Made available in DSpace on 2015-03-05T12:06:13Z (GMT). Apresentamos, também, as representações de es / This thesis studies the views and discussions about Germanism (Deutschtum), school and teacher conveyed in the journal Allgemeine Lehrerzeitung für Rio Grande do Sul, Vereinsblatt des Deutschen Evangelischen Lehrervereins in Rio Grande do Sul [General Teacher’s Journal for Rio Grande do Sul, a publication of the Association of German Evangelical Teachers in Rio Grande do Sul], edited and published by the Deutscher Evangelischer Lehrerverein von Rio Grande do Sul [Association of German Evangelical Teachers from Rio Grande do Sul] between the years 1902 and 1938. We approached this topic with a frame of reference based on cultural history. The journal’s editors and contributors, most of whom were German teachers allocated to urban schools, address topics such as Deutschtum, school and teacher, deal with issues like identity, set models of conduct and recommend reading material for teachers working in “German-Brazilian” evangelical schools, the jounal’s primary readership. We also present the views exposed on

This thesis investigates, based on Emile Benveniste’s enunciative theory and on Yves Schwartz’s ergologic perspective, the consensus formation process in School Board meetings of an Evangelical Lutheran School, located in Porto Alegre metropolitan area. From the Benveniste’s enunciation theory, it is used the conception of language, in which language provides a formal basis system from which the individual takes the language act, renormalizing it in a particular and unique style. From the ergologic perspective, it is used the concept of work activity, which shows that there is always a distance between the foregoing provisions governing the work to be done, and the work actually done. Hence work is made unique and renormalized constantly as the work activities are carried out. Both theories take into consideration the subjectivity which is inherent to language and work activity. The research is qualitative in nature and has dialogues among the principal, the administrative coordinator and members of the School Board as the object of study. From the analysis of the dialogues, it is possible to state that consensus is co-constructed by the participants in the interaction; it is created by taking into consideration the establishment of an "I" and a "you", who speak of a "he", in a specific here and now; it is the result of a process which extends over time, induced by the institution and people who reproduce it, in which different participants perform specific activities related to their role, and thereby overcome logical and necessary development steps within the actions required from them.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Bruna Suruagy do Amaral Dantas.pdf: 2651436 bytes, checksum: efc8f29dcb5adf6ce58c5f4b7f16f0f2 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-10-21 / In Brazil, the Evangelical churches have entered into the political sphere and have consolidated their strength in the national scenario. Today, they are relevant political players that have power to interfere in the parliament s decisions, and it is no longer possible to ignore their presence in the public space. The interest in politics has expanded so much that Pentecostal denominations of significant importance in the religious field have started to have political assistance regarding the development of electoral strategies, thus enabling the amplification of parliamentary representation and the acquisition of elective offices in the municipal, state and federal spheres. In this way, they started to hold positions of power and became political agents of national significance. In view of the growth of the Evangelical parliamentary representation in Congress, the present study aims to investigate the system of political-religious ideologies of the Evangelical congressmen, in the 2007/2011 term of office. The methodological procedure was semi-structured interviews with congressmen and assistants. Data analysis, based on the concept of ideology developed by Ignacio Martín-Baró, revealed that the members of the Evangelical Parliamentary Front present in their speeches the following ideological presuppositions: the myth of unity and consensus, the denial of antagonism, the commitment to generic representation, the normalization of politics, the conservation of the instituted morality, the preservation of the status quo and the combat against the transformation of the legislative code / No Brasil, as igrejas evangélicas têm ingressado na esfera político-partidária e consolidado sua força no cenário nacional.

The inclusive churches are churches that, on the contrary to the conventional churches, do not condemn the homosexuality of their members. There are in São Paulo City three inclusive churches: Igreja da Comunidade Metropolitana, Comunidade Cristã Nova Esperança, Igreja Cristã Evangelho Para Todos and in Guarulhos City there is one branch of Comunidade Cristã Nova Esperança. In order to understand the social representations of these leaders we attended cults and the participation of these churches on the Marcha Para Jesus, Parada do Orgulho GLBT and Seminário de Inter-religiosidade e Diversidade Sexual. We visited the churches and interviewed three men pastors and a woman pastor. After collecting the data, their discourses are divided into thematic nucleus. In order to analyze the material, we used the Social Representation Theory, elaborated by Serge Moscovici. The data point out the leaders conceptions about their churches and about the relation of these with Social Movements. The churches are wiewed like a place that the homosexual can have a new reunion with God. The Social Movements are considered something very important by the leaders although there is not a big integration behind the churches and Social Movements / O objetivo desta pesquisa foi investigar quais eram as representações sociais de lideranças de igrejas inclusivas, sobre suas igrejas e sobre a relação delas com os Movimentos Sociais.

Halvarsson, Sofie January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this essay is first and foremost to clarify which kind of different answers there are to identify within an evangelical-lutheran tradition considering what a person should confess and take responsibility for as their sin and guilt. Secondly this essay aims to suggest the most plausible one. This essay thematically present four different figures of ideas that answers to the question of what a person should confess as their sin and guilt. These figures are: 1) To confess the ontological state of guilt 2) To confess the subjective sin and guilt 3) To confess the objective sin and guilt 4) To confess participation in the structural sin and guilt. These four different views of what to confess have been tested through three different criterias: a criteria of theology - by testing the coherence with an evangelical-lutheran tradition, a criteria of pastoral psychology - by testing the correspondence with theories in pastoral psychology and a criteria of good consequences - to see if the views of what to confess have a liberating effect on an individual and collective level. After testing these different views of what to confess my conclusion is that the most valid one is “ to confess our objective sin and guilt” because it expresses the violation of the “relation”. Some of the other views may serve as a good explanation for the human “situation”, but are not appropriate to confess as guilt.

(Re)Mediating the Spirit: Evangelical Christian Young Adult Media

Watkins, Tamara 01 January 2017 (has links)
"We are in the world, but not of the world," a maxim frequently spoken in evangelical Christian culture, provides insight into how these individuals view their relationship with secular culture. They presume to share the same temporal plane with secular culture, but do not participate in it. In this dissertation, I explore whether the division between evangelical Christian culture and secular culture is as clear as this aphorism implies. To facilitate this investigation, I examine media Christian content creators created for an American evangelical Christian young adult audience in the early twenty-first century, specifically focusing on novel-length fiction, comics and graphic novels, and video games. Guided by a methodology informed by structuralist and poststructuralist theories, I uncover patterns in these media. I conclude that the boundaries between evangelical Christian culture and secular culture are less distinct than might first appear, which indicates significant contact and influence between these cultures.

Sociální sítě a církevní společenství / Social Networks and the Curch Community

Vondra, Radek January 2016 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to describe forms and the potential of social networks within a church community from the perspective of the inclusion. The thesis specifies what social networks are, how they relate to community, and how they can be explored. It deals with a local congregation as the main unit of a church and its specification in The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. It also describes various views of the inclusion. The research part of the thesis depicts the process of entering a particular local congregation of The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Using this example, the thesis categorizes different forms of inclusion including the biblical commandment of love, and captures the ever changing ways and powers of the social networks within a church as they attract and carry a person.
