La problématique de la gestion du culte musulman en france / the management of the muslim worship(cult) in france

Nouiouar, Youssef 16 November 2017 (has links)
“The Muslim issue” stands in the very centre of the public debate in France. Studies andexpert reports are more and more numerous as a response to the academic interest and politicaldemand. It is to be noted that this issue is often studiedin relation to a given social or political reality, namely the surroundings areas of the Islamic creed, the status of women within the Muslim Faith, secularism and Muslim Faith and the issue of religious freedom, religious extremism, how to be aMuslim in France…Few research works however have considered the managing issue of theMuslim Faith in France.Scanning the still ongoing secularisation process of the Muslim creed inFrance , our research work deals with and draws a distinction on two closely linked different trendsconcerning how the Muslim Faith is organised :a mobilisation “from the higher levels of theMuslim society” backed by political and security considerations in combination with a “lowerlevels” originated mobilisation of the Muslim leadership to respondto the needs for religious dutiesand the necessary cultural transmission towards the newer generations. The interactions at playwithin the Muslim cult places and the officials organising the Muslim creed in France , thecontestfor the leadership of the Muslim standing ,the patterns of organizing and gathering funds forthe mosques, the meaning given to their dealings by the Muslim leaders , those are the manyquestions purporting to our attempt at decoding the situation. Thus the gist of our study focusesupon some topical issues concerning namely§ Muslim ranking officials and the different faces of the imam profession in France.§ the managing of the mosques and Muslim cultural associations as they are a meeting pointof the Muslims’ interests and the active political players’.§ finally the part played by the French State and the states subject to Muslim immigration inthis managing. The research spectrum is widespread and deals with several incidental issues, each of thesecould valuably lead to separate studies. We are facing a vast project which implies the engagementof several human and financial resources as well as the involvement of several research units for along duration. We are deeply aware that our study is an attempt to give a general view of the managingorganisation as regards the Muslim cult in France and the trends that are at play at the beginning ofthe 21st century.

Juventudes e imagens na revista Vogue Brasil (2000-2001)

Novelli, Daniela 27 February 2009 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-08T16:59:58Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 DANI.pdf: 5483514 bytes, checksum: 22ca7fada44c309eb83fd2820433017d (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-02-27 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research looked to check how publicity announcements of five national marks, at the magazine Vogue Brazil , in the period from 2000 to 2001, explored cultural concepts associated to the youth now a days, through the notion of 'youth s cult', when it was thought as a social producing category of senses in the century XX. Methodological-theoretical notes demonstrated that this notion is built historically and operated by the publicity, being the body place of signification and subjetivation of this category. Through discussions of the youth s papers to the appearance of a new contemporary social ethos, the young creators fashion and the consecration of an youth s aesthetics, we noted that images are key pieces for the youth s cult. These were considered as products and historical agents at the same time, since they allowed the establishment of a bridge for the historical context in study and for the relations established in our current society. The publications were analysed methodologicaly in his set, qualitative and quantitatively, being the magazine treated historically and considered as fountain and object of this research, therefore the analyses of his materiality and his content made possible valuable discoveries on connections of the magazine with the target readers, through the increase in value of a concept strongly supported by the vanguard, by the pleasure in the urbane and daily life, for the novelty, the glamour, the fashion in the cultural Brazilian context, the excellence of the collaborators and the high publishing quality of the presented matters. In this context, the next aspects associated to the youth were identified in more than forty announcements: fashion, daring, exhibition of the body, sensuality without prejudices, authentic casualness, adventure, emotional pleasure, extreme contrasts, amusement, mystery, fantasy, irony and attitude. Methodologies of analysis and interpretation of publicity images by three important authors were applied in the announcements of the marks H.Stern, Zoomp, Sagena, Reinaldo Lourenço and Freixenet: the rhetoric of the connotation of Roland Barthes, the visual message of Martine Joly and the poetics of having of Georges Péninou. The results pointed to the positivation, affirmation and increase in value of a great deal of the aspects quoted previously. Fact that proved the strength of the youth s cult in the analysed period, being operated so much in the announcements analysed all that in the set of the corpus of the research / Esta pesquisa buscou verificar como anúncios publicitários de cinco marcas nacionais, veiculados na revista Vogue Brasil , no período de 2000 a 2001, exploraram conceitos socioculturais associados às juventudes na contemporaneidade, através da noção de juvenilização , considerada como uma categoria social produtora de sentidos no século XX.

Soares, Mariana Baierle January 2012 (has links)
In contemporary cultural journalism there are few specialized vehicles maintained for a long period of time in the Brazilian market. Magazines like Bravo!, from Abril Publishing, and Cult, from Bregantini Publishing, with more than 14 years of history, can be considered exceptions in this scenario. Both were founded in 1997 and continue nowadays – with the goal of national coverage and circulation. Within its literature-related coverage, Poetry is situated as one of the main genres. Therefore, I try to investigate the recurrence of the subject of Poetry in the coverage of those two publications. My research problem investigated is thus: what is the recurrence of the subject of Poetry on Bravo! and Cult magazines? I perform this work by mapping the frequency and recurrence of Poetry at the two vehicles from 1997 to 2010. As a result, I identified 198 references about the subject on Bravo! and 397 on Cult. I noticed also a decrease of the room given to Poetry in those magazines over the years. In this study, I seek to understand the context in which this happens through a critical and reflective perspective. I consider both the journalism market in which this occurs and the analysis of the texts about the subject of Poetry.

Foundation, splendour, and collapse of the San Miguel de Piura church (1534- 1578), the first catholic church of Peru / Fundación, esplendor y colapso de la iglesia de San Miguel de Piura (1534-1578), primer templo del Perú

Astuhuamán Gonzáles, César W. 10 April 2018 (has links)
The aim of this research is to analyze the imperial infrastructure and institutions developed by the Inca and Spaniards to control and administer the Piura Region through the major center of Piura La Vieja (or San Miguel de Piura). This study leads with two main questions: What were the functions of the institutional buildings at Piura La Vieja, and how did these functions change from the pre-Hispanic to Transitional Colonial periods? To answer these questions, I developed a methodology to concede the limited documentary sources and surviving archaeological evidence. The Spaniards established San Miguel de Piura in 1534 and according to early documentary sources, a Catholic church was built circa 1539, which operated until 1578. During the 2005, 2008 and 2011, field seasons at Piura La Vieja we identified and excavated a structure to the south of the central plaza, oriented from North-West to South-East. The structure was identified and recorded as the architectural remains of a church, including an atrium, main entrance, tower, outer wall, altar, and sacristy. This church was built over a pre-existing pre-Hispanic building which followed a different axial orientation. The church of San Miguel de Piura is significant in that it is the only surviving building of the first seven churches built in Peru before 1540.This article is organized in five parts: the first is dedicated to explore the pre-Hispanic Period (1800 a.C.-1532 d.C.), the second to the Spanish establishment of San Miguel de Piura, the third to the brief rise of San Miguel, the fourth to the collapse of the site. Finally, some preliminary conclusions and directions for further research are presented.

O tratamento da variação linguística em livros didáticos - estudos de caso do português culto / The treatment of linguistic variation in textbooks case studies in erudite Portuguese.

Gláucia da Silva Lobo Menezes 24 June 2014 (has links)
Pretende-se discutir se os livros didáticos incorporaram as pesquisas recentes, promovendo a sistematização e reflexão dos aspectos gramaticais em variação no português culto brasileiro / The main goal of this dissertation is to discuss the treatment of linguistic variation in didactic books, related to two aspects of the pronominal system of writen and spoken standard Brazilian Portuguese. The first aspect refers to the variable use of the pronominal forms você/vocês and a gente, in subject position; the second one to the strategies that alternates with the forms o, a, os, as accusative second and third person clitics. The didactic books that constitute our corpus are part of the two collections Tudo é Linguagem, by Borgatto, Bertin e Marchezi (2010), and Gramática Reflexiva, by Cereja e Magalhães (2008), from the 6th to the 9th grades of the Middle School (Ensino Fundamental), and adopted in private schools. We adopetd the ideas and the theorectical concepts formulated in the Theory of Linguistic Variation and Change (Labov 1972, 2001) and in the Theory of Principles and Parameters, under the perspective of competing grammars (Kroch, 1989, 2001). We also based our discussion of linguistic variation on the guidelines found in the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN, 1998), and in the results of recent quantitative studies. Moreover, it will be checked whether the diversity of textual gender contributes to the systematization of the variants that characterize the linguistic variation in Brazilian Portuguese

Reconfiguring the universe : the contest for time and space in the Roman imperial cults and 1 Peter

Wan, Wei Hsien January 2016 (has links)
Evaluations of the stance of 1 Peter toward the Roman Empire have for the most part concluded that its author adopted a submissive or conformist posture toward imperial authority and influence. Recently, however, David Horrell and Travis Williams have argued that the letter engages in a subtle, calculated (“polite”) form of resistance to Rome that has often gone undetected. Nevertheless, discussion of the matter has remained largely focused on the letter’s stance toward specific Roman institutions, such as the emperor, household structures, and the imperial cults. Taking the conversation beyond these confines, the present work examines 1 Peter’s critique of the Empire from a wider angle, looking instead to the letter’s ideology or worldview. Using James Scott’s work to think about ideological resistance against domination, I consider how the imperial cults of Anatolia and 1 Peter offered distinct constructions of time and space—that is, how they envisioned reality differently. Insofar as these differences led to divergent ways of conceiving the social order, they acquired political valences and generated potential for conflict. 1 Peter, I argue, confronted Rome on a cosmic scale with its alternative construal of time and space. For each of the axes of time and space, I first investigate how it was constructed in cultic veneration of the emperor, and then read 1 Peter comparatively in light of the findings. Although both sides employed similar strategies in conceptualizing time and space, they parted ways on fundamental points. We have evidence that the Petrine author consciously, if cautiously, interrogated the imperial imagination at its most foundational levels, and set forth in its place a theocentric, Christological understanding of the world.

The Pantheon war : symbolic affrontments in southern France from Munich to Liberation

Vassakos, Richard 12 December 2015 (has links)
Les enlèvements de monuments républicains sont aussi évoqués ainsi que les affrontements mémoriels qui surgissent à la Libération / Urban toponymy, or to be more accurate, odonymy as a subject of history is a tool, particularly relevant in the understanding of the former ways of thinking, representations and behaviours. The analysis of the urban naming establishment both in synchrony and diachrony allows to observe the political and memory-linked concerns at stake, focusing on this medium. The purpose of this study is to highlight the consequences of the political and symbolic confrontations around the corpus of urban namings within Southern France during World War II, especially under the regime of Vichy. The area of the study in question corresponds to the southern part of what was named the Realm of the Marshall, that is to say the 30 departments of the free zone. The chronological markers stretch from the 1938 Munich Conference to the 1948 Coup of Prague, going through the Liberation. Collecting and analysing the decisions of urban naming modifications aims at estimating the diffusion of the National Revolution ideology through the daily and permanent tool that is the blue street plate. The removals of republican monuments are also mentioned as well as the memory-linked confrontations that emerged at the Liberation.

An investigation for possible parallels of the Roman imperial cult (Caesar-Nero) in the New Testament book of Hebrews

Chivington, Ryan D 19 November 2007 (has links)
This thesis is an investigation of possible significant parallels of the Roman imperial cult (Caesar-Nero) in the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews was no doubt greatly impacted by Jewish influence, context, and background. Yet there may be other significant influences that have formed the New Testament book of Hebrews. One such possible influence to the book of Hebrews is the Roman Empire, and more specifically, the Roman imperial cult, the worship of living Roman emperors in god-like terms and the deification of dead emperors. The writer of Hebrews may have used language, forms, and images of the Roman ruler cult to contrast, compare, or clarify their theology and interpretation of Jesus and God. There is the possibility of correspondences between worship of the Roman emperors and the book of Hebrews. Are there significant parallels of the worship of the Caesars to God in the book of Hebrews? Did the writer of Hebrews use illusions, motifs, and images of the Roman emperor cult in parallel to Jesus Christ? Is the Roman imperial cult influence portrayed in the book of Hebrews? If yes, how and to what degree are they portrayed? If no, what are some of the divergences? This thesis attempts to answer these questions in an investigation for possible parallels of the Roman imperial cult (Caesar-Nero) in the New Testament book of Hebrews. I hypothesize there are significant parallels of the Roman imperial cult (Caesar-Nero) in the book of Hebrews. Through my findings I conclude that parallels with words and images on a broad level do exist, but discovery of significant parallels of direct influence were lacking. The parallels between Hebrews and the Roman imperial cult were more likely due to common sources, cultural settings, or universal ideas. The three strongest parallels of the emperor cult (Caesar-Nero) in the book of Hebrews were: divine sonship, enthronement after death, and benefaction. These parallels in combination with the weaker ones do not constitute significant parallelism. The Roman emperor cult does not appear to be a major influence which produced significant parallel for material contained in the book of Hebrews. / Dissertation (MTh (New Testament Studies))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / New Testament Studies / MTh / unrestricted

Embodying the Virgin: The Physical Materialization of the Cult of Mary in Late Antique Egypt (Fifth-Ninth Centuries CE)

Higgins, Sabrina January 2015 (has links)
This is a study of the physical manifestation of the cult of the Virgin Mary in Late Antique Egypt, that is, of the point at which Marian veneration, which scholars generally agree coalesced in the fifth century, spilled over into the physical sphere. Three diverging source materials (papyri/inscriptions, archaeology and iconography) are explored in order to answer the central question, which asks: to what extent does the evidence for the physical materialization of the cult of Mary reflect its geographical and chronological diffusion in Late Antique Egypt? Each of the sources materials are collected and analyzed in an independent chapter. The study begins with the papyrological/epigraphical evidence, as it represents the largest body of materials and offers the most substantial datable evidence. Although the papyri and inscriptions are not themselves tangible manifestations of the cult of Mary, they nevertheless mention at least 23 churches or monasteries that were dedicated to her. In Chapter 2, the extant archaeological evidence supplements the data collected in the textual materials by providing an analysis of the layout and iconographical programmes of the few churches of Mary that are actually preserved. Chapter 3 collects 43 wall paintings that depict Mary and analyzes their varying iconographic patterns and immediate spatial contexts. The individual source materials are then brought together for a broader geographical and chronological investigation, which demonstrates that despite the assumed presence of a cult of Mary by the fifth century, this was only the starting point for the consolidation and diffusion of her cult, which reached its peak in the sixth and, especially, the seventh century. This study is the first synthesis of the physical output of the cult of Mary in Late Antique Egypt and thus advances our knowledge of her integration into the society of Christian Egypt on both the chronological and topographical axes. As such, it is also of importance to studies of her cult elsewhere in the Late Antique world, where sources may not be as plentiful and varied.
