Unknown Date (has links)

Evangelism by fire : eine kritische Untersuchung der Evangelisationsarbeit von Reinhard Bonnke in Afrika / Evangelism by fire : a critical examination of the evangelism of Reinhard Bonnke in Africa

Schott, Daniel 28 February 2007 (has links)
This dissertation analyses Reinhard Bonnke's evangelistic ministry in Africa, and examines to what extent his propagated "Evangelism by Fire" conforms with the New Testament ministry of evangelism. The results of an analysis of the New Testament ministry of evangelism, especially of the evangelistic ministry of Philip, provide the basis for a comparison with Bonnke's understanding and practice of the evangelistic ministry. A thorough analysis of Bonnke's publications, especially those referring to the theme of evangelism, allows a systematic insight into his understanding of the evangelistic ministry. In order to examine the conformity between Reinhard Bonnke's understanding and his practice of evangelism, expert interviews referring to his gospel crusade in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in 2002 are analysed, and compared to his understanding of evangelism. Finally, the findings about Bonnke's understanding and practice of evangelism are related to the New Testament evangelistic ministry, and analysed synoptically. The research results of this study show that Bonnke's understanding of evangelism and his practice of evangelism, during the gospel crusade in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, conform with each other. Bonnke's propagated and applied "Evangelism by Fire" shows him to be an evangelist orientated to the New Testament. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / (D.Th.(Missiology))

[en] THE USE OF ISAIAH 52:13-53:12 IN ROMANS 5:12-2: ANALYSIS MADE USING G. K. BEALE S EXEGETICAL AND INTERPRETATIVE METHOD / [pt] O USO DE IS 52,13-53,12 EM RM 5,12-21: UMA ANÁLISE A PARTIR DO MÉTODO EXEGÉTICO-INTERPRETATIVO DE G. K. BEALE

SAMUEL BRANDAO DE OLIVEIRA 18 January 2019 (has links)
[en] The use of Romans 5:12-21 almost exclusively in debates regarding the origin and universality of sin has resulted in the super valorization of the discussion on segment 12d, with fundamental aspects for the understanding of the theological message comprised in the Pauline text going almost unnoticed. One of the pretermitted aspects was the allusions to Isaiah 53:11-12. The present research aims to contribute to a perception of the effects these allusions produced on Paul s contemporaries. They make the hearers/readers picture the image of the Servant who by his knowledge will justify many, present in Isaiah s text, as well as the biblical-theological categories of the New Exodus and the New Creation comprised in its context and to which it is strongly interconnected. Following that, the recovery of the value of these allusions would enable a more adequate understanding of the hermeneutical, theological and rhetorical potential of the pericope, which would result in a true contribution for the theological debate, considering that Paul s pericope plays an important role in such debate. The methodology used in this study will be that proposed by G. K. Beale, which, by contemplating the synchronic and diachronic aspects of the research, proposes an exegetical and interpretative analysis, therefore proving itself perfectly adequate to enable the perception of Paul s intention when using Isaiah s text.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Opção em Debêntures.pdf: 1582205 bytes, checksum: 6007183ecaa2252dd077e1fb1902f4f9 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-12-28 / On June 24, 2011, Law 12.431/11 was introduced, which granted a reduction of the Income Tax rate on bonds issued with the purpose of financing infrastructure projects. Since then, the so-called "Infrastructure Bonds" have increased their importance as a funding mechanism to companies in this sector. Since the publication of the Resolution of the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) No. 4.476, of 4 November 2016, it was allowed to include early redemption clauses at the discretion of the issuing company. Considering the peculiarities of these bonds, the methodologies already developed for pricing call options on bonds are not applicable. In this way, this work intends to develop a methodology for pricing the existence of an early redemption clause in an Infrastructure Bond covered by Law 12.431/11, considering the term structure of Brazilian interest rates and the costs of issuing bonds.

The role of the Holy Spirit in actualization, denial, empowerment, renewal and consummation of the human self

Baliah, Barnabas Sundrum 30 June 2007 (has links)
The content of this dissertation delineates the crucial and incisive role of the Holy Spirit in terms of God's grand and majestic acts of creation, that is the creation of the multiversity of universes, redemption that is the cross, the exemplar of Christ in self denial, reconciliation and restoration, and his resurrection, that is self-empowerment, self-renewal and self-fulfillment observed within the context of God, being human and the physical organic environment as it interacts with the human acts of personal and social responsibility observed within the context of a five dimensional approach of self-actualization, self-denial, self-empowerment, self-renewal and self-fulfillment, ingested into ones identity, internalised and witnessed as meaningful daily praxis, seen through the prism of the cross and the resurrection. A didactic method has been followed to engender insights into and conviction regarding the relevance of the subject for our present day and a hortatory method to exhort to an obedient response and to urge an appropriate action. / Systematic Theology and Theological Ethics / M. The story of an immune deficiency disease and its representation in the South African print media (1981-2000)

Mathebe, Lucky 25 August 2009 (has links)
This study explores the multiple ways in which Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) functioned through concrete biomedical institutions, namely, the Centres for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the World Health Organization (WHO). AIDS is viewed as a product of the full range of institutional practices in which it became embedded and in which it was set within the boundaries of Louis Pasteur's germ theory of disease (see the Preface section). This biomedical model of disease was materialized through journalistic practices and sold as news. Within these operative terms can be understood another analytical strategy that also designates the main domain of my study of this contemporary social form: I argue in this thesis that knowledge about AIDS was by no means dependent solely on the objective, scientifically determined, "received narrative" of biomedicine; what is today known as AIDS is also a product of a wide range of social practices produced and reproduced over time and space. AIDS is also an outcome of the resolutions, judgements and decisions that working journalists made over time in terms of what they generated or covered as news; the disease is also product of a large assortment of representational mirrors that I call `authentic voices', to take as good examples, the "narrative of moral protest", the narrative of a "homosexual disease", the narrative of a "heterosexual disease," and the narrative of a "modern-day Black Death" (plague). The story of AIDS in the media can also be seen to be defined by the proliferation of these authentic voices. From this reading, the distinctive trait of AIDS in the media lies in the fact that it is a constructed object, a disease framed through a specific structure of meanings. When we look at these structure of meanings we find that their moral and cultural assumptions and stereotypical connotations embody certain aspects of the organism of the society within which they were created and nourished over a much longer history. / Sociology / D.Litt. et Phil. AIDS {--} NEMOC NEBO BOŽÍ TREST? / AIDS - a Disease or God´s Punishment?

VOBORNÍKOVÁ, Daniela January 2010 (has links)
Present work deals with the solution of the strain between Jewish-Christian picture of good and loving God and a tragic reality of AIDS phenomenon. The work looks for answers to questions such as: Is a human being able to influence their health by an ethical way of life? To what extend are we responsible for our diseases and difficulties? Is a disease God´s punishment?{\crqq} What is (can be) the sense of a disease? How can we explain the suffering of the innocent? The work looks for the connections between a disease and a sin, between AIDS and an immoral life. The work presents the HIV/AIDS issue as a phenomenon concerning all people without a difference. It solves if it is possible to perceive AIDS as a kind of God punishment for sinful and immoral behaviour of people, as a consequence of structural maleficence or a personal carelessness of a human person. It points out the methods of primary prevention and reminds the task of a Christian to bring Christian values into a human society. The way out is found in the change of thinking and behaviour of people: in the appreciation and acquirement of ethical demands and opening to God blessing for the assumption of belief.

Naissance d'un mythe : Jeanne d'Arc dans l'oeuvre de Charles Péguy / Birth of a myth : Joan of Arc in the work of Charles Peguy

Alabsi, Dalia 29 April 2011 (has links)
Despite the numerous books that dealt with the legend story of Joan of Arc, still she managed to overcome all the expectations. Regardless the detailed researches done to reinforce the heroic aspect of her mission, her legend continues to spread all over the world the image Joan of Arc the warrior and liberator of France. In the literature rarely a character had given rise to such so different opinions and discussions as Joan of Arc had done. A symbol of resistance against any foreign invasion and obedience to divine commands, she had continued give herself to a countless roles and to be a source of inspiration in most contradictory manner. In the twentieth century, the work of Charles Peguy is a renovation of character of Joan of Arc “The Maid of Orleans”. In his book, Peguy emphasize the heroic mythic part of Jeanne concerning the salvation of whole humanity. Throughout the legend of Joan of Arc, Peguy rise the question about the fait of humanity through the hidden sense of incarnation and the mystery of redemption : the images serve to metaphor, the wards have double meanings and behind the spectacle of war which becoming more and more horrible we can hear the cries of the cursed souls. With the writings of Peguy, Joan overcome her role as a heroine and saint to serve France and the French people, she is looking forward the salvation of the humanity throughout the salvation of her country. Hence Peguy shows us the creation of a personal and universal myth with the help of simple conception of Joan’s humane life.

The Divine-Human relationship in Greek folk songs : Evolution and Myths

Livaniou, Krystallia 13 January 2012 (has links)
Greek folk songs are infused with a profound religiosity that appears both as a framework and as a means of action. The folk poet has a multidimensional relationship with the God of the Bible and of the Old Testament and makes saints and angels active and recurrent personalities in his texts; they evolve in parallel with the heroes, and their destinies intertwine. Charos is a mythical figure that plays a fundamental role throughout the songs. A mythologically and symbolically sophisticated personality, Charos is the pillar of the lament songs. His ambiguous relationship with the divine determines his relationship with man, and makes him a separate being. Both incarnation of evil and agent of death, his rich historical journey reveals his many faces, as well as his links with some heroic and ambiguous figures such as Digenis or Tsamados. Nature and the animals hold a significant role, characterised by a profound sacredness, and they accompany man in all aspects of his personal and social life. Their ability to transform and their role as announcers in the ballads, place the animals on the front of the stage and grant them a major role in the unfolding of the action. The poet attaches particular importance to the social aspect of the sacred by exploring the notion of divine betrayal but also that of obedience of man to his god. Monastic life and the clergy, as well as religious diversity, become objects of social criticism, and a source of humour. Folk songs preserve an important number of myths by adapting them, that have a literary presence in the Hellenic territory: the myths of Tantalus, Calypso and Adonis belong to them. The ancient heritage of the public expression of grief, of the redemption of the dead and of the hero's tomb, forms the basis of folk philosophy and makes death a true crossroads of cultures.

To tax or to credit. Tax reforms and revolutions in socialist political economies in the 19 th century France

Coste, Clément 29 September 2016 (has links)
Histories of economic thought are relatively discrete with regards to the socialist political economies which developed in France during the 1830s and 1840s. This dissertation aims to reconsider relevant writings before putting them into the context of the history of political economy. The tax system is the starting point of this study. It is thought of as the meeting point between the political and economic spheres: the tax system is envisaged as a state apparatus, able to catalyze, to structure and to neutralize the regulatory power of the market. An interest in tax thus takes into account socialist viewpoints revolving around the independencies between the State and the market. This dissertation focusses on two maintraditions. Firstly, in Saint-Simonian political economy, embodied amongst others by Barthélémy Prosper Enfantin, Michel Chevalier, Alphonse Decourdemanche, Emile and Isaac Pereire, tax was understood from a very functionalist perspective. It was through tax that the market was structured, by restoring balance to material funds and by activating the movement of capital in such a way as to decrease interest rate. Moreover, the Saint-Simonians developed a socio-economic theory of borrowing: the development of public debt was a means to socialize credit and capital. The second tradition, that of the fraternal socialists represented by Louis Blanc,Pierre Leroux, Jean Reynaud, François Vidal and Constantin Pecqueur, refuted the Saint-Simonian theory of “unlimited public borrowing”. It proposed the reform of the economic and commercial institutions likely to provide the young Republic with the necessary resources to fund the “right to work”, without recourse to tax or to borrowing. The arguments developed were part of singular political economies which demonstrated, eachin their own manner, their opposition to liberal political economy: a capability political economy (Saint-Simonian), manifested in the technical discourse articulated in the financialdebates of the time; a republican political economy (fraternal), characterized by the philosophical discourse which attempted to reintegrate politics into the treatment of economic affairs. The reinvention of the tax system in order to reorganize society was an important objective for the 19 th century French socialists.
