Conscience, facticité de l'être : altérité et aliénation : une étude sur les œuvres littéraires de Pirandello, Moravia et Sartre / Consciousness and facticity of the being : alienation and alterity : a study about Pirandello, Moravia and Sartre works

Buratti, Alessandro 13 November 2015 (has links)
My thesis concerns the links between the literary works of Pirandello, Moravia and Sartre. I analyze the formation of Pirandello in the 19th century and the evolution of his proposal around the role of consciousness, its characteristics and the relation with its own body and the world of objects and others. Madness appears to have a position of privilege in order to reach an authentic existence. Moravia took back Pirandello's theory in his books and he developed an internal life description on contemporary man in connection with his society. Sartre, who read Pirandello and was a Moravia's friend, developed the importance of different consciousness' states (such as boredom, nausea or indifference) that are at the origin of moral projects.

[en] BETWEEN CENTURY AND CIRCLE: DIALOGUES ABOUT HISTORY AND NIHILISM IN THE PHILOSOPHICAL-HISTORIOGRAPHICAL TRAJECTORY OF KARL LÖWITH / [pt] ENTRE O SÉCULO E O CÍRCULO: DIÁLOGOS SOBRE HISTÓRIA E NIILISMO NA TRAJETÓRIA HISTORIOGRÁFICO-FILOSÓFICA DE KARL LÖWITH

LAÍSE HELENA BARBOSA ARAÚJO 16 September 2011 (has links)
[en] Karl Löwith (1897-1973) has studied central themes in the current historiographical debate - as philosophy of history and historicism, European nihilism and crisis of modernity - as well as to the analysis of key authors for understanding of this debate - as Karl Marx, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jacob Burckhardt and Martin Heidegger. In order to bring closer to this discussion, this thesis aims to analyze the historiographical and philosophical trajectory of this author, who, known for his criticism of the modern conception of history, devised a secularization theory and proposed, in the late phase of his work, a reinterpretation of the concept of man who could translate the equal and simultaneous coexistence between history and nature as an alternative to modern ontohistoricism.

Métaphysique et politique à l'épreuve du nihilisme / Metaphysics and politics challenged by nihilism

Laborie, Karine 07 November 2011 (has links)
This thesis does not present a supplementary approach about the death of God and its effects but a study of nihilism, a disqualified way of thought, which could renew a diagnosis on the crisis of modernity. Nihilsm becomes really a threat as soon as scepticism takes shape in Ancient Greece. It is worth questioning stetting nihilism and scepticism as equivalent when considered through the history of metaphysics and rising of totalitarian regimes. This could be accepted only if one considers the ancient and modern forms of scepticism as proceeding from nihilism, and, on the other hand, if the crisis putting an end to modernity can be interpreted from a sceptical point of view. A dynamic approach to metaphysics (as tension and link between dogmatism and scepticism) casts a doubt upon a nihilist interpretation of scepticism. Suspensive thought in its ancient ways, carrying indecision in modern times, scepticism separates from nihilism. The latest eliminates all differences ; by itself, it is the abolition of the common ground between dogmatism and scepticism. Whatever the creative potential of nihilism from a speculative point of view, in the foundation of totalitarian politics, only its destructive aspect stands out. Indeed, modernity opens on a challenge of a sceptic type : which basis for one's belief ? Yet, after the death of God, this question witnesses no longer a state of indecision but truly as the permanent loss of foundation. While it leads to a crisis of the goal from a metaphysical scope, the institutionalization of nihilism provides a crisis of meaning. Contemporary scepticism, caught in the turmoil, appears as discredited because of its presumed involvement with nihilist politics. Could it still be a resource in our time when forced to pratice an original self-examination ?

To fulfill this research, we will have as main research corpus that is the posthumous fragment 11 [99], which expresses the nihilism as a movement that becomes present on the rise from the collapse of the events of supreme values; presented here as the three categories of reason, such as goal, unity and truth. Thus, it is necessary to focus on understanding the meaning of the value cathagory for Nietzsche and, also, to evince the link between the act of valuation and the movement of nihilism, paying attention to another important element that surrounds the Nietzschean philosophy: the perspectivism. Moreover, in order to investigate about nihilism and everything that surrounds it as event, it is necessary to point to the fundamental principle in which Nietzsche names the real aspect, the will to power in its eternal returning. As a principle of what engenders value and the dynamics of life, it is imperative, then, point to the will to power as that which governs the reality, not as essence or substance, but as something that insist on returning to constitute, as which insists on returning with eagerness for power.

But while it offers cognitive support, it also presents a need that is fulfilled by an educational proposal based on a not-yet-conscious being. An education based on hope has four essential pillars: learning to know, learning to do, learning to be, learning to live together and, most of all, immerging into in the seas of uncertainty. In times when school is a promoter of certainties at the expense of uncertainties, education must not forsake the notion of the unpredictable and immeasurable, nor the need to find ways to enable better understanding of aspect related to the not-yet-be. The employed theoretical and methodological elements in this work paint a corpus through an interactive process in which layers of additional texts are subjected to analysis / Este trabalho objetiva demonstrar que o Princ?pio esperan?a, sistema filos?fico arquitetado pelo pensador alem?o Ernst Bloch, no qual a esperan?a assume car?ter ontol?gico, oferece suporte cognitivo que possibilita a supera??o do vazio imposto pelo niilismo na atualidade, principalmente no campo da educa??o.

Vida como vontade de poder: perspectivismo, metafísica e niilismo no pensamento de Nietzsche / Life as will to power

Rebeca Furtado de Melo 23 March 2011 (has links)
This dissertation intends to describe, in its specificity, the concept of will to power in Nietzsche's thought, showing how the metaphysics can be understood from this thought. From the dialogue between Nietzsche and thinkers of the tradition, this study intends to analyze the concept of metaphysics and the historical moment called the "death of God", together with nihilism. In describing the development of Western thought, the text seeks to show why Nietzsche might call the history of metaphysics the will to truth. Therefrom, it reconstructs the fundamental relationship between the notions of truth and knowledge in the nuances of each season of the metaphysical thought, showing how this process culminates in Nietzsche's thought, with the questioning of the value of truth. The other hand, the dissertation aims to show how the death of God and nihilism make possible, in a sense, the emergence of Nietzsche's own philosophy, arguing that the will to power and perspectivism are thoughts made possible by the historical development of metaphysics.

Labirintos do nada: a crítica de Nietzsche ao niilismo de Schopenhauer / Nothing\' s labyrinth: Nietzsche\'s critic to the Schopenhauer\' s Nihilism

Jarlee Oliveira Silva Salviano 12 March 2007 (has links)
Arthur Schopenhauer and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche\'s philosophies of Will present two contrary positions in relation to the sense of life. In both cases life should be explained as an expression of blind and irrational force, becoming a synonym of pain and suffering - nevertheless, the reaction of each in the face of this philosophic finding of the XIX century, places them in opposing paths. In the Schopenhaueran commendation to the denial of will, of self-denying escape in the direction of Nothing, Nietzsche finds the opposite to his philosophy, passive nihilism against which he proposes active nihilism of the affirmation of the Eternal return.

Nietzsche e a PÃs-Modernidade: a questÃo do niilismo entre a metafÃsica de artista e o espÃrito livre / Nietzsche and the PÃt-Modernist: the problem of the niilism bethew the metafhÃsic of the artist and the free espirit

Eduardo Andrà Rodrigues de Lima 26 November 2009 (has links)
This work examines and exposes the parameters of the Nietzscheâs critics to the rationality of Socrates, to the teleological modern ideas and to the value of absolutely truth and focus how it does forges the nihilism conception and does inaugurates the postmodern age. Through those perspectives, this work analyses in the The Birth of Tragedy from the Spirit of Music, the destruction of the tragic myth caused by the devastated effect of Socrates and those correlations with the creation of the metaphysic of the artist; in the The Second Untimely Meditations (On the Use and Abuse of History for Life) it investigates the ideas of history that takes life, in the untimely present, as the most important value and as the opposition of a aprioristic and decadent telos; In Human, all too human, it focus the Nietzscheâs skeptical and its positive attitude as a new model of thinking. We concluded that the Nietzscheâs philosophy deals in a positive way with the nihilism and creates a new model of knowledge beyond the Modern categories of reason constituting an unquestionable path to understand our contemporaneous world as a postmodern age.
