The principal objective of this study was to explore what rhetorical strategies and stylistic devices Presidents Dalia Grybauskaitė and Barack Obama use in their political speeches and how these devices help them to gain the audience’s attention and render the message. The speeches of the two Presidents Dalia Grybauskaitė and B. Obama were analyzed in order to highlight the patterns of the usage of rhetorical strategies and to investigate the stylistic devices which are aimed at making speech more emphatic, expressive and persuasive. The method chosen for the study was content analysis including generalization and evaluation of the results. The results of the research showed a significant contribution of stylistic means to persuade the listeners on an emotional level or even to manipulate them. The next step of the study must be conducted to determine stylistic means which can influence rhythmical feature of the speech. / Magistro darbo tikslas- išryškinti retorinių strategijų modelius, ištirti stilistines priemones, kurios yra naudojamos prezidentų Dalios Grybauskaitės ir Barako Obamos politinėse kalbose ir kaip jos padeda įgyti auditorijos palankumą, iškelti svarbias problemas ir kartu įtikinti visuomenę savo idėjomis emociškai manipuliuojant. Analizuojant kalbas buvo atliktos lyginamoji, turinio, diskurso, taip pat apibendrinimo ir vertinimo analizės. Gauti rezultatai patvirtina, kad prezidentai, siekdami savo tikslų per politinę retoriką, bando manipuliuoti auditorijos įsitikinimais ir taip paveikti visuomenės veiksmus. Kitas žingsnis turėtų būti atliekamas siekiant nustatyti tas stilistines priemones naudojamas kalbose, kurios turi įtakos kalbos ritmiškumui.

Förstår du vad vi menar? : En kvalitativ textanalys av Länsstyrelsen i Jönköpings externkommunikation före och efter Klarspråksprojektets införandeIsaksson, Sofia, Amrén, Ida January 2015 (has links)
År 2009 införde Justitiedepartementet Klarspråk i Jönköping. Klarspråk är ett projekt med ett självkontrollstest och riktlinjer för hur myndigheter ska kommunicera till allmänheten med ett enkelt och tydligt språk. Syftet med denna studie är att jämföra om Länsstyrelsen i Jönköpings skriftliga ex-ternkommunikation har förändrats sedan Klarspråksprojektet infördes år 2009 i Jönkö-ping. Genom en kvalitativ textanalys och ett strategiskt urval kommer sex handlingar från Länsstyrelsen i Jönköping analyseras. Tre handlingar före och tre handlingar efter år 2009. Handlingarna är reella dokument som avser beslut om djurhållning i Jönköpings län. Texterna analyseras och jämförs med hjälp av Klarspråksprojektets självkontrollstest och riktlinjer samt genom en stilistisk analys tillsammans med den linjära kommunika-tionsmodellen. Resultatet kommer därefter förklaras med hjälp av teorin organisationskul-tur och Jacobsen och Thorsviks organisationsmodell i kapitlet resultatdiskussion. Resultatet visar att det inte har skett någon märkbar förändring i Länsstyrelsens ex-ternkommunikation. Det som går att utläsa är att det har gjorts försök men att det ännu inte följer Klarspråksprojektets riktlinjer för ett mer mottagaranpassat språk. Ur ett stilis-tiskt perspektiv går det att se en förändring i hur mottagaren tilltalas samt hur sändaren benämner sig själv i handlingarna. Analysen bekräftar även att Länsstyrelsen i Jönköping har haft mottagaren i åtanke när de har förmedlat sitt beslut vilket är en bra utgångspunkt för en konstruktiv kommunikation. / In 2009 the Swedish Justice Department introduced project "Klarspråk", in translation “easy lan-guage”, consisting of a set of informative tools and guidelines meant to improve communication between government agencies and the public. Its core message was to use clear and simple lan-guage that all recipients comprehend. Purpose of study is to compare if a government entity in the county of Jönköping called Länsstyrelsen, changed written external communication since Klarspråk was implemented. Through a qualitative text analysis and strategic selection, six documents originating from Länsstyrelsen in Jönköping's agricultural division, is analyzed. Three documents before the turn of the year 2009, and three after. The documents used for this study are correspondence relating to decisions made in regards to animal treatment in the county boundaries of Jönköping. By comparison analysis the documents are evaluated against Klarspråk guidelines, and through a stylistic examination, assessed against the linear communication model. In conclusion, the result is explained through the theory of organiza-tional culture and Jacobsen and Thorsvik's (2008) pertaining model. Results show there has not been any significant change in the format of Länsstyrelsen's external communication. Documents show attempts were made to simplify language, yet Klarspråk's pro-consumer guidelines were not consistently followed. From a stylistic aspect there was improvement to how the recipient is titled in documents and originator promotes itself. In conclusion, Länsstyrelsen in Jönköping county indeed makes effort in their attempts to improve its external communication, and even with its flaws it is the beginning of constructive communication.

The purpose of the study was to design and evaluate materials for integrating musical concepts and stylistic concepts into the high school choral rehearsal. Need for the study was established by examining related literature and by means of a survey of Texas high school choral directors. A systems approach model of curriculum development, consisting of a ten-step procedural outline, was adopted for formulation of the study. The following criteria for the curriculum, called Integrated Musical Information for Choirs (IMIC), were set: (1) Materials should be in the hands of each student; (2) Materials would relate directly to music being performed by the choir; (3) Use of the materials should assist the teacher in organizing his/her work; (4) Teachers should be able to put materials into use without adaptation; (5) Teachers' out-of-class preparation should be minimal.

La présente thèse est l’édition critique d’un recueil de figures de style anonyme protobyzantin des Ve-VIe siècles, De figuris orationis (Rhetores Graeci, III, édit. L. Spengel, Leipzig, Teubner, 1856, p. 110-160). L’auteur, un professeur, entreprend pour son élève un recensement des figures hermogéniennes en arguant de l’excellence d’Hermogène. Il s’agit de figures apparaissant aussi dans le Corpus rhetoricum (Corpus rhetoricum, édit. M. Patillon, Paris, Les Belles Lettres, 2008-2014), dans le traité sur l’invention (De inuentione (C. rhet.III1)) du Pseudo-Hermogène et dans le traité sur les catégories stylistiques du discours (Deideis (C. rhet. IV)) d’Hermogène. Le recueil a ensuite été augmenté d’un relevé de figures inhabituelles à partir des scolies de l’Iliade, où se glissent d’autres types de figures et des considérations annexes. Previous issue date: 2016-02-05 / O presente estudo analisa duas obras saramaguianas, a fim de confrontar o estilo presente nas mesmas, sendo elas Memorial do Convento (1982) e Todos os Nomes (1997). É feito um trabalho comparativo entre essas produções artísticas, por meio da atenção aos traços estruturais e estilísticos, procurando destacar semelhanças e diferenças. Cabe ressaltar que a pesquisa está embasada na Estilística, destacando-se os estudos ligados à Estilística Idealista, como os de Leo Spitzer e Dámaso Alonso. O objetivo desta dissertação é focalizar os recursos estruturais e estilísticos empregados na composição textual de categorias como foco narrativo, espaço, tempo, personagens e figuras de linguagem das obras mencionadas. A partir das análises realizadas, são verificados quais torneios Saramago empregou naqueles romances e o efeito produzido, enfatizando-se, por meio da comparação, os traços estilísticos presentes, com vistas a sondar como ocorre a ressimplificação de seu estilo ao longo dos anos, sugerida nos estudos críticos de Ana Paula Arnaut. / The present essay analyses two Saramago’s literary work, in order to confront the style presented in both, Memorial do Convento (1982) and Todos os Nomes (1997). It is done a comparative essay between these two artistic productions, through the attention of structural and stylistic traits, trying to stand out similarities and differences. It is important to highlight that the research is based on Stylistics, emphasizing the studies linked to Idealistic Stylistics, like the ones from Leo Spitzer and Dámaso Alonso. The aim of this dissertation is to focus the structural and stylistic resources used in textual composition of categories like narrative mode, place, time, characters and figures of speech from the books mentioned. From the carried out analyses, are verified which resources Saramago used in those romances and the effect produced, emphasizing through the comparison, the stylistic traits, with views to evaluate how it occurs the re-simplification in his style throughout the years, suggested in the critical studies of Ana Paula Arnaut.

For this, the stylistic analyses is used as we verify the modalitics of temporal representation contained in the poetic structure and from which the themes of love, eroticismo, death and social relations are derived. There is a maturation in the author's production, showed by her existencial conclusion seen in her trajectory through social temporality, individual time and the proposal of a temporality which might bring to the present the subject's identity. In these terms, there is a up-to-dating of the time represented in the search from the word that is situated between the subject and his/her reality.

Previous issue date: 2016-07-27 / A adaptação cinematográfica passou a ser, há décadas, um dos expedientes mais vantajosos e lucrativos da indústria do cinema. E tal fenômeno não é recente. Filmes “inspirados” em obras literárias acompanham toda a história do cinema. Há muito, um gênero específico - que mais tarde seria chamado de noir - despontava como uma fonte para adaptações a partir de contos e romances publicados em livros ou revistas populares. O noir cinematográfico, gênero cujo apogeu se deu no início da década de 40 até o final dos anos 50, tendo sua “origem” nas letras, hoje espraia-se em produções nos dois meios, a literatura e o cinema, mostrando-se em uma relação simbiótica, recíproca de inflexões. Tal fenômeno como o noir não aconteceu somente nos Estados Unidos, ou melhor, trata-se de algo transnacional. No Brasil, algumas obras de ficção noir também expressaram uma permanente relação entre cinema e literatura, como nas obras de Rubem Fonseca. Este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma análise estilística do filme Bellini e a Esfinge, adaptação literária do romance homônimo de Tony Bellotto, cotejando-o com filmes clássicos do gênero noir. Busca-se, ainda, situar o filme, dirigido por Santucci em um “caso” em que a relação com a “matriz” norte-americana absorve e se associa a outros vieses audiovisuais, o que nos convida a alargar a dimensão do olhar para a questão da adaptação. Como base teórica recorremos ao problema da intertextualidade, em autores como Mikhail Bakhtin, Júlia Kristeva e Ingedore Koch. Para a análise fílmica, recorreremos a David Bordwel e Jaques Amont, entre outros. / The film adaptation has become, for decades, one of the most advantageous and profitable expedients of the cinema industry. And this isn't a new phenomenon. "Inspired" movies in literary works to be the entire history of cinema. A specific genre - called noir - emerged as a source for adaptations from novels and short stories published in popular books or magazines. The noir genre whose heyday occurred in the early 40s to the late 50s, with its "origin" in the lyrics, now spreads into production in two different media, literature and cinema, showing up in a symbiotic relationship and mutual inflections. The noir phenomenon is not only happened in the United States of America, it is transnational phenomenon. In Brazil, for example, some noir fiction also expressed an ongoing relationship between cinema and literature, as with Rubem Fonseca literary works. This research aims to make a stylistic analysis of the film "Bellini and the Sphynx", literary adaptation of the novel by Tony Bellotto, comparing it with classic film noir genre. Is souch also situate the film, directed by Santucciem a "case" in which the relationship with the "matrix" American absorbs and is associated with other audiovisual biases, which invites us to expand to see the size issues of adaptations. As a theoretical basis appealed to the problem of intertextuality in authors such as Mikhail Bakhtin, Julia Kristeva and Ingedore Koch. For film analysis, the theoretical basis turn important to study David Bordwel and Jaques Amont and others.

The hypothesis of matching about styles of learning and teaching at Higher Education / El ajuste instructivo entre estilos de aprendizaje y enseñanza en la universidadVentura, Ana Clara 25 September 2017 (has links)
A review of learning and teaching styles matching at university over the last ten years is presented. For this purpose, a review was carried out of the Dialnet, Redalyc, Scielo and Doaj data bases due to their scope and importance in the Hispanic context. The descriptors used in the search for information were the key words: learning styles, teaching styles and higher education. The data bases consulted produced a total of 53 papers, with only 17 of these complying with all the criteria for inclusion (paper: empirical research; sample: university;object: correspondence learning and teaching styles; time period 2002-2012; Spanish language). The literature review showed that the matching is researched and understanding from two approaches: (1) adaptive instruction or (2) stylistics. Results are discussed. / Se presenta una revisión de artículos empíricos sobre el ajuste instructivo entre estilos de aprendizaje y estilos de enseñanza en la universidad (2002-2012). Se consultaron las bases dedatos Dialnet, Redalyc, Scielo y Doaj debido a su impacto en el contexto latinoamericano. Los descriptores fueron: “estilos de aprendizaje”, “estilos de enseñanza” y “universidad”. Se identificaron 53 artículos, de los cuales 17 cumplían los criterios de inclusión (artículo:empírico; muestra: universitaria, objeto: ajuste estilos de aprendizaje y de enseñanza, recortetemporal, idioma español). La revisión de la literatura mostró que el ajuste se investiga,entiende y aborda desde dos líneas: (1) la instrucción adaptativa o (2) la estilística. Se discuten los resultados.
