Between the new Pentecostal churches can be mentioned the World s Church of God s Power . Founded by apostle Valdemiro Santiago in the year 1998, have conquered place in media and in number of adepts. The World s Church of God s Power is a dissident of Universal Church of God s Kingdom . Our research verify the differences and similarities between the World s Church of God s Power and Universal Church of God s Kingdom . To understand the phenomenological process, we choose the Weberian method of the sociology of comprehension. We built through the relive, one concept of pure and ideal type in the dialectic movement between World s Church of God s Power and Universal Church of God s Kingdom . In the ideality field, the Universal represents the bureaucracy, which is the process of institutionalization, historic results of all the religious movement. The World s Church of God s Power represents the prophecy, that the characteristic is the contestation. An exam of the rational domination and charismatic domination will help us to comprehend the phenomenon. The fundamental difference between the two churches is focused in charisma. The Universal institutionalize itself trough the bureaucracy, rational domination, and the World s is the prophecy that is reaffirmed by the charismatic domination. A Mundial representa a Profecia, cuja característica é a contestação.

Medeiros, Rangel de Oliveira 04 August 2011 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-06-02T20:38:26Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 4038.pdf: 2201340 bytes, checksum: e81ba7d0740040195a15afe5f6fe6401 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-08-04 / Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos / The aim of this thesis is to analyze the Pentecostal discourse focusing primarily on various levels of discourse production of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) and the International Church of the Grace of God (ICGG) in order to answer the following question: Is the structuring of these churches predominantly built on the theology of prosperity or on a more varied a range of discursive elements? Based on the hypothesis that these churches try to offer a full experience of life and religion, in opposition to the idea that has been spread by many non-academic commentators and academic works that these churches are only ―supermarket of faith‖, where the ―customer‖ ―buys‖ religious products that he will use in his worldly life and soon goes away, eventually to become ―customer of another supermarket‖. To this end we analyzed two different national contexts. Church activities were followed in Brazil, mainly in Florianopolis, and the Netherlands, especially in the capital Amsterdam. This work also has the characteristics of case study and comparative study. Information obtained during fieldwork in Brazil brought elements for analyzing the behavior of the church and its parishioners in a very different national context, thus enabling us to see what remains and what changes in the discourse of the church and the attitudes of the followers in the new context.

It compares the practices of Pentecostals and Neopentecostals with the standards of behavior of Brazilian political culture and actions related to the National State as preserver of culture. The religious agents of the referred to Churches are studied based on the investment of their Churches in national politics, in relation to Constitutional Amendments of 1987-1988, but the time frame of the research refers to two legislative periods, from 1999 to 2006. The main focus of the analysis is the Evangelical Parliamentary Front founded in 2003. The involvement of Pentecostals and Neopentecostals in cases of corruption and the appropriation of public resources, known as mensalão and mafia dos sanguessugas , is given special attention in the last chapter of the research.(AU) / Esta tese apresenta uma análise das práticas políticas de parlamentares pentecostais e neopentecostais da Assembléia de Deus e Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus no Congresso da República do Brasil, de 1999 a 2006. The Universal Church and the spirit of the hut: analysis of the \"religious\" and \"political\" discourses of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) in southern Mozambique

Silas André Fiorotti 06 March 2018 (has links)
The study analyzes some discourses of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) in southern Mozambique and problematizes the dialogues of this church with aspects of different religious contexts and with political power. The theoretical inspiration lies in the authors who pointed out the political implications of various religious practices and witchcraft discourses in African contexts (P. Geschiere, H. G. West, and others) and in the authors who pointed out the difficulties to designate something as strictly political or strictly religious (T. Asad, and others). In this sense, the study did not start from a definition of religion, but seeks to identify the place that the religion occupied and occupies in Mozambique. In addition to the use of secondary sources, the study analyzes some of the written materials produced by UCKG in Mozambique, some television programs, some cults of the UCKG in Mozambique, and interviews with Mozambican religious leaders. Without ignoring the continuities in relation to the UCKG in Brazil, the study points out that several practices in other religious contexts, mainly \"traditional\" and Zionist in southern Africa, have created and created conditions for the UCKGs speeches to be significant in southern Mozambique.

More than partnership : a contextual model of an organic-complementary communion in world mission under consideration of kenosis

Gwinner, Detlef 02 1900 (has links)
With globalization the subject of partnership has become one of the main issues in World Mission. Partnerships are formed in all parts of the world in order to promote collaboration between churches, denominations, and mission organizations. Although good partner relationships are a desired objective, historical prejudices and cultural differences and bias lead to barriers which hinder good partnership relations. How can these barriers be overcome? Christian partnerships are usually only based on a collaboration of the partners and the Christian aspect in a relationship in World Mission is neglected. This study presents a theological basis for a Christian relationship in World Mission, coming from the creation of the human being in the image of God, the communion within the Trinity, especially the concepts of “kenosis” and “koinonia,” and the image of the Body of Christ. A second part of this study researches the historical and sociological aspects of partnership in order to identify barriers for a good partner relationship. The findings of the theological research will then be compared with the outcomes of the historical and sociological study and conclusions for an improvement should be presented. The foundation for mission-church relationship in a global context needs to be a spiritual relationship, since the acting partners come together on a basis of their Christian faith and are part of the universal Body of Christ. The kenotic attitude of the partners plays a major role in their relationship and the proposed model for functioning relationships in World Mission needs to be an organic-complementary communion. The last part then presents a new model for the relationship in World Mission, in which several elements of organic-complementary communion are described. These elements are living together in the Body of Christ, learning together, serving together, suffering and celebrating together, sharing together, working together, and discovering theology together. The study concludes with a proposal of a concept of a “common space” in order to show how such a new model could be lived out in the everyday relationships in World Mission. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / D.
