the teaching living based on the fabulation I produced in this research.

Barbosa, Nahinã de Almeida Rosa 13 August 2012 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Nahina de Almeida Rosa Barbosa.pdf: 4546645 bytes, checksum: 5947eac026f0083b3e264f55dd40e6aa (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-08-13 / This thesis aims to examine the update that the myth of Orpheus has suffered in the movie "Coraline" an adaptation of the British Neil Gaiman s novel "Coraline" (2003) , through a comparative and dialogic analysis, based on Bakhtin s concepts of dialogism, carnivalization and grotesque, between the original myth and its degradation in the film work. The proposal of a dialogic study between the myth of Orpheus and the movie happens not only because of the dessacralization that the myth has suffered, but also for the common theme of the katabasis, since Coraline and Orpheu made it to rescue something that was taken from them, whether it was the loved one or the recognition of the family and own values. After this analysis, based on Mircea Eliade s, Pierre Brunel s and João Batista de Brito s studies, the double was shown as an increase that the myth has suffered on this update and the reason why there was the manifestation of the double in this work was elucidated.

When the cat is away, the (m)other will play : regression and identity formation in Neil Gaiman's Coraline

Agnell, Emma January 2014 (has links)
This essay examines Neil Gaiman’s Coraline from a psychoanalytic perspective, with focus on the formation of the super ego. While the young girl’s identity formation has been examined before, the general focus is often oedipal. In this essay, I choose to step away from the oedipal and examine the psychosymbolism throughout the novella. The aim is to see how Coraline’s own psychic development manifests itself in the other world. The characters in the novella are looked upon as representations of different aspects of Coraline’s psyche. Her actions with them are considered to be representations of internal conflicts or resolutions.   In short, this essay examines how the novella portrays the psychodevelopmental nature of the child's identity formation.

Translation or rewriting of proper names : A study of children’s literature across a century / Översätting eller omskrivning av egennamn : En studie på barnlitteratur under ett sekel

Sand, Veronica January 2021 (has links)
The translation of names is a topic for discussion within many fields, no less so within translation studies. Furthermore, the translation of proper names in children’s literature is a topic with on-going changes. There is a divide between those who believe that the names should be translated into proper cultural equivalent and those who believe it is time to have faith in children being able to handle foreign names. That is what this study will focus on. Approx. 15 names from seven children’s books from 1865 to 2011 were studied to conclude that there seems to be a greater faith in children’s ability to handle foreign names. Three languages were compared English, Spanish, and Swedish with the majority of the 337 names studied being kept in their original format, with spelling intact.

Obraz opuštěného dítěte v dětských příbězích Neila Gaimana / The Image of a Forsaken Child in Neil Gaiman´s Children´s Stories

KULHÁNKOVÁ, Nikola January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a comparative analysis of the image of a forsaken child in the stories written by a popular English writer Neil Gaiman. The survey of a forsaken child in the Gothic, Romantic and Victorian literature (Walpole, Radcliffe, Blake, Dickens, the Brontë sisters) precedes the interpretation. In addition, this diploma thesis considers the separation of the young hero from his family and friends in traditional fairy tales. In this respect, the thesis discusses the role of transitional rituals and their links to the theme of the test in adventurous literature (Gennep, Bachtin). The first, theoretical chapters point out the fact that the transition to a new existence (adulthood) is often accompanied by horror elements or the nearness of death in the adventurous stories. The novel Coraline is a basis for the literary analysis. The psychological characteristic of the main heroine and her family is linked to the function of home and the role of "the other mother" as a source of the Gothic atmosphere and danger. The following chapters analyse other Gaiman's works ("M is for Magic", The Graveyard Book, Odd and the Frost Giants, Fortunately, the Milk, The Ocean at the End of the Zone) in order to study the relations between the reality and dreams, violence and interpersonal relationships, and to describe the heroes' search for the individual identity.
