Les commissions de quartier à l’heure de l’engagement écocitoyen, à Dijon : entre communication stratégique publique locale et construction d’un espace public restreint morcelé / Neighborhood commissions at the time of the eco-citizen commitment, in Dijon : between local public strategic communication and construction of a small public fragmented spaceHily, Sandrine 25 October 2018 (has links)
This doctoral thesis in Information and Communication Science explores the question of eco-citizen commitment in the neighborhood commissions of Dijon. Many academic or more popular publications in different fields of research (Information and Communication Science, social and environmental psychology, political science, law, philosophy, ecology, etc.) have addressed this issue in recent years. Once the actors of the question had been defined (the inhabitants, elected officials, technicians, representatives of structures and associations, etc.), it was possible to study different instances of participatory democracy in Dijon. The following question ensued : "How are the neighborhood commissions of Dijon stretched between the information-communication implementations of local public communication and fragmented, limited public space?" How does eco-citizenship emerge or not from this split? The methodology used by the author was inductivist with observant participation, research-action as field researcher since she is both a researcher and a municipal councilor of Dijon, the Delegate to local democracy (2014-2020).

Rôle du contrôle cognitif dans les modulations du langage et des émotions : l'exemple de la schizophrénie et des troubles bipolaires / Role of cognitif control in the modulations of the langage and the emotions : the example of the schizophrénia and the bipolar disordersGuillery, Murielle 10 February 2017 (has links)
The present study explores the modulations of the emotional control in the interactions of the language and the emotions, to 23 affected subjects of schizophrenia in state of stabilization and 21 affected subjects of bipolar disorders in euthymic phase. The interactions were envisaged on one hand in the sense of the feelings via the language with an experimental taskof conditioned emotional Stroop, then in contrast in the sense of the language via the feelings with an experimental task of lexical decision with orthographic neighbors with emotional connotation. The results highlight an emotional positive hyper-reactivity in bipolar disorders and disorders of the emotional cognitive control in the schizophrenia. These two diseasespresent overlappings in the cognitive changes which do not still allow to distinguish cognitive markers. However, the results of this study indicate that the processes involved in the disturbances of the processing of the words with emotional connotation are of different natures between these two pathologies. From then on, the present study could turn out usefulto differentiate the schizophrenia of bipolar disorders.

The designers in front of imperative of participation into the sustainable urban project : the case of the sustainable neighborhood in FranceLeonet, Jennifer 17 December 2018 (has links)
This thesis is written within the context of a series of works undertaken over the last twenty years in France on the subject of the trades and professions of urban, architectural and landscape production, as considered through the prism of new social expectations. The thesis analyses the attitudes and forms of intervention adopted by designers of urban projects that, since the mid 2000s, have featured strong citizen participation ambitions associated with sustainable development issues. To what extent has the emergence of these demands in France, particularly noticeable in the case of the first sustainable neighborhoods, modified designers’ representation of citizen participation, as well as their own practice, skills andgeneral vision of their profession?

Previous issue date: 2010-10-18 / This work examines three community leaders who exercise the office of president
of neighborhood association in three districts of the region of Ipiranga (SP, Brazil).
Through the analysis of the speeches in individual interviews, this study aims to
understand whether the type of work they perform favors strengthening and
development of the local community.
The goal is to bring an historic review of the popular movement of neighborhood,
in the classic paradigm of social movement. From this, we will discuss the emergence
and development of the theoretical framework of Community Social Psychology and
their concepts of power and community empowerment, proposing a democratic
leadership that promotes the participation of community members.
We conclude that these leaders do not encourage community participation,
because of internal contradictions in the dynamics of the associations which they
manage and because they perform an intermediary role between the State interests and
the community. Thus, this movement is characterized as non-politicized, clientelistic and

Previous issue date: 2013-10-11 / This doctoral thesis focuses on two experiences of cultural management, in which I
was directly involved. One of then happened from 1997 to 2004 at the Municipal
Culture in Itapecerica da Serra city and the other in the context of the Tide Setubal
Foundation that developed in Sao Miguel Paulista, neighborhood of East Region of
São Paulo capital. Although the culture managements happen in different universes,
both are characterized by the coexistence of managers with activities and
representations of who belonged to and participated in these experiments
approached in a comparative perspective, they show the importance of ways of
management of cultural policies, in addition to administrative aspects. In
implementation of projects and programs of culture, a counterpoint comes between
the "do to" and "do with" the target public, men and women, young and not so young.
Thus the important role assumed by the target public, since the cultural actions are
based on a careful view and a receptive listening to their experiences, knowledge
and practices related to everyday life that are neither always taken into account, nor
are they considered as specific demands / Esta tese de doutoramento focaliza duas experiências de gestão da cultura, nas
quais estive diretamente envolvido.

Previous issue date: 2013-11-18 / The main objective of this research is to portray the work of Calasans Neto, relating his memories to the sociocultural context of Bahia, as well as with local and mythical meanings represented symbolically by goats and whales, which are present in the life of this artist. The methodological basis is based on studies made by the authors Arjun Appadurai (2004) and Yuri Lotman (1996), covering topics such as symbolic universe, imagination and memory. The bibliographic survey of the author Myriam Fraga and theoretical bases of Jerusa Pires Ferreira on Semiotics of Culture, Myths, Culture, Imagination and Orality will have great relevance. This exploratory (Gil, 2010) and field research, sometimes fulfilling an ethnographic role, aims to provide greater familiarity with the life and work of this printmaker of Bahia. Support is in document analysis, bibliographic research and in interviews. Data collection involves a bibliographic survey and interviews with people who knew Calasans Neto, in order to draw a profile of the artist, contextualizing him as printmaker and realizing the influences in his artistic production, received from other artists and his participation as a member of Map Generation (movement of young artists who revolutionized the culture of Bahia). The corpus analysis and interviews will be part of the artist's work, related mainly to two symbolic elements: goats and whales. Some pictures and images of works of art that bring cultural and mythological references of Bahia will be considered sources of complementary research / O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é retratar a obra de Calasans Neto, relacionando
simbólico, a imaginação e a memória.

Previous issue date: 2014-09-17 / The study of the neighborhood situation in the multi-ownership condominium aims at
drawing a parallel between the provisions of the Civil Code on the subject in terms of
ensuring health, peace and safety in the use of real estate. The work seeks to draw
attention to the responsibilities of the condominiums for the construction of cities;
therefore, several objections involving such living spaces included in the urbanization
are analyzed.
The Brazilians prefer the vertical model of urban construction with condominiums,
and such model has been multiplying, resulting in a high population density.
The cities are characterized by being a meeting and exchange point between people,
urban citizens, and should be prepared for good living, working and entertaining;
however, urban violence has been growing at rates never recorded before in the
Brazilian society creating new nuances in the neighborhood status. Therefore, the
mediation in conflicts emerging in condominiums is a tool that reunites and promotes
dialogue among their residents who find there a private and protected space to
submit their issues.
These themes are dealt with, aiming at pointing out social peace as responsibility
shared between the Law and those working with it as the need to draft a more
effective legislation concerning this objective within the Private Law sphere, indicating
the need for the corresponding public policies.
The right to sustainable cities is clear in the Brazilian legislation. The most
disseminated concept of sustainable development is defined as the one meeting the
existent needs without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet their
own needs. The sustainable development is shown in the environment, economic,
social, political, cultural and historic spheres, and based on such focus some ideas
appear guiding this life model and the relationship among urban people. The theme
is closely related to the diffuse and collective Human Rights and to the human life
condition.
The work was outlined under the view of theoretic and philosophic grounds about
urban life, describing how the neighborhood has been built and developed in the
perspective of sustainability, the multi-ownership condominium as a dwelling model
and its corresponding responsibilities in the presented situations, the condominium
and urban conflicts as well as their appreciation for mediation / O estudo das situações de vizinhança no condomínio edilício objetiva traçar um
Porém, a

Planos urbanos locais: definição concreta para a mobilidade e qualidade ambiental urbanas / Local urban plans: Setting concrete basis for urban mobility and enviromental qualityRodriguez, Maria Elizabet Paez 04 October 2013 (has links)
In São Paulo Metropolis, the largest urban sprawl felt towards the East Side of the city in an irregular way under all of the aspects. Nowadays, a population of almost 4 million people lives in the East Region of São Paulo, with a low level of employability offering and public and private services quality, with dysfunctional urban mobility. The objective of this thesis is to demonstrate that urban planning in Brazil for this big cities, taking the example of São Paulo, city which has been a pioneer in many aspects in this field as in others, has not reached conclusive levels that allow to deal with its main urban problems: to offer quality public spaces as areas of social interaction by Neighborhood Urban Plans, reaching the much needed urban development of the extreme east and other needy areas of São Paulo City. This thesis presents a methodology for the creation of sustainable Neighborhood Urban Plans with urban quality, through the conjunction of the Public Transportation System with a policy of Land Use, which can offer to the local inhabitant short displacement between home and work, school and commerce and the ability to walk and practice outdoor activities in his neighborhood, on environment quality full streets.

Word recognition, according to the adult readers’ lexical skill differences (reading, spelling and vocabulary levels). To do so, we tested the orthographic neighborhood frequency effect by deletion and substitution of a letter in lexical decision (Exp.1, 4), progressive demasking (Exp 2, 5), denomination (Exp. 3, 6), and color categorization tasks (Exp.7). Response times were longer and the error rates were higher for words with at least one higher frequency neighbor than for words without such a neighbor, which can be explained in terms of lexical competition. In addition, the lexical competition of the higher-frequency deletion neighbor seems more important for individuals with high lexical skills than for those with low lexical skills (Exp 1, 3), the latter showing difficulties in inhibiting the competitor. Furthermore, individuals with low lexical skills were slower and less accurate than those with high lexical skills (Exp 1-7). Data from the categorization task (Exp. 7) suggest difficulties in setting up inhibition for these individuals. Finally, we have shown that the orthographic neighborhood frequency effect was influenced by the confusability of the substituted letter, differing according to the lexical skills of the individuals (Exp 4-6). In the theoretical framework of activation-interactive and spatial coding, the data highlight the importance of readers’ differences in lexical skills for the diffusion of lexical activation and inhibition in visual word recognition.

Social capital can be defined as the characteristics of human associations and cooperation that may have an effect on people\'s health. Studies conducted in the last decade point to a positive association between higher social capital and better health indicators. However, some characteristics of the neighborhood in which people live can act as mediators of this association, an area not yet analyzed in the scientific literature. Studies that analyze this association can help to improve the understanding of the effect of social capital in a society with high levels of inequality and violence, as is the Brazilian society. Objective. The aim of this thesis is to analyze whether neighborhood characteristics act as mediators of the association between social capital and self-perception of health. Methodology. Baseline data (2008-2010) from the Brazilian Longitudinal Study for Adult Health (ELSA-Brasil) was analyzed. ELSA-Brasil is a multi-center cohort of 15,105 active and retired civil servants of both sexes aged between 35-74 years linked to six different Brazilian teaching and research institutions. The multiple variables were the domains of social support, prestige and education and social cohesion of individual neighborhood, all analyzed at the individual level. For the analysis of neighborhood effects, only individuals residing at the same postal address for at least five years were included. The neighborhood characteristics studied were: physical activity environment, availability of healthy foods, safety, perceived violence and victimization. Logistic regression models were sequentially adjusted for each of the neighborhood characteristics of interest. Results. The models point to a consistent association between both higher support indicators and social neighborhood cohesion with better health status, even after adjusting for neighborhood characteristics. On the other hand, the dimension of prestige and education did not present a significant association with health situation in any of the models. Social support presented an odds ratio (OR) of 0.81 (95 per cent , CI: 0.69-0.95) for individuals with moderate social support and an OR of 0.62 (95 per cent CI, CI: 0.52-0.74) for individuals with high social support, even after controlling for neighborhood characteristics. Neighborhood social cohesion also did not presented modifications in its effects and remained stable in most OR models: 0.76 (95 per cent CI 0.67-0.85) for individuals with moderate social cohesion and 0,82 (95 per cent , CI: 0.72-0.93) for individuals with high social cohesion. Although all neighborhood characteristics presented a significant association with self-perception of health, none caused a change in the association between social capital domains and self- perception of health. Conclusions. The results indicate that neighborhood characteristics did not significantly alter the association between social capital and self-perception of health, which points to an effect of social capital on health regardless of neighborhood characteristics. However, new studies are needed in order to fully elucidate the details of the mechanisms involved, especially in relation to reverse causation and exposure time within a neighborhood
