Analisamos sua atuação como pintor de paisagens, assim como sua atividade de diretor da Academia Imperial de Belas Artes entre 1834 a 1851, período em que realizou uma série de inovações no campo do ensino artístico. Entre estas medidas, está o desenvolvimento do curso de desenho, a criação das Exposições Gerais de Belas Artes em 1840, a organização da Pinacoteca da Academia, o Prêmio de Viagem à Itália em 1845 e uma constante preocupação com a atuação do artista na sociedade. Nesse sentido, foi de suma importância o trabalho conjunto de Taunay e Grandjean de Montigny na busca pelo reconhecimento e estabelecimento profissional dos arquitetos acadêmicos na sociedade carioca de então. A abordagem à pintura de paisagem de Taunay realizou-se através de duas vias distintas. A primeira delas refere-se à análise do primeiro panorama brasileiro exposto em Paris - o Panorama da cidade do Rio janeiro - com base nos desenhos elaborados por Taunay e pintados por Guillaume Ronmy em 1824. A segunda concentra-se na pintura de paisagem realizada entre as décadas de 1820 e 1840, as quais demonstram, pouco a pouco, uma nova abordagem temática do gênero. Com este trabalho, caminhamos na tentativa de cobrir uma lacuna dentro da história da arte brasileira do século XIX, seja na história do ensino artístico, seja na temática da pintura de paisagem / Abstract: This doctoral thesis studies the French painter Félix-Émile Taunay career in Rio de Janeiro, in between the years of 1824 and 1851. We analyze his activity as landscape painter, as well as his activity as director of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts between 1834 and 1851, when he implemented several innovations in the area of artistic teaching. Among such accomplishments, we can list the development of a drawing course, the creation of the Exposições Gerais de Belas Artes (General Expositions of Fine Arts) in 1840, the organization of the Picture Gallery of the Academy, the Prix de Rome in 1845, and the existence of a continuous concern about the action of the artist in society. In this sense, it was of chief importance the work of Taunay in cooperation with Grandjean de Montignv for the professional establishment of academic architects in the carioca society at the time. The account of Taunay's landscape painting in this thesis is twofold. First, there is the analysis of the first Brazilian panorama exhibited in Paris - the Panorama da Cidade do Rio de janeiro - based upon Taunay's projected drawings, painted by Guillaume Ronmy in 1824. Second, we focus on the landscape painting from the 1820's to the 1840's, which gradually show a new thematic account of the genus. "And Never the Twain Shall Meet"? : Separate Worlds and Characterization in David Lodge's Nice Work

This essay uses some tenets of structuralism as well as the concept of “discourse” to analyze David Lodge’s novel Nice Work (1988). The opposite discourses of Academia and Industry, as expounded through the life and character of the main protagonists, are analyzed as they are exposed throughout the novel through the involuntary mingling of the main characters. The governing idea is that three separate discourses can be gleaned as a basic structure in the novel, forming a triad that suggests the idea of a possible synthesis, which is shown to be what propels the plot of the novel onward. As in Hegelian dialectics the clash between a thesis and its antithesis makes the reader expect the third term, a synthesis, which is offered in the mediating discourse of the narrator. Further, this essay focuses on three levels of exchange within the novel and its protagonists: the intellectual, emotional and practical ones. The synthesis of discourses is shown to come to a halt in the end, and the opposites seem to stand unperturbed, even though an exchange of values, ideas and actions has occurred.

"Akademins (o)föränderliga genusmönster" : En analys av jämställdhetsinsater vid Luleå tekniska universitet / "(Un)changing gender patterns in academia" : An analysis of gender equality efforts  at Luleå University of Technology

I denna avhandling fokuseras akademins (o)föränderliga genusmönster för att öka kunskapen om förutsättningarna för långsiktig förändring av rådande genusmönster i akademin. Trots olika jämställdhetsinsatser vid högskolor och universitet är de nämligen fortfarande könssegregerade, vilket är speciellt tydligt på höga positioner. Endast 27 procent av professorerna i akademin är kvinnor (SCB, 2016) och vid Luleå tekniska universitet är motsvarande andel 19 procent (Luleå tekniska universitet, 2017). För att förstå bakgrunden till detta och undersöka vägar till förändring studeras i avhandlingen fem projekt vid Luleå tekniska universitet som genomförts under perioden 2005-2013. Utifrån tidigare forskning om akademins genusmönster analyseras och kategoriseras projektens jämställdhetsinsatser som individorienterade, strukturorienterade och processorienterade insatser. Genom intervjuer, fokusgrupper, observationer, olika interaktiva metoder och workshopar söks svar fyra frågeställningar: Vilka förutsättningar i form av metaforer och diskurser råder i projektens akademiska kontext? Hur kan en individorienterad, strukturorienterad respektive process-orienterad ansats användas för att förstå förutsättningarna för jämställdhetsinsatser i akademin? Hur påverkar kombinationen av genusteori och interaktiva metoder förutsättningarna för jämställdhetsinsatser i akademin? Hur påverkar persona som förändringsmetod förutsättningarna för jämställdhetsinsatser?   I avhandlingen kombineras genusteori med interaktiva metoder, dels för att skapa förståelse för hur genusmönster skapas och återskapas i strukturer, symboler, interaktioner och identiteter (Acker, 1990, 1992, 1999), dels för att minska motståndet mot förändringar genom att involvera aktörer som berörs av forskningen i förändringsprocessen. Trots en tydlig jämställdhetsambition vid Luleå tekniska universitet visar resultaten att den meritokratiska diskursen och diskursen om den jämställda akademin överskuggar jämställdhetsdiskursen, vilket bidrar till att upprätthålla rådande genusmönster. Metaforer som den avsmalnande pyramiden, läckande pipelinen eller svarta hålet kan enligt analysen både främja och hindra förutsättningarna för jämställdhetsinsatser i akademin. Universitetets jämställdhetsinsatser har över tid förändrats från individorienterade med fokus på att stärka enskilda kvinnor, till mer strukturorienterade med inriktning på att förändra missgynnande strukturer för kvinnor och andra missgynnade grupper. På senare tid har även insatser med en processorienterad ansats gjorts som fokuserar på att medvetandegöra och förändra könsskapande processer i akademin. Persona i kombination med andra interaktiva metoder, som värderingsövningar, forumteater och scenarios, visar sig i avhandlingen kunna fungera som förändringsmetod vid jämställdhetsinsatser för att synliggöra och kritiskt reflektera över bristande jämställdhet samt främja förändring.

El presente documento busca demostrar la viabilidad de un nuevo servicio, el cual se tiene intención de introducir al mercado nacional. Tanto la compañía como el servicio comparten el nombre de Twenty, el cual se basa en una academia virtual de nivel de educación superior para apoyar a los estudiantes con respecto a ciertas materias o temas que son considerados como dificultosos de aprender en la universidad. Este concepto de negocio fue planteado y validado mediante profundas investigaciones y una serie de experimentos para tener como resultado un servicio que satisfaga las necesidades de nuestro público: una academia virtual de apoyo a los universitarios. Posterior a dichas investigaciones, se pudo concluir que nuestro público objetivo se componía de estudiantes universitarios, de 18 a 24 años, que deseen reforzar sus conocimientos en los cursos que no han conseguido entender completamente. La falta de tiempo, preparación o entendimiento de los cursos fue identificada como la causa principal. ​En conclusión, luego de haber realizado el lanzamiento de nuestro producto en el mercado, se obtuvieron diferentes críticas constructivas con respecto al servicio que se ofrece, con los cuales pudimos realizar mejoras continuas a Twenty. Gracias a ello, se logrará alcanzar el propósito de la organización: Crear una alternativa donde los estudiantes no solo puedan tomar clases, sino también puedan comprender mejor las más difíciles y utilizar los conocimientos adquiridos en su futuro profesional. / The current document contains and proves the viability of a new service, which intends to be introduced in the national market. Both the company and the brand are called Twenty, which is based on a virtual academy for university level students to post-graduation students about difficult courses or subjects in college. The business concept was raised and validated through deep research and a series of experiments that resulted in a service which satisfies the needs of our target: a virtual academy which support university students from between 18 to 24 years old who wish to reinforce their knowledge of the courses that they haven’t managed to understand completely in their respective courses. The lack of time, preparation and understanding of the courses were identified as the main cause. In conclusion, after launching the product in the market, we received some constructive criticism, and we have improved Twenty greatly. Thanks to that, we’ve achieved the primary purpose of the organization: Create an alternative option where students can not only take classes but to better understand the most difficult ones and use the knowledge they gain in their professional futures. / Trabajo de investigación

A causa del COVID-19, el sector educativo del Perú se vio forzado a reemplazar las clases presenciales por las virtuales. Esta nueva modalidad de estudio ha generado dificultades en el aprendizaje y comprensión de temas para los estudiantes. Es así que muchos de ellos consideran que las clases en modalidad virtual son una forma de autoaprendizaje y la principal causa de su bajo rendimiento académico. Ante la identificación de dichos problemas, el presente trabajo de investigación desarrolló el plan de negocio “EducaT”, el cual consiste en una academia virtual que brinda el servicio de clases de reforzamiento a alumnos pregrado de la carrera de Administración y afines. Esto con la finalidad de solucionar el déficit en el rendimiento académico que dichos alumnos de pregrado presentan a causa de las dificultades y problemas de aprendizajes que ha generado la pandemia. En el desarrollo del proyecto se realizó la validación técnica tras haber entrevistado a alumnos y profesores. Asimismo, se obtuvo la validación de los usuarios luego de obtener como resultados que el diseño, funcionalidad y videos testimoniales favorecen el entendimiento y manejo de la plataforma. Adicionalmente, luego de cuatro experimentos en redes sociales en donde se emplearon anuncios falsos para comunicar los beneficios de suscripción a la plataforma, ofrecer asesorías y clases de reforzamiento de cursos numéricos e inglés se logró validar el interés de compra. Finalmente, se validó la viabilidad del proyecto considerando indicadores de rentabilidad, con la ayuda de cuatro experimentos que se realizaron con la finalidad de conocer el interés de compra por parte del público objetivo de EducaT. / Due to the COVID-19, Peru's education sector was forced to replace face-to-face classes with virtual ones. This new form of study has created difficulties in learning and understanding topics for students. Thus, many of them consider virtual classes to be a form of self-learning and the main cause of their poor academic performance. Faced with the identification of these problems, the present research work developed the "EducaT" business plan, which consists of a virtual academy that provides the service of reinforcement classes to undergraduate students of the Administration career and the like. This in order to solve the deficit in academic performance that these undergraduate students present due to the difficulties and learning problems that the pandemic has generated. During the development of the project, the technical validation was carried out after having interviewed students and teachers. Likewise, the validation of the users was obtained after obtaining as results that the design, functionality and testimonial videos favor the understanding and management of the platform. Additionally, after four experiments on social networks where false advertisements were used to communicate the benefits of subscribing to the platform, offering advice and reinforcement classes for numerical and English courses, the purchase interest was validated. Finally, the viability of the project was validated considering profitability indicators, with the help of four experiments that were carried out in order to know the purchase interest of EducaT's target audience. / Trabajo de investigación

El presente proyecto reside en plantear una idea de negocio, el cual sea rentable y pueda otorgar beneficios a sus fundadores quienes, dentro de la organización, son los socios encargados del manejo interno. El proyecto recibe el nombre de GameGround, es una academia que brinda el servicio de enseñanza de técnicas de videojuegos con el fin de mejorar las habilidades del público objetivo interesado. Gameground está dirigido a niños y jóvenes entre 13 y 25 años que sientan pasión por ser parte del mundo gaming, ellos recibirán el entrenamiento de un coach especializado. El coach se encargará de evaluar las partidas e indicar los puntos fuertes y débiles de cada uno de sus alumnos dependiendo del tipo de juego, siendo 10 personas la cantidad máxima de alumnos matriculados por horario. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo se ha tenido en cuenta el crecimiento de la industria en Perú ya que según la revista virtual “El mundo empresarial” esta será de un 19.76%, estimando un ingreso de USD 191 millones para el año 2024. / This project consists in develop a business idea, which have to be profitable and can provide benefits to its founders who, within the organization, are the partners in charge of internal management. The project is called GameGround, it is an academy that provides the service of teaching videogame techniques in order to improve the skills of the interested target audience. GameGround is aimed at children and young people between 13 and 25 years old who feel a passion to be part of the gaming world, they will receive the training by a specialized coach. The coach will be in charge of evaluating the lessons and indicating the strengths and weaknesses of each of his students according to the type of game, with 10 people being the maximum number of students enrolled per schedule. Abstract Space has always pushed humanity further to acknowledge its existence and what was once mere speculation through observation, today we have reached a climax in fully understanding its reach and its potential for society. Through the utilization of technological advancements, people, countries, and organizations are starting to understand the capacity in utilizing our resources to create and develop fundamental applications that can create positive effects in our environment, society, and economy. The space industry is continuously evolving pushing forth a new age in space technology, a revolutionary space race. This transitory phase from old space and new space has furthered global competition and has created a new path for innovative practices that demand progression to remain sustainable and competitive in the present global environment. Which made us interested in exploring the following research question: How do new entrants in the high-technology space industry navigate the transition from old space to new space? Our thesis aims in understanding this transitory phase from old space and new space. To satisfactory answer our research question we selectively focus on Sweden’s space industry and its relative organizations and businesses. Through the evaluation of smalland medium sized organizations that exist in Sweden’s current space ecosystem, we aim to understand this evolutionary shift in innovative practices, collaborative efforts, and which factors contribute to increasing new entrants in what was once deemed a closed system. Therefore, fulfilling a research gap in academic literature by shedding light on new practices from a stakeholder’s perspective in the creation and diffusion of knowledge, networks, and motivational factors that form opportunities within existing platforms in the space industry that are essential and fundamental to the creation of progressive innovation ecosystems.  To conclude, this thesis contributes with an understanding of the historic, current and future possibilities for small and medium sized organisations within the space sector in Sweden. The purpose of the thesis is the accessibility of electronic sources of judicature in the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with publicly as well as commercially accessible sources. The publicly accessible sources are represented by NALUS which is administered by the Constitutional court, the retrieval system of The Supreme Court of the Czech Republic and the retrieval system of The Supreme Administrative Court. The commercially accessible sources are represented by the Beck online, ASPI and CODEXIS.All the sources taken into account are evaluated by the range of their content, the quality of search engine and user interface.
