Esta tese tem como objeto de análise o personagem Franz Biberkopf em relação com seu entorno: a cidade de Berlim. Biberkopf é o protagonista do romance Berlin Alexanderplatz (1929), de Alfred Döblin, e da adaptação homônima para a televisão alemã, escrita e dirigida por Rainer Werner Fassbinder e que foi ao ar na Alemanha pela primeira vez em 1980. Ambas as obras constituem o corpus desta pesquisa. O principal objetivo é analisar a inadequação desse personagem ao seu ambiente histórico-social. Biberkopf é um ex-presidiário que, no enredo dessas obras, tenta reencontrar seu espaço na cidade de Berlim entre os anos de 1928 e 1929 após ter cumprido quatro anos de detenção. Ele vive na cidade como um sujeito desajustado, e sua inadequação à sociedade berlinense é investigada aqui como o fenômeno da Entfremdung (alienação), com base, principalmente, na fenomenologia do Fremd, de Bernhard Waldenfels, e a crítica da alienação, de Rahel Jaeggi. A base teórica deste trabalho, portanto, é interdisciplinar, abrangendo as matrizes da literatura (teoria literária), do cinema/TV (teoria do cinema) e da filosofia. / This thesis aims at analyzing the character Franz Biberkopf regarding his surroundings: the city of Berlin. Biberkopf is the protagonist of the novel Berlin Alexanderplatz (1929), by Alfred Döblin, and the same name adaptation for the German television, written and directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and which was aired in Germany for the first time in 1980. Both works are the corpus of this research. The main focus is to analyze the characters inadequacy in his social-historical environment. Biberkopf is an ex-convict who, in the plot of these works, tries to regain his space in Berlin between the years of 1928 and 1929, after four years of detention. He lives as a misfit person in the city, and his inadequacy to Berlin society 6 is investigated here as the Entfremdung (alienation) phenomenon, based mainly on phenomenology of the alien, by Bernhard Waldenfels, and on critique of alienation, by Rahel Jaeggi. Therefore, the theoretical basis of this work is interdisciplinary, covering the fields of literature (literary theory), cinema/TV (cinema theory) and philosophy.

Nesse intuito, busca-se aprofundar o estudo dos elementos tratados por Nietzsche ao longo de sua produção filosófica, passando pelos conceitos apolíneo e dionisíaco, a partir dos quais tratará do nascimento da arte trágica e do enfrentamento do pessimismo, e retratando as modificações sofridas por seu pensamento ao distanciar-se da concepção metafísica de arte e voltar-se a um projeto pelo qual enaltece a força dionisíaca em oposição ao conhecimento moral e metafísico. Desse modo, serão analisados os caminhos percorridos por esta filosofia trágica, que encontrará sua máxima na concepção do eterno retorno e na força dionisíaca de afirmação da existência / Abstract: This research aims to analyse the philosophical construction of Friedrich Nietzsche specifically the tragic wisdom's meaning, since when it was formulates in the study of the tragedy until the final writings in regard to the tragic. To this end, the focus was to analyse with details the study of elements that are used by Nietzsche throughout his philosophical production, through with the apollonian and dionysian's concepts, from which will deal with the begin of the tragic art and the confront of the pessimism, and reflecting the changes suffered from his thought that is to be distant from the metaphysical conception of art and to be with a project that extols the dionysian force in opposition to the moral and metaphysical knowledge. Thus, it will be analysed the paths that are taken by this tragic's philosophy, and that will find its maximum in the conception of eternal recurrence and Dionysian's power of life's affirmation / Mestre

Em ano de eleição, as campanhas em favor de candidatos a diversos cargos políticos se intensificam, assim como a cobertura da mídia em razão dos eventos e das personalidades políticas vinculadas ao pleito eleitoral. Desta forma, esta dissertação propõe-se a investigar o discurso jornalístico, em especial o gênero reportagem de revistas semanais de informação de Brasil e Alemanha, no que diz respeito a duas importantes figuras políticas desses dois países em ano eleitoral, a saber, Dilma Rousseff e Angela Merkel. É nesse contexto que se inserem as publicações Época e Focus, cujos projetos gráficos, em princípio, possuem semelhanças. Foram selecionadas dez reportagens dessas revistas, sendo cinco para cada título. Partimos da hipótese de que, por meio de seu discurso, as publicações tentam projetar algum tipo de ethos, seja positivo ou negativo, dessas personalidades políticas a fim de persuadir seu leitor em um contexto eleitoral. A fim de verificarmos tal hipótese, foram adotados os suportes teóricos da análise do discurso e seus modos de organização, de Charaudeau (2010b), as formas de discurso relatado e modalização, de Maingueneau (1997, 2011), as concepções de ethos (Meyer, 2007; Amossy, 2008; Charaudeau, 2008), além das considerações sobre o jornalismo (Lage, 1985, 2001). Os resultados apontaram para o fato de que, por meio de procedimentos linguístico-discursivos, as imagens das candidatas projetadas pelas revistas são, de modo geral, negativas. Isso significa que ambas as revistas possuem um posicionamento a respeito das duas candidatas, e, com isso, moldam o seu discurso a fim de persuadir os seus leitores a respeito dessas figuras políticas / In election years, campaigns in favor of candidates to various public posts get more intense, as well as media coverage, due to the events and political personalities connected to the polls. This dissertation aims at investigating the journalistic discourse, specially the genre news report, in weekly magazines published in Brazil and Germany, as far as two important political figures of those two countries are regarded, viz., Dilma Rousseff and Angela Merkel. This is the context of Época and Focus, magazines that have points in common regarding their graphic projects. Ten news reports have been selected, five from each magazine. The hypothesis of this work is that, by means of their discourses, the magazines sought to create a type of ethos, either positive or negative, of those political personalities so as to persuade their reading public in the electoral period. In order to confirm the accuracy of that hypothesis, the theoretical supports of Discourse Analysis and its organization from Charaudeau (2010b); the forms of reported speech and modalization from Maingueneau (1997, 2011); the concepts of ethos (Meyer, 2007; Amossy, 2008; Charaudeau, 2008), as well as the considerations on journalism made by Lage (1985, 2001) were used. It was concluded that, by means of linguistic-discursive procedures, the images of the candidates built by the magazines are overall negative. This means that both of the magazines take stands regarding the candidates and therefore shape their discourse in order to persuade their readers so far as those public figures are considered

A partir dos pressupostos de que crenças exercem um papel importante na aquisição e aprendizagem de línguas e de que o ensino de línguas tem chegado a uma fase que pode ser caracterizada como pós-métodos, o presente trabalho investiga em que medida um curso interativo e intensivo de alemão atua sobre as crenças dos aprendizes. O curso é baseado nos conceitos da teoria de aquisição de línguas estrangeiras de Stephen Krashen que apresenta uma distinção entre aquisição e aprendizagem e também demonstra que fatores afetivos atuam como um filtro para o aprendizado. Ao mesmo tempo, esta teoria é ampliada com aspectos de outras teorias de aquisição e aprendizagem de línguas. Desta forma o curso oferecido é focalizado na oralidade, aquisição e interação. Dentro do âmbito deste curso são pesquisadas no presente trabalho especialmente as crenças dos participantes do curso a respeito de autonomia, nas aulas de língua alemã e de língua em geral. A investigação aconteceu mediante o critério temporal, verificando-se quais as crenças os participantes possuíam antes e depois do curso. Ao mesmo tempo, o trabalho propõe a identificação de relações entre motivação, expectativas específicas sobre o curso, decisões programáticas dentro do curso e sua percepção pelos participantes. Também foram observados fatores afetivos que influenciam mudanças nas crenças gerais sobre aulas de línguas. No trabalho, investigam-se os pontos indicados mediante questionários, diários de aprendizagem, entrevistas, testes de desempenho e gravações das aulas. Os resultados do trabalho indicaram mudanças nas crenças dos participantes do curso para algumas determinadas áreas. Destacam-se aqui as crenças sobre a língua alemã e, em parte, sobre aulas de línguas. As crenças sobre autonomia não foram alteradas significativamente. Porém as interdependências das várias crenças se demonstraram complexas e múltiplas. / Parting from the supposition that beliefs have a considerable impact on language learning and language acquisition and that language teaching has reached a point that can be characterized as a post-methods era, the present work investigates what impacts an intensive and interactive German language course has on the participants beliefs. The language course in question is based on the theory established by Stephen Krashen and concerns in particular the learningacquisition distinction and the affective filter. Furthermore, this basis is amplified through aspects of other language learning theories. Thus, the offered language course focuses on oral skills, provides language acquisition rather than learning and interaction in the classroom. In the framework of such a course the beliefs of the participants are investigated, especially concerning affective variables and beliefs about the German language, language classes in general and autonomy. The investigation was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, learning diaries, achievement tests and audiotapes of class interaction. The participants beliefs held before and after the course were compared. At the same time, possible relations between motivation, expectations about the course and how the participants perceived the course were investigated. Affective variables throughout the course and how these affect learning and the beliefs of the participants were also investigated. The results of the work indicate that the participants beliefs in certain areas change throughout the course. Especially the beliefs about learning German and the German language seem to have changed. Partial changes were noticed in the beliefs about language learning in general. The course seems not to have an impact on the students beliefs on autonomy. The links between alteration of beliefs, motivations and expectations were found to be complex and diverse.

O presente trabalho apresenta uma tradução comentada de dois contos do autor sírio Rafik Schami, exilado desde 1971 na Alemanha. Com uma literatura socialmente engajada e transcultural, Schami propõe em sua obra um amálgama de tradições e traz em questão o debate acerca da diversidade cultural e da convivência entre as culturas. O objetivo de ressaltar na tradução a alteridade do texto de partida somente pode ser concebido por meio de uma reflexão preliminar acerca dos conceitos de cultura e das relações transculturais. Estas questões jogam luz sobre a importância da atitude estrangeirizante de tradução e abrem espaço para uma discussão sobre seu caráter pós-criativo e como ela se alinha ao projeto sociocultural de Schami. / The thesis at hand presents a commented translation of two narratives by the Syrian author Rafik Schami, who has been living in exile in Germany since 1971. By making use of a transcultural and socially-engaged literature, Schami offers in his writings an amalgam of traditions and brings up for discussion the debate about the cultural diversity and the coexistence amongst cultures. The goal of emphasizing the foreignness in the translation may only be achieved through a preliminary thought about the concepts of culture and the transcultural relations. These matters cast light upon the importance of the foreignizing translation practices and also give place to a discussion about its post-creative nature and how it aligns with Schamis sociocultural project.

Na presente pesquisa faz-se um estudo sobre o tratamento na interação, considerando que o tratamento não se limita apenas às formas pronominais e nominais, mas faz parte de um ritual da interação. Entende-se que ele está presente durante toda a interação, de forma mais marcada no estabelecimento e encerramento do contato e, como faz parte de um ritual lingüístico, a escolha do tratamento dispensado ao interlocutor é culturalmente marcada e segue padrões sociais de comportamento. Para adequar-se às diferentes situações comunicativas, os locutores utilizam formas de tratamento (pronominais e nominais) e fórmulas que os auxiliem na abordagem do outro. As fórmulas usadas no tratamento fazem parte das chamadas fórmulas de rotina e fórmulas discursivas, as quais foram analisadas, neste trabalho, de maneira contrastiva entre a língua alemã e a língua portuguesa, em e-mails de ambas as línguas. / This research focuses on forms of address in verbal interaction considering that they are not limited to pronouns or nouns, but should be seen as a central piece in the interaction ritual. They are present throughout interaction, more clearly at the moments when contact begins and ends, and, since they are part of a linguistic ritual, the choice of the form used to address the interlocutor is culturally marked and follows social patterns of behavior. In order to fit different communicative situations, speakers use forms of address (both nouns and pronouns) and formulas that help them to approach the hearer. The formulas used in address are known as routine and discoursive formulas, both of which are analyzed in this research in a contrast between German and Portuguese, using e-mails written in both languages.

O espaço em toda a sua complexidade de relações é o objeto central de estudo da Geografia. É também um aspecto de relevância nos estudos de textos literários, uma vez que praticamente todas as narrativas se passam em algum lugar, seja ele real ou fictício. Esta dissertação busca o diálogo entre a Literatura e a Geografia, por meio do estudo de dois textos literários da autora Yoko Tawada. Levando em consideração as mudanças no âmbito da mobilidade e da configuração do espaço mundial, analiso como esse processo emerge na Literatura atual, mais especificamente nos textos Onde a Europa começa (1991) e Às margens do Spree (2007), em que a autora Yoko Tawada desloca(liza) suas personagens em viagens entre o Oriente e o Ocidente. Para isso, debruço-me sobre cada narrativa individualmente, mas também as comparando, levando em consideração a passagem do tempo entre uma publicação e outra. Busco tecer uma análise interdisciplinar e intertextual. Dentre os teóricos cujo aporte se torna o fio condutor do trabalho, Ottmar Ette (2001) é responsável por ajudar na leitura da transarealidade do espaço, na interpretação das coreografias realizadas pelas personagens e na investigação de rotas e fluxos cristalizados na Geografia e na Literatura. Franco Moretti (2008) traz seu olhar “de longe” e sua coragem de aproximar comparatistas literários da cartografia e de evidenciá-la como uma ferramenta importante. O geógrafo Eric Dardel (1990), relacionando o Homem com o espaço ao seu redor. O geógrafo Edward Soja (1993), questionando de forma crítica o espaço atual. Todas essas vozes se complementam, ressaltando a potência dos textos estudados e permitindo novas aproximações. / This dissertation seeks the dialogue between Geography and Literature through the study of two literary texts of the author Yoko Tawada. Considering the changes in mobility and the configuration of the world space throughout History to the present day, I analyze how this process emerges in the current Literature, more specifically in the texts Where Europe Begins (1991) and At the Spree (2007), in which the author Yoko Tawada (dis)places her characters on trips between East and West. In order to do so, I focus on each narrative individually, but also comparing them, taking into account the passage of time between one publication and the other. Space, in all its complexity of relationships, is the central object of study of Geography. It is also a relevant aspect in the studies of literary texts, since almost all narratives happen somewhere, real or fictitious. The theoretical support comes from different areas of knowledge, resulting in an interdisciplinary and intertextual analysis. However, it is important to highlight the theorists whose contribution became the guiding thread of this research. Thus, Ottmar Ette (2001) is responsible for helping to read the transareality of space, the interpretation of the choreography performed by the characters, and the investigation of routes and crystallized flows in Geography and Literature. Franco Moretti (2008) brings his "from afar" perspective and his courage to approach literary comparatists of cartography and to evidence it as an important tool. The geographer Eric Dardel (1990), relating Man with the space around him. The geographer Edward Soja (1993), critically questioning the current space. All these voices complement each other, highlighting the power of the texts studied and allowing new approaches.
