Methodik und Referenzarchitektur zur inkrementellen Verbesserung der Metaqualität einer vertragsgebundenen, heterogenen und verteilten Dienstausführung / Method and reference architecture for the incremental improvement of the meta-quality of a contract-bound, heterogeneous and distributed service execution

Spillner, Josef 04 August 2016 (has links) (PDF)
A holistic consideration of the qualitative composition of descriptive artefacts in the Internet of Services through specifically designed service platforms increases the quality of experience for the users of the offered services. In this dissertation, the existing methods for the recognition, propagation and improvement of quality metrics in service-oriented architectures are systematically included in methods related to these increased requirements. The work delivers two scientific contributions. The first one encompasses a concept for the incremental improvement of quality of services via the use of runtime mechanisms for the dynamic description and rating of non-functional properties. The second one carries a definition of an abstract interplay of architecture patterns and processes for the contractually safeguarded guarantee of quality of service properties in service ecosystems in the form of a reference architecture.

Suporte ao desenvolvimento e à composição de serviços web semânticos para a análise de expressão gênica / Support to the development and composition of semantic web services for gene expression analysis

Guardia, Gabriela Der Agopian 12 August 2016 (has links)
O uso da plataforma SemanticSCo facilitou a definição destes cenários, permitindo assim a reprodução dos resultados obtidos a partir de diferentes estudos de expressão gênica previamente documentados na literatura / Gene expression studies usually involve the creation of integrated analysis processes for obtaining responses for a biological question. The creation of such processes often require the combined use of a number of software tools. However, the manual integration of tools can be cumbersome and error prone due to the increasing number of tools and data formats available in the domain. In order to automate the integration process, some approaches have been proposed for the adaptation of existing analysis tools as semantic web services as well as for the development of software environments to support the integration (composition) of semantic web services. Although these approaches present advances, to the best of our knowledge, no suitable solution has been proposed for the development and composition of web services in the functional genomics domain. In this context, this project aimed at investigating a complete solution for the development and composition of semantic web services to support gene expression analysis. As part of the proposed solution, we have defined an integrated methodology for the implementation of semantic web services created from existing software tools and the semantic annotation of such services. Our methodology provides concrete guidelines for the systematic development of services, also taking into account the main technical aspects associated with the development process. This methodology has been applied in the development of a representative set of services that support the main analysis activities performed on different types of gene expression data. Complementary to our methodology, we have defined a complete solution for the semantic composition of web services in the gene expression analysis domain. The proposed solution has been implemented in a software platform to support the semi-automatic composition of semantic web services, named SemanticSCo. This platform provides flexible support to all activities involved in the service composition process including service creation, publication, request, discovery, selection, composition and execution. Additionally, the SemanticSCo platform has been designed to support different types of users, including biologists and bioinformaticians. In this sense, the platform provides users with a high level of abstraction in the definition of their analysis processes, thus allowing them to focus more on biological research issues rather than on underlying details of the composition process. In addition, the SemanticSCo platform supports not only the definition and incorporation of (simple) services defined in terms of a single operation, but also (complex) services defined in terms of a set of conditions that constrain the order in which service operations should be invoked. Finally, in order to evaluate the developed support platform, we have defined a number of composition scenarios for the (integrated) analysis of gene expression data. The use of the SemanticSCo platform has facilitated the definition of these scenarios, thus allowing the reproduction of the results obtained from different gene expression studies previously documented in the literature.

A distributed service delivery platform for automotive environments : enhancing communication capabilities of an M2M service platform for automotive application

Glaab, Markus January 2018 (has links)
The automotive domain is changing. On the way to more convenient, safe, and efficient vehicles, the role of electronic controllers and particularly software has increased significantly for many years, and vehicles have become software-intensive systems. Furthermore, vehicles are connected to the Internet to enable Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and enhanced In-Vehicle Infotainment functionalities. This widens the automotive software and system landscape beyond the physical vehicle boundaries to presently include as well external backend servers in the cloud. Moreover, the connectivity facilitates new kinds of distributed functionalities, making the vehicle a part of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and thus an important example for a future Internet of Things (IoT). Manufacturers, however, are confronted with the challenging task of integrating these ever-increasing range of functionalities with heterogeneous or even contradictory requirements into a homogenous overall system. This requires new software platforms and architectural approaches. In this regard, the connectivity to fixed side backend systems not only introduces additional challenges, but also enables new approaches for addressing them. The vehicle-to-backend approaches currently emerging are dominated by proprietary solutions, which is in clear contradiction to the requirements of ITS scenarios which call for interoperability within the broad scope of vehicles and manufacturers. Therefore, this research aims at the development and propagation of a new concept of a universal distributed Automotive Service Delivery Platform (ASDP), as enabler for future automotive functionalities, not limited to ITS applications. Since Machine-to-Machine communication (M2M) is considered as a primary building block for the IoT, emergent standards such as the oneM2M service platform are selected as the initial architectural hypothesis for the realisation of an ASDP. Accordingly, this project describes a oneM2M-based ASDP as a reference configuration of the oneM2M service platform for automotive environments. In the research, the general applicability of the oneM2M service platform for the proposed ASDP is shown. However, the research also identifies shortcomings of the current oneM2M platform with respect to the capabilities needed for efficient communication and data exchange policies. It is pointed out that, for example, distributed traffic efficiency or vehicle maintenance functionalities are not efficiently treated by the standard. This may also have negative privacy impacts. Following this analysis, this research proposes novel enhancements to the oneM2M service platform, such as application-data-dependent criteria for data exchange and policy aggregation. The feasibility and advancements of the newly proposed approach are evaluated by means of proof-of-concept implementation and experiments with selected automotive scenarios. The results show the benefits of the proposed enhancements for a oneM2M-based ASDP, without neglecting to indicate their advantages for other domains of the oneM2M landscape where they could be applied as well.

Digital Service through Sharing Economy to Sustainability : A car sharing case in Suzhou, China

Zhao, Rui, Dia, Uzezi January 2017 (has links)
The rapid increase in car ownership has caused rigorous issues for people living in the major cities in China, which is observe from traffic pressure, the inconvenience of city travelling, and air pollution. While the fast development of digital service platforms based on the Internet provides an alternative approach to touch the problems, leading a researchable phenomenon, online car-sharing service in China. This paper strives to explore the impact of car sharing on millennial sustainability attitudes by using the daily service on apps to ‘drive less, share more’. The paper is conducted using mixed research methods in Suzhou, China. Principally, the researchers interviewed ten car- sharing consumers during shared ride. To ensure the creditability and reliability, the paper collected 326 online survey responses from local car-sharing platforms as comparable data. The results show that most millennials agree car-sharing service makes their traffic modes more convenient, and taking shared ride more compared to self-driving has a significant influence on social and environmental issues in cities. Also, some respondents present willingness or already take actions on giving up car ownerships. However, the result also emphasises the fundamental reasons for millennials to participate in car-sharing service, which is personalised service and reasonable price. The paper closes with three outcomes, sharing economy as ‘Development’, digital service as ‘Innovation’, and sustainability as ‘The future’. They not only enrich the current literature research between Millennials and sharing economy, but also promote further strategies for car-sharing companies with empirical data.

Lin, Jia Li Unknown Date (has links)
From 2007 to 2015, visitors to Taiwan increased from 3.71 million to more than 10 million. As a result, foreign exchange earnings from tourism surged by 2.6 times, from NT$17.12 billion (US$521.95 million) to an estimated NT$44.50 billion (US$1.36 billion). These results and reviews demonstrate that Taiwan is becoming a major destination for travelers worldwide. Car carter service become a popular way for visitors to explore Taiwan on their own, therefore more and more online car carter service platforms are being set up. Platform pricing model is not set up by user charge alone, how users interact on the platform is also considered. Platform controller attract users who can cause positive cross-side network effect by offering them better price so that they can attract users who are willing to pay the fee. This research depends on two-side market theory to explain how online car carter platforms attract users to enter their platforms, design interaction mechanism and set rules to allow users to use platforms easily. Depending on different point of views, every online car carter service platform has its own design. Therefore, this research also depends on the business model and the eco-system on platform theory to analyze car carter service platform. After understanding how platforms design interaction mechanism, platform pricing model is then discussed. Every platform has its own pricing model, because of different design. This research analyzes platform pricing model by subsidy rules from previous studies. By analyzing three online car carter service platform cases, this research concludes that platforms have different interacting mechanisms because of website design purpose and user dating purpose. This research demonstrates which subsidy rules are used on online dating platform and how these platform create their own eco-system to maintain the platform.

線上遊戲之雲端服務平台發展研究 - 以台灣Z公司為例 / A research on development of the online game cloud service platform - a case study of Taiwan's Z Company

Fu, Hui Chuan Unknown Date (has links)
This report is the research and investigation of the cloud computing platform development in online game industry. We find that online game is still the mainstream as well as a developed product under the paid mechanisms through the condition and trend of online game industry. However, because of the impact of SNS website game and App game, the online game no longer just a hug online game or develop by big companies, instead the medium and small groups can develop the online game as well now. We find out that there are some unites in the literature investigated the development process and industrial value chain of online fit in with the function of cloud computing and its framework. In addition, we will do the detailed analysis of production developing process and operation value to correspond to the function and framework of cloud computing, analyze the value and benefit the cloud computer can do to improve the beginning and consumption-side of online game and its possible function and service mode for online game. The online game needs huge quantity of data in document and object, so the need of instant cloud computing is high. For that reason, when develop the software and hardware, the medium and small groups need to reduce the cost. Moreover, they need the server that can use in both new software and hardware, the backup, un-interruptible power supply and the feature of operating normally while doing the maintenance, modification, debug, etc. So, in the trend of current cloud computing, one of the predictable development opportunity is have the cloud computing platform service that can help to develop and operate online game. In the end, the study will take the case study of cloud computing platform that have released online game as example, correspond to the relevant framework and analysis from the previous online game and the function and framework of cloud computing and finally give the suggests and conclusion to the case company, which is taking great amount of instant cloud computing as core ability, provide cross-field services, use core technology development transformation and cooperation service mode, The use of HTML5 or Yahoo's YUI technology put in all effort to earn the new market of online game and research and develop the cloud computer server engine. Other than that, we also bring up the individual professional service that can develop in the cloud computing platform of online game such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and the suggestions and conclusions relate to the flexible and assembling-based complex cloud service.
