Familjens närvaro vid återupplivning : En litteraturöversikt av sjuksköterskors erfarenheter / Family presence during resuscitation : A literature review of nurses' experiences

Background: The new guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation states that the family should be given the opportunity to be present at the resuscitation of a close relative. A cardiac arrest is an emotional experience for the family. In addition to being part of the resuscitation effort, the nurse also needs to take care of the family. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses' experiences of family presence during resuscitation. Method: A literature review has been made of 13 studies where differences and similarities were analyzed. The articles were published between the years of 2009 – 2013 Result: The nurses' experiences were divided into three categories; Factors that affect family presence, The nurse' experience surrounding the presence of the family, Factors affecting family presence in the resuscitation room. The result showed that, the feeling of confidence, the ability to work under stressful conditions, the reactions of the family and external prerequisites and the presences of a family support person were important. All nurses had unique experiences that influenced their attitudes towards family presence during resuscitation. Conclusion: Every resuscitation is unique and the family's presence should be evaluated. The need for a family support person was identified as an important factor to ease the family's presence. Local protocols should be created that clearly states the decision process and whom become the family support person. Travelbee's nursing theory facilitates the comprehension of the interactions between the family and the nurse.

Vårdpersonalens erfarenheter av och uppfattningar om stödpersonens roll och betydelse för patienter inom psykiatrisk tvångsvård : En kvalitativ intervjustudie

Bakgrund: Stödpersoner är en utomstående resurs som är frikopplad vårdapparaten och kan tilldelas patienter som vårdas under psykiatrisk tvångsvård. Stödpersonens arbete syftar till att stötta patienten i en sårbar period i livet genom social interaktion och uppmuntran. Syfte: Att undersöka vårdpersonalens erfarenheter av och uppfattningar om stödpersonens roll och betydelse för patienter inom psykiatriskt tvångsvård. Metod: Deskriptiv design med en kvalitativ ansats. Som datainsamlingsmetod användes intervjuer med nio öppna frågor. Ett bekvämlighetsurval gjordes för att uppnå åtta informanter ur vårdpersonalen på en psykiatrisk avdelning. Som analysmetod användes innehållsanalys. Joyce Travelbees omvårdnadsteori användes som utgångspunkt. Resultat: Vårdpersonalen hade överlag, trots viss variation, god kunskap och erfarenhet av stödpersoner och deras roll. Stödpersonen uppfattades också ha en generellt positiv och stärkande roll för patienten. Slutsats: Vårdpersonalen visste att stödpersoner fanns men det rådde viss oklarhet i vad som ingick i deras arbetsuppgifter. Stödpersoner uppfattades dock ha en meningsfull roll i patientens välbefinnande. Den upplevda känslan var att stödpersonen kunde bidra med ett medmänskligt stöd i en utsatt situation och att det var av stor betydelse för patienten. / Background: Support persons are an outside resource who are disconnected from the healthcare system and can be assigned to patients who are cared for during involuntary treatment. The support person's work aims to support the patient in an vulnerable period in life through social interaction and encouragement. Purpose: To investigate the healthcare staff's experience and opinions about the support person's role and importance for patients in psychiatric compulsory care. Methods: Descriptive design with a qualitative approach. As a data collection method, interviews with nine open ended questions were used. A convenience selection was made to achieve eight informants from the healthcare staff at a psychiatric department. As analysis method, content analysis was used. Joyce Travelbees' nursing theory was used as a starting point. Results: Overall, the healthcare staff had good knowledge and experience of support persons and their role, despite some variation. The support person was also perceived to have a generally positive and strengthening role for the patient. Conclusion: The healthcare staff knew that support persons existed, but there was some uncertainty in what was included in their duties. However, support persons were perceived to have a meaningful role in the patient's well-being. The feeling was that the support person could contribute with a charitable support in a vulnerable situation and that it was of great importance to the patient

Bakgrund: Många kvinnor upplever förlossningsrädsla. Föda utan rädsla är en naturlig metod som främjar trygghet och optimerar födandets fysiologi och stärker det positiva i förlossningsupplevelsen. Kvinnans stödperson har en viktig roll under förlossningsarbetet.Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva och undersöka om användandet av metoden Föda utan rädsla (FUR) påverkar den födande kvinnans upplevda vårdkvalitet samt upplevelse och känslor i samband med förlossningen jämfört med tidigare insamlat material.Metod: Mixad metod av fall-kontrollstudie med kvantitativ ansats och en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med induktiv metod. Data samlades in genom QPP-I-enkät och analyserades genom Mann Whitney U-test.Resultat: De kvinnor som upplevde god effekt av FUR upplevde bättre stöd från personal, att partnern fick bättre stöd, uppmuntrades att delta och fick sina fysiska behov tillgodosedda under förlossningen. Kvinnorna upplevde även andra faktorer som påverkade den upplevda vårdkvaliteten.Slutsats: Genom förberedelse i FUR-metoden kan det födande paret upplevaökad trygghet och självförtroende inför förlossning och förlossningsrädsla kan motverkas. FUR kan ge upplevelse av ett bättre bemötande från personal, ökat stöd och respekt. Partnern blir stärkt i sin roll, vågar ta plats och ge stöd till den födande kvinnan.Klinisk tillämpbarhet: FUR-utbildningen är kort och ger en stor vinst tillbaka till både det födande paret samt förlossningspersonalen. / Background: Many women experience fear of childbirth. Confident Birth is a natural method that promotes security and optimizes the physiology of childbirth and strengthens the positive in the birth experience. The woman's support person has an important role during the labor. Aim: The aim is to investigate whether the use of the method Confident Birth affects the woman giving birth's perceived quality of care and delivery experience compared with previously collected material. Method: Mixed method of case-control study with quantitative approach and a qualitative content analysis with inductive method. Data are collected through the QPP-I survey and analyzed by the Mann Whitney U-test. Resultats: Women who experienced good effect of Confident Birth, experienced better support from caregivers, that the partner received better support, was encouraged to participate and had their physical needs met during childbirth. The women also experienced other factors that affected the perceived quality of care. Conclusion: Through preparation in the Confident Birth method, the birthing couple can experience increased security and self-confidence before childbirth and fear of childbirth can be counteracted. Confident Birth can provide an experience of a better response from healthcare personal, increased support and respect. The partner dares to act and provide support to the woman giving birth and the partner´s role is strengthened. Clinical application: Preparation in the Confident Birth method is short and gives a big profit back to both the birth couple and the delivery staff.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att undersöka hur ungdomar upplever betydelsen av sina föräldrars engagemang för ungdomarnas eget välbefinnande. Hur tillgängliga upplever ungdomarna att deras föräldrar är; hur upplever ungdomarna deras samspel med föräldrarna och hur upplever ungdomarna det sociala stöd de får från sina föräldrar? I studien har åtta ungdomar intervjuats om hur de upplever sina föräldrars engagemang och samspel. Av intervjuerna har det bland annat framkommit att samtliga ungdomar ville spendera mer tid med sina föräldrar, att de ville ha möjligheten att prata med sina föräldrar om allt och att de gärna gjorde saker tillsammans. I diskussionen dras slutsatser att ungdomarna i denna studie upplevde att de mådde bättre om de hade möjligheten att pratar med sina föräldrar. Ungdomarna upplevde att bland annat gemensamma intressen, föräldrarnas involvering i ungdomarnas vardag och mängden tid de spenderade tillsammans byggde upp en trygg grund i deras relation och ungdomarna upplevde då att de kunde prata med sina föräldrar. / The aim of the study was to exam how youth experience the importance of their parent’s engagement on their own wellbeing. How available do the children experience that their parents are; how do the children experience their interaction with their parents and how do the children experience the social support they get from their parents? The youth in this study consisted of eight girls and boys that talked about how they experience their parent’s engagement and interaction. From the interviews it emerged that all of the adolescents wanted to spend more time together with their parents, that they wanted to have the chance to talk to their parents about everything and to do things together. The conclusion is that the youth in this study experienced that they felt better if they had the chance to talk to their parents. The youth experienced that inter alia common interests, the parent’s involvement in everyday life and the amount of time they spend together, established a safe base in their relationship and in which the youth perceived that they could talk to their parents.

This diploma thesis examines the development of the number of short-term foster parents in the years 2006-2019. The theoretical part describes the system of substitute family care and institutional care in the Czech Republic and closely introduces the short-term foster care. The research part of this work examines the view of short-time foster carers on the conditions of short-time foster care. In this part the goal is to find out the experiences, attitudes, wishes and needs of short-time foster carers. The used method is questionnaire survey and semi- structured interviews. The aim of this work is to examine what factors affect the number of short-time foster carers and to find out what short-time foster carers need to perform their profession.
