The thesis develops a complex methodological proposal that seeks two purposes: to serve as a complex scientific paradigm for the study of the environment and as a practical procedure of participative environmental administration supported by a georeferenced information computacional system. The complex method is based on three theoretical bases: conception, procedure and instrument. These are developed starting from the notions of environmental rationality, theory of the complexity and geographical information system, respectively. As practical procedure it was made an application of the proposed method in the reality of the environmental administration of the Botanical Garden of João Pessoa, in which the conditions of sustainability of that public agency were analyzed in the social, environmental, economical, historical, politics, cultural, and administrative perspective, and proposed a conceptual model of Geographical Information System (GIS). The Buraquinho forest, where the Botanical Garden of João Pessoa is inserted, is one of the largest environmental reservations of urban Atlantic forest of Brazil, however, it was observed that still the maintainable development is not being practiced in that important environment. Because the vision of adopted administration is based on economical rationality, the procedure is not integrated and participative and attendance instrument inexists for the environmental administration of the Botanical Garden of João Pessoa.

A discursivização do trabalho no Jardim Botânico de Porto Alegre : turismo, sujeito e sentidos

Souza, Denise de 11 September 2015 (has links)
Submitted by Ana Guimarães Pereira (agpereir@ucs.br) on 2016-04-29T18:31:41Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Denise de Souza.pdf: 2727464 bytes, checksum: 24fed062940f1031fed5b8678bcdbaea (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-29T18:31:41Z (GMT). Fotografia e interação no Jardim Botânico: uma abordagem do design de participação em contexto museológico / Photography and interaction at the Botanical Garden: an approach of designing for participation within a museological context

Juliano Caldeira Kestenberg 04 April 2014 (has links)
A matéria de contribuição dos alunos participantes é a fotografia produzida a partir do uso de dispositivos móveis / A participatory culture is emerging amid the fast propagation of media technologies that make it possible to produce, archive, appropriate and recirculate informational content. A collaboration logic is observed, made feasible by technical tools that structure the networked knowledge. In this context, the museum performs an effort in order to update itself as an agency of sociocultural representation. In this thesis, we maintain that the social participatory interaction is a path to renew and expand the cultural narratives developed by museums, in respect to its communicational relationship with the audience. Therefore, a system called Reveal was devised: a preliminary model which aims at investigating participation design within a museological context. The system, which is located in Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, presupposes the participation of high school students in an activity elaborated by the Environment Museum team. Participants contribute with photographs captured with mobile devices.

A challenge of Personnel Management is to get the commitment of everyone within organizations. For public organizations that challenge is more complex, since they have unique and distinct characteristics. The Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro, as well as having the inherent to a public organization features, has suffered a reduction of servers, due to retirements and lack of public competition since 2008. The impact of this scenario on the motivation of servers was detected by through an organizational climate survey conducted in 2011. in this sense, coaching has emerged as a practice capable of supporting organizations in maintaining motivation and commitment. Thus, this work aims to propose premises for building a coaching program in JBRJ. To achieve the proposed objective was employed to research the qualitative and quantitative type of applied nature, addressed through case study. Data were collected through desk research, whose object was an Organizational Climate Survey conducted in 2011, and field survey conducted through questionnaires and individual interviews. The data were analyzed respectively by using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The main results point to the following requirements: a) improvement or development under the leadership, the skills of working with teams, delegation and mobilization of servers; b) improve collaboration within and between teams; c) strengthening the sense of belonging, motivation and commitment to the strategic objectives; d) improving institutional communication; and f) redemption of positive perception of the organizational changes. Based on these needs, the premises proposals can be summarized as follows: Implementation of an executive coaching program and team coaching, focusing on organizational strategy and focus on improving communication, to be conducted by an external coach with experience proven public organizations

Lauzon Chiasson, Gabrielle 08 1900 (has links)
From 2003 to 2017, the First Nations Garden of the Montréal Botanical Garden has exhibited each year the mural artwork of an Indigenous artist as part of the Ephemeral mural contest launched by Sylvie Paré. This memoir brings together all of this exhibition in order to highlight the general discourse and the relations that the artworks have with each other, with the Garden and with the physical and imaginary territories. Through a formal and symbolic analysis of this exposition, that integrates the ontologies, epistemology and methodologies of the First Nations, I wish to reflect on the links that unite the notions of gaze, territory, interconnection and memory. The first chapter focuses on the distance generated by the sight seen as an intermediary “objective” of human experience, and the separation (or schism) that it created between the conceptions of nature and culture. I will then look at how the First Nations Garden questions this rupture. The second chapter of this dissertation focuses more specifically on the oblique perspectives adopted by the mural artworks in that they focus on memories and cultural marks left by the indigenous nations on the territories for more than 10,000 years. Moreover, if the murals generally express an environmental concern, they do so through the eyes of different “entities” circulating fluidly and circularly in space, time and intersubjectivity. They explore the physical and imaginary traces of relationships with the territory and highlight the existence of a relationship of reciprocity with the universe in which the territory plays a dynamic role.

Känner du fjärilar i hagen?

Källström, Malin January 2021 (has links)
Goal number 15 in United Nations Sustainable Development goals, is to halt the degradation of the ecosystems and increase the biodiversity (United Nations, 2015). This work explores the possibility of communicating the subject of biodiversity situated in a botanical garden.  Based in theories of landscape architechture, didactics and storytelling techniques, a user's intrepretations of designs are examined. The goal of the work is to facilitate a narrative around a complex topic using a spatsial elements. The work investigates wich forms of visual elements signal the topic of biodiveristy.

Untersuchungen zur Morphologie, Biologie und Ökologie der räuberischen Weichwanze Dicyphus errans Wolff (Heteroptera, Miridae, Bryocorinae) / Investigaciones sobre la morfología, biología y ecología del mírido depredador Dicyphus errans Wolff (Heteroptera, Miridae, Bryocorinae) / Investigations of the morphology, biology and ecology of the predatory mirid bug Dicyphus errans Wolff (Heteroptera, Miridae, Bryocorinae)

Voigt, Dagmar 15 January 2006 (has links) (PDF)
The omnivorous mirid bug Dicyphus errans Wolff (Heteroptera, Miridae, Bryocorinae) lives on a wide range of host plants and feeds on various preys. Over 150 plant species accepted by the mirid bug have been identified. It was experimentally shown that 15 prey species are efficiently consumed. Another characteristical features of D. errans is that it preferes hairy plants. Thus, the mirid bug occupies unique niches avoided by many other insects. Investigations, carried out at the Botanical Garden of the Technical University of Dresden (2000-2002) gave evidence for a remarkable predatory activity and ability to adaptation to different habitats, preys and climate conditions. The studies presented in the dissertation (2002-2005) gave the comprehensive knowledge about the species D. errans, especially its morphology, rearing, bionomy and ecology (fecundity and ontogenesis depending on selected factors, dormancy), habitat preference and locomotion (spatial orientation and structural-analytical studies of the interactions between the bug and plant surfaces), foraging and food ingestion (predatory capacity and omnivory). In addition, video documentation of the modus vivendi and the behavior was performed. The generalist and opportunist D. errans lives together with predators and parasitoids and takes part in a biological control of phytophagous insects in biocenoses. The life history of this bug species appeared to be very complex. The close association to plants has to be considered. Dicyphus errans offers a model system for further research on omnivorous predatory insects connected with hairy plants.
