Background: The main task of nurse anaesthetists during trauma calls is to secure the patients airway. How they experience and handle these situations are individual and depend on teamwork, communication, leadership and the possibility for debriefing. Previous studies have shown that these elements are of importance to ensure patient safety during trauma calls. Aim: To describe nurse anaesthetist’s experiences of trauma calls on the emergency room and how they cope with these situations. Method: Qualitative approach and descriptive design was used. Ten nurse anaesthetists from two hospitals in the middle part of Sweden were included. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analysed with qualitative content analysis. Findings: Based on the data collected three main categories emerged; Confident in the profession, The role of teamwork and Debriefing. These categories were described in eight subcategories; To be mentally prepared, To feel confident in the profession, To keep calm, To have a concept to follow, To have clear leadership, To have direct communication, To talk with colleagues and To get feedback on their efforts. These reflected nurse anaesthetist’s experiences of trauma calls in the emergency room and how they manage these situations. Conclusion: The nurse anaesthetists described mental confidence in the profession based on previous experience. Teamwork and communication was of importance for the cooperation in the emergency room, while unclear leadership and lack of structure contributed to less collaboration. It also emerged that debriefing with colleagues were of importance. Formal debriefing and more time for feedback were demanded.

Environmental storytelling i escape rooms : Hur historiska narrativ kan fungera i escape rooms / Environmental storytelling in escape rooms : How historical narratives can work in escape roomsBlomquist, Sanna, Molander, Elin January 2022 (has links)

Acoustic perception of Metal live performance in a multipurpose hall (Black Box) : A study into the influence of the acoustical quality of a Black Box regarding Metal live performance.Soliman, Sam January 2023 (has links)
A study has been implemented regarding the acoustical characteristics of a black box and its influence on rock and metal music live performance. Objective acoustical measurements have been made as well as a subjective evaluation in form of a listening test. The results have shown uneven distribution in the frequency domain in addition to exaggeration in the low frequency domain which affects the sound quality regarding rock and metal live productions. It is suggested in general to apply acoustic treatments in form of adjustable acoustic ceiling and diffusers on walls to achieve even frequency distribution. It is also suggested to have specific configurations regarding the sound reinforcement system as well as a proper tuning of the sound to obtain better integration with the acoustics of the hall.

An impossible mission for HVB-staff? : A qualitative study on the staff's professional duties in relation to the legislation in work with young people at HVB homesStrömberg, Sofia, Grothage Visén, Elina January 2023 (has links)

Simulation of low frequency acoustic waves in small rooms : An SBP-SAT approach to solving the time dependent acoustic wave equation in three dimensionsFährlin, Alva, Edgren Schüllerqvist, Olle January 2023 (has links)
Low frequency acoustic room behaviour can be approximated using numerical methods. Traditionally, music studio control rooms are built with complex geometries, making their eigenmodes difficult to predict mathematically. Hence, a summation-by-parts method with simultaneous-approximation-terms is derived to approximate the time dependent acoustic wave equation in three dimensions. The derived model is limited to rectangular prismatic rooms but planned to be expanded to handle complex geometries in the future. Semi-reflecting boundary conditions are used, corresponding to tabulated reflection and absorption properties of real. walls. Two speakers are modeled as omnidirectional point sources placed on a boundary, to mimic common studio setups. Through tests and examination of eigenvalues of the matrices in the method, conditions for stability and reflection coefficients are derived. Simulations of sound pressure distribution produced by the model correlate well to room mode theory, suggesting the model to be accurate in the application of predicting low frequency acoustic room behaviour. However, the convergence rate of the model turns out to be lower than expected when point sources are introduced. Future steps towards applying the model to real music studio control rooms include modeling the walls as changes in density and wave speed rather than boundaries of the domain. This would potentially allow more complex geometries to be modeled within a larger, rectangular domain.

A Room of One's One : Make room for your inner needsMagnusson, Anton January 2023 (has links)
Imagine visiting a housing exhibition so radical and so ground-breaking that it will influence urban planning and housing standards for an entire nation. During the Stockholm Exhibition 1930, around four million people got to experience just that when the ideas of functionalism were presented to the public. The new, modern style ideal sparked great public debate and opinions were divided. Some of the most vocal proponents of functionalism wrote the propaganda text “acceptera” in which they argued that we must break free from the past and must “accept” the new. One of the advocates of the new modernist ideals was Sven Markelius who a few years later presented “Hem I Kollektivhus”, a new domestic concept for the Swedish family inspired by Alva Myrdahls’ socio-political ideas. The proposal was a multi-family house with a shared kitchen, a communal children’s department, and other collective functions with the aim of getting the woman out to work instead of being stuck in the kitchen with household chores. Inspired by the ideas of collective functions as a response to current housing and social issues, the question arises of how we could approach the same thinking in today’s society. The study explores the Swedish housing model and what role housing exhibitions have had on Swedish housing architecture. This thesis proposes a new Swedish housing concept that explores private and collective functions in domestic life and how it fulfils the personal need for space. The proposal includes a double sided, rotating wall as a new tectonic component in the Swedish domestic environment. The rotating walls can be opened and closed on our own premises and provide more space for our personal needs. The possibility of opening and closing rooms with a more periodized system creates new spatial connections. Either as an expansion of the unit, or a room of one’s own isolated from the dwelling. The room of one’s own can function as a home office, a painting workshop, a music studio, or a room for meditation and poetry. What space do you need in your Swedish domesticity?

An Integrated Room Booking and Access Control System for Public SpacesKamil, Jaffar, Amer, Mohamed January 2023 (has links)
Public spaces, especially educational institutions like universities, encounter challenges with their room booking and access control systems. These challenges commonly manifest as overlapping bookings and unauthorized entry. The latter issue, unauthorized access, specifically stems from inadequate integration between the respective systems. This bachelor thesis introduces a proof-of-concept for a cohesive room booking and access control system to address these issues. The proposed solution encompasses two mobile applications, one as the room reservation platform and the other as the access control mechanism. By integrating the management of bookings and access control, this proof-of-concept aims to overcome the prevalent shortcomings in existing systems. Halmstad University's IT department was consulted during the requirement definition phase to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the common problems, their underlying causes, and possible solutions. The proposed system utilizes common technologies such as NodeJS, Android Studio, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, Mobile BankID is integrated as a unique feature for secure user authentication, providing a trusted and widely-accepted method to verify users' identities. The final results were tested in a simulated environment and indicate that the developed system satisfies the initial requirements, addressing the problems of double bookings and unauthorized access identified during the consultation with the IT department.
