Cette thèse a pour objet d’établir une édition critique et une traduction du Commentaire d’Eusèbe de Césarée de quatre psaumes parmi les psaumes d’Asaph : les psaumes 49, 72, 77 et 82. Elle s’intéresse également à l’apport de la tradition indirecte, et à son utilisation par l’éditeur du Commentaire. Le Commentaire sur les Psaumes d’Eusèbe de Césarée est transmis, pour presque un tiers de l’ouvrage, en tradition directe, par le manuscrit Coislin 44. Pour le premier et le dernier tiers, la tradition directe fait défaut, et le Commentaire doit être reconstitué à l’aide de la tradition indirecte : les chaînes exégétiques sur le Psautier. Nous étudions, dans ce travail, le texte transmis par la première chaîne palestinienne et le texte transmis par la chaîne de Nicétas, et le confrontons, lorsque c’est possible, au texte transmis par le Coislin 44. Il ressort de cette étude que la première chaîne palestinienne transmet de longs fragments littéraux, susceptibles d’être utilisés par l’éditeur pour pallier la perte du texte en tradition directe (elle ne transmet toutefois pas le texte dans son intégralité). Elle permet également d’améliorer le texte de la tradition directe. L’apport des chaînes filles de la première chaîne palestinienne est de qualité inégale. Le nombre de fragments transmis, leur longueur et leur intérêt pour l’éditeur varient considérablement d’un manuscrit à l’autre. Enfin, l’utilisation de la chaîne de Nicétas reste délicate. Son utilisation ponctuelle reste possible, et parfois utile, mais la chaîne de Nicétas, seule, ne permet pas la reconstitution du texte perdu du Commentaire. / The purpose of this dissertation is to establish a critical edition and a translation of Eusebius of Caesarea’s Commentary on four of the Psalms of Asaph: the psalms 49, 72, 77 and 82. This dissertation also studies the contribution of the indirect tradition, and its use by the editor of the Commentary. Eusebius of Caesarea’s Commentary on the Psalms is transmitted, for almost a third of the book, by the direct tradition: the manuscript Coislin 44. The direct tradition is lacking for the first and last thirds, and the Commentary has to be edited using the indirect tradition: the exegetical catenae on the Psalms. We study, in this dissertation, the text transmitted by the first Palestinian catena and the text transmitted by Niceta’s catena, and we confront it, when it’s possible, to the text transmitted by the Coislin 44. This study shows that the first Palestinian catena transmits extended literal fragments. The editor can use these fragments to compensate the lack of the text in the direct tradition (but this catena doesn’t transmit the full text). The first Palestinian catena also improves the text of the direct tradition. The contribution of the catenae derived from the first Palestinian catena is of variable quality. The number of fragments transmitted, their length and their relevance for the editor vary considerably from one manuscript to another. Finally, the use of Niceta’s catena is quite difficult. Its use remains possible, and sometimes useful, but the only use of the Niceta’s catena doesn’t enable to edit the missing text of the Commentary.

Den här uppsatsen består av en översättning från japanska till svenska av Yasutaka Tsutsuis Toki wo kakeru shoujo (Flickan som hoppade genom tiden) och en kommentar av översättningsprocessen. Syftet är att undersöka vilka problem som kan uppstå vid översättningen av anföring, interpunktion och interjektioner samt vilka strategier som kan tillämpas för att lösa dessa problem. Översättningen framställs med ett acceptansinriktat, målkultursorienterat förhållningssätt för att anpassa texten till de normer och förväntningar som är rådande i målkulturen. / This master’s thesis consists of a translation from Japanese to Swedish of Yasutaka Tsutsui’s Toki wo kakeru shoujo (The girl who leapt through time), and a commentary of the translation process. The purpose is to examine which problems may arise when translating reported discourse, punctuation and interjections, and what strategies can be used to solve these problems. The translation is performed with an orientation towards acceptability and the target culture, to try and conform the text to the norms and expectations of the target culture.

The aim of this diploma thesis is the introduction of the poetics in the work of the contemporary Bulgarian writer Dejan Enev (*1960), who is mainly writing short stories. Enev is an almost unknown author in the Czech milieu (only these short stories were published in a Czech translation: Little Bulgarian from Alaska, Българи 2011; Niki- Nikola, Casablanca and How to write haiku, Plav 2014/č.1; Little town Mendocino from the book Which way the wind is blowing. Anthology of short stories from Southeast Europe. Praha: Univerzita Karlova, 2016, s. 38-43). He was awarded several international prizes in foreign countries and his stories were translated into several foreign languages (he achieved a great success e.g. in Austria where Zirkus Bulgarien, Geschichten für eine Zigarettenlänge. Wien: Zsolnay Verlag, 2008; was published in German. His books were also published in the United Kingdom and Norway. In his works Dejan Enev is close to the most famous classical writers of Bulgarian short stories (e.g. to Jordan Jovkov), as well as to writers of this genre in world literature (he endorses himself to the legacy of Isaak Babel or Jerome David Salinger). In the context of Bulgarian literature he is considered as the leading successor of the home storytelling tradition in the field of short fiction...

The thesis reflects historical context and context of Růžena Jesenská's artworks, relates selected texts to significant artistic texts by Růžena Jesenská (Mimo svět, Z nepřístupných zahrad etc.)

This diploma thesis deals with football television commentary since 1970s to present days. In theoretical part it examines its development and two crucial domestic representatives of this genre - Vít Holubec and Jaromír Bosák. The greatest emphasis is placed on verbal chracteristics of their commentary and usage of language means. That is the reason why this diploma thesis also contains Czech language theory that sums up the specifics of football commentary and explains them on actual examples. The practical part contains detailed analysis of four selected football matches. The aim of this work is to compare TV football commentary from 1970s, 1980s and 1990s with its current conception through comparative language analysis.

The thesis discusses the life and work of the leading Czech biblicist, the orientalists and the pedagogue of the Czech Theological Faculty of Charles-Ferdinand University in Prague, Jaroslav Sedláček (1860-1925). The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is contained in Chapter 1 and presents a critical biography of Jaroslav Sedláček in five time segments: 1.1. Childhood and Studies (1860-1889), 1.2. Work in the Spiritual Administration (1881-1925), 1.3. Pedagogical Activity at the Czech Theological Faculty (1891-1924), 1.4. Travels Abroad and Foreign Conferences (1888-1904), 1.5. Final Stages of Life (1924- 1925). The second part is contained in Chapter 2 entitled The Work of Jaroslav Sedláček which is divided into two subchapters: 2.1. introduces Sedláček's bibliography as a whole and 2.2. divides Sedláček's work by thematic perspective in chronological order. The final part contains the list of Sedláček's bibliography. The thesis tries to present a basis for valorization of the work and to evaluate its contribution to the Czech Old Testament biblical theology.

This study uncovers how and to what extent UK sports commentaries vary in terms of speech variations and other sociolinguistic factors, such as social class and gender, in relation to the social status with which different sports are associated. It also analyses how the use of jargon, slang, colloquial forms of English, and other linguistic features are incorporated in the commentaries of the sports and how it affects the information expressed by the commentators. In order to do this, theories and scholarly work on variations in speech, phonological and sociolinguistic features will be applied to examples of recorded commentaries made during matches in five popular televised sports, namely football, cricket, rugby union, netball, and tennis. The primary data will consist of two-minute transcriptions made from matches from each sport. The study finds that there are speech variations in the commentators’ ways and that they relate, to some extent, to the social class associated with the sport which the commentators are commenting on. The variations also depend on the commentator’s role in the broadcast, whether or not they feature as the general commentator or as an expert in the particular sport. It also reveals how commentators rely on the use of jargon, slang and, colloquialisms to make the communication to the spectators/listeners efficient and entertaining.
