Fysisk inaktivitet bland kvinnor i åldrarna 18–64 i socioekonomiskt utsatta områden i höginkomstländer : En systematisk litteraturöversikt / Physical inactivity among women aged 18-64 in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods in high-income countries : A systematic literature review

Introduktion: Fysisk inaktivitet beskrivs idag som ett växande globalt folkhälsoproblem där en tredjedel av världens alla vuxna inte når upp till de internationella rekommendationerna för fysisk aktivitet. Fysisk inaktivitet fastställs även som en av de ledande riskfaktor för förtida död och förknippas ofta med sjukdomar som hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar, diabetes och cancer. Kvinnor i åldrarna 18–64 år boende i socioekonomiskt utsatta områden beskrivs vara i särskild risk för fysisk inaktivitet, framförallt då bristande möjligheter till att utöva fysisk aktivitet är ledande för denna befolkningsgrupp. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva vilka riskfaktorer som kan bidra till fysisk inaktivitet samt vilka skyddsfaktorer som kan bidra till fysisk aktivitet bland kvinnor i åldrarna 18–64 år i socioekonomiskt utsatta områden i höginkomstländer. Metod: Den metod som tillämpades var en systematisk litteraturöversikt där 20 vetenskapliga artiklar stod till grund för resultatet. De databaser som användes i studien var PubMed och Medline och de vetenskapliga artiklarna var publicerade mellan år 2005–2020. Vidare granskades och bearbetats dessa artiklar utifrån en tematisk innehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet redovisades med utgångspunkt från tre huvudteman; socioekonomiska faktorer, psykosociala faktorer samt fysisk miljö. I resultatet framkom det att faktorer som låg utbildningsnivå, låg nivå av self-efficacy, avsaknad av socialt stöd samt bristande ekonomiska förutsättningar och fysisk miljö var påverkande orsaker till fysisk inaktivitet bland kvinnor i socioekonomiskt utsatta områden. Slutsats: Utifrån resultatet går det att dra slutsatsen att fysisk inaktivitet bland kvinnor i socioekonomiskt utsatta områden är ett synnerligen viktigt ämne som berör många perspektiv, både på individnivå och på samhällsnivå. Den fysiska inaktiviteten bland kvinnor i socioekonomiskt missgynnade stadsdelar handlar i stora delar om brist på de skyddsfaktorer som kan bidra till en ökad fysisk aktivitet. / Introduction: Physical inactivity is described as a growing global public health problem where one third of all the world’s adults do not achieve the international recommendations for physical activity. Physical inactivity is also identified as one of the leading risk factors for premature death and is often associated with diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer. Women aged 18-64 living in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods are described as being at particular risk of physical inactivity, especially as lack of opportunitiesis common among this group of population when it comes to physical activity. Aim: The aim of this literature study is to describe the risk factors that can contribute to physical inactivity and the protective factors that can contribute to physical activity among women aged 18-64 living in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods in high-income countries. Methods: The method used was a systematic literature review based on 20 scientific articles.The databases that were used in the study were PubMed and Medline and the scientific articles were published between 2005–2020. Furthermore, these articles were reviewed and processed on the basis of a thematic content analysis. Results: The results were presented on the basis of three main themes; socioeconomic factors, psychosocial factors and physical environment. The results showed that factors such as low level of education, low level of self efficacy, lack of social support and lack of financial prerequisites and physical environment were influential causes of physical inactivity among women in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that physical inactivity among women in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods is a particularly important topic that affects many perspectives, both at the individual level and at the societal level. The physical inactivity among women in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods is largely due to a lack of the protective factors that can contribute to increased physical activity.

Integrační sociální podnik jako nástroj aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti / Work Integration Social Enterprise as a Tool of an Active Employment Policy.

Social economy is a quickly developing segment of the national economy worldwide. An increasing number of both profit and non-profit organisations in the Czech Republic adhere to the principles of social economy. The legislation for social enterprises has not been drafted yet, which, first, is a drag on the development of social enterprising in the private sector, and, second, hampers its acknowledgement on the part of government institutions which, lacking the legal framework, are not capable of working with this phenomenon. Hence, a legal framework should be the first step towards support to social enterprising, in particular a framework on social integration enterprises employing people with a remarkably restricted access to the labour market. The goal of this thesis is to assess the validity of formerly proposed indicators to identify the characteristic features of social enterprises for the Czech Republic and to present proposals for potential adjustments to them. The thesis also identifies areas in which support to social enterprises is necessary so that they would be able to comply with the individual indicators. Socialt hållbarhetsarbete hos fastighetsbolag och dess ekonomiska effekter / Social Sustainability Implementation at Real Estate Companies and their Financial Effects

Hållbarhet blir allt viktigare i dagens samhälle och inte minst social hållbarhet. Denna aspekt är något som fastighetsbolag måste beakta. Inte minst påverkas fastighetsbolagets lönsamhet av social hållbarhet. I socialt utsatta områden uppstår en stor problematik, inte bara för de boende utan även förhyresvärden då det är vanligare att mer underhåll behöver göras. Detta kan exempelvis innebära reparationer vid flytt, klottersanering, renhållning av utemiljö, sabotage, städning, hantering av störningar, obetalda hyror och vakanser. Alla dessa faktorer bidrar till kostnader för fastighetsbolaget, därför blir det allt mer väsentligt att vidta trygghetsskapande åtgärder. Dessutom ur hyresgästernas perspektiv är det viktigt att de känner sig trygga och vill bo kvar. Då social hållbarhet kan anses vara ett relativt nytt ämne finns det inte nog med studier som visar effekterna av dessa åtgärder. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utöka kunskapen om sociala hållbarhetsåtgärder och dess ekonomiska effekter. Denna uppsats undersöker vilka åtgärder fastighetsbolag gör samt vilka möjligheter det finns för att skapa trygghet och bidra till social hållbarhet för sina hyresgäster. Utöver detta undersöks om det och i så fall vilka ekonomiska effekter dessa åtgärder leder till. Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ metod, primär datainsamling verkställs genom intervjuer med åtta personer från olika fastighetsbolag. Samtliga respondenter besitter kunskaper om respektive bolags sociala hållbarhetsarbete. En kompletterande litteraturstudie har utförts med resultat från tidigare studier. Resultaten av studien indikerar att de vanligaste sociala hållbarhetsåtgärderna är att ha det helt, rent och snyggt i fastigheterna och runt omkring. Även belyses vikten vid att ha bra, fungerande belysning samt undvika mörka och trånga utrymmen. Att som hyresvärd ha en bra och nära kontakt med sinaboende hyresgäster och hela tiden visa sin närvaro och engagemang ses som ett vinnande koncept i socialt utsatta områden. Dessutom anses det betydelsefullt som fastighetsbolag att vara delaktig i eller skapa sociala projekt för hyresgästerna samt samarbeta med myndigheter och andra fastighetsägare. Resultaten av denna uppsats indikerar att sociala hållbarhetsåtgärder utförda av fastighetsbolag ökar bolagets lönsamhet såväl som välfärden i samhället och bidrar till en ökad samhällsnytta genom exempelvis lägre arbetslöshet och minskad kriminalitet. Utförda sociala hållbarhetsåtgärder bidrar till en ökad upplevd trygghet vilket ökar områdets attraktivitet, minskar antalet vakanser och leder till högre hyror och fastighetsvärden. Åtgärderna kan även minska fastighetsbolags kostnader för reparationer och underhåll, vilket bidrar till ett högre driftnetto. / Today’s society has rendered sustainability more important than ever before, including social sustainability. This aspect of sustainability is something real estate companies must acknowledge. Among other things, social sustainability affects real estate companies profitability. In socially disadvantaged areas, problems arise, not only for the tenants but also for the landlord as it is more common that more maintenance and operations need to be done. This can, for example, involve repairs during relocation, graffiti removal, upholding the outdoor environment, sabotage, cleaning, handling of disturbances, unpaid rents and vacancies. All these factors contribute to costs for the real estate company, hence making it increasingly important to take security-creating measures. In addition, it is essential that tenants feel safe and want to stay. As social sustainability is considered a relatively new topic, there are few studies which show the effects of these measures. The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the knowledge about social sustainability and its economic effects. This essay examines what measures real estate companies take, as well as which measures exist to create security and therefore contribute to social sustainability for tenants. In addition, it is investigated whether and, if so, what economic effects these measures lead to. The study was conducted using a qualitative method, where primary data collection was done through interviews with eight people from different real estate companies. All respondents possess knowledge of theircompany’s social sustainability work. A supplementary literature study has been performed with results from previous studies. The results of this study indicate that the most frequent social sustainability measure taken is to ensure that the property is functional and esthetic. The importance of having good lighting and avoiding cramped dark spaces is also highlighted. As a landlord, having close contact with your tenants and constantly showing one’s presence and commitment is seen as a winning concept in socially disadvantaged areas. In addition, it is considered important to create social projects for the tenants and to collaborate with authorities and other property owners. The results of this thesis indicate that social sustainability measures carried out by real estate companies increase the company's profitability as well as welfare in society and contribute to an increased societal benefit through, for example, lower unemployment and reduced crime. Executed social sustainability measures contribute to an increased experience of security, which increases the area's attractiveness, reduces the number of vacancies and leads to higher rents and property values. The measures can also reduce real estate companies' costs for repairs and maintenance, which contributes to a higher operating net.

This diploma thesis is focused on the implementation of a specific measure within the educational policy in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to describe the introduction of regulation in the form of compulsory pre-school education in terms of setting the agenda and its subsequent enforcement. Furthermore, the aim of the work is to explain the introduction of regulation with respect to the arguments of individual actors. There is a wide range of actors who comment on the issue, these actors form a coalition that shares their beliefs. It is important to mention that the topic of integrating socially disadvantaged children into society is a much- discussed and sensitive topic also at the international level. Another goal of the work is to capture and describe the discussions concerning the functioning of regulation after its introduction, in connection with stakeholders or published research. The diploma thesis deals with the comprehensive support of disadvantaged pupils in the department of child and adolescent psychiatry and primary school at the hospital. The aim of the research was to analyze the level of current pedagogical, health and therapeutic support for disadvantaged hospitalized pupils and to recommend measures to increase the effectiveness of provided care. In the theoretical part, support measures and the counseling system of pupils with special educational needs were generally described. In the practical part, partial goals of the research survey were set, which were to determine the degree of effectiveness of cooperation between medical and school staff providing the educational process of hospitalized pupils. The method of social research was used in this work. For the purpose of obtaining necessary information, a form of questioning a small research sample was used, which consisted of nurses and special pedagogues of this facility. The output of this work is a modification of the cooperation of all participants and their interpersonal and intrapersonal attitude to the care provided to hospitalized students.

La présente recherche vise à décrire les pratiques d’enseignement mises en place en classe d’éducation préscolaire pour favoriser le réemploi des mots enseignés. De plus, nous identifions, en lien avec les recommandations ministérielles du nouveau programme de l’éducation préscolaire, les contextes à partir desquels les enseignantes observent le réemploi des mots étudiés chez les enfants. L’atteinte de nos objectifs est rendue possible par une étude descriptive auprès de douze enseignantes, intervenant dans des écoles de milieu défavorisé ciblées par le programme Une École Montréalaise Pour Tous (UÉMPT). Ces enseignantes ont reçu une formation approfondie et appuyée par la recherche pour parfaire leur connaissance sur l’enseignement du vocabulaire dans le cadre de la recherche principale collaborative dans laquelle s’inscrit notre propre étude. La consignation des traces d’activités réalisées en classe, les entretiens de suivi hebdomadaires avec les enseignantes et les observations en classe permettent de dresser un portrait des pratiques d’enseignement visant le réemploi du vocabulaire. Dans ces pratiques, plusieurs aspects sont considérés dont la nature de la consigne, l’objectif de l’activité, le contexte du réemploi, etc. / Vocabulary is a major concern for pedagogical specialists designing the French school curriculum for the Quebec Ministry of Education. Vocabulary is not only essential for reading and writing skills, but it has been linked to academic success. The purpose of this research was to describe teaching practices that support the acquisition and use of vocabulary words, in line with the new preschool curriculum. We also wanted to identify in which contexts the teachers observed the use of taught vocabulary. We conducted a descriptive study of 12 teachers working in schools in disadvantaged areas targeted by the UÉMPT program (Une École Montréalaise pour Tous). These teachers received extensive, research-supported training in vocabulary comprehension and instruction through a principal collaborative research, of which our own study is a part. We examined records of classroom activities, weekly follow-up interviews with teachers, and classroom observations. The analysis included the nature of the instruction, the purpose of the activity, the context of the reuse, etc. observations provide a better understanding of teaching practices for vocabulary reuse.

L'éducation musicale en contexte scolaire et la compétence sociale de l'enfant d'âge préscolaire en milieu défavorisé

En maternelle, tous les domaines de développement de l’enfant sont sollicités (moteur, cognitif, langagier, affectif et social). Plus particulièrement, l’enfant développe sa compétence sociale par ses diverses interactions avec les autres. En milieu défavorisé, plusieurs enjeux peuvent entraver le développement de l’enfant et la mise en place de mesures préventives est nécessaire. Les recherches des dernières années suggèrent que l’éducation musicale pourrait soutenir le développement global de l’enfant. L’objectif de cette recherche qualitative était d’explorer comment l’éducation musicale en contexte scolaire peut contribuer au développement de la compétence sociale de l’enfant d’âge préscolaire en milieu défavorisé. Dans ce but, des entretiens virtuels semi-dirigés ont été réalisés auprès d’enseignantes de maternelle (n = 2), d’enseignants de musique (n = 2) et de parents (n = 5) d’enfants qui ont participé à un projet d’éducation musicale intensif pendant deux ans (maternelle 4 ans et maternelle 5 ans). Une analyse thématique de contenu semi-inductive a permis de constater que des changements ont été observés dans les relations de l’enfant avec les autres à la suite de sa participation au programme, notamment avec ses enseignants de musique, ses parents et ses pairs. Selon les témoignages des participants, les enfants du programme ont développé leur ouverture aux autres et leur sentiment d’autoefficacité. Aucun mécanisme d’autorégulation des émotions et des comportements chez les enfants n’a été observé par les parents ou par les enseignants. L’instauration d’un programme d’éducation musicale à la maternelle a permis d’offrir un contexte favorable au développement d’un sentiment d’appartenance à l’école et au programme musical chez les enfants, les enseignants et les parents. Les modalités d’un programme musical intensif restent toutefois à définir afin d’être plus adaptés aux besoins de l’enfant d’âge préscolaire et au contexte scolaire. / In kindergarten, every aspect of a child's development is stimulated (motor, cognitive, language, affective and social). More specifically, children develop their social competence through various interactions with others. In disadvantaged environments, several issues can hinder a child's development, and preventive measures must be put in place. Research in recent years suggests that music education can support a child's development. The aim of this qualitative research was to explore how music education in a school context can contribute to the development of social competence in preschool children from disadvantaged backgrounds. For this purpose, virtual semistructured interviews were conducted with kindergarten teachers (n = 2), music teachers (n = 2) and parents (n = 5) of children who participated in an intensive two-year music education project (in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten). A semi-inductive thematic content analysis found that changes were observed in children's relationships with others following their participation in the program, particularly with their music teachers, parents, and peers. According to participant feedback, children in the program developed their openness to others and their sense of selfefficacy. No self-regulatory mechanisms for children’s emotions and behaviors were observed by parents or teachers. A music education program in kindergarten provided a favorable context for the development of a sense of belonging to the school and the music program among children, teachers, and parents. However, the conditions of an intensive music program still need to be defined to be better adapted to the needs of the preschooler and the school context.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of social enterpreneurship in the Czech Republic and is specifically focused on the work integration of particular needy groups (such as ex-convicts, long- term unemployed, disabled persons and former alcohol or drug addicts etc.). The aim of the thesis is to identify patterns and regularities between specific groups and types of social enterprises they work for. The secondary data analysis explores social enterprises registered at czech social enterpreneurship website as well as the groups they employ and compares different approches of the enterprises. The qualitative empirical research uncovers enterpreneurs' motives and furthermore explores connections between the types of social enterprises and the target groups they employ.
