Nesta direção, o estudo procura entender a pornografia como um discurso a partir do qual se dão reflexões sobre a contemporaneidade. Assim, procura-se desconstruir as nomenclaturas “obscena, erótica e pornográfica”, comumente vinculadas à autora e demonstrar como tais elementos são apenas um ponto de partida para propor hipóteses sobre como o discurso sobre a sexualidade, sobre o corpo, não está calcado na exterioridade que representam, mas pode abranger questões profundas, como a da possibilidade de representar a essência das coisas através de palavras, ou, no caso do sexo, a essência da subjetividade a partir daquilo que aponta para a exterioridade. / The aim of this work is, by reading three books of Hilda Hilst, to understand how the theme of eroticism is connected to questions related to metalanguage and to the issue of the process of writing itself. Under these circumstances, the study intends to apprehend pornography as a speech through which critical thoughts regarding contemporaneity are taken into consideration.

Todos os livros de prosa de Hilda Hilst possuem personagens velhos, e o erotismo é uma das principais linhas de força de sua obra. Este trabalho procura relacionar esses dois elementos e, ao mesmo tempo, oferecer um panorama da prosa hilstiana e de algumas de suas problemáticas mais recorrentes. A construção de personagens, as imagens do vazio e a caracterização do estilo da autora são eixos que estruturam cada um dos três capítulos, nos quais se abordam, ainda, questões como a construção do espaço literário e as investigações filosóficas contidas no texto ficcional. Em diálogo com ensaístas como Simone de Beauvoir, Georges Bataille, Edward Said, entre outros, a dissertação parte da compreensão da velhice e do erotismo como elaborações estéticas para buscar as imagens e operações formais usadas por Hilst em sua ficção. / All of Hilda Hilsts prose books feature aged characters, and eroticism is one of the main strengths of her literature. This work seeks to relate these two elements and, at the same time, offer an overview of the Hilstian prose and some of its most recurrent issues. The construction of characters, the images of emptiness and the characterization of the authors style are axes that structure each one of the three chapters, in which questions such as the construction of literary space and the philosophical investigations contained in the fictional text are also addressed. In dialogue with such essayists as Simone de Beauvoir, Georges Bataille, Edward Said, among others, this dissertation departs from the understanding of old age and eroticism as aesthetic elaborations to seek the images and formal operations used by Hilst in her fiction.

Através de uma leitura comparativo-contrastiva da tradição da lírica medieval galego-portuguesa e da poesia de Trovas de muito amor para um amado senhor, volume publicado pela escritora brasileira Hilda Hilst (1930 2004) em 1960, este trabalho propõe uma leitura dos modos pelos quais essa tradição constitui-se em estratégia privilegiada pela autora para a elaboração de uma subjetividade poética que só se pode afirmar e constituir plenamente na presença do Outro. Nesse sentido, a própria escrita poética definir-se-ia como incessante movimento de busca de um amado ausente, cuja condição permitiria aproximá-lo à noção do absolutamente Outro, postulada pelo filósofo Emmanuel Lévinas. Assim, enquanto impulso desejante condenado inevitavelmente ao malogro, o poema dobrar-se-ia sobre si mesmo, movimento do qual resultaria uma lírica de amor ao próprio texto poético. / Through a comparative-contrastive reading of the medieval Galician-Portuguese lyric tradition and of the poetry of Trovas de muito amorpara um amado senhor, volume published by the Brazilian writer Hilda Hilst (1930- 2004) in 1960, this work proposes a reading of the ways through which this tradition constitutes itself in a strategy privileged by the author for the elaboration of a poetic subjectivity that can only affirm and fully constitute itself in the presence of The Other. In that sense, the poetic writing would define itself as a ceaseless movement in search of an absent lover, whose condition would allow to approximate it to the notion of the absolutely Other, postulated by the philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas. Nesse aspecto, o trabalho orientou-se por uma perspectiva que problematizasse a postura encontrada nos textos de Hilst, ultrapassando o entendimento que já se sabia da sua produção e focalizando a atenção, assim, em elementos que estavam inseridos dentro de um repertório de signos tradicionalistas e imanentistas, como por exemplo, a casa e o ambiente familiar. Partindo disso, percebeu-se que os textos construíam um mecanismo de ruptura inusitado, pois não ignoravam o legado idealista desses signos, ou seja, reconheciam sua força na existência e propunham resistências criativas. Dessa maneira, Hilst aproxima sua produção em prosa da corrente ecofeminista, a qual também propõe uma atitude de retecimento não só à esfera ambiental, mas também social e subjetiva. Nesse ponto, a tese propicia uma discussão em torno da noção de “ecologia” e mostra de que maneira o alargamento do seu conceito serviu como parâmetro para se entender o ousado procedimento de ruptura de Hilst, levando-se em conta o caráter metafísico das construções tradicionalistas. / The doctoral thesis aims to analyze the author Hilda Hilst’s literary production in prose, mostly the texts Fluxo-Floema, A obscena senhora D, “Rútilo Nada”, and also her obscene trilogy, coming from a comprehension that expands the ordinary concepts of critics concerning this writer, linked only to a radicality and transgression discourse. In this aspect, the work was guided through a perspective which could problematize the posture found in Hilst’s texts, going beyond what was understood and already known about her production, and, this way, focusing the attention on elements which were inserted in a repertoire of traditionalist and immanentist designations, for example, the house and the family environment. Based on this assumption, it was noticed that the texts built an unusual mechanism of disruption as the idealistic legacy was not ignored by those designations, that is, their force in the existence was known and creative resistance was proposed. This way, Hilst approaches her production in prose to the ecofeminist academic movement, which also proposes an attitude of reframing not only in the environmental sphere, but also in the social and subjective ones. Regarding this, the thesis provides a discussion about the notion of “ecology” and shows how the expansion of its concept was used as a parameter to understand Hilst’s audacious procedure of disruption, taking into account the metaphysic character of the traditionalist constructions.

A partir de uma perspectiva que valoriza a teoria dos gêneros literários, o presente trabalho busca verificar como se processam, na obra da escritora brasileira Hilda Hilst, as relações entre lírica, teatro e prosa narrativa. Seu principal parâmetro teórico é o trabalho de Peter Szondi: Teoria do drama moderno, livro em que o crítico alemão aborda a mistura de gêneros literários como tentativas de superar, na criação estética, problemas objetivos relacionados à situação histórica de determinada forma literária. No caso de Hilda Hilst, serão analisadas como as incursões da autora no teatro e na prosa narrativa funcionam como resposta problemática à recepção de uma lírica inicialmente balizada pelos ideais poéticos da Geração de 45. Demonstro, assim, como as tentativas da autora em outras modalidades discursivas produzirão alterações formais significativas em sua obra, a partir da contaminação estrutural de um gênero para o outro. / Taking into consideration a perspective that privileges the Theory of literary forms, this study aims at verifying the way it works, in the production of the Brazilian writer Hilda Hilst, the relations among lyrics, theater and narrative prose. The theoretical parameter is the works Theory of Modern Drama, by Peter Szondi, in which the German critic deals with the question of mixture of literary forms as an alternative to overcome objective questions related to the historical situation of a certain literary form. Concerning Hilda Hilst, we intend to analyse how the incursions of the author in theater and narrative prose appear as a problematic response to the reception of a lyrics initially guided by the poetic ideals of the Generation of 45. As we intend to demonstrate, the attempts on the part of the author in other discursive types will produce significant formal modifications in her work, by means of the contamination of structures of one gender to another.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo mapear a rede de atores envolvida na tradução do livro A\" obscena\" senhora\"D, de Hilda Hilst, para o inglês, publicada em 2012 nos Estados Unidos como The\"Obscene\"Madame\"D. O corpo do trabalho, entrevistas com cada um desses atores, é analisado à luz da teoria da patronagem de André Lefevere e da teoria atorbrede, originalmente proposta por Bruno Latour e discutida por Hélène Buzelin em relação ao trabalho de tradução e editorial. Um dos aspectos peculiares à publicação aqui estudada é a coedição, também analisada segundo teoria desenvolvida por Hélène Buzelin. Outras traduções de Hilda Hilst para o inglês serão abordadas, criando um panorama da obra da autora nos Estados Unidos. Ao fim, esta pesquisa pretende ter jogado luz no mercado editorial brasileiro e norte americano no que diz respeito a traduções da literatura brasileira para o inglês e ao trabalho de editoras independentes. / The aim of this work is to map the network of actors involved in the translation of Hilda Hilsts A\"obscena\"senhora\"D into English, which was published in the United States in 2012 under the title The\"Obscene\"Madame\"D. The greater part of the work, interviews with each of these actors, is analyzed under André Lefeveres patronage theory and Bruno Latours actorbnetwork theory, as applied by Hélène Buzelin to translation and publishing. Among the peculiar aspects of this translation is that it was copublished by two publishing houses, and that, too is analyzed according to a theory by Hélène Buzelin. Other translations of Hilda Hilsts works into English will be mentioned, thus creating a panorama of the authors body of work in the United States. In the end, this research aims to have illuminated aspects of the Brazilian and American publishing market when it comes to translation of Brazilian literature into English and the work of independent publishers.

Tendo como objeto de estudo obras poéticas de Hilda Hilst, brasileira; e Ana Paula Tavares, angolana, esta pesquisa visa a discutir caracteres da construção identitária culturalmente atribuídos à condição feminina, a partir das manifestações eróticas representadas poeticamente na obra dessas autoras. Embora sejam escritoras não diretamente vinculadas a um programa literário feminista, ao representarem poeticamente o erotismo, contribuem para promover a emancipação da mulher. Associam-se, assim, construção erótica e construção da cidadania, analisadas neste projeto de um ângulo simultaneamente literário e sócio-existencial. / Taking as an object of study poetic works from Hilda Hilst, Brazilian; and Ana Paula Tavares, Angolan, this inquiry aims to discuss characters from the identity construction culturally attributed to the feminine condition, derived from the erotic demonstrations poetically represented in the work of these authors. Though they are writers not straightly linked to a literary feminist program, while representing poetically the eroticism they contribute to promote the emancipation of women. Therefore, the erotic construction and the citizenship construction have been associated and analyzed in this project simultaneously from a literary and a social-existential angle.
