This research has as its investigative scenario the Maria Peregrina School, a confessional school located in São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The pedagogic program of the school is built on project-based learning. The objective of the study is to investigate if the main assumptions of the organization and curriculum development of the school offer ways to develop what Longhi (2005) states as Educational Action in the perspective of Communicative Action of Jürgen Habermas. This is a qualitative case study. The research explores a dialogue between curriculum theories and policies for mathematics teaching, regarding as theoretical framework the notion of Educational Action as Communicative Action. Since the participants are children and adolescents, the ideal of Communicative Action can not be expected to de materialized as Habermas supposes to happen between and by adults. The data were constituted by document analysis, which considered Project Itineraries, Tutor Comments and/or Educational Advisor on Student Activity, student self-assessment fact notes, and notebook (diary) of specialist teacher’s notes on logical-mathematical intelligence. It was also conducted a analysis of practices considering the choice of the project, the construction of the Proposed Itinerary, the way in which the learning sessions occur, and assessment and evaluation. The analysis of the data showed that actions developed at the Maria Peregrina School, such as the way to approach the Mathematics Curriculum of the State of São Paulo, the teacher-student relationship in elaborating the Proposed Itinerary and the way in which the evaluation of learning is handled, offered ways for Educational Action as a possibility of Communicative Action among children and adolescents.

Munhoz, Juliana Neri 01 June 2012 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-25T19:20:21Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Juliana Neri Munhoz.pdf: 2223456 bytes, checksum: f9f7ba912d92ce91055100e63833344f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-06-01 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present study sought to analyse the presence of male and female students who do not practice any religion at the Colégio Arautos do Evangelho Internacional, located in Granja Viana - SP and Colégio Adventista de Cotia - SP. These schools seem to be interesting regarding this research due to the number of male and female students they feature: 10% non-Catholic male and female students at the Colégio Arautos do Evangelho Internacional and 82% non-Adventist male and female students at the Colégio Adventista de Cotia (Those numbers were given at the interviews with the schools principal and staff). However, during the research, in year 2010, Colégio Arautos do Evangelho Internacional was closed. Those numbers were given at the interviews with the schools principal and staff. In order to conduct the present study it was necessary to know the religious groups from Arautos do Evangelho Internacional and Adventists, thus obtaining further information their history as groups, their beliefs and charisma. Therefore, it was possible to understand they way those groups transmit their beliefs in the education format. Secondly, we identified the educational history of both groups: the catholic one and the Adventist one as well as the speech of certain individuals who had some influence on this discussion about Education, such as the speech of Leonel Franca for catholic education and the one of Ellen White for the Adventist education. Within the educational frame of both schools we noticed a set of elements that comprehend Religion, such as the prayer moments, chapels, mass and Religious Studies classes. For that reason, thirdly, we conducted a field study by attending the Religious Studies classes, participating in some moments at the chapel, attending masses and interviewing teachers, parents, male and female students, and principals. Through those information and observation, it was possible to make some connections and to apply the presence of non-religious male and female students at those schools at the theory on socialization. In other words, the religious differences do not seem to be so important as the social interaction with friends and other members from school. Thus, we brought the theory of socialization applied by Berger and Luckmann, Maria da Graça Setton and Lahire. School has that characteristic of cultural interaction in a way that model, subjects and knowledge are shared. Seemingly, there is a difference between education scope and religion scope for those non-religious male and female students. In other words, studying at a confessional school does not mean to follow the same religion of school, even IF they cope and participate in the school religious socializing moments. School would be the space of teaching, and religion the confessional male and female students follows (or do not follow at all) would be in a scope outside school. It belongs to private or family environment. The research on the religious profile of Brazilian youth conducted by Jorge Cláudio and Regina Novaes completed the analysis of this information. Their research revealed the so-called loosening of the relation between youth and religion. Thus, for the young person, in our research, the adolescent, having friends from a religion different than his/hers does not imply any problem. Other elements such as the school locations and an education that emphasizes discipline, works with values and ethics are issues that explain the presence of non-confessional male and female students at those confessional schools / Este trabalho buscou analisar a presença de alunos e alunas não-confessionais no Colégio Arautos do Evangelho Internacional, situado na Granja Viana - SP e Colégio Adventista de Cotia - SP.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Maria das Gracas Ferreira de Oliveira.pdf: 892628 bytes, checksum: af29aa70a1fbb26e19caf583870d3374 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-11-22 / The aim of this PhD Thesis, entitled Spirituality and Curriculum: the teachers voice of a confessional school in Piaui State, resulting from a research conducted at a school of basic education, was to examine the extent to which the spirituality of a confessional school is revealed in the teachers voices and is present in curriculum. The discussed thematic is part of a school context that acknowledges the Christian religion and which is maintained by a Women's Religious Congregation. We emphasize three aspects developed in this study: the revelation of spirituality in teachers voice, their interaction with spirituality at school, and the prevalence of spirituality in the curriculum. The theoretical foundation of this thesis is on the works of Morin, Boff, Sacristán, Pacheco, Abramowicz, among others. A qualitative research data collection was carried out through document analysis procedures and application of two questionnaires. They reflect the urgency of a route of spiritual formation for the teacher in order that the teaching and learning process reaches the ideal of an education directed towards an education in values and for values, an education whose objective centers on the integral formation process of human beings. In this context, the relevance of this research is related to the possibility of providing an education which allows enough space to attitudes and behaviors of welcoming, respect, availability, generosity, solidarity with each other, knowing that we are responsible for each other as well as that spirituality provides grounds to both the pedagogical practice and the curriculum of confessional schools / A presente tese, Espiritualidade e Currículo: a voz dos professores de uma escola confessional do estado do Piauí, desenvolvida a partir de uma investigação numa escola de educação básica, teve o objetivo de investigar em que medida a espiritualidade de uma escola confessional se revela na voz dos professores e incide no currículo.

A educação feminina no projeto siqueirano: 1939 - 1973

Neves, Gislene Taveira de Almeida 22 August 2005 (has links)
This work is part of the research of the Master s Degree in Education program from the Federal University of Uberlândia/MG and has as its primary objective to know, analyze and register the paths taken in the construction of the Nossa Senhora do Amparo high school, built in the city of Monte Carmelo, in the year of 1939 under the direction of the Franciscan Sisters of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, paying special attention to the issue of feminine education. This research is set between the tears of 1939 and 1973, taking into consideration that, in the 70 s, the Normal Course curriculum received the subjects of the then called Scientific Course, as a consequence of the alterations brought forth by Law 5.692/71 of the 1º and 2º degree education reform, after which it became known as Normal High School. This approach will be made by highlighting the macro history context in which this catholic confessional school inserts itself, allowing therefore the possibility of thinking of it as an educational space where women students and nuns re-create unique and multiple ways of thinking and behaviors, among the appropriations that highlight peculiar and relevant hues for the historical construction of Brazilian education. The theoretical-methodological support for this research was obtained in the propositions of the New Cultural History, under the perspective of the approaches proposed by Roger Chartier, seeing as possible to think history from the point of view of social representations, which articulate themselves as mechanisms forged in the interior of relations permeated by clashes, in the practice of social subjects who manifest themselves in the acceptance/re-elaboration or rejection/resistance to the roles which are in many ways imposed or offered as adequate or convenient. By interviewing the big and the little , it is intended to rescue the details of a history that is built between signals and readings of a past that always provokes a new look, a new path along the ways of historical research of Brazilian education.

The study of the school culture as a field of knowledge of History of Education, was in a fertile field for the knowledge of the history of school institutions. This field of knowledge provides the study of the unique aspects of daily school life, considering that each institution is unique and there is a multiplicity of plots to be explored. In this respect, this work has the main objective of the historicizing school culture School Nossa Senhora do Rosário, in the period 1955-1965, attempt to think about the control strategies of disciplinary power and resistance tactics alumnae, practices reveal power relations, from the microphysics of power in the educational system of the institution. In this study, it was necessary as specific objectives: the analysis of the architecture school as an educational program of disciplinary production; problematize the pedagogical practices through the statements of former students; and reflect on the scams that offered resistance control strategies in the institution. Therefore, it was used as the main theoretical framework, Foucault's works (2013, 2014), Certeau (1994), Escolano and Frago (1998) Buffa (2002). Thus, the study of school culture of a confessional institution in the mid twentieth century, in Paraiba interior, allowed the questioning of control process as Christian education strategy, understanding the role of social actors as protagonists of the story through his memories.
