The creation and popularization of the Internet, by itself, marked the twentieth century communication, shortening distances and expanding the journalist‟s universe, but the current phenomenon is the increasing number of new platforms, media and softwares available in the market. There are smartphones, tablets and apps, which, added to the wide range of possibilities that the internet provides, completely changed the language and practices of journalism. Aiming to analyze these issues, we study how, nowadays, the production of content works on the editorship of the Jornal da Paraíba and Correio da Paraíba, trying to understand the transformations which the journalistic production in this section has been submitted to in this new reality. / A presente dissertação se propõe a estudar as rotinas produtivas e as práticas jornalísticas da atualidade na editoria de Economia, modificadas pelas inovações tecnológicas dos últimos anos. A criação e a popularização da internet, por si só, marcaram a comunicação do século XX, encurtando distâncias e ampliando o universo do jornalista, mas o fenômeno atual se dá no número cada vez maior de novas plataformas, mídias e softwares disponíveis no mercado. São smartphones, tablets e aplicativos, que, somados à ampla gama de possibilidades que a internet traz consigo, modificaram completamente as linguagens e práticas do jornalismo. Para analisar essas questões, estudamos como funciona, hoje, a produção de conteúdo na editoria de Economia no Jornal da Paraíba e Correio da Paraíba, procurando entender as transformações às quais o fazer jornalístico nesse segmento tem sido submetido diante desta nova realidade.

It is assumed that journalists must be aware of the changes in communication brought by the media convergence, in a way that the newsrooms ought to be prepared to acquire the digital abilities demanded by the labour market. Based on these reflections, we sought to answer the question as follows: In what way the Whatsapp influences Bom Dia Paraíba productive routines? There was a contextualization on the topic followed by a more practical chapter based on a case study in which a researcher carried out a participant observation during a week in the news production. Therefore, we corroborated the theory Newsmaking, which states a social construction of reality. Authors such as Wolf (1994), Alsina (2009), Pena (2010), Paternostro (1999) and Jenkins (2013) were the main sources for this bibliographical and exploratory research. It was given focus on concepts about the articles production and media convergence, with emphasis on the relationship Whatsapp-telejournalism in the process of producing pieces of news for Bom Dia Paraíba. There have been identified along the field research five main influences on the use of Whatsapp in the TV news, listed as follows: 1. Whatsapp has contributed to speed up communication among the newsroom staff as it combines both personal and professional demands; 2. Expanded how the public and the TV news interact, bringing up a continual stream of access and interaction; 3. It is concluded that the app has positively changed the productivity within Bom Dia Paraíba, in spite of being a new tool and which has been reconfigured constantly. / A presente pesquisa buscou compreender como as práticas jornalísticas são reformuladas em face ao uso do dispositivo tecnológico WhatsApp nas rotinas produtivas do Bom Dia Paraíba, telejornal produzido pela TV Cabo Branco, afiliada da Rede Globo em João Pessoa. Partimos do pressuposto de que os jornalistas devem estar atentos às transformações ocorridas na comunicação a partir da convergência midiática, de modo que é preciso preparar as Redações para adquirir habilidades digitais necessárias ao mercado de trabalho. Com base nessas reflexões, buscamos responder ao seguinte questionamento: de que forma o WhatsApp influencia nas rotinas produtivas do Bom Dia Paraíba? Fizemos uma contextualização quanto à temática para em seguida adentrar em um capítulo mais prático baseado em um estudo de caso a partir da observação participante da pesquisadora por uma semana na produção do telejornal. Para tanto, corroboramos com a Teoria Newsmaking, que tem como paradigma a construção social da realidade. Seguimos primordialmente, em nossa pesquisa bibliográfica e de cunho exploratório, os autores Wolf (1994), Alsina (2009), Pena (2010), Paternostro (1999) e Jenkins (2013), bem como focamos nos conceitos sobre construção da notícia e convergência midiática, enfatizando na relação WhatsApp-telejornalismo no processo de produção da notícia no Bom Dia Paraíba. Elencamos cinco influências identificadas na pesquisa de campo quanto à inserção do WhatsApp no telejornal, quais sejam: 1. Whatsapp contribuiu para agilizar a comunicação entre a equipe da Redação na medida em que mistura disposições pessoais e profissionais; 2. Ampliou as formas de interação entre o público e o telejornal, criando uma lógica ininterrupta de acesso e interação; 3. Despersonalizou o fluxo das informações, na medida em que o Whatsapp é um "receptor" de conteúdos informacionais não necessitando de uma figura humana que "receba" os conteúdos no momento da interação; 4. Instaurou o anonimato de denúncias nas rotinas jornalísticas a partir de novos modos de sugerir pautas; 5. Aumentou a preocupação em apurar a informação uma vez que os fluxos de informação são contínuos. Concluímos, então, que o aplicativo alterou de forma positiva a produtividade do Bom Dia Paraíba, apesar de ser uma ferramenta nova e que passa constantemente por reconfigurações.

The research is exploratory, qualitative, with retrospective longitudinal time frame. A multiple case study was conducted, with the selection of six cases. Data was collected from semi-structured interviews, documentation and direct observations. Ventures and incubator perspectives were considered. Content analysis was taken. NVivo software was used to support the research. Based on theoretical backgrounds an analysis frame was elaborated in order to present the selected approaches. How organizational context of gradutated ventures that were bonded to a University Business Incubator in the technology sector can influence organizational unlearning was examined. Changes in organizational routines of graduated ventures were described, involving specific routines, from the new venture creation and development processes. Organizational unlearning was verified, predominantly in writing or updating business plan routine. Types of interplay between organizational learning and unlearning were identified. Isolated organizational learning was identified in every routine and all organizational unlearning situations were caracterized as isolated. Thus distinction between the two processes was corroborated. Situations where organizational unlearning precedes or occurs simultaneously to organizational learning were not observed. Relearning was verified only in writing or updating business plan routine. It was noticed that the context of these ventures offers opportunities for studying organizational unlearning not only after graduation but also during incubation period. Propositions were established based on venture incubation, new venture creation and development processes and organizational unlearning literatures. / Este estudo teve por objetivo analisar como ocorre a desaprendizagem organizacional em empresas que foram graduadas após processo de incubação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, qualitativa, abrangendo horizonte temporal longitudinal retrospectivo. Adotou-se a estratégia de estudo de casos múltiplos, tendo sido selecionados seis casos. Recorreu-se a entrevistas semi-estruturadas, documentação e observações diretas. Perspectivas relacionadas às empresas e à incubadora foram consideradas. Para a análise dos dados, foi realizada análise de conteúdo. Foi adotado o software NVivo para suporte à condução da pesquisa. Com base na fundamentação teórica, foi elaborado um quadro de análise que especificou as abordagens que foram seguidas. Foi examinado como o contexto organizacional das empresas graduadas, que tiveram vínculo com Incubadora de Empresas de Universidade com atuação no setor de tecnologia, pode influenciar a desaprendizagem organizacional. Foram descritas mudanças nas rotinas organizacionais das empresas graduadas, tendo sido tratadas rotinas específicas, a partir dos processos de criação e desenvolvimento de novos negócios. Foi verificada a ocorrência de desaprendizagem organizacional, com predominância do descarte da rotina de elaboração ou atualização de plano de negócios. Foram identificados tipos de interação entre aprendizagem e desaprendizagem organizacional, constatando-se ocorrência de aprendizagem organizacional isolada em todas as rotinas examinadas e classificação de todas as situações de desaprendizagem organizacional como isolada. Assim, foi corroborada a distinção entre os dois processos. Não foram observadas situações de desaprendizagem organizacional precedendo tampouco ocorrendo simultaneamente à aprendizagem organizacional. Foi verificada reaprendizagem apenas na rotina de elaboração ou atualização de plano de negócios. Percebeu-se que não somente após a graduação, mas também durante o período de incubação, o contexto dessas empresas oferece oportunidades para o estudo da desaprendizagem organizacional. Proposições foram formuladas, tendo sido fundamentadas nas literaturas de incubação de empresas, processos de criação e desenvolvimento de novos negócios e desaprendizagem organizacional.

Distriktssköterskors erfarenhet av och reflektioner kring att arbeta utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler: En intervjustudie

Sammanfattning Bakgrund: Basala hygienrutiner och klädregler är en säkerhetsåtgärd både för patienten och vårdpersonalen. Alla patienter har rätt till säker vård med en god hygienisk standard. God hygien är elementärt i arbetet med att motverka smittspridning och förebygga vårdrelaterade infektioner. Metod: En intervjustudie med deskriptiv design och en induktiv kvalitativ ansats. Undersökningsgruppen omfattar 11 distriktssköterskor från totalt fyra av åtta inkluderade hälsocentraler. Syfte: Undersöka distriktssköterskors erfarenhet av och reflektioner kring att arbeta utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler. Resultat: Syftet med att arbeta utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler är att motverka smittspridning för att skydda patienten och distriktssköterskorna. Att arbeta utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler uttrycktes vara en självklarhet i alla situationer,  kombinationen av sunt förnuft och erfarenhet var grunden för hur och när distriktssköterskorna arbetar utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler. Det fanns ting som distriktssköterskorna angav inverkade på hur noga de arbetade utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler, flera av distriktssköterskorna poängterade att attityden gentemot basala hygienrutiner och klädregler samt tidspress och arbetsbelastning är det som inverkar mest. Slutsats: Distriktssköterskorna upplevde att det lätt kunde uppstå brister i hur och när de arbetade utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler dock eftersträvades alltid följsamhet. För att tillgodose patienternas lagstadgade rätt till en säker vård av god hygienisk standard behöver inte bara distriktssköterskor utan hela primärvården kontinuerlig sträva efter att arbeta utifrån basala hygienrutiner och klädregler. / Abstract Background: Basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations is a safety precaution for the patient and healthcare-staff, all patients have the right to safe care with good hygiene standard. Good hygiene is elemental in the efforts to prevent spread of disease and healthcare-associated infections. Method: An interview study with a descriptive design and an inductive qualitative approach. The research-group contains 11 district-nurses from four of the eight included health-centres. Aim: Investigate district nurses experience of and reflections on working on the basis of basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations.  Results: The aim of working according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations is to prevent spread of disease to protect the patient and the district-nurses. Working according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations was considered a matter of course in all situations, combination of commonsense and experience where the basis for how and when district-nurses worked according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations. Several district-nurses indicated that the attitude against basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations, time-pressure and workload had impact on how thoroughly district-nurses worked according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations. Conclusion: Flaws regarding how and when district-nurses worked according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations easily occur even though compliance where always pursued. To accommodate the patients statutory rights to safe care of good hygienic standard not only district-nurses but the whole primary care needs to strive to work according to basic hygiene routines and clothing regulations.

Exploring projectification in the public sector : the case of the Next Stage Review Implementation Programme in the Department of Health

Objective: Public projects are used to deliver policy objectives. From a financial perspective, the Major Projects Authority (MPA) estimated a whole life investment of £488 billion for 199 major projects in 2014, only a small subset of the total number of public projects. Given the financial exposure, the impact of endemic public project failures could put the economic health of the nation at risk. This thesis studies the challenges facing public projects. It applies an organisational capabilities lens to investigate projectification, when organisations shift away from functional-based organising (FBO) toward project-based organising (PBO). Research Design: This study adopts an interpretivist research paradigm, with a constructionist epistemology and an idealist ontology, and employs an abductive research strategy. Structurally, it follows the Cranfield Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) methodology, with a linking document that summarises three complementary research projects: a systematic literature review (SLR) followed by two empirical studies that investigate the Department of Health (DoH) during the early phases of the Next Stage Review Implementation Programme (NSRIP). The findings are derived from over 250 academic literature sources, 100 government publications and 41 semi-structured interviews.

Sammanfattning Bakgrund: Förutsättningarna för god och säker vård är att basala hygienrutinerna följs inom vården. Genom tillämpning av god handhygien motverkas smittspridning och vårdrelaterade infektioner. Vårdskador kan medföra att vårdtiden ökar och orsaka lidande för patienten och är därför ett hot mot säker vård. Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka vårdpersonalens följsamhet till basala hygienrutiner, på en medicinsk akutvårdsavdelning med fokus på handhygien. Metod: En kvantitativ registerstudie med långtidsuppföljning har utförts. Datamaterialet var hämtat från registret för Mätning och Analys (MOA). Observationerna insamlades av hygienobservatörer på en medicinsk akutvårdsavdelning i södra Sverige år 2013 – 2018. Data importerades över till statistikprogrammet SPSS. Deskriptiv och analytisk statistik har använts för analys.  Resultat: Vid analys framkom (n=491) det att följsamheten till handhygienen har brister, undersköterskor visar på högst följsamhet. Handsprit efter patientkontakt var det momentet som visade högst följsamhet. Det finns brister i handhygienen över tid då följsamheten inte var hundraprocentig under samtliga år. Slutsats: Följsamheten till handhygienen påverkas av många faktorer. God och säker vård är beroende av att vårdpersonal har kunskap om handhygien och smittspridning. För att vårdpersonal ska förbättra det preventiva arbetet mot säkrare vård är det vårdgivaren som ska medverka till ny kunskap. Medarbetare har ansvaret för att upprätthålla och följa den kunskapen. / Summary Backgorund: The preconditions for good and safe care is that the basic hygiene routines are followed within the care. The application of good hand hygiene prevents the spread of infection and health-related infections. Care injuries can increase the length of care and cause suffering for the patient and are therefore a threat to safe care. Aim: To investigate the compliance of healthcare professionals to basic hygiene routines, in a medical emergency care department with a focus on hand hygiene. Method: A quantitative registry study with long-term follow-up has been performed. The data material was retrieved from the register for Measurement and Analysis (MOA). The observations were collected by hygiene observers at a medical emergency department in southern Sweden in 2013 - 2018. Data was imported into the statistical program SPSS. Descriptive and analytical statistics have been used for analysis. Results: In the analysis (n=491) it was found that the adherence to the hand hygiene has shortcomings, the assistant nurses show the highest adherence. Hand rub after patient contact was the element that showed the highest level of compliance. There are shortcomings in hand hygiene overtime as compliance was not hundred percent during all years. Conclusion: Adherence to hand hygiene is influenced by many factors. Good and safe care is dependent on the fact that healthcare professionals have knowledge of hand hygiene and the spread of infection. In order for healthcare professionals to improve preventive work towards safer care, the healthcare provider must contribute to new knowledge. Employees are responsible for maintaining and following that knowledge.

Att skapa och upprätthålla en balanserad övningsrutin : Rutinskapande, upprätthållning och återhämtning / Creating and maintaining a balanced practice routine : Routines, maintenance, and recuperation

I detta examensarbete undersöks hur den individuella övningen påverkas av en tydlig och hälsosam dagsrutin. Hur aspekter såsom vila, sömn, motion och vilja påverkar övning är inte alltid helt självklart för utövande musiker, även om forskning på områdena är omfattande. Syftet med detta arbete är att ta reda på i vilken grad vilja, stress, sömn, motion och vila kan påverka min övningsrutin. Målet med att skapa denna övningsrutin var att jag skulle kunna öva i fem timmar per dag, sex dagar i veckan under en längre period. Förhoppningen var att utökandet av övningstiden skulle leda till större frihet i mitt spel och i mitt konstnärliga uttryck. För att kunna följa den konstnärliga utvecklingen gjordes tre inspelningar av samma stycke, vid olika tillfällen; en före testperioden, en efter första testperioden och en efter andra testperioden. En jämförelse mellan två testperioder på fyra till fem veckor gav svar på skillnaden mellan att endast bruka sin vilja, kontra att ha en hälsosammare dagsrutin. I den första testperioden användes endast min egen målmedvetenhet, vilket i samband med dåliga dagsrutiner ledde till ett misslyckande. I den andra testperioden kombinerades min målmedvetenhet med hälsosamma dagsrutiner i form av sund dygnsrytm, regelbunden motion och vila, vilket ledde till att övningsrutinen lättare kunde upprätthållas under fyra veckor. Detta ledde i sin tur till att jag kände mig friare i mitt konstnärliga uttryck vid det sista framförandet. Arbetets resultat tyder på att fördelarna av en hälsosam dagsrutin bör tas i beaktning vid skapandet av en längre övningsrutin vilket i slutändan kan leda till större frihet i det konstnärliga uttrycket. / In this study individual practicing will be examined to see how it is affected by a healthy daily routine. How aspects like rest, sleep, exercise, and will affect practicing is not always self-evident for musicians, even if research in the area is extensive. The purpose with this study is to find out how much will, stress, sleep, exercise, and rest affect my practice routine. The goal with the practice routine was to be able to practice for five hours, six days a week during a longer period. The hope was that the extending of practice time would lead to a greater liberty in my playing and in my artistic expression. To follow the artistic development three performances of the same piece were made at different times: the first before the first trial period, the second after the first trial period, and the third after the second trial period. In the study two test periods were compared to examine the difference between using only motivation versus having a healthy daily routine. In the first trial period my determination was the only maintaining factor, which in combination with a poor daily routine led to failure. The second trial period combined my determination with a healthy daily routine in the form of proper sleep patterns, regular exercise, and rest, which led to an easier maintenance of the practice routine for four weeks. This led to me experiencing a greater freedom in my artistic expression in the last performance. The result of this study suggests that the benefits of a healthier daily routine should be considered when creating a longer practice routine which in turn can lead to a greater freedom in artistic expression.

Strong sustainability requires enhanced knowledge and understanding of complex social-ecological interactions, but it also implies a ‘novel’ conceptualization of the relationship between humans and nature, one in which individuals perceive themselves as embedded members of the Biosphere. The aim of this Licentiate thesis is to investigate the validity of a strategy that is centered on designing the urban green infrastructure to nurture such human-nature relationship in children’s attitudes. The research is framed by spatial cognition, conservation psychology, and social-ecological sustainability and it focuses on the validity of this strategy. Hence, the Licentiate analyzes how reoccurring experiences of nature that are situated in the everyday habitat (i.e. nature routines) affect personal human-nature attitudes and how these can be implemented as leverage points to change social-ecological systems using sustainable urbanism. Paper 1 tests the assumed link between the nature routines in Stockholm and preschool children’s development of cognitive and emotional affinity to nature. The results show that nature-rich routines over a period of four years are significantly correlated with the strength of preschooler’s affinity with nature. Paper 2 uses a mixed methods approach to evaluate changes in Connection To Nature (CTN) in 10 years olds who partake in a project of nature conservation. The results of Paper 2 show that there is an evaluative gap between theory and practice in connecting children with nature that impedes the evaluation of how children’s CTN changes over short periods of time and that impedes the creation of an evaluative framework for nature experiences. Paper 3 considers these empirical results in theorizing an approach to sustainable urban design based on social-ecological sustainability that includes CTN. In order to overcome existing limitations Paper 3 presents the concept of cognitive affordances as a theoretical tool to embed cognitive and emotional attitudes towards nature into the design of urban spaces. All combined these papers provide valid evidence that nature routines in cities, especially for children, can be a significant leverage point to enable future sustainable civilizations.

The thesis deals with different types of smile of an infant during its early interaction with mother; or more specifically, it focuses on occurrence of smiles during social game routines as compared to other individual interactions, while also mapping the effect of mother's stimulating touch. The predictions were tested on data obtained by a quasi-experimental study, where natural interaction of 32 dyads of mothers with their four-month-old infants was coded for the occurrence and duration of four types of smile (simple, duchenne, play, and duplay), social game routines, and stimulating touch. The results showed the presence of all observed smiles in four-months old infants. Furthermore, there was a significantly higher incidence of all types of smiles during individual interactions as compared to social game routines, and at the same time the association of smiles with mother's stimulating touch was confirmed.
