Les compétences culturelles et interculturelles dans l'enseignement du chinois en contexte secondaire français / The cultural and intercultural competences in Chinese language teaching in French secondary schools

Wang, Yan 18 February 2017 (has links)
In the current context when the cultural exchanges increase, the mobility experiences start at a young age and the use of Internet allows the intercultural encounters without any geographical movement, the Chinese teaching reveals a new expectation : the development of cultural and intercultural competences that enables learners to have a greater openness towards other cultures and maintain a non-conflictual relationship with the other. However, the reality shows us that there is a gap between the cultural and intercultural objectives of teaching materials, teachers, students and parents, and their implementation in teaching, a gap between the theoretical objectives recommended by official documents and the objectives in practice, and also a gap between cultural and intercultural competences and their recognition by the French education system. Our research falls under the didactics of languages and cultures, open to pluridisciplinarity, and borrows especially from anthropology, sociology and psychology. It takes as study field the middle school Emile Zola of Rennes and relies on a mixed corpus of interviews, teaching materials and the official documents. Considering as social actors the 5 teachers, 20 students and 16 parents, the study was able to show the importance of social factors in the development of cultural and intercultural competences of learners in Chinese teaching of French secondary education.

Karių tarpkultūrinių kompetencijų ugdymas kariuomenės multikultūrinio mokymo procese / Developing Soldiers Intercultural Competence in military cross- cultural education

Butautienė, Jolita 16 September 2009 (has links)
Šiame magistro darbe nagrinėjamos karių, vykdžiusių tarnybą užsienio šalyse tarpkultūrinės kompetencijos. Darbo tikslas- remiantis teoriniu karių tarpkultūrinių kompetencijų modeliu empiriškai ištirti karių, dalyvavusių multikultūrinio ugdymo procese, tarpkultūrinių kompetencijų raišką. Išanalizavus mokslinę literatūrą sudarytas teorinis karių tarpkultūrinių kompetencijų modelis bei karių kompetencijų raiškos lygmenys, kuriais remiantis naudojant kokybinį tyrimą analizuojami tyrimo duomenys ir atskleidžiamos karių multikultūrinio ugdymo spragos. Gauti tyrimo rezultatai patvirtina hipotezę, kad tarpkultūrinių kompetencijų trūkumas apsunkina karių sėkmingos trumpalaikės integracijos į kitą kultūrą procesą. / This paper researches intercultural competence of soldiers, who were employed in foreign countrys. A competência intercultural no ensino do italiano como língua estrangeira: da teoria à sala de aula / The intercultural competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language: from theory to classroom

Gazzoni, Sandra 17 October 2014 (has links)
The concepts of \"difference\" and \"identity\" are now a leitmotif in social and political debates in many countries worldwide. In this context, the intercultural competence is considered to be a desirable feature for those who, more and more frequently, are crossing borders between cultures. From my personal both in terms of language and self-identity and from the professional experience, as teacher of Italian as a Foreign Language, I understand that the explicit reflection on intercultural communication deserves a place in the foreign language classroom. Based on such assumptions, the main goal of this research is to highlight the intercultural dimension of teaching and learning in the Italian language classes, and more specificically to verify if a teaching activity, inspired by the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity DMIS (BENNETT, 1993), and other intercultural models, can indeed stimulate the sensitivity and the intercultural competence, not only at a cognitive level, but also at a perceptual level. In addition, we would like to check whether the exercise called the Description, Interpretation, and Evaluation Exercise - DIE (BENNETT, BENNETT, 1988), which aims at fostering the understanding and the differentiation the three concepts mentioned, encourages awareness of the judgments of value in the subjects in this research, highlighting their personal and cultural identity. More generally, we aim at registering the effects and reactions of the learners in contact with such an activity. At a methodological level, we chose the qualitative method that according to Donna Mertens (1998) belongs to the interpretive/constructivist research paradigm and, therefore, refers to the same epistemological theory behind DMIS. The teaching activity developed during this research was applied to the two different groups of students of Italian as a Foreign Language in the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo. The data collected in the trial seems to show that the exercise DIE allowed us to achieve the purposes of the research, once the students, in general, had success in: (a) understanding and being able to distinguish the descriptive, interpretive and evaluative elements in the proposed texts during the teaching activities; (b) understanding their own nature as being \"personal\" and \"cultural\" at the same time; (c) in part, to applying and interpreting in a personal and creative way the DIE exercise, which was proposed as an activity designed to carry out the empirical part of this research. On a broader sense, the students were also able to understand that the main focus of the activity (which was not explicit beforehand) was to attempt to grasp elements of the Italian subjective culture. It is noteworthy that the procedures by which this occurred (the DIE and \"the empathy\") are tools that can be used in different cultural contexts.

FORMAZIONE ALLE COMPETENZE INTERCULTURALI NELL'ADOZIONE INTERNAZIONALE / INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCES TRAINING IN INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION

FRANZINI, MANILA 15 March 2010 (has links)
Training in intercultural matters arises from the need of going into depth of a subject particularly discussed in international circles. To face the subject of training in intercultural matters and, even more in the matter of international adoption, represents a challenge and an enormous potential for those who are directly involved in the activity of international adoption. Studies have underlined necessity of training prospective and adoptive parents, in order to ensure a transformation. The research is made up of an experimental method which involves a large number of Authorised Italian Organizations which deal with training of adoptive families. In part of this study, was made a analysis of training systems realised by three Authorised Organizations, such have AFN (Azione per Famiglie Nuove), AIBI (Associazione Amici dei Bambini) and CIAI (Centro Italiano Aiuto all’Infanzia). It was possible to identify some specific approaches and some characteristic elements of these approaches, which arose when comparing realities. The initial questions and studies made when cases were examined made it possible to recognise the incidence of the educational size of the adoption schedule and the indication of three training methods. The indicated suppositions, which favoured the selection of a conceptual item of reference and possible application, opened a new prospective for development of the subject of intercultural matters in international adoption circles. In the last part of the text, the definition of the concept of competences was thoroughly defined and in particular intercultural competences. The analysis of competences showed the existence of different forms of cultural, transcultural and intercultural competences. This research has explained the significance of intercultural duties for prospective and adoptive parents. Be they the characteristics in the training of intercultural duties, indicating possible ways of application.

Investigating the awareness of Decolonial perspectives among undergraduate Sport Science students in the Netherlands

Kunert, Jakob, Skvarnavics, Janis January 2021 (has links)
In the world of research, the decolonial perspective is not a field to study but a way of thinking and to exist in the world. This perspective sees the current form of "research" as something linked to European imperialism and colonialism in history that, until this day, still overshadows other ways of knowing and creating information (Liebel, 2017).In this qualitative research, we explored how aware of coloniality are international sports students in the Dutch context since Europe was the epicenter of colonialism. What do students know about colonialism and the decolonial perspective? Moreover, do these students consider it necessary to reflect their own knowledge through decolonial perspectives if they have a concept of it? This research aims to investigate the level of awareness among international undergraduate Sport studies science students regarding colonialism and its effects on their education. It further explores to what extent these students are being taught decolonial approaches and critical thinking skills to unbiasedly scrutinize the current world of academia. The research uses an exploratory research design employing a qualitative research method, in-depth semi-structured interviews to collect the data. Semi-structured interviews use a blend of closed and open-ended questions, leaving room for follow-up and how questions and through that can reveal unexpected insights and information throughout the interview (Adams, 2015). The collected data is analyzed by adapting the composite narratives approach by mapping similar information together from various interviews and creating two different story narratives using fictional characters (John and Nicol). The stories are then interpreted based on the theoretical framework of the research, which draws upon a critical perspective on the house of modernity, and epistemological violence. The results revealed that students lack the basic understanding and awareness of the concept of colonialism and its effects on their current education. The Sport studies Bachelors' level education program under investigation is not inclined to go outside the borders of the status quo and does not encourage their students to explore other ways of interpreting information such as the Decolonial perspective and others.

Bilingvní školy a evropské projekty / Bilingual schools and European projects

Pávková, Karolína January 2012 (has links)
The theme of this dissertation thesis is the relation of bilingual education and educational projects aimed at European issues. The research part was conducted at bilingual upper secondary schools in the Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain (Wales). In the thesis the themes such as European politics, intercultural dialogue, international peace, human rights, humanitarian aid and language education are primarily included into European issues. The empirical research was deliberately realized at bilingual schools, where the instruction is delivered throught the medium of two languages. With regard to this fact a frequent participation at educational projects with European focus (European projects) was anticipated at these schools. European projects are often interconnected with the laguage studies. In recent years education projects have been an important part of the curriculum in Czech, German and British environment and they play a vital role in education context. The projects enrich the bilingual instruction from both methodical and content perspective and enable launching cooperation between schools and other partner institutions. Bilingual education has lately been supported by international educational strategies aimed at cultural biodiversity and multilingualism. In European Union The...
