Les relations œcuméniques se cristallisent autour du ministère et un blocage semble avoir été atteint sur ce point. Depuis cinquante ans, les Églises luthériennes et réformées dialoguent au plan international avec l’Église catholique sur cette question et de nombreux rapports ont été édités. Cette étude analyse les convergences fortes, les légitimes différences et les divergences qui apparaissent dans ces dialogues au sujet de l’apostolicité de toute l’Église, de l’importance du sacerdoce commun des baptisés, de la nécessité d’un ministère ordonné au service de la prédication et de l’administration des sacrements, de l’importance constitutive pour l’Église d’un ministère d’episkopè en charge de veiller à sa fidélité à l’Évangile et à son unité au plan supra-local. Elle montre que le ministère n’est pas la question ultime mais révèle des enjeux ecclésiologiques fondamentaux qui apparaissent dans le lien entre communion eucharistique et communion ecclésiale, la structuration de l’Église sur le plan universel et son rapport aux Églises locales, la présence en plénitude de l’Église de Jésus-Christ dans une ou plusieurs Églises particulières. Elle pose des jalons de réflexion pour avancer vers une reconnaissance mutuelle des ministères qui, si elle n’est à l’ordre du jour, demeure encore possible. / Ecumenical relations tend to crystallize around the question of ministry, a subject on which current dialogue seems to be blocked. For fifty years, the Lutheran and Reformed Churches have been engaged in dialogue at the international level with the Roman Catholic Church on this question. Numerous reports have been produced. This study analyzes the strong convergences, the legitimate differences and the divergences which appear in these dialogues on the apostolicity of the Church, the importance of the common priesthood of the baptized, the necessity of a special ministry conferred by ordination for the service of preaching and administration of the sacraments and the essential importance for the Church of a ministry of episkopè to protect the integrity of the faith and preserve the unity of the church. The study demonstrates that ministry is not the ultimate question, but one that reveals fundamental ecclesiological issues which appear in the connection between eucharistic and ecclesial communion, the structuring of the Church on a universal level and its relationship with local Churches, the presence in fullness of the Church of Jesus Christ in one or several particular Churches. The study offers a reflexion which prepares the ground for moving forward to a mutual recognition of ministries which, although not currently on the agenda, nevertheless still remains possible.

Cette étude s’occupe des conflits de loyauté entre des évêques et rois en Gaule post-romaine. L’objectif principal de ce travail sont vingt études de cas (= « Teil II »), ayant pour but d’analyser des situations conflictuelles pendant les années entre 466 et 614 (ainsi couvrant les périodes wisigotique et mérovingienne). Les résultats de ces études de cas sont résumés et évalués dans la troisième partie de la thèse présente (« Teil III »). Contrairement à la recherche antérieure sur l’épiscopat tardo-antique et haut-médiéval, l’approche adoptée ici mit en exergue des situations dans lesquelles le pouvoir épiscopal a été challengé et – à l’occasion – rompu. D’un côté, l’examen les constellations spécifiques politiques et sociales qui engendraient les conflits étudiés s’est révélé particulièrement instructive (« Teil III », chapitre 1). De l’autre côté, l’analyse comparative de la manière dont les contemporains ont géré des situations de ce genre (il s’agissait toutefois des phénomènes assez fréquents) promet des perspectives nouvelles quant à la relation entre des rois et leur épiscopat (« Teil III », chapitre 1). / The present study focuses on loyalty conflicts between bishops and kings in post-roman Gaul. The main focus is on twenty case studies (= “Teil II”), aiming to analyze specific conflict situations during the years between 466 and 614 (hence covering the Visigothic and early Merovingian periods). The results of these case studies are summarized and evaluated in the third part (= “Teil III”) of this study. In contrast to previous research on the late antique and early medieval episcopate dealing with different aspects of episcopal authority, the adopted approach consciously looks at situations where episcopal power was challenged and sometimes broken. On the one hand, the question of what kind of political and social constellations did bring about the studied conflicts proved to be instructive (“Teil III”, chapter 1). On the other hand, looking at the way how contemporaries dealt with these situations (that were, after all, quite common phenomena) promises instructive insights into the relation between kings and their episcopate (III, 2).

La tesi si inserisce nell’ambito storiografico degli studi sulla Chiesa e sul cattolicesimo italiano, che ne considerano le vicende non come realtà estranee o periferiche rispetto alla società italiana nel suo complesso. Analizza il rapporto tra episcopato meridionale, Azione Cattolica Italiana e Democrazia Cristiana tra il 1948 ed il 1954, nel contesto di una società impegnata in una profonda trasformazione. La ricerca ricostruisce alcuni elementi specifici della storia del Mezzogiorno, come l’azione dei vescovi - in particolare con il nuovo corso avviato dalla nascita dell’assemblea dei presidenti delle regioni ecclesiastiche (la futura CEI) -, il ruolo dell’Aci e il progressivo radicamento della Dc nel Mezzogiorno. Ne emerge lo spaccato della progressiva presa di coscienza delle resistenze tipiche della società meridionale ai processi di modernizzazione religiosa, politica e sociale da parte di questi tre diversi soggetti e della loro azione convergente, malgrado differenze e contrasti per una profonda trasformazione del Mezzogiorno. / The thesis is part of historiographic studies Catholic Church and the Italian, who consider the story does not really matter or as compared to the outlying Italian society as a whole. Analyze the relationship between episcopate southern, Azione Cattolica Italiana and Democrazia Cristiana between 1948 and 1954, as part of a company engaged in a profound transformation. The research reconstructs some specific elements of the history of the Mezzogiorno, as the action of the bishops - especially with the new course launched by the birth of the Presidents of the regions of the church (the future CEI) -, the role of Aci and the progressive roots of the Dc in the South. It shows the split of the progressive awareness of resistance typical of southern society in the processes of modernization religious, political and social commitment on the part of these three different actors and their action convergent, despite differences and contrasts for a profound transformation of the South.

Estudio de la Biblioteca de los Obispos (Murcia) centrado en el origen, formación de la colección y su evolución histórica. A partir del análisis de la estructura del libro en el siglo XVI, se ha creado una metodología, basada en la norma ISBD (A), para proceder a la descripción de obras de este siglo. A su vez, se ha diseñado y creado una base de datos para la realización del catálogo. Los resultados han sido: catálogo de impresos del siglo XV (incunables) y del siglo XVI de esta biblioteca, índices de colaboradores, lugares de impresión, impresores y materias. / Study of the Library of the bishops of Murcia centered in the origin, formation of the collection and their historic evolution. Starting from the analysis of the structure of the book in the XVI century, a methodology has been created, based an opinion on the ISBD (A) norm, in order to proceed to the description of works of this century. To their time, it have been designed and created a base of data for the realization of the catalog. The outputs have been: catalog of forms of the XV century (incunabula) and of the XVI century of this library.

The Ecclesiastical History is the primary historical source of the Christian Church in the pre-Constantinian era. The History narrates the nature and work of Christ, the highlights of the apostolic age and the advancement of the Christian Church in the Roman Empire up to the principate of Constantine. Cette recherche est une réflexion au sujet des motifs pouvant être à l'origine du rôle de premier plan qu'eurent les monastères au Ve siècle. Ces derniers deviennent de véritables "pipiniéres" d'èvêques par excellence, et cela tout au long de cette période de trouble. Dês lors, nous avons tenté de déterminer quelle place occupaient les moines dans la structure ecclésiastique provençale, quel rôle jouaient-ils dans l'articulation des liens politicosociaux gaulois de même que pour la construction d'une autorité. C'est-à-dire, une notion fondamentale pour l'exercice du pouvoir sur les biens et sur les hommes par les évêques, consolidée au VIe siècle. De manière à développer cette recherche, nous sommes-nous appuyée sur une documentation de nature diverse, majoritairement originaire de la région de Provence, dans le Sud-Est de la Gaule. Les documents présentés ici furent originairement produits entre 390 et 470 ap. J.-C., période considérée comme l' "âge d'or" de l'Abbaye de Lérins et durant laquelle sont issus les plus grands évêques de toute La Gaule. Aussi, nous sommes-nous davantage concentrée sur la perspective du monachisme présentée et divulguée par l'un des principaux théoriciens du monachisme gaulois: Jean Cassien. Ainsi, ce travail peut-il prétendre avoir respecté le processus d'institutionnalisation du monachisme provençal, tel que Jean Cassien l'entendrait et tel qu'il fut développé au sein de l'abbatiale de Lérins. Un tel processus ne pourrait-être autrement vu comme une étape fondamentale et déterminante dans la consolidation de la fonction épiscopale / Resumo: O trabalho intitulado "Da institucionalização do monacato à 'monaquização' do episcopado na Provença de João Cassiano e dos lerinianos (séculos IV e V)" trata de uma das características do cristianismo da Gália: a emergência dos monges-bispos. Esta pesquisa foi norteada pela reflexão sobre os motivos que fizeram dos mosteiros os "viveiros de bispos" por excelência ao longo do conturbado século V. Com isso, procurou-se determinar o lugar ocupado pelos monges na estrutura eclesiástica provençal e o papel que desempenharam para a articulação dos vínculos político-sociais gauleses, bem como para a construção de uma noção de autoridade fundamental para o exercício do poder sobre bens e sobre homens por parte dos bispos, consolidado no século VI. Para desenvolver a pesquisa, contamos com uma documentação de natureza diversa, oriunda, em sua maioria, da região da Provença, no Sudeste da Gália. Os documentos aqui apresentados foram produzidos, fundamentalmente, entre 390 e 470 d.C, período este considerado a "era de ouro" da abadia de Lérins, de onde saíram os bispos mais importantes da Gália. Também nos concentramos na perspectiva de monaquismo apresentada e divulgada por um dos principais teóricos do monaquismo gaulês, João Cassiano. Assim, o trabalho diz respeito ao processo de institucionalização do monacato provençal, tal qual formulado por João Cassiano e realizado na abadia de Lérins. Tal processo é visto como a etapa fundamental e determinante para a consolidação da função episcopal / Abstract: The work entitled "From the institutionalization of the monasticism to the making of the "monachization" of the bishopric in John Cassian and the lerinians's Provence (fourth and fifth centuries)" portrays one of the features of Gaul's Christianity: the emerging of the monk-bishops. This research was directed by reflecting over the causes which turned the monasteries to "bishops' yards" of its highest degree during the unsettled fifth century. Hereupon it was sought to determine the position held by the monks in the Provençal clericalist structure and the role interpreted by them in the enunciating of the socialpolitical ties of the Gauls, as well as the formation of a notion concerning the fundamental authority to exercise power over lands and men from the bishop's part, which was consolidated in the sixth century. In order to develop this research, we relied on a varied source of documents, arising from, in its majority, from the Provence area, in the south of Gaul. The documents used here were ultimately produced in the period between 390 and 470 A.D., which was considered the "golden era" of the Lerins abbey, which was also the origin of the most important bishops of Gaul. In this research attention is also paid to the monkhood perspective presented and uncovered by one of the main theorists of the Gaulish monkhood, John Cassian. Therefore, this work concerns the process of institutionalization of the Provence monastic life, which was laid down by John Cassian and accomplished at Lerins abbey.
