Ursprungsmächte bei Cheikh Anta Diop und Nietzsche

Boa, Thiémélé Léon 18 February 2015 (has links) (PDF)

The relationship of parental rearing behavior and resilience as well as psychological symptoms in a representative sample

Petrowski, Katja, Brähler, Elmar, Zenger, Markus 25 November 2014 (has links) (PDF)
Background: Recalled parental rearing behavior is one of the factors influencing the strength of resilience. However, it is unclear whether resilience is a relatively stable personality trait or has a relational character whose protective strength changes over the course of life. Therefore, the association between recalled parental rearing and resilience as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression was investigated in respect to age and gender. Methods: N = 4,782 healthy subjects aged 14-92 (M = 48.1 years) were selected by the random-route sampling method. In this sample, an ultra-short form of the Recalled Parental Rearing Behavior Questionnaire, the German short version of the resilience scale, and two screening instruments for depression and anxiety (PHQ-2, GAD-2) were filled out. Structural equation modelling was used to analyze the data estimated with the maximum likelihood method approach. Results: The data revealed that rejection and punishment were clearly associated with lower resilience. Moreover, resilience had a strong connection to the symptoms of anxiety and depression. Resilience had the same quality of association in both men and women with respect to anxiety and depression. Furthermore, the effect of resilience did not vary across several age groups even though challenges may differ over a lifetime. Conclusion: Recalled parental rearing behavior such as rejection and punishment as well as control and overprotection exert a significant association on the strength of resilience. Resilience has an effect independent of gender and does not affect people of different age groups differently.

On Media of Memory and Remembering

Horáková, Jana January 2013 (has links)
Information stored in digital media literally and metaphorically loses its historical dimensions but gains spatial relations and burgeoning cross-references. Thus, all of culture, and by extension, its products too, are losing their historical dimension in the age of digital, networked technologies in favor of a constant, real-time information flow, produced by exchange and morphing.

Levels of perception and reproduction of reality in modern African literature

Owomoyela, Oyekan, Böttcher-Wöbcke, Rita, Pape, Marion, Uschtrin, Cornelia, Pilazcewicz, Stanislaw, Mayanja, Shaban, Ohaeto, Ezenwa, McIntyre, Joseph A. 31 January 2019 (has links)
The ensuing manifestations of reality represent our cultural memory, saved from oblivion in literature. If we accept this as one possible definition of literature, every culture – oral or written – has its cultural memory, in as many facts as there are participants in the cultural progress.

Land der dunklen Wälder : Heimat und Erinnerung in Dörte Hansens Altes Land / Land of dark woods : Homeland and memory in Dörte Hansen's This house is mine

Wickström, Emelie January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine the understanding of homeland, or Heimat, from the perspectives of the four protagonists Hildegard, Vera, Marlene and Anne in Dörte Hansen's novel This house is mine (German title: Altes Land). Their memories and references to the former German province of East Prussia were examined with the help of theoretical considerations on the concept of homeland and memory.  The results of the analysis are that all characters have their own perception of the province and that the understanding of homeland changes, based on the protagonists' perception, several important components of the concept of homeland have been worked out. A distinct difference in the opinion of homeland can be seen in the different generations of the family. Factors such as time spent in East Prussia and knowledge thereof are important for the acceptance of the new homeland. More connections to the homeland seem to make it more difficult to feel at home in a new place. This lack of satisfaction with the new life is something that has affected the relationship between the mothers and daughters in the family. The results have also shown that the memories of the homeland above all are characterized by social relationships, but also by natural elements such as woods and lakes.

Wünsch, Christoph 22 September 2023 (has links)
The production of style-imitations is central aspect of compositional seminars.
