Dostupnost sociálních a návazných služeb pro osoby bez přístřeší na Klatovsku / The Availability of Social and Consecutive Services for the Homeless in the Klatovy DistrictMakrlíková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis ,,The Availability of Social and Consecutive Services for the Homeless in the Klatovy District" is to determinate the real availability of services in the Klatovy district and the awareness of people without shelter about the possibilities of assistance. Theoretical part explains the terms exclusion, poverty and homelessness (identification, causes, consequences). The theoretical part in the second chapter discusses the possibilities of social work with people without shelter. There are defined participants who engaged in problems of homelessness at the beginning. The work defines the social services, social benefits and the process of reintegration subsequently. The theoretical part presents some housing models - Housing Ready, Housing First and Social Housing in the end. Practical part is the most important part of the thesis. There is the social demographic analysis of the Klatovy region in the beginning. The main section contains research work. The results of the research indicate that the services are available for people from the Klatovy region more than for other candidates. Currently the majority of the services have sufficient capacity, but their permeability isn't assured. Persons without shelter are not adequately informed, most of the information obtain...

”Man får in något slags rättsväsende som skyddar kvinnor” -En kvalitativ studie om systerskap(ande) online med våldet som gemensam erfarenhetLindsmyr, Elin January 2020 (has links)
This study aims to understand how women’s interactions in online based forums concerningexperiences of violence contributes to practices of sisterhood. Women’s interactions havebeen analysed using conceptual understandings of awareness-raising and sisterhood. Thestudy’s primary contributions are the theoretical concepts: Linear and Circular practices ofsisterhood. The concepts are coined and introduced with the aim to make divergences withincontemporary understandings and practices of sisterhood visible. Circular practices ofsisterhood refer to the traditional practice based on a ‘give-and-take’ relation, with emotionalcloseness. Linear practices of sisterhood aim to delineate how sisterhood can be practices ‘to’someone, rather than ‘between’ two women. Linear practices of sisterhood can be explainedas: A practices sisterhood towards B, with the aim for B to be able to practice sisterhoodtowards C, and so on. I suggest that this change within traditionally central concepts is a resultof a professionalised work and movement towards men’s violence on women. My study is based on eight semi structured interviews. Five informants represented ‘shelterorganisations’, (referred to as formal forums) and three informants who represented accountson Instagram (referred to as informal forums). The interviews were centred around howwomen’s interactions concerning experiences of violence is understood and practiced withinthese forums. This study draws the conclusion that both formal and informal forumsunderstand women’s interactions concerning experiences of violence similarly. This as all ofthe informants understand violence as a female experience where interactions women-towomen has a certain value. All of the informants also describe these interactions as stipulatingpractices of sisterhood. What on the other hand differs between formal and informal forumsare the changes within the practices of awareness-raising and practices of sisterhood in theformal forums. With the support of Jeffner (1994) and Helmersson (2017) I argue thesechanges is a result sprung from the societies will to professionalise the work with men’sviolence on women.

“Att synliggöra kvinnans motstånd är otroligt viktigt i hennes läkningsprocess" : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om kvinnojourers arbete med våldsutsatta kvinnor / “Shedding light on women’s resistance is incredible important in her healing-process" : A qualitative interview study about women’s shelters work with abused women.Magnusson, Johanna, Knutsson, Vanna January 2022 (has links)
Men´s violence against women causes major physical and psychological consequences and is therefore classified as a prioritized public health issue by the UN. The government offers various forms of help for abused women, including support and protection through non-profit women´s shelters. The national association Unizon incorporate 90 women´s shelters that through knowledge of violence, gender and power, offer support and protection to women and children that are victims of violence. This study aims to increase the knowledge of women´s shelters work with abused women. The basis of the study is formulated through two research questions; “How do professionals work to shed light on resistance and the responsibility for the violence?” and “How does shedding the light on resistance interact with the placement of responsibility?” Based on the aim of the study, a qualitative research approach was adopted in which five semi-structured interviews with professionals at Unizon´s women´s shelters were conducted. Through a thematic analysis, two themes were identified; “To prepare the woman to leave” and “To prepare the woman to not return”. The results were analyzed using a relational perspective on power and the power triangle, as well as the concept of empowerment. The results demonstrated that by referring to violence as violence, the resistance of the abused woman is made visible, which in turn leads to clarity concerning the issue of responsibility.

It has never been this quiet” : A qualitative study regarding the Covid-19 pandemics impact on women’s shelters in SkåneRasmusson, Ida January 2022 (has links)
The Covid-19 pandemic has made a global impact and the risk of domestic violence against women has thus increased. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the work and actions of women’s shelters, as well as their cooperation with the social services, has been affected or changed by the covid-19 pandemic and if new actions have been implemented. The study is based on a qualitative approach where eight women’s shelters, located in Skåne, have been interviewed. Together with the collected empirical data and the study’s theoretical choices, as well as a thematic analysis method, I aim to illuminate the women shelter’s stories concerning the pandemic’s impact. Furthermore, I intend to illumine their course of action to maintaining and changning their work to achieve their goal and continue to help abused women and thus prevent men's violence against women in close relationships. The results demonstrate that it has become more difficult for women's shelters to carry out their work and actions due to the fear caused by the pandemic, while at the same time observing an increase regarding the number of women exposed to violence who contact them. The women's shelters decide to change and expand their previous actions, but also to implement new ones, which they, together with their new way of thinking, then choose to retain when society begins to reopen. The women's shelters' cooperation with the social services is affected and changed as they can no longer talk and visit each other as they previously did. In addition to the problems concerning their communication with the social services, it is also observed that fewer women are placed by the social services in the women's sheltered housing. This essay enlightens the importance of women shelter's work in regards to the prevention of men's violence against women in close relationships and how essential it is to possess knowledge about crisis management when uncertain times, such as the covid-19 pandemic, arise.

Violence against women in Peru has become a social problem of priority attention. According to the ENDES (Demographic and Family Health Survey), from 2010 to 2018, cases of physical violence in women have decreased by only 6%, a very low percentage for a long period of time.
The Integral Support Center for Women Victims of Violence, is proposed in order to help reduce the problems that the district of Comas is currently experiencing, in addition to the precarious infrastructure of the establishments located in this district that offer help to women and children who suffer from violence.

Survival strategies for the sustainable livelihoods of migrant youth in Musina Town, RSA : a case of refugees in refugee shelters managed by churchesRamoshaba, Dillo Justin January 2021 (has links)
Thesis (M. A. (Social Work)) -- University of Limpopo, 2021 / Southern Africa encounters an exceptional international human mobility. Several studies
view South Africa as a host country for a large number of immigrants, particularly
migrant youth who come from other African countries. Upon their arrival in South Africa,
studies show that migrant youth encounter a vast number of challenges such as being
excluded from welfare services of South Africa. It is from this background that this study
sought to explore survival strategies that migrant youth in Musina Town employ for their
sustainability. This study presents qualitative findings on the survival strategies
employed by migrant youth in Musina Town, Limpopo Province of South Africa. Ten
migrant youth in Musina Town who are accommodated in shelters managed by
churches were used as a case study and were purposively and conveniently selected to
participate in the study. Data was collected through face to face semi-structured
interviews and analysed thematically through the assistance of the Nvivo software. The
resilience, neoclassical and network theories were used to guide the study. However,
the resilience theory served as the over-arching theory of the study as it is more
relevant and appropriate in explaining how migrant youth bounced back to normality
after the hardships they experienced in South Africa. Findings reveal that bad economic
conditions from countries of origin pushed young people to South Africa for better
livelihoods. However, due to lack of funds, some crossed borders fraudulently for their
survival. Upon their arrival in South Africa, findings further revealed that some migrant
youth engage in criminal acts to make a living. It was also found that some migrant
youth are involved in sex work to make a living. Social networking with their
counterparts, street vending, cheap and exploitative labour were also found to be
strategies employed by migrant youth for their sustainable livelihoods. It is thus
concluded that migrant youth in South Africa are exposed to bad conditions upon their
arrival in the country for their sustainable livelihoods. Findings also reveal various
coping strategies that migrant youth employ to mitigate their exclusion from South
African welfare services. Recommendations which include integrated intervention and
future research are provided in this study

Gestion autonomique de la QoS au niveau middleware dans l'IoT / Automatic QoS management at the middleware level in IoTBanouar, Yassine 21 September 2017 (has links)
The Internet is experiencing a drastic expansion again. In addition to conventional terminals, it now allows to interconnect all kinds of connected objects allowing the capture of events from the considered environment, but also the remote control of this environment. Billions of these objects are thus led in 2020 to contribute to the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT). This paradigm, which extends the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) concept, paves the way for new uses such as home automation, remote monitoring, or even the factories of the future. Several architectures have been proposed to structure the IoT. Their foundation is based on a vision in four levels: (1) Equipment level, which includes the IoT equipment, (2) Network level containing the various technologies for data exchanges, (3) Middleware level, which offers applications an abstraction layer for underlying levels, and finally, (4) Application level, which consists of the set of applications contributing, via their interactions with the connected objects, to the realization of a business activity. Our work is positioned at Middleware level and is based on the architecture defined in the SmartM2M and then oneM2M standards. Several challenges have to be (re)considered in this context. We are mainly interested in the Quality of Service (QoS) issue expressed by some business applications. Proposals addressing this issue essentially target the Network level. For the Middleware level, standards focus mainly on the proposal of architectures and functional services. The non-functional requirements, typically QoS, are little or not considered. Meanwhile, proprietary solutions do not consider the dynamic evolution of the context and requirements. In response to these limitations, we propose a dynamic management approach, i.e. during the execution of the system, and autonomous, i.e. without human intervention. The proposed management, guided by models, focuses on behavioural and structural reconfiguration actions related to application traffic and/or Middleware resources.
