Nietzsche e a PÃs-Modernidade: a questÃo do niilismo entre a metafÃsica de artista e o espÃrito livre / Nietzsche and the PÃt-Modernist: the problem of the niilism bethew the metafhÃsic of the artist and the free espirit

Eduardo Andrà Rodrigues de Lima 26 November 2009 (has links)
This work examines and exposes the parameters of the Nietzscheâs critics to the rationality of Socrates, to the teleological modern ideas and to the value of absolutely truth and focus how it does forges the nihilism conception and does inaugurates the postmodern age. Through those perspectives, this work analyses in the The Birth of Tragedy from the Spirit of Music, the destruction of the tragic myth caused by the devastated effect of Socrates and those correlations with the creation of the metaphysic of the artist; in the The Second Untimely Meditations (On the Use and Abuse of History for Life) it investigates the ideas of history that takes life, in the untimely present, as the most important value and as the opposition of a aprioristic and decadent telos; In Human, all too human, it focus the Nietzscheâs skeptical and its positive attitude as a new model of thinking. We concluded that the Nietzscheâs philosophy deals in a positive way with the nihilism and creates a new model of knowledge beyond the Modern categories of reason constituting an unquestionable path to understand our contemporaneous world as a postmodern age.

Strategic consensus building : A single case study in a merged organization

Buijs, Sonja, Langguth, Julia January 2017 (has links)
Background: Considering high merger failure in the process of strategy implementation, there is a need to elaborate on strategic consensus building during this major organizational change. Purpose: To gain understanding about the strategic consensus building process in a merged organization from a teleological perspective. The premerger influence and the intervening circumstances are expected to affect the process of consensus building. Methodology: A single case study approach was taken by interviewing twelve senior managers from two hierarchical levels as well as five managers from the corporate strategy department of a merged organization to gain a comprehensive understanding of the research topic. Findings: The empirical findings indicated that consensus on strategic priorities is essential for further development of a merged organization. In addition, this study has identified three strategic consensus building facilitators vertical communication, transparency, and agility.

Putting off and putting on: an examination of character information in Colossians 3.1-17 and the spiritualities created in the process

Carlton, David Wayne 09 1900 (has links)
The majority of academic study on the epistle to the Colossians focuses primarily on issues related to Christology, the identification of the heresy that threatened the church, or the ongoing debate surrounding authorship of the epistle. Current research leaves several lacunae in the broader understanding of the writer’s intent with the Colossian epistle. There is very little attention given to the existence of a process by which the Colossian believers can mature in Christ and face any theologically aberrant teachings with a growing faith and solid doctrine. There is also a gap in the research within the field of Christian spirituality regarding the application of specific principles of spirituality to sacred canonical texts and early Christian writings. This thesis seeks to fill these research gaps through the use of socio-rhetorical strategies and principles of Christian spirituality. The primary text for this research is the pericope of Colossians 3.1-17. The research on the epistle examines the pericope for an embedded process of character transformation by which the Colossian believers grow towards Christlikeness. As the Colossians grow in maturity, their lived experience of God changes. There are spiritualities embedded within the text that begin to impact the growth of the believers through the embodiment of the text. The identification of these spiritualities as well as the process of character transformation allows for the filling of research gaps and a richer understanding of the epistle writer’s intent. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / D. Knowing Others: Merleau-Ponty and the Articulation of Difference

Robertson, Mark 09 1900 (has links)
This thesis will explore three related concerns. First (Chapter 1), I discern some of the basic philosophical strategies at work in the Phenomenology of Perception. I will specifically discuss the teleological/ archaeological structure of Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology and his notion of "primordial unity". Second (Chapter 2), I will show how these strategies are manifest in his discussion of the other. And third (Chapter 3), I will consider some of the consequences of Merleau-Ponty's treatment of the other. In particular, I will examine his understanding of difference and plurality. A comparison with Hegel's master/slave dialectic will highlight some possible limitations of Merleau-Ponty's argument. In short, I will answer the following questions: How is the other known, according to Merleau-Ponty, and just how other is this other? / Thesis / Master of Arts (MA)

O controle de constitucionalidade finalístico / Teleological constitutionality control

Viana, Felipe Benedito 21 May 2010 (has links)
This dissertation aims to study the constitutionality control that involves finalities. In this extent, the work intends to identify and analyze which are the main relationships that finalities maintain with juridical norms and other finalities; which factors influence these relationships; which is the position of ordinary legislator in view of Constitution; and what kinds of reasoning the judge apply when dealing with ends. To perform this task, with the support of doctrine and jurisprudence, the dissertation develops some distinctions as: finalities contained in norms and finalities that justify norms; command-norms and endnorms; values and states of affairs; conceptual relationships and causal relationships; promotion and restriction; opposition and divergence; interpretation and concretization, besides attempting to establish some minimum criteria to the decision in finalistic control. On the basis of these concepts, the work studies the so-called deviation of legislative power. In order to apply and exemplify the developed ideas, there are selected some manifestations of judges from Supreme Federal Court in disputes submitted to their appreciation. At last, the dissertation briefly relates the main theme to the following themes: incidental control, decision effects and nature of unconstitutionality.

A interpretação "não literal" das isenções

Freitas, Raquel Bernardes de January 2015 (has links)
The objective of this work is to demonstrate the insufficiency of the exclusive use of the literal method for interpretation of exemptions, and to suggest appropriate interpretative and argumentative criteria that allows no room for arbitrariness, and intensely promotes the purposes for which these standards are intended. Based on the provision of article 111 from CTN, the legal provisions that refer to exemptions must be interpreted literally and the analysis of decisions of the Higher Courts in the country with the national doctrine shows that, in most cases, the literal interpretation is adopted as a way to restrict the incidence of exemptions standards, with no regard to the purposes that are implied. Therefore, by means of an analytical method facing the practice, analyzing the structure and the main features of the exemption rules, it is concluded that in the case of standards as primarily extra tax which relates to the effectiveness of the fundamental rights, the hermeneutic process can not be restricted to literal interpretation. Thus, it is to establish the meaning of the provision in article 111, in order to avoid the purely literal interpretation of the exemptions and to enable the interpreter the use of other interpretative methods for the adequate application of exemption rules. It should allow, in particular, the use of systematic-teleological method, since the exemptions can not be granted, except by reason of a relevant public purpose (constitutionally protected values), which needs to be properly recognized and regarded by the jurisconsult. The hermeneutic process, however, must be approved by a logical-argumentative process that justifies the adoption of such methods.

Selective imitation in infancy: Ideomotor theory or teleological reasoning?

Yang, Yueh Ju Unknown Date (has links)
Selective imitation refers to a phenomenon which infants differentially imitate the demonstrated action in different contexts. Recently, it has also become a popular research topic in developmental psychology. Gergely, Bekkering and Király (2002) uncovered a classic example of selective imitation. They found that infants tend to imitate the action of touching a light box with their forehead when they saw a model perform the action with her hands placed on the table, but not when her hands were restricted by a blanket. Some researchers claim that infants can interpret others’ intention through teleological reasoning, and they consider infants’ imitation is based on decoding of intentionality. Conversely, ideomotor theory argues that imitation depends on difficulty of the action execution and the stability of link between action and its effect. To address the long-standing dispute with infants’ imitation, we revised the paradigm in Gergely et al. (2002) and focused on the concept of causal efficacy which had been long ignored in the past. Infant would find that the demonstrated action, sometimes won’t turn on the light during the experimentation. In experiment 1, we replicated the results obtained in Gergely et al. (2002). Experiment 2A and 2B both found that 18-month-old infants rarely imitated the demonstrated action when the causal efficacy was relatively low. These results are closer to the ideomotor approach viewpoint of imitation, and it reveals that infants’ imitation depends on difficulty of the action execution and the stability of link between action and effect.
