No. of bitstreams: 1 AndreaRFCC_DISSERT.pdf: 966874 bytes, checksum: 4a494f41cad19a696f497f2af8e7932d (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-01-29 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / The use of saline water in agriculture has increased in the Northeast due to low availability of good quality water for irrigated agriculture, being the selection of tolerant hybrids to salinity and the use of fertilization nitrogen, an alternative to avoid losses of income and reduce the effect of salinity on nutritional status of plants. So, the objective this work was evaluate the production, the grow and the absorption of cultivars of watermelon under different salinities of irrigation water and doses of nitrogen applied by fertigation in the region of Mossoró in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. The treatments studied consisted of applying irrigation water with five electrical conductivities (CE1 = 0,57, CE2 = 1,36, CE3 = 2,77, CE4 = 3,86 and CE5 = 4.91 dS m-1) and three doses of N (48, 96 and 144 kg ha-1), arranged in factorial scheme 5x3 and randomized in blocks design with four replications. It was evaluated the growth and the accumulated nutrient contents in plants of two cultivars of watermelon and the productivity and its components and the fruit quality of three cultivars of watermelon. Data were subjected to regression analysis to the salinity factor and for the factor nitrogen the averages were compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. The accumulation of nutrients studied in watermelon plants irrigated with water of lower electrical conductivity occurred in the following order: K>N>P. The nutrients were affected by CEa there is a loss for higher CEa of 35,8% and 29,1 % in the absorption of P and K respectively and of 94,5% in the absorption of N to Shadow and Quetzali cultivars. The highest values of productivity and its components were obtained with water of lower electrical conductivity. There wasn´t significant effect of nitrogen doses in the productivity of Shadow and Quetzali cultivars, while the Leopard cultivar presented commercial and total productivity and number of commercial fruits larger for the dose of nitrogen N2. The average mass of fruits e the number of fruits influenced the loss of income of production of watermelon cultivars studied. The nitrogen doses didn´t influence the soluble solids content in the watermelon cultivars studied. Only the Shadow cultivar responded to the effect of electrical conductivity of irrigation water on the soluble solids of the fruits.

Etude du rôle de la cytokine thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) produite par les keratinocytes dans la marche atopique / Study of the role of the thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in the atopic march

Leyva Castillo, Juan Manuel 24 September 2012 (has links)
Atopic march refers to the natural history of allergic diseases, which is characterized by a typical sequence of sensitization and manifestation of symptoms in different tissues. Commonly, the clinical manifestation of atopic dermatitis (AD) appears in the early life and precedes the development of airway allergic diseases. AD has been proposed as an entry point for subsequent atopic diseases. The objective of my thesis was to better understand the role of TSLP in the atopic march and the cascade events initiated by TSLP in vivo in the development of AD. To reach my thesis objectives we used mouse models of atopic diseases in combination with various deficient-mouse lines. In the first part of this work, using a atopic march mouse model developed during my PhD work, we demonstrated that keratinocytic TSLP is essentially required not only for the development of allergic skin inflammation, but also for the generation of the allergen-specific immune response. In the second part of this work, using a cytokine TSLP-induced AD mouse model (topical MC903 treatment), we demonstrated that skin TSLP induces an early innate recruitment of basophils in the skin, followed by a late recruitment involving adaptive immunity. In addition, we demonstrate that TSLP-induced Th2 response requires an orchestrated cooperation of dendritic cells, CD4+ T cells and basophils. This work provide new knowledge in the cellular and molecular mechanisms implicated in atopic diseases involving TSLP and should provide new insight for the development of therapeutic options of these diseases.

Rousseau: dialética e teleologia / Rousseau: dialectic and teleology

Maira de Cinque Pereira da Costa 26 May 2017 (has links)
This essay aims to show that Rousseau formulates, through his writings, specially in his Discourses, Social Contract and Emile, a Philosophy of History, depicting a dialectic movement and the idea of an ultimate goal or sense for the unraveling of humanity\'s events. The succession of all the events that binds an untouched by social iniquities human nature to its destiny - that Rousseau wants to name history - would bring in its bowels the possibility of moral progress, con-substantiated on the return of a natural order. As in which, facing the spectacle and appearances of his time, Rousseau leans back to this natural man; he also builds an expectation for a reconciliation for man with itself and with nature, playing the State, in the terms laid by the Social Contract, a fundamental role for this to happen. Finally, it is intended to develop the idea that, from a notion of history as a march of nature, engendering the means for human emancipation, Rousseau leans towards the religious thinking, producing in his philosophy of history, a theodicy.

L'indemnisation des dommages causés par les infections nosocomiales / Indemnification of the damages due to nosocomial infections

Mascrier, Isabelle 15 January 2014 (has links)
Nosocomial infections are infections acquired during a stay in a health care institution. From the sanitary safety point of view, they are defined by the prevention principle and the precautionary principle. According to the French law, the nosocomial infections have long been compensated by a case law. Nowadays, this compensation system is based on the principle of liability without fault laid down by the law of the 4th of March 2002. However, the reluctance of the insurers to assume this compensation led to the adoption of a new system resulting from the law of the 30th of December 2002. Because of these successive laws, the compensation mechanism for the damages due to nosocomial infections has been made more complex and ambiguous. This observation stems from the lack of a legal definition of the nosocomial infection, an essential tool for ensuring the sustainability of the compensation system for the damages caused by these infections

Prinz-Eugen-Marsch, Partitur

Buike, Bruno Antonio January 2010 (has links)
On the melody of "Prince Eugene, the wright honourable knight" in the Battle of Belgrad 1717 as preserved in "Musikalische Rüstkammer auf die Harffe", Lipsiae, started in 1719, but there an APPENDIX from estimated only around 1800, a doublette of which as single sheet of unknown origin is in Museum for Army History, Vienna. Musical treatment is NOT following Prussian-German traditions - but "k.u.k. Austrian-Hungarian" traditions of socalled "(Military) Banda" with some "Italienita" in it. This work has been accepted by today Austrian Army, Military Music Branch and complete paper-editions are additionally avaiable in National Szechenyi Library, Budapest and in German National Library. For the reason of content-protection, single voices pack is missing here.

"It is a new kind of militancy": March on Washington Movement, 1941-1946

Lucander, David 01 May 2010 (has links)
This study of the March on Washington Movement (MOWM) investigates the operations of the national office and examines its interactions with local branches, particularly in St. Louis. As the organization's president, A. Philip Randolph and members of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters (BSCP) such as Benjamin McLaurin and T.D. McNeal are important figures in this story. African American women such as Layle Lane, E. Pauline Myers, and Anna Arnold Hedgeman ran MOWM's national office. Of particular importance to this study is Myers' tenure as executive secretary. Working out of Harlem, she corresponded with MOWM's twenty-six local chapters, spending considerable time espousing the rationale and ideology of Non-Violent Goodwill Direct Action, a trademark protest technique developed and implemented alongside Fellowship of Reconciliation members Bayard Rustin and James Farmer. As a nationally recognized African American protest organization fighting for a "Double V" against fascism and racism during the Second World War, MOWM accrued political capital by the agitation of its local affiliates. In some cases, like in Washington, D.C., volunteers lacked the ability to forge effective protests. In St. Louis, however, BSCP official T.D. McNeal led a MOWM branch that was among the nation's most active. David Grant, Thelma Maddox, Nita Blackwell, and Leyton Weston are some of the thousands joining McNeal over a three-year period to picket U.S. Cartridge and Carter Carburetor for violating the anti-discrimination clause in Executive Order 8802, lobby Southwestern Bell Telephone to expand employment opportunities for African Americans, stage a summer of sit-ins at lunch counters in the city's largest department stores, and lead a general push for a "Double V" against fascism and racism. This study of MOWM demonstrates that the structural dynamics of protest groups often include a discrepancy between policies laid out by the organization's national office and the activity of its local branches. While national officials from MOWM and National Organization for the Advancement of Colored People had an ambivalent relationship with each other, inter-organizational tension was locally muted as grassroots activists aligned themselves with whichever group appeared most effective. During the Second World War, this was often MOWM.
