TowardsWeb User-Centric Development / Vers un développement Web orienté utilisateurPascalau, Emilian 07 April 2014 (has links)
World Wide Web (WWW) has become the greatest repository of information that man has ever assembled and it is continuously growing. WWW transformed itself into a generative environment that fosters innovation through the advance of technologies and a shift in people’s perception of the Weband how they use it. The new WWW or Future Internet is that of an Internet of Services and Internet of Things.Naturally, a series of questions arise from this context: how do you filter things to create more value than you currently get? how do you aggregate things in an intelligent and easy way instead of doing it in your head? The world cannot be described unambiguously, so how can you allow users to deal with the world in their own way, based on their understanding? Levine in his book "Cluetrain manifesto" was arguing that markets are conversations so how can users be involved in the conversation? how can users be empowered with easy consumption of the services, information, things that they found around? However design and deployment of such software capable of direct interaction and empowerment of the end-user is still an issue. We have on one side users that have ideas, but do not have technical background and lack programming skills to do the development by themselves. On the other side, we have large amounts of data, resources and services that could be aggregated both in terms of data, but most important in terms of behavior to innovate and create new things. Our goal in this thesis is to address this lack of tools that are capable of direct interaction andempowerment of end-users, in a unified manner. Thus our main contribution in this thesis is the development of a holistic approach for web based systems that are user-centric and that integrate data, services and behavior available on the Web 2.0.

[EN] The research's goal is to determine if students report an improvement in their learning when using Web 2.0 tools. The study used the Wiki as a Web 2.0 tool because its collaborative work features, where several students can add, remove and improve a document's content progressively and asynchronously, while using a very friendly environment. The feedback option allows students and teacher to exchange comments on the progress, before editing or adding content.
To measure the reports of student learning we did extensive research on learning theories as behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism and connectivism. In addition, the literature review allowed us to study and understand different web 2.0 tools which are used in education.
The research about state of the art and evaluation of web 2.0 tools used in education, is the foundation of the thesis model, which the following variables: Participation, Technology Skills, Sense of Community and Collaborative Learning. These allow measuring the reported student learning. Each variable was studied individually from different author's perspective, as well as the relationships presented in the model. This gives the theoretically validation of the final model thesis.
The research was conducted on 472 students of 20 subjects of Business Administration Faculty in the Bolivian Private University where the Web 2.0 Wiki tool was applied. At the end, the students filled a survey that measured each of the aforementioned variables and scales validated by their respective authors.
Empirical results allowed to determine the dimensionality, convergent validity, discriminant validity and reliability of scales. Also, relationships between variables belonging to the hypotheses, having positive effects on all of them, and showing that the final model corresponds and it's validate.
Web 2.0 and Network Society : -PR and Communication: The Challenge of Online Social Networks.Tandefelt, Max January 2008 (has links)

Abstract

As online social network services are becoming one of the dominant media channels the importance of disseminating messages through them is of high importance for governments, organizations, companies etc. The online social network services are several and changes rapidly as they grow and evolve. Being networks, the services give the user the tools to send, as well as receive text and information. This proposes us with yet another obstacle in communication via online social network services since sender and receiver merges together.

Online social network services and the Blogosphere, which essentially also is a network, exist in the context of Web 2.0. The crucial feature of Web 2.0 is to a large degree the harnessing of collective intelligence i.e. the collection of individual knowledge and information. Many of the tools and sites within Web 2.0 are therefore of a network structure, hence further stressing the importance to communicate via networks in general.

Network Analysis is the discipline through which we can see and understand the larger patterns of networks. In this thesis I have looked into three key concepts of Network Analysis; Weak Links, Growth and Preferential Attachment. I have found that we can use the knowledge of Network Analysis to disseminate messages via online social network services since it provides us with the raw structures of how networks tend to grow, and how messages tend to disseminate.

Title: Web 2.0 and Network Society – PR and Communication: The Challenge of Online Social Networks

Number of pages: 34

Author: Max Tandefelt

Tutor: Else Nygren

Course: Media and Communication Studies C

Period: HT 07

University: Division of Media and Communication, Department of Information Science, Uppsala University.

Purpose/Aim: Facilitate message dissemination through online social network services, as they are becoming one of the dominant media channels

Material/Method: Network Analysis

Main results: I have presented crucial concepts of Network Analysis that can be used for message dissemination via online social network services

Keywords: Online Social Network Services, Network Analysis, Web 2.0, Message Dissemination

網站內容由使用者提供的Web 2.0網站之價值共創與創新事業模式研究 / A study of value co-creation and innovation business model of aggregator type Web 2.0 websites江芳儀, Chiang, Fang Yi Unknown Date (has links)
In the past business mindset, people think that the value was created by enterprises. Enterprises decide what value their products and services provide, and the consumer only means the demand of their product. With the industry environment changes and the internet economics’ coming, the boundary between producer and consumer is getting more and more indistinct. This kind of situation also takes place in the internet. The website only provides the information with their desires and the users for the website are just the flow creator. As the progress of the information technology and the internet technology, people are getting to cooperate by their collective intelligence through the internet. And the phrases“Web2.0”is born to represent this new internet development.
According to the research of July 2007 Taiwan broadband transmission investigated by TWNIC, the internet popularity rate of Taiwan has reached 67.77%, and there are more than 450 million network users around the world. In this kind of trend, the Web2.0 companies in the US has received $ 870 million from venture capitalists, and under the trend, plenty of start-up companies has devoted themselves in the business. So this study’s objective is to give a preliminary study on how the Web2.0 websites in Taiwan construct the innovative business model, and to let the new followers or the old Web1.0 websites know how to succeed in this competitive market.
This study will focus on the aggregator type Web2.0 website, research how the innovative concept come into being, start-up history, and how they create the business model of the value co-create with customer. At the beginning, this study will generalize the definition of the Web2.0 in this study by reviewing discusses and analyses which were proposed by scholars and internet trend observers, and then propose the research construct base on the business concept innovation (Hamel, 2000), value co-creation theory (Prahalad & Ramswamy, 2003), and the start-up capital construction.
After the case study and research, there are five research results:
1.The aggregator web2.0 website’s innovative concept is not only come from entrepreneur but also the website users. And there are many people participate the concept create process.
2.The aggregator web2.0 website’s core strategies will depend on if the entrepreneur is the lead user. Their target market strategy is to focus on one single niche market at the beginning, then extend to other niche market, and finally aim at mass market.
3.The strategic assets for the aggregator web2.0 website are not the key component. But with the website’s growth, the strategic assets will affect the core strategies’ construction and implementation.
4.The aggregator web2.0 website provides the value co-creation designed customer interface on its platform.
5.The aggregator web2.0 website builds their value network by content construction, complementary functions construction, value exchange and other alliances.

Unknown Date (has links)
