Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2017. / The dissertation on the Management of Municipal Schools in Diamantina, Minas Gerais State (MG): Similarities and Contradictions to implement a Democratic Management has its purpose in disclosing the similarities and contradictions about the implementation of democratic management at the Municipal Education Office, and two Elementary schools in Diamantina. The subject of this study remains on the principle of democratic management established by the Federal Constitution of 1988, also the National Education Plan (2014- 2024) regulated by Law no.13005, June 25th, 2014. The Law has established in goal 19 the period of two years to implement a democratic management. The research has been supported by the theoretical assumptions of Bobbio (2011) who discusses the state and government types and the importance and influence on constitution elaboration. This work also takes into account the analysis of Cury (2007) about the educational right in brazilian constitutions and govermental interventions in the education system. Regarding the methodology, this study is supported by documentary research, bearing in mind that the research was based on legislation, official websites and institutional documents available. In this perspective, the research development occurred in three areas, namely: document selection, access, and analysis of content. Considering the analysis and discussion of information, the content analysis has been chosen based on the theoretical framework of Franco (2005). With respect to the results, it is necessary to consider the short term established for a great organizational and cultural change. However, after an analysis of documents, the similarities and contradictions raised the need of improvement and revisions of some acts. In view of the nature of a professional master program, a framework has been presented, which goal is to establish issues, indicators and strategies related to democratic management to guide a booklet preparation. This framework can lead the municipal manager, school managers and other members of this process, in relation to the points and actions necessary to achieve the goal under analysis.

Hållbarhetsredovisning : En studie om huruvida hållbarhetsredovisningar inom samma bransch är jämförbara / Sustainable reporting : a study of whether sustainability reports within the same industry are possible to compare

Falkenros, Helena, Salih, Melissa January 2017 (has links)

L'application de l'analogie dans l'enseignement du français en Chine / Application of analogy in the teaching of french in China

Zhang, Fang 11 June 2014 (has links)
The analogy refers to a non-coincidental similarity between two things or two ideas of different nature. It is a cognitive process whereby information attached to a specific element is transferred to another specific element, and plays an important role in the process of memorization, communication and problem solving. It is used as a method in many disciplines, it also has its own definition in different areas. In linguistic research, the analogy is also a very interesting topic. According to our research, we find that the analogy has an important influence on the creation and the evolution of a language, when we learn a language, the correct analogy also plays a positive role, it is possible to connect two or more languages by analogy. Therefore, our work is to link French, English and Chinese because French is the language we want to learn, English and Chinese are the languages of reference as these two languages are already spoken by most Chinese students. Through the analogy, we can find similarities between the three languages and these similarities have a positive influence for the study, and also the differences between languages that can be used to train the intercultural competence of learners.

An Improved Density-Based Clustering Algorithm Using Gravity and Aging Approaches

Al-Azab, Fadwa Gamal Mohammed January 2015 (has links)
Density-based clustering is one of the well-known algorithms focusing on grouping samples according to their densities. In the existing density-based clustering algorithms, samples are clustered according to the total number of points within the radius of the defined dense region. This method of determining density, however, provides little knowledge about the similarities among points. Additionally, they are not flexible enough to deal with dynamic data that changes over time. The current study addresses these challenges by proposing a new approach that incorporates new measures to evaluate the attributes similarities while clustering incoming samples rather than considering only the total number of points within a radius. The new approach is developed based on the notion of Gravity where incoming samples are clustered according to the force of their neighbouring samples. The Mass (density) of a cluster is measured using various approaches including the number of neighbouring samples and Silhouette measure. Then, the neighbouring sample with the highest force is the one that pulls in the new incoming sample to be part of that cluster. Taking into account the attribute similarities of points provides more information by accurately defining the dense regions around the incoming samples. Also, it determines the best neighbourhood to which the new sample belongs. In addition, the proposed algorithm introduces a new approach to utilize the memory efficiently. It forms clusters with different shapes over time when dealing with dynamic data. This approach, called Aging, enables the proposed algorithm to utilize the memory efficiently by removing points that are aged if they do not participate in clustering incoming samples, and consequently, changing the shapes of the clusters incrementally. Four experiments are conducted in this study to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm are validated on a synthetic dataset (to visualize the changes of the clusters’ shapes over time), as well as real datasets. The experimental results confirm that the proposed algorithm is improved in terms of the performance measures including Dunn Index and SD Index. The experimental results also demonstrate that the proposed algorithm utilizes less memory, with the ability to form clusters with arbitrary shapes that are changeable over time.

Leviticus 16 – Day of Atonement - a comparison between biblical and African concepts of atonement and reconciliation

Vilakati, M.V. 05 June 2007 (has links)
The journey towards healing and transformation in Africa is a continual process, which calls all sectors of society to continually commit towards creating avenues of healing. Rituals have been identified and introduced as a guiding framework for the study as they are widely accepted as a strategy to provide healing and transformation. The study assumes that these rituals can be used as vehicles to tell our stories in order to recreate a community of hope. As such the study has attempted to establish this relationship and assess if these rituals of atonement can be used creatively by the church to bring healing and transformation. In order to elucidate the inherent similarities between biblical and African concepts of atonement the study used theological and exegetical tools to analyse these concepts. The study established that the rituals of the Day of Atonement described in Leviticus 16 have certain similarities with some African rituals of atonement and reconciliation. The Leviticus rituals of atonement provide deep ethical and theological foundations that can positively inform the work of reconciliation in our social, economic, religious and political scene in Africa. The study then concludes that a constructive use of the Bible and the concept of atonement in the Old Testament will benefit Africa in its endeavour to bring about reconciliation. However, in the background lies the assumption that the relationship between Africa and the Bible is not an innocent one. It is then recommended that our approach towards the Bible embraces and treats with sensitivity the fact that the same Bible has been used previously in Africa to shape ideologies like apartheid and liberation ideologies and as well as demonising some of the traditional African cultures and religious expressions. Nevertheless, both the biblical and African views of life indicate that the primary goal of rituals is a community of peace, friendship, purity and creative harmony. In view of the resemblances between the Day of Atonement rituals and the African rituals that have been explored we can safely use the Bible in order to contribute to the continual work of reconciliation in Southern Africa. / Dissertation (MA (Biblical and Religious Studies))--University of Pretoria, 2005. / Biblical and Religious Studies / Unrestricted

The Mystery of Social Media Influencers Influencing Characteristics : An exploratory study on how social media influencers characteristics influence consumer purchase intentions

Håkansson, Amanda, Jansson, Emelie, Kapteijn, Noah January 2020 (has links)
Background: Social media have had a big influence on consumers engagement and the upcoming of social media influencers. Social media influencers are often seen as people who are similar to their audience and could be seen as strong opinion leaders. Social media influencer marketing is becoming more and more beneficial for businesses to implement in their marketing strategy. In order to know how to choose the right SMI for the cause, it could be useful to consider four specific characteristics of social media influencers. The characteristics have previously been examined in quantitative research, focusing on the relationship between the characteristics and purchase intention. Therefore, a certain need to explore how this relationship influence consumers’ purchase intentions has been identified. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore how consumers purchase intentions are influenced by social media influencers characteristics. The question that was asked in the study was how does each of the characteristics of social media influencers influence consumers’ purchase intentions. Methodology: This thesis used a qualitative approach and was of exploratory nature. The data was gathered through unstructured in-depth interviews based on a purposive sample considering the age group (millennials born between 1980-1996) as well as the participants frequently consuming social media influencers. The researchers verified theoretical saturation at six interviews. Conclusion: The main findings of this thesis entail how consumers’ purchase intentions are influenced by social media influencers characteristics. What was concluded is that there are eight categories that explain how the respondents thought that social media influencers can achieve with being attractive, being perceived as similar to their consumers, being authentic and being trustworthy in order to influence their purchase intentions.

ORGANISATIONER I FÖRÄNDRING -EN JÄMFÖRELSE AV SOCIALT ARBETE MELLAN EN OFFENTLIG OCH EN PRIVAT VERKSAMHET

Assarsson, Niklas, Borgström, Filip January 2014 (has links)
ABSTRACTThis study consists of a comparison between a public and a private organization that works with people with mental unhealth. The first organization is an authority that conducts investigations to determine if their clients are qualified to receive some sort of help in their daily lives as a part of the Swedish welfare system. The private organization works with offering different kinds of daily activities for people with mental unhealth as a work-training program or to help them create a daily routine in their lives. Our purpose with this paper is to compare the work of the two different organizations based on their organizational framework to see what similarities and differences there are in their work and their chosen approach in meetings with their clients. Our chosen method is that of semi-structured qualitative interviews with three different employees in each organization. The result of our research shows that the employees of both organizations are quite free in their practical work even though they have some laws and rules that governs their work. All the employees we interviewed had quite a similar view of their clients and agreed on most of the different tools that is important to use in meetings with their clients. Furthermore our analysis showed that both organisations are highly influenced by the cultural view on organisatorical theories. This means that the clients and the employees are socialized into a certain way of working together in the daily work. The work is a group effort and it is important that everyone involved in the work have a saying in how the work is supposed to be done. Finally we conclude that our chosen research-area is quite new and there is not much previous research done on the subject. The evolution of social work and the privatisation of the swedish welfare is a work in progress, and the purpose of this paper is to help future socialworkers understand this evolution and possibly inspire people to continue our research.
