Previous issue date: 2013-02-05 / The insertion of the Principle of Efficiency in the Federal Constitution by Constitutional Amendment No. 19/1998, became a legal requirement for efficiency in public administration in Brazil, which became a model for formally oriented management. This research aims to identify, through the use of free evocations technical, social representations of the management of the Instituto Federal do Maranh?o ? Campi S?o Lu?s - Maracan? and Cod? about efficiency in the management of public schools of the Federal Network. The research was conducted among a universe of 73 (seventy-three) of these managers Campi. The theoretical framework on which this research was supported was Social Representation Theory, of Serge Moscovici, and its complementary approach, the Central Nucleus Theory, developed by Jean-Claude Abric. The free evocations were analyzed by the technique of frame construction of four houses, after using the software EVOC 2003 ?, which sued the combination of the frequency of recall of each word and its order of evocation. The results of this research show how the core elements of social representations of managers, the words: commitment, accountability, transparency and ethics. The word dedication represented the first periphery. The words training, commitment, planning, organization and quality formed the third quadrant, where are the contrasting elements of representation. And the words: agility, punctuality and respect formed the Periphery Second of the representation. Through this research, it was also possible to identify the profile of managers and their opinions on various aspects related to the efficient management of public education. Campi S?o Lu?s ?

The research that served as a basis for the construction of this doctoral thesis had as an object of investigation the process of transformation of the Federal Center of Technological Education of Para?ba into Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology that took place during the two governments of President Lu?s In?cio Lula da Silva (2003-2010). It was sought to reflect on the reasons for this process at the national level, and then to understand how it took place in the said state. Why, this was the central issue, the institutions that make up the federal network of professional education, although already having reached a very complex level, in their juridical-institutional form, had to be reconfigured to form Federal Institutes that can offer, from initial basic training, to master's and doctoral courses? What caused this phenomenon and what are the justifications for doing so? In the Para?ba experience, given the lack of secondary sources that reconstitute and analyze this process and the scarcity of primary sources, except for some official documents, what exists is the oral reports of the participants. For this reason, non-structured interviews were conducted with eight individuals, between managers and former managers of the former CEFET / PB, and also used, as a data source, the conference of a representative of SETEC / MEC, held in Para?ba, besides official documents. The method of analysis of the interviews was the thematic analysis, according to the guidelines of authors such as Bardin (1977), Richardson (2013), Bourdieu (2012) and Amado (2013). Among the theoretical supports on professional education in Brazil, the following stand out: Cunha (1991, 2000), Manfredi (2002), Kuenzer (1990, 2015), Pacheco, Pereira, Domingos Sobrinho (2010), Pacheco (2011). On social representations, the authors are Moscovici (2012) and Jodelet (2001). The results indicate that: the transformation process of CEFET / PB into IFPB reproduced, on a micro scale, the macro complexity of the expansion process that occurred throughout the country; despite the limits and contradictions between the discourse and the practice of a government of a popular and democratic nature, it has shown that it is possible to introduce changes in the structure and format of the network, in order to meet not only the demands of the economy but also to contribute to the strengthening of citizenship; the analysis of the psychosocial dimension of the researched phenomenon, based on social representations (JODELET, 2001; MOSCOVICI, 2012) allowed a better understanding of the actions of the subjects engaged in the process, avoiding to reduce them to epiphenomena of economic structures, political-ideological disputes or mere manifestations of individual idiosyncrasies.

Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Sa?de, Sociedade e Ambiente, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2013. / ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to analyze social representations, knowledge and practices related to the National Vitamin A Supplementation Program (PNSVitA in its Portuguese acronym) in a municipality of the Jequitinhonha Valley. This Program has been established within the framework of the Brazilian Unified Health System in order to prevent / control Vitamin A Deficiency (VAD), which is currently one of the major public health problems associated with food and nutrition. As far as methodology is concerned, a qualitative approach and the Social Representations Theory were adopted. Semi-structured and focused interviews were conducted with twenty mothers of children who benefit from the National Vitamin A Supplementation Program, this number being defined by progressive inclusion, interrupted by the saturation method. The interviews were tape-recorded, transcribed and subjected to thematic content analysis. With regard to the practices relating to the National Vitamin A Supplementation Program, this study reveals that vitamin A supplementation has been a strategy linked to the National Immunization Program. This is an issue that may have both positive and negative repercussions. It shows that the supplementation practice has not been accompanied by a proper communication, information and education process targeted at the beneficiary population. This may influence the knowledge and conceptions that mothers possess about vitamin A, VAD, and the PNSVitA. It indicates that supplementation with mega-doses of the vitamin has been the central strategy to prevent / control VAD, and suggests the absence of activities aimed at the promotion of appropriate and healthy eating habits. Concerning the knowledge that mothers possess about the subject area of the study, it is evidenced that, in general, such knowledge is absent or is not consistent with what is described in the scientific and technical literature. This is an issue that may affect the recognition of VAD as a local public health problem and that may influence the adoption of co-responsibility for preventive measures. Based on the analysis of their knowledge, in the light of the Social Representations Theory, this study reveals that some mothers view vitamin A as the ?vitamin from the community health post?, which indicates that this nutrient is primarily perceived as medication, and not as a constituent element of food. It reveals the conception that vitamin A is a vaccin or simply a vitamin (in a generic way), and finally it demonstrates that this vitamin is valued by these mothers, even though at times they do not understand its importance. It is concluded that, for effective prevention / control of vitamin A deficiency, it is necessary to prioritize food-based strategies rather than vitamin A drug supplementation, taking into account the human right to adequate food. In addition, it is necessary to develop / strengthen population-focused educational activities concerning this nutritional deficiency and the actions to prevent / control it.

The corpus resulting from evocations about continuing education, as well as teachers' justifications were submitted to different computer methods/techniques, through the EVOC ALCESTE Programs, respectively, providing the opportunity to highlight a network of interconnections between the likely core and the production of discourse. Although the educational ideologies that underlie social perception of the state teachers are anchored in New School and technicist concepts and the teachers in the city tend to an ideology of social interaction, the choice of working with the symbolic field identified the political-social commitment of groups with the impacts of training on learning of their students / A investiga??o ? metaforicamente apresentada como uma viagem n?utica, tendo como objeto de estudo as representa??es sociais de forma??o continuada de professores do Ensino Fundamental e como objetivo analis?-las comparativamente em rela??o ?s participantes das redes estadual e municipal, situadas em Natal/RN, Brasil. Previous issue date: 2008-02-29 / Remote Communities. Absence of artifacts and minimization of the exacerbated consumption of modernity. The desire which spread beyond what reality can provide. Expressions like this are present in this paper which focus in the social
representations of school built by residents who live at the riversides of M?a and Azul Rivers, in M?ncio Lima, Acre State. To do so, we used the methodological contribution of the semi-structured interview, observation of the place while a natural inhabitant of the region, and also photos analyses of local reality. A key feature of the riverside homes is the glued paper on the walls of houses forming a panel set of portraits, pictures, letters and numbers for all appreciated. Regardless of whether or not read, there is admiration for the color
of the images, the layout of the letters, and the things of the city awakening the desire to obtain school knowledge. The resident of this Amazon region maintains a close relationship between thinking, acting and feeling living harmonically with nature that connects them to the ideal landscape which is
revisited by the graphic material that attracts wondering what exists beyond the shores of the river, beyond the horizon of green forests. It is a life entirely accomplished by the imaginary where exist a framed landscape merged and
confused by the real and the supernatural, in which men and gods walk together by the forest, sailing by the rivers and seek a possible aesthetic between the real and ideal. The Theory of Social Representations spread by Serge Moscovici (2005) and Jodelet (2001) guided our gaze on the
understanding what the school is and its representation to the riversides, as well to reveal the relation they practice with the knowledge that is spread by the mystification and the knowledge that is practice daily. Based in Bardin s
thematic analysis (2004) we tried to raise such contents combining them in five analysis categories / Comunidades long?nquas.
Buscamos
atrav?s da an?lise tem?tica de conte?do Bardin (2004), fazer emergir tais conte?dos agrupando-os em cinco categorias de an?lise

Previous issue date: 2009-09-22 / This thesis is the result of a piece of research on hospitality social representations
between tourism professionals and academics in the city of Natal. The reasearch s
corner stone is the point of the view that the notion of hospitality, with all its
theoretical and practical implications, is essential to the success of any tourist
destination. Is there any relevance in the growing use of the word, almost as a
synonym for tourism? How is this notion, first learned in the domestic context and
then exercised in the contact with the city and especially with visitors, represented in
the learning process for professional practice and in the exercise of professional
tourist reception itself? In order to answer this question, initially we chose to study the
concept of hospitality in their current academic view, with reference to the French
school, which binds hospitality to the maussian perspective of donation, and other
scholars of the current theme, with emphasis on the research performed in the
program of Master of Hospitality at the Anhembi Morumbi University, whose
philosophy imprints in the hospitality concept the same sense we want to give this
study. Then we chose to analyze the notion of hospitality, by the Social
Representations Theory, in light of Moscovici s methodology, as well as the analysis
of the core of this concept among tourism professionals and students. It was found
that hospitality is still a very diffuse reference to representations of these two groups
and that academic education, if accepted both theoretical and practical implications
of this research s starting point, will still have a long way to go. Cities such as Natal,
"naturally" hospitable, according to its dwellers, where tourism is relevant to their
economies, need (re)thinking and (re)organizing, continuously, their actions towards
quality and performance of their professional training especially those concerned with
A pesquisa parte
Existe alguma pertin?ncia no uso crescente desta
palavra como sin?nimo de turismo? Como os ritos ancestrais da hospitalidade,
internalizados, inicialmente, no contexto dom?stico e, posteriormente, no contexto
aceitas as implica??es te?ricas e pr?ticas desta pesquisa, as institui??es p?blicas e
hospedar

Previous issue date: 2012-02-26 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / This thesis is resulted of a research on propagated the social representations of constructivism
in the Internet, which as had estimated basic the idea of Moscovici (1961) of that the media it
has determinative paper in the popularization of the scientific theories, in formation e
propagation of the social representations and in the construction of behaviors human beings.
Understanding the Internet as latest space of circulation of social communications, therefore,
privileged field (and still not explored) for studies of social representations, we choose this
half midi?tico as investigative field of our research, it if it constitutes in the "great ocean of
the new informational planet" (LEVY, 2000, p. 126), besides making possible the interaction
with different forms of images, different individuals, different ' world ', configuring itself as
important space of symbolic production e of analysis of the representational process in the
world contemporary. Based in these questions, we trace as objective to analyze the circulating
speech propagated on-line on the constructivism, searching to apprehend the social
representations shared the respect. This objective was constructed in face of the insertion of
the theory constructivist in the educational way has two decades more than, as well as of its
consolidation as reference in different social contexts, mainly in midi?tico. The question that
directed the research was: as this theory obtains to penetrate in some layers of our society, to
influence the world readings e the behaviors of different people? That modifications it suffers
in this trajectory and which the paper of the Internet in this process? The corpus of the
research was constituted of the substances on the theory found in the Internet, in pages in
Portuguese of Google, in the period of 27 of July of 2004 the 17 of August of 2004. The data
they had been analyzed on the basis of the project of analysis of content elaborated for
Moscovici (1961) and in the estimated theoreticians of the social communication, in special of
the hypermedia. The results had disclosed that the Internet participates of determinative form
in the process of popularization of the constructivism theory, not only spreading out its
estimated theoretician- methodological for the domain public (diffusion), but propagating
positive beliefs and images of its postulates (propagation) and using them it service of
interests politicians e financiers (propaganda). The popularization of the constructivism in the
Internet and social representations of this theory propagated configure one process in which
the theory passes of pedagogical theoretical landmark for grief, assuming a commercial
character extremely and the status of solution for problems of the education and the society,
stirring up attitudes and behaviors in public, most general possible, that comes to take care of
to the interests politicians e marketing. Recognizing the diversity, the permanent renewal of
information and the negotiation of directions gifts in the Internet, as well as the innumerable
ones forms of access to the information found by it, we consider results of the research as
fruits of the inherent characteristics to this way midi?tico, to the time where we call the
attention for relativity these results, for the plasticity of knowing them and sensible
propagated on-line e for the great challenge that the hypermedia imposes to the study of
communication phenomena, of the social representations and in educational quarrels and for
the necessity of new research that they investigate the forms of socialization of the
information and communication propitiated by hypermedia and its implications in the
construction of the symbolic universes and in practical social / Esta tese ? resultado de uma pesquisa sobre as representa??es sociais de construtivismo
an?lise do processo representacional no mundo contempor?neo.
construtivismo, buscando apreender as representa??es sociais compartilhadas a respeito.
principalmente no midi?tico.
A populariza??o do construtivismo

Previous issue date: 2013-08-09 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / This research aims to understand the social representations Teaching Work in groups of undergraduate students of Physics and Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. For this, the proposal was based on the three theoretical and methodological consensus Carvalho (2012) in the explanation of socio-genetic mechanisms constituents of dynamic consensus that has functionality to your organization. It Was used to achieve this goal, the theoretical-epistemological Serge Moscovici (1978, 2003), Jodelet (2011), Wagner (1998,( 2011) and Carvalho (2012). The corpus analyzed results from a qualitative and quantitative research, developed in three stages. The first two (2) questionnaires to fifty (50) of each undergraduate course, a questionnaire and another profile for collection of free associations concerning motes inductors "Give Lesson," "Student" and "Teacher". The second step in the procedure Multiple Classifications, Roazzi (1995), aimed for another thirty (30) undergraduate students for each course, as well as Document Analysis of Educational Projects Curriculum courses in Physics and Chemistry. The data analysis of the first stage focused on descriptive statistics and frequency and average order of the words associated with motes inductors. The results from the Multiple Classification Procedure submitted to multidimensional analysis (MSA multidimensional scalogram analysis) and SSA (Similarity Structure Analysis), were interpreted by the theoretical and methodological proposal of the three consensus, supported by analysis of the rhetorical nature of justifications classifications and categorizations of words, boosted in times of application of Procedure Multiple Classification. The data revealed that the groups surveyed were the same Social Representation with specific dynamic consensual. Thinking Teaching Work for these groups it is considered in three dimensions: the BE-DO-HAVE of teaching. In the group of Physics consensus was clear semantic, which expressed a dynamic in which the interpretations of "Teaching Work" peacefully coexist on perceptions of two concepts: An identity around the "BE" "Teacher" or "BE" "Educator" and the other, how they think about professional development. The type of group consensus Chemistry pointed to a consensual logic hierarchical order in which the gradual between the elements of BE-DO-HAVE attested conflicts and disagreements about the perceptual object "Teaching Work", around what value most, whether they are the attributes of personal or professional-technical dimension of teaching, in the course of professional development. The thesis to explain the mechanisms of socio-genetic Representation Social Teaching Work by theoretical and methodological proposal was confirmed / Esta pesquisa objetiva compreender as Representa??es Sociais de Trabalho Docente por grupos de licenciandos de F?sica e Qu?mica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.
