Historielärobokens föreställningar : Påbjuden identifikation och genreförändring i den obligatoriska skolan 1870–2000Gustafson, Jörgen January 2017 (has links)
This thesis sets out to address the question: How is Swedish history put forward as expected identification in history textbooks for the years of compulsory schooling and how did this change during the period 1870-2000? This question is legitimate since the writing of history is a form of meaning-creation that is built through the merging of different components (place, time, actors, objectives, etc.) into a coherent narrative. The writing of history is therefore a form of power. The study include a quantitative total enquiry into all published history textbooks in Sweden between 1870-2000 aimed at compulsory schooling, as well as läroverk and gymnasium. In aim to map out and analyse the framing patterns displayed by the genre in order to answer questions about its characteristics and find out which have been the dominant history textbooks. These have formed basis for the qualitative investigation. The genre has its own clear inherent components such as images which are used over a very long time and found in book after book and publisher after publisher. The genre of history textbooks has an independence in relation to current research in academia and equally The only time there is a fundamental change is after the 1950s and then the whole school system had been recast, but after a while the greater part of the elements under study returned. The results of the thesis point to the consumer side as being what largely upholds the tradition of the genre. A clear change is the significantly increased female representation during the 1990s. When the female representation is portrayed, it is more connected to traditional female values such as family than ever before. I argue that this is a consequence of the gender system’s logic of separation. When there is more space given to female representation, it becomes increasingly important to mark the boundaries between the female and the male.

The place of the laboratory material and working methods in teaching materials and teaching : A qualitative study that examines how laboratory material and working methods are highlighted and treated in the field of fraction in different teaching materials, and how teachers describe that they teach based on thisElin, Tarakkamäki, Sanna, Jaska January 2020 (has links)
The study aims to gain knowledge about how laboratory material and working methods are highlighted and treated in the field of fraction in different teaching materials, and how teachers describe that they teach based on this. In order to collect data, we have used method triangulation in the form of examination of teaching material and interviews. The teaching materials that have been examined are Favorite Mathematics, Eldorado and Prima Mathematics. To broaden the knowledge in the field, teacher 's who were active users of these teaching materials were interviewed in their teaching. Using the theory of variation, we have also analyzed the laboratory elements in the teaching materials to look at its relevance in relation to the variation patterns of contrast and generalization and thus how pupils' learning is promoted through the proposed teaching methods. The result shows that the three study materials examined differ at the same time as they have many similarities. All teaching materials have taken into account that the laboratory material needs to take place in the teaching in one way or another. These teaching materials allow students to explore with some kind of laboratory material. The study's conclusion thus becomes that we can see that the teaching aids, in one way or another, contribute with laboratory material and working methods. Based on variation theory's approach to learning, Eldorado's laboratory approach fits best with the variation patterns we examined.

Elektronické knihy na VŠE / Electronic books at VŠESaska, Filip January 2012 (has links)
The master dissertation Electronic books at VSE is focused on analysing the opportunities of e-books in the environment of VSE. The aim is to describe the current state of different study materials used at VSE and to explore different ways of improving them using e-book technology. The dissertation briefly describes various attributes of e-books with stress on the relevant attributes -- the possibility of inserting notes, bookmarks, multimedia and interactive content. Also the possibility of editing the content and sharing resulting changes with other students is a key attribute. The dissertation then moves on to describe the different kinds of study materials that are in use at VSE. The second half of the dissertation builds on previous analysis of the study materials and introduces a hypothetical optimal state, which could result from implementing e-book technology. This state is the answers the question of what is actually possible to achieve. The next chapter in this half is the technical analysis, which answers the question of how is it possible to achieve the suggested hypothetical state. The conclusion of this dissertation answers the questions whether the proposed solution is a viable candidate for implementation. The results of this dissertation could be used as a guideline for the project of implementation of e-book technology in the environment of VSE.

Hur normer förmedlas i läroböcker inom samhällskunskap : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av normkritiskt perspektiv med fokus på familjekonstellationer, funktionsförmåga, kön/genus och vit/icke vithet / How norms are mediated in study material in the social sciences : A qualitative content analysis of norm-critical perspective focusing on fam-ily constellations, ability to function, gender/non-binary gender persons and white/non-whitenessBöjeryd, Julia January 2020 (has links)
The study’s purpose has been to attract attention and facilitate discussion regarding norms that are present in text books in the social science for upper primary school. The theoretical premiss has been a normcritical perspective based on queer theory, social constructionism and intersectionality. The study’s conclusion is based on content analysis (text and image) of four text books. The method that was chosen were qualitative analysis with quantitative ingredients. This study was limited to family constellations, ability to function, gender/non-binary gender persons and white/non white persons. In summary, the text books shows several normcritical perspectives. The results differ from earlier studies since one out of four study material is female dominant. The most common family constellation that appeared was the nuclear family. All study materials was dominated by white persons, additionally there were persons with disabilities: visual impairment (glasses). Other disabilities were absent.

Genus, familjekonstellation ochsexuell läggning i läromedel församhällskunskap årskurs 4–6 : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys där läromedels uppvisande avheteronormativitet undersöks / Gender, family constellation and sexual orientation in instructionalmaterials for social studies year 4–6 : A qualitative content analysis where the instructional materials display ofheteronormativity is examinedÖsterberg, Emma January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the meaning of a heteronormative in schoolenvironments. The purpose is also to investigate whether the examined curriculum materialsin social studies for grades 4–6 display a heteronormative and how different types of gender, family constellations and sexual orientation are displayed in curriculum materials in socialstudies for that age group. The conclusion is based on a textual and visual analysis of fourdifferent curriculum materials in social studies. Methodological triangulation is used to makeit easier to discover whether they are heteronormative. The survey is based on a qualitativeanalysis with quantitative elements. As both the text and visuals have been examined, it wasnot enough to only use one measurement method. The quantitative method was used toanswer the frequency of the appearance of gender, family constellation and sexual orientationin the curriculum materials. To answer the issue on whether the teaching materials areheteronormative or not, the qualitative method was used. The main result shows that all examined instructional materials display men and women, nuclear families and heterosexuals the majority of times. Based on the result, it also appearsthat the instructional materials, in one way or another, are heteronormative.
