Mobilisation des acteurs dans une démarche de prévention des troubles musculo-squelettiques et psycho-sociaux : un enjeu d'efficacité de l'intervention ergonomique : Le cas du secteur hospitalier / Mobilization of stakeholders in a process of prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and psycho-social : an efficiency issue ergonomic intervention : the hospital sector

Laneyrie, Elsa 24 April 2015 (has links)
This thesis aims to contribute to research aimed at identifying the conditions to sustainably prevent musculoskeletal and psychosocial disorders in companies. We brought into question how to create the conditions for the mobilization of stakeholders within an establishment, a factor for effective interventions, in order to enable the social construction of the prevention of musculoskeletal and psycho-social disorders. To do this, we followed the deployment of professional risk prevention approach in health care called ORSOSA. We qualitatively analyzed the activity of players backgrounds and different hierarchical levels during the deployment of a primary prevention approach. Our results suggest four categories of conditions for the mobilization of stakeholders when deploying a preventive approach: the organizational context, the strategies used by the practitioner, the link made by the internal stakeholders between their individual activity and gait implementation and finally the development of collective activity. The contribution of this thesis is to offer both a new methodology as well as a renewed overview to better mobilize stakeholders as early as possible when deploying a preventive approach, both to practitioners and researchers.

Managing Laponia : A World Heritage Site as Arena for Sami Ethno-Politics in Sweden

Green, Carina January 2009 (has links)
This study deals with the implications of implementing the World Heritage site of Laponia in northern Sweden. Laponia, consisting of previously well-known national parks such as Stora Sjöfallet and Sarek, obtained its World Heritage status in 1996. Both the biological and geological significance of the area and the local Sami reindeer herding culture are included in the justification for World Heritage status. This thesis explores how Laponia became an arena for the long-standing Sami ethno-political struggle for increased self-governance and autonomy. In many other parts of the world, various joint management schemes between indigenous groups and national environmental protection agencies are more and more common, but in Sweden no such agreements between the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Sami community have been tested. The local Sami demanded to have a significant influence, not to say control, over the future management of Laponia. These were demands that were not initially acknowledged by the local and national authorities, and the negotiations about the management of Laponia continued over a period of ten years. This thesis shows how the local Sami initially were marginalized in the negotiations both because of their alleged “difference” and because of their alleged “similarity” to the majority population. By navigating through what can be described as “a politics of difference,” the Sami involved eventually succeeded in articulating their cultural and historical difference in such a way that they were perceived as different but equal in relation to the other actors. By describing the many twist and turns of the negotiations between the local Sami and the local authorities, this thesis shows how the involvement of international agencies and global protection aspirations, such as the World Heritage Convention, might establish a link between the local and international levels that to a certain extent bypasses the national level and empowers indigenous/local peoples and their ethno-political objectives. As such, this study demonstrates how local/indigenous peoples’ involvement in environmental protection work is above all a political issue that ultimately leads to a situation where their relation with the state authorities is reshaped and reassessed.

The Kurdish Political Mobilization In The 1960s:the Case Of

Gundogan, Azat Zana 01 July 2005 (has links) (PDF)
This thesis examines the Kurdish political mobilization in the 1960s through focusing on the case of the Eastern Meetings. These meetings were organized by the Easterners group of the Turkish Workers Party in the various provinces in the autumn 1967 in the East and Southeast Anatolia with the aim of voicing the demands, claims and the grievances of these regions and the Kurdish population. Using the theoretical framework and the analytical tools presented by the social movements and collective action theory, this thesis examines the identity formation and mobilization processes of the Eastern Meetings and situates them within the socio-political context of the 1960s. Through this analysis, the thesis aims to draw a dynamic and relational picture of a particular moment in the history of Kurdish political activism.

Pro-kurdiska politiska motståndsstrategier i Turkiet : en diskursiv analys

Bal, Zelal January 2014 (has links)
This thesis focuses on pro-kurdish activism in Turkey during 2005–2009. It is based on a large number of interviews conducted with activists within the Diyarbakır area. The form of activism that this study seeks to describe is civil and political activism conducted within the legal framework ofTurkey’s judicial system and international law.The purpose of this thesis is to examine what kind of resistance strategies are used by pro-Kurdish political activists in Turkey, focusing on how these strategies are reflected in the language used by the respondents. The main question posed in the thesis is: What resistance strategies are used within the pro-Kurdish movement in Turkey? Two additional questions were also posed in order to make it possible to answer the main question. The first of these is: What external conditions influence pro-Kurdish mobilization in Turkey during the study’s time frame? In order to answer this question a theoretical framework is used that includes theories about ethnopolitical mobilization and political opportunity structures. The second question is: What resistance strategies are reflected in the language used by the pro-Kurdish activists? An important resistance strategy used by the pro-Kurdish activists is to adapt the language used in public communication to the legal and political environment in which they find themselves. They make linguistic choices in order to convey political messages while minimizing the legal consequences of doing so. The resistance strategies reflected in the interviews with the activists also include efforts to build organizations and cooperations at different levels, ranging from the international to the local level. Resistance strategies also include choices regarding what medium and language to use in promoting pro-Kurdish politics.

In Physical Therapy there are some procedures that depend on manual sensibility of physical therapist because that involves graded forces. Some studies have shown that there is a great difficulty in the perception of the force, occuring great variability on the application. The purpose of this study is to develop a portable device to measure the forces applied by physical therapists during the procedure of posteroanterior central pressure in the lumbar spine and to analyze some parameter involved in the method of articular mobilization. There was variability in application of the technique in many ways. Therefore, we can show with these results that the manual sensibility of the physical therapists during the application of the posteroanterior central pressure technique wasnþt accurate comparing the estimated values to the actual results obtained during the experiment interval of time.

Social Control and the Westboro Baptist Church: Fuel to the Fire?

Powell-Williams, Todd Austin 01 January 2008 (has links)
The social control of protest can be carried out by a number of agents; among them are the police, legislators, organized countermovements, and the news media. This research examines how the tactics and strategies of the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) have been shaped and maintained through both internal and external elements of social control. In addition to data obtained through field observations of WBC pickets at the funerals of military personnel who have died in the ensuing military campaign in Iraq, this research utilizes individual and peer group interviews with three generations of WBC members, in addition to a number of WBC internal documents and artifacts. The data provide a background on the WBC as a church, its culture, and the various mechanisms of internal social control that have guided them through upwards of 20,000 street pickets over the last eighteen years. Further, I examine the Westboro Baptists' utilization and perceptions of the role of the police in their "love crusades," as well as the protest policing strategy of Negotiated Management and their uniform utilization of it. This research adds to our current understanding of the relationship between mobilization and social control, specifically the function of narrative as a form of internal social control that facilitates the development of collective identity and culture, intergenerational movement socialization, and shifts in tactics and framing strategies utilized by mobilized collectives. Moreover, this research contributes to our understanding of the impact of ideology and access to legal resources in determining group responses to attempts at the external social control of their mobilization.
