Genusperspektiv vid högläsning : Fyra pedagogers erfarenheter

Söderhäll, Julia January 2011 (has links)
This study is conducted from qualitative research with interviews as a basis, where I have interviewed four teachers from elementary school’s early ages (year 1-3). The aim is to highlight the teacher’s perspectives and experiences of reading aloud, and how they connect the activity to gender. The questions at issue that have been answered in this paper are how the teacher’s reflect to gender and reading aloud in a school environment; do the teacher’s reflect over the gender perspective when choosing reading aloud literature? When reading aloud, which attributes are important to highlight for girls and boys according to the teachers? Which books do the teachers consider "good" gender literature? The paper is based on the theoretical grounds of social constructivism, gender as construction, gender conscious pedagogy and reading aloud. In previous research the focal point has been Kåreland’s study on gender in literature in pre-school, and on how children are being portrayed in children’s literature today, from a gender perspective. The teacher’s that have been interviewed in this study all agreed on the fact that reading aloud is a very important part of education and are used by most teachers on a daily basis. The teacher’s apply the gender perspective on the choices of reading aloud literature to some extent. Another aspect, such as which theme the class is focusing on at the moment, often precedes the gender aspect. The teacher’s were unanimous that there are attributes that should be highlighted for both boys and girls in the classes, and that this can be done through literature. Attributes the teachers believe boys need to develop are, vulnerability, care and emotions, while the girls need to get a chance to develop courage and strength.

Microphone Transitions as a Gestural Practice in Dyadic Television Interviews

Ponomareva, Yulia January 2011 (has links)
The main purpose of this research is to discuss the specificity of the microphone as a gestural tool through which the sequence organization of media two-party interviews is accomplished. The study focuses on the practical communicative problems of microphone operations in a media setting where the parties have alternating turns, and addresses the question of who of the participants speaks next and for how long. It is particularly concerned with investigating what the participating parties can do with the microphone, what it accomplishes, and how it is used as a tool for interaction with an audience. We particularly focus on how microphone moves can make use see how how people orient to emergent content structures in talk, and how microphone performs as a device for confirmation of verbal turns.

Vem får ordet? : En studie av genus och eliter i Debatts webb-program Eftersnack / Who gets the word? : A study of gender and elites in Debatt's Web Application Eftersnack

Pending, Lina, Östling, Maria January 2010 (has links)
Sammanfattningsvis fick manliga elitpersoner mest utrymme i programmet. Frågorna som vi analyserade skilde sig mellan könen och statusgrupperna. Männen och elitpersonerna fick korta och mer kritiska frågor medan kvinnorna och personer från allmänheten fick öppnare och mer vaga frågor. / The purpose of this study was to see which type of persons that got to be heard in the web broadcast of the debate show Eftersnack. We divided the participants into four different groups; women, men, elite persons and members of the public. We also wanted to analyse if there were any differences in the questions asked to the different groups. In the 15 episodes we chose to analyse we found that 60 percent of the participants in the show were men. The elite persons were given more space and time than members of the public. Thus, elite men got most time to say what they wanted to say. We also found that the questions differed depending on who was asked. Men and elite persons had to answer shorter and more critical questions while the women and members of the public were given vague and open questions that were easier to answer.

Journalisters val av källor : En kvalitativ studie av yrkesvardagen / Journalists' choices of sources : A qualitative study of the workdays

Kjellström, Sandra, Johnsson, Philip January 2014 (has links)
In this study we have investigated how local journalists in Kalmar think when they choose their sources to interview. We have also studied several factors that can affect their choices of sources. We have interviewed eight news journalists from the two largest local news papers Barometern and Östran in Kalmar. The journalists were asked about the sources they often use as interview objects. They were supposed to tell about how they think when choosing sources and define which sources they commonly use. There are different factors that can affect the choices and we have narrowed them down to ethics, source critics, credibility, stress, hard production conditions, public and their own interest and if they consider themselves to be individualistic or controlled by the news desks. Furthermore the journalists were asked to characterize what changes they would make when choosing sources in a perfect world. All of the journalists had not reflected prominently on the subject of sources before our research. But most of them could perceive different views. Hence the study became essential for them as well as us. We found various perspectives very interesting. For instance the interviews showed that the journalists frequently use the same sources on account of the limitation of time and number of sources in Kalmar. There is a lack of using intimidating sources which opinions the journalists do not agree with. The personal network of sources is crucial to the reporter in finding important information and relevant interview objects. The reporters in our research are more individualistic than controlled by the news desks. However the news bosses may affect their choices of sources by telling them which sources are credible and worthy to fit in the news papers. Sometimes they even arrange interviews with sources. The journalists seek within themselves to find out what the readers may be interested in. But captivatingly they cannot know for sure what the public will appreciate to read.

Användandet av mobila enheter med appsystem och appars fackmannamässiga potential inom byggbranshen

Åström, Joakim January 2014 (has links)
Mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones are quite common in this day. The author of this thesis wanted to know how common these mobile devices are in the building industry and how they are used and what potential an app could have. The author thus conducted an investigation on this matter, mainly in the form of interviews. Answers given by the interviews were then used as a basis to survey the usage of mobile devices and the usage of different kinds of apps. An investigation of different apps with the potential to be used by professionals in the building industry has been carried through. Apps which manage such things as scanning documents, measuring distances and handle communication. A further more advanced study of a floor plan making app, called MagicPlan has also been done. The equipment that were used were Samsung Galaxy S2, Apple iPad , Samsung Note 10.1 Tablet, Leica Disto, Leica Scanstation C10, Canon Pixma MP270. The results of the examination show that the usages of mobile devices are widely spread in the building industry, however, seldom to its full potential. The results also indicates that the tested apps likely can be used by professionals in some cases.

Barnens delaktighet och inflytande i förskolan : En litteraturstudie på en del av läroplanen för förskolan och pedagogers syn på barnens delaktighet och inflytande / Children’s participation and influence in preschool : A literature review on part of  preschool curriculum and educators’ view on children’s participation and influence

Väätäjä, Malin January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to describe and understand how children’s participation and influence is described in the curriculum of preschool. The purpose includes how educators perceive, working with and what opportunities and challenges they believe that there is in the process of participation and influence. The methods I used were qualitative text analysis and e-mail interviews. I studied text in the curriculum and interviewed four educators to find out their views on children's participation and influence. The results show that the curriculum states that it is important that children engage in cooperation, decision making and taking responsibility for their rights and obligations. Educators believe that it is important to take care of children's ideas, thoughts, and they will be listened to. Based on what emerges from the children, they want to continue working to increase participation and influence. They believe that a permissive environment creates a feeling of importance among children. As problems, they mention that younger children's perspectives are not taken in to consideration, large groups of children, different views among educators about participation and influence, and that it’s difficult to meet all the children's interests and needs.

Söhr-Hertz, Kim, Kristoffersson, Lisa January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine how two different primary schools with the same school management district work with daily physical activity. We have chosen to conduct our investigation based on interviews. Through the interviews, we can highlight the teacher´s and principal´s interpretations of the concept regarding physical activity and find out the school´s arguments and working methods for pupil´s physical activity. These two schools work with physical activity in two different ways and the study describes the teacher´s and principal's choice of approach. Since our training is directed towards the younger ages, school years 1-3, we chose to interview teachers who work in these classes. It is also at a young age that teachers can influence pupil´s to adopt a healthy life style. Our results show that the individual teacher's own attitude can be reflected in the lesson planning. The teacher´s we interviewed felt that the breaks and activities encouraged students to be physically active. Trends we saw in the collection of our empirical data are that teacher´s want to be able to plan more physical activity but that they feel the pressure for all pupil´s to achieve the learning outcomes. Our results show that there might be a concern among teacher´s about the concept of physical activity and what it means.
