Магистерская диссертация «Концепция сайта российского научного журнала» состоит из трех глав – теоретической, аналитической и практической, заключения и библиографического списка, включающего 88 наименований. Цель исследования – разработать универсальную концепцию сайта научного журнала. Объект: сайты российских научных журналов. Предмет: параметры сайтов российских научных журналов. В первой главе диссертации изучено понятие сайта как издательского продукта и отражена его специфика. Сайт представлен как комплекс сведений, состоящий из концепции, проработанного понимания целевой аудитории, семантического ядра, структуры, дизайна и контента. В ходе изучения были сопоставлены основные черты изданий и сайтов для определения зоны работы специалистов издательского дела, а также обозначены ключевые различия между этими информационными продуктами. Во второй главе представлен редакторский анализ сайтов российских научных журналов, в результате которого было выяснено состояние 50 сайтов научных журналов, оценена их эффективность и приведена характеристика внешнего вида, структуры и юзабилити. В итоге были обнаружены достоинства и недостатки сайтов научных журналов, которые были учтены при разработке универсальной концепции. В третьей главе предложена универсальная концепция сайта научного журнала, которую можно использовать при разработке конкретного проекта сайта журнала с учетом проработки указанных в концепции аспектов, зависящих исключительно от тематического направления будущего СМИ, предпочтений и возможностей его разработчиков и учредителей. / The master thesis "The concept of the site of the Russian scientific journal" consists of three chapters – theoretical, analytical and practical, conclusion and bibliography, which includes 88 titles. The purpose of the study is to develop a universal concept for a scientific journal site. Object: sites of Russian scientific journals. Subject: site parameters of Russian scientific journals. In the first chapter of the thesis, the concept of a site as a publishing product is studied and its specificity is reflected. The site is presented as a complex of information consisting of a concept, a well-developed understanding of the target audience, a semantic core, structure, design and content. During the study, the main features of publications and websites were compared to determine the working area of publishing specialists, and the key differences between these information products were identified. The second chapter presents an editorial analysis of the sites of Russian scientific journals, as a result of which the status of 50 sites of scientific journals was determined, their effectiveness was evaluated and the characteristics of appearance, structure and usability were given. As a result, the advantages and disadvantages of scientific journal sites were discovered, which was taken into account when developing a universal concept. The third chapter proposes a universal concept of a scientific journal site, which can be used for developing a specific project of a journal site, taking into account the development of aspects specified in the concept that depend solely on the thematic direction of the future media, preferences and capabilities of its developers and founders.

Research question: How is the inclusivity of ASD consumers addressed in online shopping? Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the online shopping experience of consumers with autism to identify opportunities for e-commerce businesses to create more inclusive websites. Method: A relevant literature scan has been done to identify the gap and spot the topic, followed by a secondary data review to recognise which can serve the purpose.  Thereafter, the thesis followed a qualitative approach to research by conducting semi-structured interviews with autistic consumers, autism experts, and web designers. Eight interviewees in total, supported by three sources of secondary data. The collected data was thematically analysed then. Conclusion: This study identifies challenges faced by individuals with ASD when navigating online, including sensory issues, language comprehension difficulties, distraction, and decision-making challenges, leading to feelings of exclusion. Inclusive design strategies are proposed, such as simple navigation, clear language, straightforward layouts, and sensory-friendly visual elements. Understanding the unique needs of ASD consumers is emphasized to create an inclusive shopping environment. Benefits for businesses include expanding the customer base, fostering loyalty, increasing satisfaction, meeting corporate social responsibility goals, and improving growth. Inclusivity is both a moral imperative and a business opportunity, with transparency, trust-building, and customer service being key. By prioritising inclusiveness and adopting successful examples, businesses can create a welcoming and accessible online shopping experience for individuals with ASD while driving profitability and customer loyalty.

Does web usability affect brand perception? : A comparative study on the "Iliad Italia S.P.A." corporate website

The concept of brand nowadays goes beyond the simple logo printed or displayed on a product or service. Branding is an important element for companies, and the communication channels used to deliver brand messages play a fundamental role. The advancement and innovation in web technologies made web communication artefacts crucial channels for companies and a key aspect of these artefacts is their usability. In this project a re-design process has been carried on the “Iliad Italia S.p.A.” corporate website from scratch, introducing innovative approaches such as user-centered design and value-based design. The developed website has been then used to perform an innovative comparative study aiming of verifying whether or not web usability affects brand perception. Adopting two different innovative procedures, brand perception has been measured on test subjects after using the old website and the new one. Analyzing the gathered data, a visible correlation has been found between usability and brand perception, indeed, using a website with higher usability resulted in a higher brand perception and the usage of a website with lower usability resulted in a decrease in brand perception in test subjects. The project introduced innovative research tools and procedures in a real case scenario, illustrating how they can be adopted in the development of web-communication artefact in companies, moving web development and marketing a step closer each other. / Il concetto di brand oggi va oltre il semplice logo stampato o esposto su un prodotto o servizio. Il branding è un elemento importante per le aziende, e i canali di comunicazione utilizzati per veicolare i messaggi del brand giocano un ruolo fondamentale. Il progresso e l'innovazione nelle tecnologie web hanno reso gli artefatti di comunicazione web cruciali per le aziende, e un aspetto chiave di questi artefatti è la loro usabilità. In questo progetto è stato portato avanti un processo di re-design del sito web aziendale di "Iliad Italia S.p.A." partendo da zero, introducendo approcci innovativi come lo user-centered design e il value-based design. Il sito web sviluppato è stato poi utilizzato per effettuare uno studio comparativo innovativo volto a verificare se l'usabilità di un sito web influisce o meno sulla percezione del brand negli utenti. Adottando due diverse procedure innovative, è stata misurata la percezione del brand successivamente all'uso del vecchio e del nuovo sito web. Analizzando i dati raccolti, è stata trovata una visibile correlazione tra usabilità e percezione del brand, infatti, l'utilizzo di un sito web con una maggiore usabilità ha portato a una maggiore percezione del brand e l'utilizzo di un sito web con una minore usabilità ha portato a una diminuzione della percezione del brand nei soggetti del test. Il progetto ha introdotto strumenti di ricerca e procedure innovative in uno scenario di uso reale, illustrando come questi strumenti e procedure possono essere adottate nello sviluppo di artefatti di comunicazione web nelle aziende, avvicinando lo sviluppo web al marketing. / Begreppet märke går idag utöver den enkla logotypen som skrivs ut eller visas på en produkt eller tjänst. Varumärke är ett viktigt inslag för företag, och kommunikationskanalerna som används för att leverera varumärkesmeddelanden spelar en grundläggande roll. Utvecklingen och innovationen inom webbteknologier gjorde att webbkommunikationsföremål är viktiga kanaler för företag och en viktig aspekt av dessa föremål är deras användbarhet. I detta projekt har en ny designprocess genomförts på "Iliad Italia S.p.A." företagets webbplats från grunden och introducerar innovativa metoder som användarcentrerad design och värdebaserad design. Den utvecklade webbplatsen har sedan använts för att utföra en innovativ jämförande studie som syftar till att verifiera om webbanvändbarhet påverkar varumärkesuppfattningen eller inte. Antagande av två olika innovativa förfaranden, varumärkesuppfattning efter användningen av den gamla och nya webbplatsen har mäts på testämnen. Genom att analysera de samlade uppgifterna har en synlig korrelation hittats mellan användbarhet och varumärkesuppfattning. Att använda en webbplats med högre användbarhet resulterade faktiskt i en högre varumärkesuppfattning och användningen av en webbplats med lägre användbarhet resulterade i en minskning av varumärkesuppfattningen i testpersoner. Projektet introducerade innovativa forskningsverktyg och förfaranden i ett verkligt fallsscenario, som illustrerar hur de kan användas för att utveckla webbkommunikationsartiklar i företag, flytta webbutveckling och marknadsföring ett steg närmare.

An anonymous company has been redesigning its website to a responsive site and during this process the users have the option to stay on either site. This study examined the reasons as to why users stay on the non-responsive site and how the responsive site could be improved to make them switch to it. In order to understand how users were effected by first impressions and age as well as how adaption to technology works, previous research in these areas have been presented. A survey and user test were conducted to find the answers to the research question. Because the transformation to a responsive site meant that the visual structure changed, it affected the users’ existing habits. The results and conclusion were that there were three major groups stating different main reasons on what would make them go to the responsive site. The strategy for making users on the non-responsive site more satisfied with the responsive site would be to first implement missing functionality. The next step would be to invite all users and adding guides to help them to learn how to find what they usually look for. / Ett anonymt företag har arbetat med att designa om sin hemsida till att bli responsiv och under den här processen har användarna haft möjlighet att stanna på båda websidorna. Den här studien undersökte varför vissa användare stannade på den icke responsiva sidan och hur den responsiva sidan kan förbättras för att få dem att byta till den. För att förstå hur användare påverkades av första intryck och ålder samt hur anpassning till teknik fungerar har tidigare forskning inom dessa områden presenterats. En enkät och användartest utfördes för att svara på frågeställningen. Eftersom en övergång till en responsiv sida innebar att den visuella strukturen ändrades påverkades användares redan existerande vanor. Resultatet och slutsatsen var att det fanns tre huvudgrupper som angav olika anledningar till vad som skulle få dem att gå över till den responsiva sidan. Strategin för att få användarna på den icke responsiva sidan mer nöjda med den responsiva sidan skulle vara att först implementera de funktioner som saknas. Nästa steg skulle vara att bjuda in alla användare och att skapa guider för att hjälpa dem att lära sig hur de hittar det de oftast letar efter.

IT-information och kommunikation är medel att förbättra hälsan hos personer med psykiska funktionshinder. Mitt arbete handlar om att utforma en webblösning för människor med psykiska funktionshinder. Jag har genomfört intervjuer och en workshop. Jag har intervjuat både brukare och personer som tar hand om dem. Jag har engagerat brukare i min designprocess. Under workshopen lät jag brukarna fritt avgöra vilken av mina designlösningar som var intressantast och mest användbar för deras behov. Jag beslöt att utforma en webbsida för brukarna för att engagera och uppmuntra dem till social samverkan, vilket har varit den centrala funktionen i slutkonceptet. Webbsidan innehåller flera funktioner: visar brukarnas humör och olika möjligheter att peppa varandra via musik, bilder, text samt skicka meddelanden.Effekterna av IT-kommunikation bland personer med psykiska funktionshinder borde undersökas ytterligare. / IT-Information and communication may provide a mean of improving health among people with psychological disabilities.My project is about creating a web-solution for people with psychological disabilities. I have carried through interviews and a workshop. I have interviewed both the users and the staff that take care of them. I have engaged the users in my design process. My goal was to identify the user’s needs and to create my design with that in mind. During the workshop I let the users freely decide upon which of my design suggestions that where most interesting and useful for their needs. I decided to create a website for the users to engage and encourage social intercourse, which has been the central function in my final design. The Website consists of several functions: it shows the users’ mood and there are several options to pep each other: by sending music, pictures, text and messages.The effects of IT-communication among people with psychological disabilities should be further explored.

En prototyp av ett webbaserat placeringssystem till Södersjukhusets akutmottagning / A Prototype of a Web-based Placement System for Södersjukhuset’s Emergency Department

The emergency department at Södersjukhuset is one of the largest in the Nordic region. There is a large workforce with several skills at different levels, which means that the placement of the personnel becomes complex. The problem with the current placement method is that it is a manual and time consuming process. This report aims to solve this problem by creating a prototype of an automated and web-based placement system. During the development of the prototype different programming languages were used in unison to create a website with different functions. The most important functions to create were a search tool for names, save the placements in the form of a PDF-file and to be able to clear the placements.   The goals of the project were satisfied. However, several improvements can be made to the prototype to make it more valuable for the workplace. The advantage of the prototype was that it saves time for the scheduling staff. Additionally, it facilitates the work for the on-duty personnel as the placement is easily visualised for every module at the emergency department. / Södersjukhusets akutmottagning är en av Nordens största. Där finns en stor personalstyrka med olika yrkesgrupper och inom dem finns flera olika kompetensnivåer, vilket medför att placeringen av personalen blir komplex. Problemet med nuvarande placeringssystem är att det är en manuell och tidskrävande process. Målet för projektet var att lösa detta problem genom att skapa en prototyp av ett automatiserat och webbaserat placeringssystem.  Under utvecklingen av prototypen användes olika programmeringsspråk i samklang för att skapa en hemsida med olika funktioner. De viktigaste funktionerna som skapades var att kunna söka efter namn, spara placeringen i form av en PDF-fil samt att kunna rensa placeringen på information.   Målen för arbetet uppfylldes. Samtidigt finns det flera utvecklingsområden för prototypen som kan göra den mer användbar och värdefull för arbetsplatsens placering av personal. Fördelen med prototypen var att den sparar tid för bemanningspersonalen samt underlättar arbetet för personalen i tjänst då hela placeringen enklare kan visualiseras på varje modul.
