Digitalisierung der Engineering Prozesse durch System Lifecycle Management (SysLM)

Eigner, Martin 03 September 2021 (has links)

M&A in the public sector. Cultural dimensions of integration in a domestic merger.

Schroll, Iris 08 1900 (has links) (PDF)
Since the late 1980s in most European countries the public sector has been characterized by ongoing privatization/liberalization strategies. Challenges related to this development are the merging of public institutions or units, the (re)creation of efficient processes, the increase in revenues, and the balancing between public service obligation and private sector competition. Approaching a case of a large Austrian company in the public health sector with a mixed methods design (narrative interviews, surveys), three major changes could be identified: a) breaking the bottleneck - development of processes, tools and awareness, b) reduction and regulation - ongoing business integration, and c) the good, the bad and the ugly - changing roles and status of clients, employees and managers. Organizational cultural subgroups relevant to the case are functional, occupational, geographical, political and structural subgroups. The political and the structural subgroups are fairly new dimensions in M&A research. The different subgroups identified show different resource dependencies, define perceptions about the ongoing changes and related approaches to change, face different organizational strategies and professional challenges. This explorative case study contributes to the understanding of developments of the public sector and related types of organisations. It provides practical recommendations for successful integration processes and managerial action. Approaching the case with the model of organizational culture challenges organisational cultural theory. New constructs relevant to change management are combined and a contribution to the field of mixed method M&A studies is made. (author's abstract)

Cardoso, André Coimbra Felix 04 July 2012 (has links)
Facing so many approaches to sustainability management is natural that the decision makers be confused about what to adopt in their sustainability management and how to integrate them in a business model. With the propose to model a strategic integrated managing program to the sustainable development, this study analyzed the sustainability management model contributions of three companies considered pioneers and avant-garde in this area: Philips do Brasil, Natura Cosméticos e Interface Inc. Like intermediary objectives this work looked for: (a) to identify, characterize and analyze the motivation mechanism (inside and external context) to incorporate the sustainability on the researched companies; (b) to identify, characterize and analyze the Sustainability contents mobilized in the five levels of the companies Sustainability Management Model (SMM); and (c) to identify and discuss the contributions more relevant to the sustainable development effectively. The development of this work was based on a theoretical conceptualization of a model of organizational management, and empirical research in the form of a questionnaire for managers of the financial responsibility for budget preparation. The survey sample consists of 20 companies responding to this questionnaire in the universe of 270 companies formed by the 10 largest companies in 27 sectors listed in the journal Valor 1000 of August 2007. At the end of the analysis of questionnaire responses and comparisons with the theoretical conceptualization of the issue came to the conclusion that 55% of the companies prepare the budget based on strategic planning, however, who do not are failing at the stage of control and planning phases. In the control phase the fault is in the system of performance measurement, which is not consistent with the strategic goals, not favoring the alignment of the budget process to strategy. In the planning phase, the result of research showed us that there is also failure to communicate the strategy for those involved in budgeting. The length of time high in drawing up the budget process is also a limitation of the alignment of the budget to corporate strategy / Este trabalho tem como objetivo procurar elencar as possíveis limitações relacionadas ao Orçamento Empresarial quanto a sua adequação ao Planejamento Estratégico.

Beizavi, Fariborz, Soleimanpour, Hamidreza January 2009 (has links)
Environmental aspects have been intentioned more in recent years and the wasteproblem has a great impact in this matter. Due to this fact, waste management systems havebeen developed and new waste treatment methods as well as waste recovery and reductionhave been introduced. These methods are focused on preserving the environment as a coreissue. Despite of high effort and investment in waste management system, the environment isfaced with large impact due to high amount of landfill. This problem is a worldwide issue andcan be seen both in developed and developing countries. In this research, quality and environmental management system planning in wastemanagement has been analysed through stakeholders’ analysis. Waste management systemshave been investigated in two cities, one in the Middle East and another in Scandinavia. Results of this research show that stakeholders’ analysis can be applied into qualitymanagement system planning in order to ensure municipalities and waste managementcompanies to set SMART quality objectives which meet all stakeholders’ requirements. Thisapproach is recommended to be used in technology transfer projects.Stakeholders- QE management model proposed in this research, defines the role ofstakeholders’ analysis into quality and environmental management system planning.

January 2002 (has links)
Abstract: The urban environment produces increasingly larger amounts of waste, which come from a large number of activities. The domestic solid waste have been seen as a priority in the conception of management models, from the collection to its final disposal, due to the massive quantities and the subjects related to incorrect disposal, which carries great degradation, both in social and environmental aspects. Only recently, solid waste derived from civil construction and building demolition is starting to draw attention, because the great amount of it is bringing problems and elevated costs to minimize the environmental impact, to the municipal governments. The proposed model of solid waste integrated management is presented as a systemic approach to this question and offers an extensive analysis of the alternatives on recovering and recycling the solid wastes in various stages before the final destination. Therefore, the management model gives priority to the recommendations included in the Agenda 21, such as prevention, downsizing, segregation and recycling. The viability analysis of the model evaluates its sustainability according to environmental, social, political and economical criteria. For the economical analysis, a cost-avoiding model was used, with corrective measures, and it was applied in a simulation for São Paulo city. The profits obtained were of R$ 1 million a day. / Doutor

Aguilar Velazco, Yanire Alessandra, Gordillo Huerta, Andrea Lucero 28 August 2019 (has links)
The present research work analyzes the conformation of a Cluster in the developing countries of Latin America. Tourism competitiveness research and destination management model identify a series of key components for the optimal management of resources associated with the sector. The studies identify an applicable model in Huaral, province of the Lima region, in Peru. The objective of the document is to analyze the components of a destination management model to exploit the main resources through the proposal of a tourism Cluster implementation methodology. The theoretical and methodological approach for this model consists of the review of competitiveness models and their application for the validation of the tourist destination as a destination with competitive potential. Thus, with the help of data collection tools (surveys and semi-structured interviews) and database of the competent entities in the matter, it is proven that, in effect, the province has tourism potential. Likewise, a study is made on the applicable models of tourist clusters, taking as a reference the one proposed by Pearce (2016). Finally, destination analysis tools are used to define the degree of integration and the conformation and strengthening of agent integration networks and thus validate the proposal for the conformation of the cluster that fosters the strategic development of comparative and competitive advantages for the creation of an attractive and innovative offer. / Tesis

Characteristics, Competencies and Challenges: A Quantitative and Qualitative Study of the Senior Health Executive Workforce in New South Wales, 1990-1999

Liang, Zhanming, N/A January 2007 (has links)
Healthcare reforms and restructuring have been a global phenomenon since the early 1980s. The major structural reforms in the healthcare system in New South Wales (NSW) including the introduction and implementation of the area health management model (1986), the senior executive service (1989) and performance agreements (1990), heralded a new era in management responsibility and accountability. It is believed that the reforms, the process of the reforms, and the instability brought about by the reforms may have not only resulted in the change of senior healthcare management practices, but also in the change of competencies required for senior healthcare managers in meeting the challenges in the new era. However, limited studies have been conducted which examined how health reforms affected its senior health executive workforce and the above changes. Moreover, no study on senior healthcare managers has focused specifically on NSW after the major reforms were implemented. The purpose of this research was to examine how reforms in the NSW Health public sector affected its senior health executive workforce between 1990 and 1999 in terms of their roles and responsibilities, the competencies required, and the challenges they faced. This study, from a broad perspective, aimed to provide an overview of the NSW reforms, the forces behind the reforms and the effects the reforms may have had on senior health managers as predicted by the national and international literature. This study also explored the changes to the senior health executive workforce in the public sector during the period of rapid change in the 1990s and has provided indications of the managerial educational needs for future senior healthcare managers. Both quantitative and qualitative data have been collected by this study using triangulated methods including scientific document review and analyses, a postal questionnaire survey, and in-depth telephone interviews. The findings from the two quantitative methods informed and guided the development of the open-ended questions and overall focus of the telephone interviews. This study found differences in the characteristics and employment-related aspects between this study and previous studies in the 1980s and 1990s, and identified four major tasks, twelve key roles and seven core competencies required by senior health executives in the NSW Health public sector between 1990 and 1999. The study concludes that the demographic characteristics and the roles and responsibilities of the NSW Health senior executive workforce since the reforms of the 1980s have changed. This study also identified seven major obstacles and difficulties experienced by senior health executives and suggested that during the introduction and implementation of major healthcare reforms in NSW since 1986, barriers created by the ‘system’ prevented the achievement of its full potential benefits. Although this study did not focus on detailed strategies on how to minimise the negative impact of the health reforms on the senior health executives or maximise the chance of success in introducing new changes to the system, some suggestions are proposed. Most significantly, the study has developed a clear analytical framework for understanding the pyramidal relationships between tasks, roles and competencies and has developed and piloted a new competency assessment approach for assessing the core competencies required by senior health managers. These significant findings indicate the need for a replication of the study on an Australia-wide scale in order to extend the generalisability of the results and test the reliability and validity of the new competency assessment approach at various management levels in a range of healthcare sectors. This is the first study acknowledging the impact of the introduction of the area health management model, the senior executive service and performance agreements in the NSW public health system through an original insight into the personal experiences of the senior health executives of the reforms and examination of the major tasks that senior health executives performed and relevant essential competencies required to perform these tasks. The possible solutions identified in this study can guide the development of strategies in providing better support to senior healthcare managers when large-scale organisational changes are proposed in the future.

Study on Architecture-Oriented Memory Assembly and Testing OEM Factory Manufacturing Resource Planning Management Model

Hsu, I-Cheng 12 June 2012 (has links)
Memory assembly and testing OEM as the IC semiconductor backend process by Taiwan conducts 30% manufacturing output globally. Mainly 50% of the output focused on DRAM. The quality and shipping were headed as the key factor all over the world. The manufacturing process improved in South Korea and mainland China accompanied with the raw material price rising after the 311 earthquake in Japan, enterprises encountering enormous challenge so their OEM manufacturing needs to incorporate the copper wiring process and lower the cost to enhance the competitiveness. The rush orders exhausted the DRAM on-hand parts after economic recovery during the first half of 2011. The shortage mainly came from raw materials, human resources and equipments. Precise planning with elastic resource and information system control became the top priority. Therefore as Elpida, the DRAM manufacturer in Japan, filed the bankruptcy protection, memory assembly and testing OEM manufacturers should be paced in tuning the policy of enterprise, organization, production elements and information system to face the rapid global economic environments change. We propose architecture-oriented memory assembly and testing OEM factory manufacturing resource planning management model (AOMATOEMFMRPMM) in this study. AOMATOEMFMRPMM is an enterprise architecture which uses structure-behavior coalescence to define the components, operations and task forces during the planning of the manufacturing resources. AOMATOEMFMRPMM lets corporation supervisors understand and manipulate effectively the manufacturing resources, lessen the risk of re-organization, improve the quality of maintenance and efficiency of communication of the information system.
